This book is part of a series of stand-alones, books that are related but each can be read on their own or in any order. It was my second time reading this author’s work and, like the first time, I really enjoyed this book. When Angelina steps into her boss’ office, all excited by her new idea for an article, she’s totally unprepared to find her boss has retired and his replacement is non other than Blade, the only man she has ever loved. This can be described as a second chance romance but also an opposites attract as Angelina and Blade both come from very different backgrounds, with Blade coming from a wealthy family and Angelina from a very poor family, an issue which caused problems for them. I really enjoyed reading Angelina and Blade’s story. Their chemistry is hot and they are both really interesting characters who you can easily relate to and be swallowed up by their story and the journey that they take you on. The storyline flows well and is very well written, which kept me engaged from the beginning, right up to the end.

The Wolf’s Shadow (The Lycanthropy Files Book 1) by Cecilia Dominic 4 Stars
This is the first book that I have read from this author. I liked her style of writing and enjoyed the story. This isn’t your typical werewolf book. The author put an interesting twist to lycanthropy which was refreshing. After reading a few too many romances, this was a pleasant change of pace. The book is more of a mystery/ thriller with some paranormal thrown in.
Joanie Fisher is a doctor researching the lycanthropy gene. After losing her job and her boss ending their affair, Joanie is definitely feeling the blues. As luck would have it, she becomes the sole heiress to her grandfather’s estate. After moving in, she comes face to face with real werewolves. Is it a connection that she loses her job after her grandfather disappears or is someone pulling some strings? Finding a cure for lycanthropy is her life’s work but puts her life in danger as well.
There is not much romance in this novel and what little there is, I’m assuming will lead to more in the next book. I was fine with that because it’s more of a mystery/ thriller. I found Joanie to be a little too resentful and I didn’t particularly like Lonna. They were supposed to be best friends but I found Lonna not really acting as a friend should. This is where I feel the author did her best writing. I liked the characters and at times I didn’t. I understand why they did things. I believe the author understands people very well. Even good people are not nice all of the time given the right motivation. All in all the book peaked my interest and I had fun trying to figure out “who done it”.

Zenni feels like she has lost nearly every piece that connects her to her past. Colton felt sparks when he met Zenni. Though he put on a strong front, he wanted nothing more than to get to know her. Could he get to know her and follow through with the plans to destroy a part of his past? This was a beautiful story of personal growth and coming together.
This was such a fast read. I loved the storyline and the characters that tie it together. I really wanted more! I would have loved to have more pages in this story so I could just get more of the characters and their world. I was a little sad when it moved so fast and ended so quick. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

This book was phenomenal. I found that once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down. Dr. Joanie Fisher is having a rough life when she learns that her grandfather is believed to have passed away so her life is changed overnight. She has more many than she could have dreamed of and a manor at the top of the hill in a small little town that has a myster….missing children. Joanie’s research is on CLS (Chronic Lycanthropy Syndrome). With the aid of her friend Lonna, and a couple of men with CLS, she throws herself into figuring out what is going on and why because all trails lead back to trouble. The author wrote a story that has kind of a scary plot considering we are coming off covid and the vaccines. Who knows what gets put in vaccinations. Big Pharma is always suspicious. That gave the story a really great mysterious edge. I had a hard time guessing who was truly behind it. Every time I thought I figured it out…wrong! Thrills, chills, and little suspense. Yes, it’s an urban fantasy that has terrific characters. Lonna and Kayla felt like spoiled brats. Joannie was pretty strong for all she went through. Lots of betrayal. The old adage was true in this story: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I enjoyed the plot running smoothly. This is is book 1 of the series. I am highly recommending the series.

This is a short story that I absolutely loved reading. Once I started reading there was no stopping until I finished. I only wish there was more. I loved this romance read but some parts felt a bit rushed and once the story got going things evened out. The author does a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life and keeping your attention. The chemistry between them is fire. Find out what happens between Zenni and Colton as there fight over the Plantation turns into much more than either one ever expected. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is my first book by this author and I was completely hooked. I loved all the emotion that I felt while reading this. IT made it easier for me to enjoy. At times I felt I was inside the book right there with the characters. Well, this is certainly an interesting tale and definitely a unique take on Lycans and their origins. It takes the idea of shifters to a whole other level than has been seen before. It is an urban fantasy paranormal thriller and a very quick read. The book was a great start to the series that has a lot going on. There is a lot of scientific and medical information and has plenty of twist and turns and lots of sub plots to keep you intrigued as the story ebbs and flows.
This story is filled with action and mystery, danger and deception, drama and secrets, romance and so much more. There are a cast of characters and most you will like and others not as much.
Cecila paints a compelling picture where anything may be possible and what a new future could ever look like if it ever came to pass. A compelling case of what ifs. The complex and complicated story line keeps you guessing and is vividly imaginative.
I look forward to the second book to see where Cecila takes us.

