The Guard by Ashley Pagano a fancy five-star read. This is number two in a Soppranaturale series and it is best to read them in order to get the most out of them. This was such a well-done paranormal story, it has so many fast-paced lines that hook you in and don’t let go. There is something for everyone in this series and this story, action and passion and romance, a story that will run you through the emotional wringer, but you will still love it. I don’t want to say too much, so I will just say you need this story!!

This book is an awesome second book. It’s not too often that a second equals or is better than the first. This is one special book because it does that! It is a continuation of book 1 and tells how things are since winning the Gauntlet. Each of the characters is moved forward personally but they also grow together. I loved seeing each of them and their powers.
Do you like action, romance, paranormals? Yes, Yes, Yes?..Me too! This has all that and more! This is full of wonderful characters. I loved wondering what Ommily and Link would do next, who they would run into and what kind of paranormal they were. Or maybe they were human.
Overall I really loved this! Excellent idea (hotel) for the story. The characters are fun, sassy and annoying. They even made me tear up! I would love to see more of these characters anytime!
I would highly recommend reading The Gauntlet (book 1) before reading this. There are a few overlapping stories as well as the first time Ommily comes to the hotel.

We are still at the Soppranaturale Hotel which is an undercover sanctuary for paranormal & supernatural creatures who run the Soppranaturale. Ommily and Link are the very last two Fae and they love each other dearly. Ommily and Link are assigned to protect and then conquer the Gauntlet. They are now trying to protect the Soppranaturale Hotel from its pending demise. They along with other members of the Guard are using their powers to fight the rouge supernaturals. Going thru horrible battles and testing every bit of their powers and relationship Link and Ommily will fight til the bitter end. This book was once again written brilliantly, with brilliant descriptions and epic high fantasy, romance, action & adventure, It was a captivating and engaging read from the very beginning. This book picks up right after book 1 so I highly suggest that you read them both in order to get the full experience of the characters stories and journeys from the very beginning.
This book fully captivates you into this world the author has created and you get lost within the pages, it feels like you are there within the story living it out alongside the characters. You will never get bored while reading this book, it’s fast-paced and will leave you wanting more! I can’t wait to read more from this author and to see what else will come to series! I really enjoyed the second book in the Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. I don’t usually read this particular genre but I really liked book 1 and the authors writing I felt was really engaging and enjoyable to read. Again I was quickly absorbed into what I was reading; the author’s descriptive language makes for great world building. The characters are very creative and I liked reading about them. I enjoyed following Link and Ommily again in this story, they definitely had some obstacles to face this time – I loved reading about them! The story does have quite a few layers to it which made it more exciting to read, I found myself easily lost in what I was reading! I think this book definitely needs to be read after book 1 to fully understand everything going on. I definitely recommend this series!!

YES! I had high hopes for this novel after reading the first in the series, which I recommend that you do as well before diving into this one, but this knocked it out of the park. I really have grown to love taking an escape type vacation to a magical world of the Soppranaturale. The way this book is written you are transported to a land you could only imagine in your wildest dreams with all kinds of magic and inhuman creatures.
This book picks up just shortly after the last with Ommily and Link finally finding each other and in the Guard but with a whole new set of obstacles in their way. There are several layered elements between the Guard and the romance between the two that there is hardly a moment to breathe let alone get bored. I found myself reading this well into the night to see how the culmination of everything would turn out. Not one missed wink was missed. I look forward to seeing what will come next from Ashley Pagano!

