I love historical romances and this one did not let me down. I like how the author builds the characters and how she lays out the story. I like how it is not predictable. I was quite hooked on the chemistry between the two lead characters.
I love how there is a balance of drama as well. The author does a good job of hooking the reader and keeping you wanting more. I will definitely read more from this author in the future. Reviewed by @caraleeloonat

This is the first book that I have read by this author, and will not be the last, and can I say that this was a STEAMY one that is NSFW! I found myself not being able to put the book down as I was entranced by the book! The story line showcased two very different characters that found themselves thrust together and the sparks flew. Gabriel and Celia’s story is one that was very exciting to read and was one that I LOVED to read. I cannot wait to read more of these books and tell my friends about how great this author is! This will be one that I go back and reread!

I am blown away by Gabriel and Celia’s relationship in this beautiful historical romance! This book is full of detailed, steamy scenes that are incredibly written. April Moran certainly knows how to manage to pull you into this story and keep your interest without every sexual encounter being cliché.
Lady Celia is one of the few friends in her circle that has not found a suitor but still feels the need for distractions. Gabriel does not share the same noble upbringing and is caught in between staying in the shadows or admitting he wants more. Both Gabriel and Lady Celia are on the same page about not wanting to marry, but for similar, unspeakable reasons – they are ashamed of their pasts. While these two seem to be on opposite sides of the love spectrum, they have an un
If we were picking books to re-read, this would be at the top of my list. Even though there are plenty of spectacular steamy sequences in this first book of the Wicked Rogues Romance series, you can expect to be even more fulfilled with the exciting storyline!

This was an amazing book. I really couldn’t put the book down. The couple, they seemed like they were not meant for each other, but they start this bonding relationship and they start liking each other. This book starts off with promises of anything a romance is really made of. Lady Celia Buchanan is the daughter of an Earl that is looking for love, understanding and acceptance of her secrets from her past. Gabriel Rose is the bastard son of a nobleman that is drawn to Celia. He wants his woman, he thinks his social status is the way to go to get her. The two in the couple fall for each other, this is the opposites attract type romance and in so many good ways in this book. Their attraction is super strong, they are an alpha and gives his girl the comfort a lady really needs and deserves. April Moran writes a very well start for her series I do recommend this book if you like a very well written romance with all the spicy details.

A wonderful time piece romance with a dark and steamy twist.
Celia Buchanan, a headstrong daughter of high society, with a scarred past pushing shadows onto her future.
Gabriel Rose, a strong man not afraid to play the villain, with a conflicting bloodline.
They know that something exists between them even before their eyes meet. The chemistry is palpable, and all their friends can tell. But they both try and fight their future. But fate has a funny way of making everything happen, one way or another. Together, Celia and Gabriel learn each other’s secrets and pasts, and work together to build a better future for themselves, together.

I love being thrown back in time and through the maze of emotions of Gabriel and Celia. Her feistiness and his domineering personality make for an entertaining read. The things about this book that I loved and kept my eyes glued to it are the detailed love scenes, vibrant personalities, and true passion of these characters. Some parts of this book had me wanting to reach through the pages and strangle them, and that just goes to show how emotionally invested this author makes her readers. I would strongly recommend this author and series to anyone that thinks they can handle the heat on these pages.

Not often do I find myself reading a book that just really checks all of the boxes. This one however, This book checked more boxes than I initially had for what I hope a book is or has. It was so incredibly well written and thought out. I couldn’t have put it down if I’d have tried. It truly captured me and I hung on every word waiting, hoping for what was to come. A new author for me but she blew me away! Was an awesome read that transported me to a different place and time in the best way!!

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. The sexual tension and the angst was amazing. I loved the hero aspect of Gabriel. But also his side of thinking that he wasn’t good enough for anyone let alone Celia.
Also her thinking the same about herself. I just loved their chemistry and honestly Celia’s bratiness. They bounced off each other so playfully and well. I cannot wait to read anything else written by this author. This was just a great time. Review by @michellerenee6590

Wow!! What a read! Historical romance is by far my favourite genre, I just absolutely love being transported back in time and this book as soon as I read the synopsis I couldn’t wait to get started and my gosh it did not disappoint at all! This was definitely one smoking hot story! I think it’s the first I’ve read by this author and I cannot wait to read more by her. The characters were fantastic to read about, Celia and Gabriel has so much chemistry it just oozed off the pages as I was reading – I am definitely a little bit in love with Gabriel! He was hot, possessive and dominating – book boyfriend material!! The authors attention to detail meant that scenery was easy to imagine. Overall it really was a brilliant read and one that I would highly recommend.