Ember and Gavyn have such incredible chemistry. Ember has to deal with a horrible tragedy and is hoping for a fresh start. When fate brings her and Gavyn together, they start out trying to keep their distance from each other but the attraction is undeniable. They have so many obstacles standing in their way that they have to overcome. I really enjoyed the magic aspect and the progression of enemies to falling in love. I was cheering for Ember and Gavyn the whole time and I am so excited to read the next books to come in this series. If you enjoy magic, romance and action this is one book you won’t want to miss!

This is an incredible collection of take your breath away romances. These are each stand alone books so they don’t have to be read in order but this is the perfect way to just indulge in some incredible romances. The author has a way of really making you feel all of the emotions that the couples go through as they fall in love and face struggles on their way to their hoped for happily ever afters. The details and the emotions were so intense as I was reading each of these that it felt like I was part of them. I highly recommend this series if you want to immerse yourself in some incredible romantic stories that will pull you in from the very first page to the very last.

I have found a new author. MK is relatively new as an author this being her second book but her first fantasy book. She also has a short story shared with a compilation of authors. I very much liked her writing style. Paranormal/fantasy is one of my fav genres. The world MK has created for this series is exciting and beautifully done and a variable delight for the imagination.
There is a cast of thousands and there is a lot going on but the intrigue and action pull you in. The characters were well-developed and interesting and I enjoyed the banter, sarcasm and sassiness, it made the story fun. I look forward to seeing how MK brings other character stories to life. This story has some steam and romance, heroes and adventures, fae and humans, magic and elite fighters, thieves and action, lies and betrayal.
This story started out a bit slow and at times seemed to drag but overall, I did enjoy this tale and look forward to the other books.

If you’re looking for a realistic-fantasy world building trilogy this is the series for you. This book starts out a little slow but quickly pulls you in with its dynamic and diverse cast of characters. What most surprised me with this story is how human the characters were written. It was rewarding to watch the characters struggle with their place and positions they all have. Seeing the representation of Ruarnon as a Non-binary was amazing. This isn’t my first book containing an LGBTQ+ character but is my first non-binary and it was awesome seeing things from their perspective. I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next book on the trilogy.

Run to the Sea is the first book in the Reigning Hearts series. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them all.
Emmeline and Thomas have such a sweet story. They started out as childhood best friends and then Thomas disappeared without a word. They run into one after quite a few years and they are both blind sided by the run in.
Thomas had lost who he was due to being blinded by an ambition to prove himself. This story is so much more than a romance it is also about someone rediscovering who they are and where they really belong with a little help from friends and family.
Stars Fall From the Sky is the second book in the Reigning Hearts series.
I fell in love with this story from the beginning. I cried on and off all the way through and was so emotional after finishing it in had to give myself some time to process the story and my emotions.
Ginger’s grief slayed me. I cried for her so many times even when I wasn’t reading the book which doesn’t happen to me very often.
Jonathan was charming, sweet and overall an amazing man. He was more important in Ginger’s working past her grief than either one of them realized.
This is an amazing book about a woman and a man having a second chance in love and worth every year I shed and second I spent reading it.
A Sun So Bright is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. This one got me in the feels big time.
Fiona the poor little rich girl is so much more than what we saw before. We we get to know the real her and learn why she is the way she is.
Chris is not your average guy. He is an amazing man who would do anything for his Mama and that’s important to us Southern girls.
Chris brings out the best of and the real Fiona and because of him she discovers who she really is and her purpose in life.

Oh my goodness, this book had me all over the place. I laughed and was happy, I got angry and even cried reading this book. I had a few moments where I really wasn’t happy with the direction of the story but it wouldn’t have worked any other way so I got over it. Sort of.
Nicky finally has her story with a little help from her friend Amber. What girl hasn’t dreamt of meeting a hot musician? I can remember quiet a few I dreamt about over the years.
Mac had me wrapped around his finger fairly early on and it only got worse (for me) as I read further.
A Cold Creek Christmas: A single dad, small town holiday novella (Reigning Hearts Book 5)
This book saved me while I was home sick. I was able read it between my naps and even helped me stay awake a little longer because I did not want to put it down.
Amber and I had something huge in common and that is neither of us being a big fan of Christmas. Our reasons are similar but different. I loved watching Amber evolve from lonely but content to a happy and in love.
I enjoyed this story so much and loved the way it ended. Happy tears may have been shed.