I loved the first book and couldn’t wait to dive into this story and continue the adventure. Full of magic, secrets, supernatural and paranormal beings, discovery, action, danger, and more. We discovered The Soppranaturale Hotel in Book One- the ’undercover’ sanctuary for paranormal & supernatural creatures who all do their part to keep things running and contribute to The Soppranaturale. We met Ommily and Link- the very last two Fae, as they proceeded to connect and then conquer the Gauntlet. This book sees them being tested like never before, as rouge supernaturals enter the picture- placing everything they hold dear in grave danger! What happens next kept me avidly reading to discover if they win out in the end. I loved reading the book The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2) by Ashley Pagano. It is a story that includes action, danger, romance, and magical beings. It is a book that pulled me in, and I was hooked. I love the characters of Link and Ommily. They have found each other and reading about their feelings for each other made me believe in true love and soulmates. This story has suspense and I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. What will happen when evil forces rise against the Soppranaturale hotel? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job in world-building and making both the storyline and the characters come to life on the pages. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interact with Link and Ommily. Many of them are helpful and help them take a stand against the forces that come against them. I enjoyed this book. This is book two in this series, I highly suggest you read book one before this one. It will help your enhancement of this series and get to know where the characters come from and where they are now. This is a great second part of this story. The Gauntlet was an exciting and action packed novel that I absolutely could not put down. I was immediately drawn in with the main characters and their mention of souls mates at the start of the novel. I loved the magic and paranormal creatures in this book. They were very creative and fun. The author did an excellent job on all of the characters and their development. I also really enjoyed the storyline and found it easy to follow. This is the first book I have read from this author and I look forward to reading more. I highly recommend this book.

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano was a very unique and interesting book.It was pretty cool and I found it very easy to lose time in. It had vampires, fae and other supernatural beings and was a unique take on the supernatural world. I really liked the characters pretty much instantly. I thought the writing was good and the story was well done. This is not my first book by this author and won’t be my last. I enjoy her writing style and look forward to other books in this series. Overall I have no complaints because I enjoyed reading it. 4 star rating.

I thought this book was really cool. It was the first book that I have read from this author and I found the story to be quite original. It had vampires and fae but also several other supernaturals. The story takes place in a hotel with a hidden agenda. It’s a supernatural refuge! They live in peace while in the hotel. They only place they are allowed to fight is in the Gauntlet. The book was filled with action, mischief and love. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series By Ashley Pagano. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this very magically engaging storyline. While this is a shorter story it doesn’t lack anything I’d want, it’s got a great storyline and characters I loved. How the author packed so much into a shorter story without confusion or feeling rushed took skills. It’s well written and paced nicely never. I definitely liked the unique approach that was taken, it’s nice to see fresh ideas. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and I highly recommend it. Ommily shows up at the Soppranaturale Hotel and Link immediately feels the pull towards her. But this isn’t possible, is it? Has he finally found another Faerie? He feel so much more around her, and they feel drawn to each other. They are two halves of a whole, created to work together. Circumstances then throw them into the Gaunlet. Can a woman who has just learned what she is and a man who swore to never turn to violence again win against the top ranking team? What will this mean for the future?
This was quite an interesting book. I liked both the main characters and cannot wait to learn more about the secondary characters. They are all so unique and exciting to me. Basing it around a supernatural hotel is also a wonderful idea. I love this concept. It was a very gripping story too. There are many things going on and a few surprises along the way. This seems to be the beginning of a great series and I anxiously await the next book in the series.
If you like supernatural books with action and romance, this book is for you.

Link is a fairy who works at the Soppranaturale Hotel. The hotel isnt all that it seems as it houses supernatural beings as well as humans.
One guest arrived who appears to be more than she seems. When she connects with Link an adventure starts which ends with them in a battle in The Gauntlet.
Its a fast paced story that keeps your reading until the end

I really like the idea of supernatural beings living together in a hotel. It’s kind of like a mix between Altered Carbon and the adults from Harry Potter. With that those types of shenanigans bouncing around in my brain, this particular story was more serious that I imagined it would be, but that’s not a bad thing. It was really hard to not think of Link in a little green tunic and hat, and I really wanted him to call Ommily Zelda at least once. But she’s more like Shiek, in that Ommily is some one I would be able to view as a fighter more quickly. The first couple sentences grab you with the odd details that make everything more real. I could see the puckering in the wallpaper, I could SEE Ommily moving from painting to painting. Ashley Pagano’s writing style is a bit odd but dang, if she doesn’t pull me along with ease.

The Gauntlet by Ashley Pagano is the first book in “The Soppranaturale Series”. I was drawn into the story immediately and did not want it to end. This is a quick read but worth the time. Ommily and Link are tasked with defeating the Gauntlet. Will they work together and win? I really enjoyed the characters of Ommily and Link. The two are different but similar in some aspects. I like that the two of them have powers that work together. This makes them a powerful team. Also, the other characters at the Soppranaturale are interesting as well. I look forward to more in this series and where the story will go in the future.