My Darling Rogue is a historical romance and the first book in what promises to be a very entertaining series. This is my first book by this author so I didn’t know what to expect but I was definitely surprised. This deliciously delectable book had me hooked.
My God what a rogue – The mysterious Gabriel is an alpha male. He is a little dark, passionate and possessive, somewhat dangerous and knows what he likes. Cecelia is a bit of a flirt, beautiful and seductive in her own way. Together they are hot, hot, hot. Sexy, steamy and oh so sensual……
I enjoyed the push pull of their relationship and navigating things from their secrets and past.

I absolutely adored this story! Was definitely a steamy historical romance novel that I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is a fan of this genre. I can’t wait to read the rest of her books and see where this series goes! The main characters were fantastic! I loved that Celia was fiery and stubborn, who was trying to create her own destiny and despite her terrible secret, she was still trying to live her life and find her true love. Gabe was such a hot character and I adored how passionate he was and sexy he could be. The two are absolutely drawn together and despite their initial fears, they eventually give into their passions. The passion between these characters is electric and their bedroom scenes are hot!

This book literally had everything! I very much enjoyed my time reading, as well as the strong character development and how things progressed, and well with the ultimate ending really. I really enjoyed how the author did their writing as well! The book and words it held, really captivated me!
First loved the romance in this book, and the steam level was off the charts. I loved the romance between Celia and Gabriel. Both had their obstacles within themselves, but the biggest obstacle of all was what was blooming between them. I enjoyed their story and how things played out. The steam moments were really realistic as well! I could not put this book down, or turn away! Loved it!
The book was compelling and full of intrigue! I simply loved the writing and how the story was! Defiantly kept me interested all the way through! Highly recommend this must read book and author!

An enjoyable and engaging historical romance, where falling in love with a rogue is risky. Living her life in a social whirl, Lady Celia Buchanan is also hiding a secret which could ruin her. Celia needs to find a suitable husband who is either unaware of her secret, or one who won’t care. It’s not until she meets Gabriel, that she actually believes that such a man exists. Gabriel Rose, lives on the border between nobility and the murky London shadows, and is known as a rogue. Gabriel has also been watching Lady Celia Buchanan from the shadows, and his obsession with her is growing. When Celia and Gabriel share a kiss in the darkness, her fate is sealed, as far as Gabriel is concerned she’s his and he will do anything to keep her. For Celia, Gabriel’s kiss sets her on fire as do the scandalous words that he whispers in her ear, but can she trust a rogue. When a change in circumstances and rank, along with a compromising situation result in a hasty marriage, the couple have to deal with society’s prejudices. However, when a threat from the past arises the lovers may realise that they do indeed belong together. Celia and Gabriel are wonderfully detailed characters, and Gabriel is definitely an unapologetic and possessive hero. Their chemistry sizzles off the page and leads to some extremely steamy scenes, and Gabriel’s bad language is definitely not gentlemanly! I was hooked by this romance and the author does a great job of setting both time and place, making me feel immersed in the story and the era. An entertaining read, and one which I recommend.

While one is looking for the unaware husband, the other is rogue and watching her from afar. What happens next? Well read on for I give no spoilers. Something different for this author. I have read many of her books but none compare to this one. This story has so much more steam and hot moments. I could not help falling for the characters in this story. Two completely different worlds, coming together can stir up quite a story. Bring on book 2!