A quick and easy book for little ones. Caspian receives a special pencil and paper from his grandpa. These special items take Caspian on a special adventure. One word begins the fun and soon he is finding and trading items. The story is easy to follow and very descriptive. It is an interesting story that keeps the young readers entertained and eager to see what happens next with each new item that Caspian gets and when this adventure is over it brings readers back to a point where Caspian is ready for another adventure to begin.

The author was so capable of bring each of these to life. Characters flew off the pages and I yearned to know more about each story!
If I had to choose a personal favorite, Book 5 pulled at my heartstrings and had me most engrossed!

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5) by KG Fletcher. This is an amazing contemporary romance set. It has 5 full stand alone romances but I highly recommend reading them all. The 1st book is Run to the Sea, Its the story of Emeline Fischer and Thomas Capshaw aka Cappy who are best friends growing up on the beaches of Florida. Emeline is an artist who has to work all kinds of jobs to make ends meet. Cappy has moved on to New York City working as a Sketch Artist. When he finds out he was given his grandpa’s beach cottage after he passed he heads back to Florida. He never expected to see Emeline again but he runs right into her at the cafe he visits. They end up going down memory lane and emotions are all over the place. A very good 2nd chance romance. My other favorite is the 5th book, A Cold Creek Christmas,his is the perfect hallmark, holiday story! Its the story of Amber Tatum who hates the holidays. She is a local pub owner and has always wanted a family of her own but life has not given her what she wants. Trauma from her childhood has left her sad, bitter and tired. Giovanni Sentier a single dad who has gone thru a dramatic divorce has moved back to town to take over his Grandmothers cafe. He is ready to settle down but is having trouble balancing work and home life. Being a chef is a 24/7 job. When Amber meets Giovanni she is struck with how good looking he is. Sparks fly and she feels a chemistry with him that she’s never felt before. All 5 of these books will get you in your feels and ready to read more!

I have personally never read anything by this author but this fantastic romantic/fantasy was a great place to start. The character development was fantastic and the story was so great that I couldn’t put it down. But in truth this story had so much to offer from romance, to action, to fantasy, and of course magic. But what really drew me to this book was the beautiful front cover and the synopsis. However neither of them could have prepared me for how amazing this story really is. So if your looking for a great new book, then make sure you pick this one up today.

Unabridged (Lovestruck #2) Melinda De Ross 4 out of 5 Stars Unabridged is the second installment in the Lovestruck series, staring Blade and Angelina, as ex-lovers who are offered a second chance at love when they are forced to work together at a literary magazine. These two have amazing chemistry right from the get-go. Angelina is a badass woman with a big heart, who cares for her mother and her friends. Her voice is original and as the story’s narrator, you feel like you’re right beside her the whole time. Her pain and joy are experienced firsthand. Blade makes for a sexy boss who knows what he wants and is loyal to Angelina. He is powerful and intelligent. As far as book boyfriends go, Blade is an ideal man. The spice scenes in this book were hot! If you’re just finishing a dark romance this book is an excellent palate cleanser with true romance and a happy ending!
This was another book I read with my youngest Autistic son. He liked it a lot and said we needed to read more tomorrow. He already knew the fact at the end but he said that was okay.

Emeline is working two jobs or three if you count her hobby. When an old friend shows up she notices that he’s not the same person. A Cold Creek Christmas is the fifth book in the Reigning Hearts Series. This book is amazing on its own without reading the rest of the series. Amber and Giovanni will leave you wanting more from the author.
Amber hasn’t ever had a Christmas that she has liked. When she meets Giovanni he opens her eyes to Christmas. The thought of him having a daughter scares her, but it doesn’t stop her. Can’t have another repeat of last night.”
Giovanni is a single dad who is now living with his grandmother. He’s taking over her shop and needs to live up to her name. This was the first book I’ve read by this author. I was very impressed and can’t wait to read more. The characters are wonderfully complex, each having their own issues. There’s plenty of action and adventure in this magical story. I’ve always loved stories about faries, magic, anything of the sort. This went a different direction than most and I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend reading The Curse of a Faeblood!

I loved this boxed set of five full length, standalone contemporary romances, and I ‘binge read’ them all. Each story is wonderfully written with likeable and relatable characters, a fascinating storyline, and a plot which has just enough drama along with the romance. The main characters always have plenty of chemistry which of course leads to some steamy scenes. The whole series took me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I felt completely immersed in each heartwarming story and engaged with all the characters.
In ‘Run to the Sea’, Thomas and Emeline are childhood friends who become lovers in a beach romance. Ginger and Doctor Jonathon Walden are the couple having a second chance at love in a small town setting in, ‘Stars Fall From the Sky’. Billionaire heiress Fiona meets bartender Chris in, ‘A Sun So Bright’, which has an enemies to lovers theme. ‘I’ll See You Again’, is a Scottish rock star, opposites attract romance when Nicky and Mac meet. Then single Dad and Christmas lover Giovanni Sentieri meets ‘Grinch’, Amber in, ‘A Cold Creek Christmas’.
This was an enjoyable and engaging series of romances which kept me hooked from book one until book five!