The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series is a short paranormal story of characters who are vampire, shape-shifters, witches and fae. The two main characters are the last two fae and this tells of them finding each other in a supernatural safe haven which is a hotel where they all live and work. I enjoyed this book. I found it intriguing from the start. I wish there was more detail of how the hotel got started but I’m sure it will be in the other series, hopefully. I will keep reading the rest of the series to find out!

What a cool idea for a Paranormal story! A hotel with a floor and secret area for Paranormals to be themselves. I enjoyed these characters! They were fun and full of wonder. It took me a bit to understand who and what Link was let alone why he was so curious and excited about meeting Ommily. Once I figured all that out I was golden!
The secondary characters were fun and added a lot of smiles to the story. I would have hoped each of them would have gotten their own story in future books. I think we will be finding out more and more about Link and Ommily in future books but that seems up in the air. The book ends not on a cliffhanger but leaves the reader wondering how the characters will move forward.

A refreshing change of pace, THE GAUNTLET is a tale of magical creatures who cohabitate in a way that helps keep the mystical secrets from the human world. Like the blurb says, it’s literally hidden in plain site.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I enjoyed the way ze wrote. Great world building, wonderful relationship development, humor, suspense and all around great writing.

The Gauntlet: The Soppernaturale Series by Ashley Pagano was such a fun short read! I went in blind, basing my interest solely on the fabulous and eye-catching cover that graces this jam packed little gem. I was pleasantly surprised by how much this book truly sucked me in and gripped me until the very last page. I look forward to seeing what else will come in this series, as well as what else is available by Ashely Pagano while I wait. She was a new author to me when I picked this up and so that is just an added bonus that I get to see discover her other works now as well.
There is so much going on in this little book based around an intriguing and bustling with activity hotel. There is a little of everything you could want in a fantasy and supernatural book, everything from witches and vampires to fae and magic. There is never a dull moment and I absolutely adored following along with Ommily. Might I just say I adore her name and was hooked on her character from the very get-go! I love her and she was just a fun character to read. I highly recommend this book and can’t say enough good things about it. For all the good details though, you will have to take my word for it and scoop it up to devour for yourself! You won’t be disappointed one bit that you did!

The Gauntlet is the first book in The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. It is a short, easy, original, and intriguing paranormal story that really was so much fun to read. I loved Ms. Pagano’s Never Fear the Reaper series and so when I saw this pop up in my recommended books feed, I knew I just had to read it. Gorgeous cover and intriguing blurb aside- this book is full of action, adventure, magic, secrets, supernatural and paranormal beings, fate/destiny, discovery, battles, and finally finding where you truly belong. The story is set in The Soppranaturale Hotel which is actually an ’undercover’ sanctuary for paranormal & supernatural creatures. It is run by a vampire who is much, much, older than Christ himself- where all the inhabitants do their part to keep things running and contribute to The Soppranaturale. So, what happens when the very last two Fae cross paths at the hotel? What is The Gauntlet and how does it play into the story. Will Ommily get all the ‘answers’ she’s been searching for? Will Link finally find the ‘cure’ to his loneliness? Is there a future for the all at The Soppranaturale? If you love a well written, light, fun, and interesting paranormal story- then you really should read this book and discover all the fun details for yourself! Looking forward to more from Ms. Pagano’s incredible imagination!

I loved this read! It has everything and more! Ashley Pagano is a new author for me and getting the chance to read The Gauntlet was everything I hoped it would be. I was totally captivated with this reading, I couldn’t put it down. This author has created a well developed and mentally visual read that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Ashley Pagano made it even better by creating two brilliant characters that had an undeniable connection from the moment they meet. This is a brilliant fantasy read that will have you wondering what could happen next,its full of suspense, action, adventure, danger & magic but lets not forget the romance.
I highly recommend this read! It is one that shouldn’t be missed! I can’t wait to see what else this author brings!