“ “The lady in question has no interest in me. True, I’ve aided her a few times in past months, but we’ve hardly said two words to one another. She views me as little more than a servant. Perhaps even less.” Although he laughed at the possibility of Celia Buchanan ever accepting him as suitor, Gabriel admitted the idea filled him with a longing he could not ignore. He’d give his soul to have all obstacles of class and background erased between them. To be seen as an equal, one fit to pursue the lady he desired, accepted based on his character and deeds. ”
My Darling Rogue is the first book in the Wicked Rogues Romance series by April Moran. It is an interesting historical romance with angst, drama, chemistry, steam, emotion, secrets, danger, and more. Lady Celia Buchanan is about to meet her match when she meets Gabriel Rose. Their chemistry sizzles and the sparks fly, with danger adding even more intensity to the whole story. What happens makes for a captivating read. This may be my first read by Ms. Moran, but it proved to be quite an intriguing read, so I will definitely be exploring more of her books as soon as possible. Happy Reading!

My Darling Rogue was not quite what I expected. I did enjoy it, the two main characters drove me crazy. The constant hot & cold with so much love and passion for one another. Yet neither knew how to handle those feelings. As individuals or even together. In saying that also means there was a lot of character growth throughout. Growing into themselves as well as each other. Gabriel Rose, is a wealthy nobody, in a society where titles are everything. Yet he has friends in high places, so despite his wealth, lands him at quite a few society parties through the year. People he feels he doesn’t belong among but it’s also where some of his closest friends are. It’s also how Lady Celia caught his eye. She’s the girl he can’t resist, yet the one he can’t have. Or can he? What happens when one night his life changes on a dime, up now you are no longer a commoner but a Marquess instead? Lady Celia is tired of being pushed to choose. She doesn’t want to marry those who’ve recently been around her despite her mother’s insistence. What her mother doesn’t know is that her daughter plays dangerous games. Putting herself in precarious situations that could ruin a lady of society. And on more than one occasion has needed rescuing by Mr. Rose. She’s taken with Mr. Rose. Unfortunately she knows that society dictates they can’t be together, which is also why he’s perfect. Till one night all that changes. This romance is a whirlwind of growth, learning, acceptance, and protection. These two care so fiercely but are never up front about it. Which makes their adventure a difficult one. Hopefully they get past that before a blast from the past comes to rock their world. Will it bring them closer together? Will it tear them apart? You are just going to have to read to find out. 😀

This book had everything, it had slow-burn romance, spicy scenes (lots and LOTS of spicy scenes), action, and a morally grey love interest. Gabriel Rose is perfection. He’s confident, he’s sarcastic and witty, he’s so very thoughtful and considerate with Celia, and he’s a dom in bed. My only issue with him is that he calls her his property….I understand calling someone “yours” but I cannot forgive him for repeatedly calling her his “property.” Celia frustrated me a lot because she just kept worrying about what the ton would think, and honestly she kind of made things worse by trying to help. Other than that, I loved her, and she is the perfect sub for Gabriel.

This is not the sort of book I would normally seek out to read, but I was intrigued and ultimately very impressed! The author does a great job of setting the scene, delving into juicy detail, and building characters and tension. Gabriel is a strong, take charge, possessive male and just what Celia needs in her life after the shadows of her past. Good story, lots of steamy scenes. Overall a very entertaining read!

This was my first book by April Moran. I was hesitant because romance books are not my cup of tea….unless they are steamy! I was not disappointed. 50 Shades meets ristorical romance!
I loved Celia’s character. Very much the lady she is expected to be with just enough spunk to keep people on their toes. She has a troubled past that she has kept secret, but it makes her feel unworthy.
Gabriel is your typical tall, dark and handsome main character. He’s a bastard, and sticks to the shadows during parties with the nobility. He has his eyes on Lady Celia, even though he feels he’s not suitable for her.
I felt the connection between Celia and Gabriel from their first encounter in this story. It never simmered out. I had a hard time putting this down, and I’m sure I blushed a few times while reading on my lunch break. If you don’t mind some mild S&M, this book is definitely for you!

A wonderful, very steamy romance. Gabriel and Celia were great characters for this story. They funny banter between the two was entertaining. Gabriel’s was very possessive for Celia but always cared and loved her, always made she she had what she needed and was well taken care of. Celia is a strong woman who keeps Gabriel on his toes. She tried to handle her past on her own but she found that she needed a little help and was grateful for it. They learned to trust one another completely. It was cute, funny, and super steamy! Would recommend!