Ruarnon is the heir of Tarlah, they have lessons in combat, the history of their country and their people, as well as learning how to run the kingdom they will one day inherit, all the while trying to impress the current King, who also happens to be their father who believes that because they are non-binary, they have to work harder than most. When they are not training or studying, they are spending time with their family and close friends, that is until one day the reality of their position comes crashing around them when assassination attempts are foiled and their parents are abducted in the middle of the night.
As they are reeling from the recent events, Ruarnon has to take control of their kingdom and make some tough decisions, they are not sure who to trust within their Royal Council and news comes in that their neighbouring Kingdom is rekindling their brutal nature and renewing their efforts to expand into Tarlah. Meanwhile Linh is on a school trip in Australia when suddenly the environment around her changes from somewhere she knows very well to somewhere completely strange and alien, however, when she tries to return the way she came, she realises that she is stuck in a foreign land fortunately is rescued by a boat who takes her to someone who they believe can help her. This is a lot to take in for Linh and her anxiety tries to get the best of her, however, when she learns that there is an option of a race who live in lands far to the north who may have the knowledge she needs to return home, she will take a risk and journey there.
As Linh starts the journey into an uncertain future and to a destination where she is desperately hoping to get the information she needs, a stop is made at a small island for provisions, however, when she is rushed back to their transport, she sees something which terrifies her, there are monsters attacking the islanders and those who are travelling with her and they do not differentiate between age, gender or race, anything that moves is a target for them and they are ruthless. Unknown to Ruarnon, his Kingdom is in more danger than just the expansionist neighbours, so when Linh arrives with the reinforcements he has requested and she tells him of what she has seen on her travels, the reality sets in, but will they be able to make the decisions they need to in order to keep Tarlah safe, no matter what deals they have to make with their enemies in order to do it?
This is a fantasy adventure which is action packed throughout as you see the devastating affects of rivalry, war and monsters as the main characters race against the clock to save as many of those around them by making decisions based on questionable truths brought by unreliable spies which will keep you on your toes throughout and not wanting to put the book down until you find out how it ends.

“The Know-It-All Pencil” is a story about a boy whose grandfather gives him a unique, magical gift. It is part of the Invisible Magic Wand series. I enjoyed this story. I read it without having read the other stories in the series and feel like I would have understood it more if I had read at least the first book in the series. I like the idea of a magic pencil. I was intrigued by the adventure Caspian experienced as a result of receiving the pencil. I recommend this book for children and anyone who enjoys a good children’s story.

This is wonderful box set – I have read 4 of the books and they were all fantastic 5 star reads for me! I love the authors easy to read writing style and her amazing characters who you just cannot help but fall in love with!
Book 1 – Run to the sea
Run to the Sea was a wonderful read by K G Fletcher and one that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. I really love this author and all of the books that I have read by her so far have all been wonderful reads. She has a writing style that is easy to read and her stories flow really well. She creates some amazing characters and Thomas and Emeline were no exceptions! I love a second chance romance and I absolutely adored watching these two characters come back together again and I was rooting for them to fall in love from the start! There were a few obstacles in their way but their story really had me hooked and I really grew to love then over their journey together. There were also some good supporting characters and I am really looking forward to reading more about them in the next book in the series!
Book 2 – Stars fall from the sky
I really liked the story, it was an emotional read and the author definitely got the feels across. I did kind of guess what might happen but that didn’t matter because I really liked the characters. Ginger was a sweet character and I really felt for her with everything that happened. Her love for Rusty and Daisy just poured off the pages at the beginning and so did her grief as the story progressed. I could feel the connection she found with Jonathon, I really liked him!!
Book 3 – A Sun So Bright
Again another wonderful book in this series. The characters were great although it did take a little time for me to warm to Fiona I did eventually and the plot was definitely romantic.
Book 5 – A Cold Creek Christmas
This was such a lovely, heart-warming Christmas read. I really do love this author and this is one of my favourites by her so far! I really liked Amber and Giovanni, both really likeable and relatable characters I felt. I also really loved that real feeling the story had. Giovanni was such a perfect gentleman and form the moment him and Amber met I knew they would be perfect for each other and I was rooting for them the whole way through.