I wanted to see how the connection between the characters would develop over time. I thought the connection between was strong. The book was carried on the back of the two of them and I thought they were a perfect fit for each other. The storyline was interesting. I wanted to find out more about what was going to happen, and I wanted to see how things would work out with the characters. She has some secrets that could ruin her so she seeks a husband. He has been watching her from the shadows. Will he convince her he is for her? I enjoyed watching their relationship grow throughout the story. They have great chemistry and they heat the pages fast. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. A fast paced story that had me coming back for more. I really enjoyed the steamy and verbal interactions. This is a great story that I highly recommend reading. This book was based on times and places where there were titles based on money. Gabriel was someone who stayed in the shadows and people looked down on him not knowing who he really was. He was connected with the right people from low and high society. All his time in the shadows he has been watching Celia, who has been in search of a husband. The passion that these two share with one another is off the charts. Celia has a history, a past, that no one knows about as it would shame her family. Gabriel can’t seem to stay away from her and is always saving her. His character is large and protective and fierce. Celia is stubborn and I love her character the more for it. These two have a story that’s worth reading and the end is worth it all the more. I will warn you there were some triggering moments for me based on my past but I kept reading due to the love Gabriel showed Celia and the understanding the two have for one another.

“Danger lurks around every corner for a beautiful woman. Especially young, wealthy, beautiful women. There is always someone eager to take advantage….” This truly sums up the story of Celia and Gabriel. A story of love, lust, romance and danger. Gabriel, doesn’t view himself as worthy of marriage for Celia. Celia is a high-spirited woman carrying baggage that she doesn’t share with anyone…and she often finds herself in trouble. The chemistry in this story could burn down the barn. Their sexy flirting is what keeps you laughing because they just need to admit (not so easy to do for the time period). As some may say, Celia should have been born in another period. She’s noone’s property. The story is well-developed with two storylines that intertwine nicely with no glitches. There is even a plot twist or too. A quick, fun read with a bit of steam.

This book is a historical romance with a sexy steamy twist. The author does an amazing job of setting the scenes and the story along the lines of the time but by injecting some sexual chemistry between the characters making this one story I couldn’t put down.
Gabriel Rose is the illegitimate son of a nobleman but because of this is he has a lower standing in society. However he has his eye on a particular lady, even though he should. He can’t deny his attraction to Lady Celia Buchanan. Knowing that his affection and attraction to her isn’t allowed he has turned away and kept his distance until things change and what was thought impossible becomes possible.
Lady Celia has secrets of her own. She is a very strong, determined young woman, who because of circumstances in her past has become a bit of a flirt. She feels an attraction to Gabriel, there is something about the dark mysterious man that keeps drawing her in. Will the secrets he hold be enough to heal her pain and make her feel whole again? Or will the fact of his parentage or lack of mean that their connection can never be?
This story is beautifully written, you really get a feel for the era and how society viewed certain things such as a woman being a flirt and a man with interests on a lady above his social standing. The way the character come together and their personalities beautifully complement each other and takes this romance to another level.

Celia Buchanan lives her life in a social whirl. And she’s hiding a secret that could ruin her. She needs a suitable husband who is either blissfully unaware of the devastating truth or adores her so much it won’t matter. She doubts such a man exists until she discovers Gabriel Rose watches her from the shadows. He may be a rogue, but his kisses set Celia on fire and the things he whispers in her ear are utterly scandalous.
Gabriel Rose straddles the border between nobility and London’s murky shadows. He is content there—until he discovers an obsession with the one woman he can never claim as his. But when Celia grants him a kiss in the darkness, her fate is sealed. Once Gabriel tastes her sweetness, he cannot let her go. What must he do to keep her forever?
Destiny is a fickle creature. A bastard is abruptly elevated to the rank of marquess, and a lady is caught in a compromising situation. A hasty marriage may not erase dark secrets and society’s prejudices but will a dangerous threat from the past force these star-crossed lovers to realize they belong together?
April enjoys writing both historical and new adult romance with a generous splash of heat. When not penning tales of passion, she enjoys traveling with her husband, attending rock concerts with friends, and time spent with family. Brainstorming new storylines is best done while riding her horse or during long walks with her German Shepherd. A tumbler of good whiskey helps tie all the details together and brings her characters to life.
