I struggled with getting into this book, not because it wasn’t well written or the characters were bad, quite the contrary. The flow of this book is not something I’m used to so it took me a few chapters to acclimate myself to it. There were also so many different characters and code names and storylines to keep up with that I found it possible to be easily confused from time to time.
While I did not hate this book, it wasn’t a favorite for me, but I would absolutely give this author another chance to see if it was just this particular book or her writing style in general that isn’t my forte.

My first time reading anything by this author definitely did not disappoint! I was sucked in almost immediately by this prequel. A quick easy read that kept me wanting more! I hate cliffhangers but knowing this is a prequel I was prepared for it, and I absolutely cannot wait to read more of “Jack” and “Nolan’s” story! Jack and Nolan meet in a dive bar, somewhere Jack doesn’t look like she belongs. Things turn hot fast and neither seems to want to deny or admit what they are feeling, after all it was only supposed to be one night. I will definitely be preordering the first book in the series and reading all her previous books!

This was a really cute book, and I enjoyed it very much. Max and Ginny were together forever, until they weren’t. Max stayed in their hometown and follows his dream of opening the diner and making it his own, while Ginny goes to New York and follows her own. Are they truly happy with how their lives turned out after their marriage fell apart? This second-chance romance is worth the read for sure!

I love the back and forth banter between Chase and Kate, they had great chemistry from the start. I must say with the way Chase treats Kate I’m mildly jealous, because dang I’d definitely like to be her. The care and attention he shows her in all aspect is not something you find in men anymore. This was the first book I’ve read by Via Mari, but I can guarantee I will be reading more and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!!

Second chance romance is usually always a win for me, and this story was no exception!
Ted gets put in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, taking the fall in place of the person loves most in this world. Ted was completely railroaded in the case against him. Ted and Robyn never stopped loving each other, even though she has seemingly moved on, but truth be told, she isn’t happy in her current relationship. This was an excellent start to a new series that I cannot wait to read more of!

I love a good slow burn and this is definitely that! The fire and passion that burns from the start between Enzo and Candi is undeniable. Even though they have both been dealt some crappy hands in life they are perfect for each other and truly help the other grow and heal from past trauma. He screws up and comes close to losing her at one point, but they manage to salvage what has been damaged.

This was such a fantastic book! I loved Austin and Casey, they have amazing chemistry!
When Austin and Casey meet Austin is still hung up on Mavis, who did him a favor and chose his twin brother Josh over him. Austin instantly feels something for Casey but can’t quite move on from his feelings for Mavis. When he has an opportunity to move from sunny LA to the Windy City he jumps at the chance, and this is when his feelings for Casey truly grow and develop.

I loved how their relationship grew and they worked through their problems. As someone who often doubts herself and lacks confidence Casey is very relatable to me. I love how Austin believed in and supported her and her dreams, and was always pushing her to believe in herself and chase after what she wants! I think we all need someone like that in our corner.

I LOVED every minute of this book! I was sucked in from the start and couldn’t leave it alone until I consumed its entirety! The chemistry between Eve and Devlin was off the charts, and all the twists and turns and unexpected things that happened kept the book exciting! I feel like a few things I somehow should have seen coming, but I definitely didn’t! I truly wish I could give this book 10 stars!

I appreciated the build up to the steamier moments, and the real life issues they faced. I would definitely recommend this book, and I can’t wait to read the rest in this series and more from this author!

I love a good boxset three books for the price of one you cannot beat a deal like that in my opinion!
The fact that it was about my beloved Hawaii was an added bonus! I love the vivid imagery the author gave, I was instantly transported to the Hawaiian Islands. Imagining it in another time too was interesting, I often imagine myself in the place of the heroine in the books I read and that was very easy to do with this series. I look forward to reading more from this author!

I absolutely loved Jake and Lauren. I love that there was a little drama in this book, but it wasn’t constantly something trying to keep them apart. Lauren came from nothing with a gold digger for a mother, so when Jake and she are thrown together by friends she has reservations, and understandably so. She is sweet and down to earth and is petrified of being seen as a gold digger herself because of her mother. Jake never views her that way. Beautifully written story and I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!

How their lives together were blown apart and put back together makes this a must read for me, and one I could definitely see myself reading again. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

I love that this book talked about not just mental health in general, but specifically men’s mental health. Mental health is still such a taboo subject and to have a book that talks about it is great! Men’s mental health is more taboo that women’s because men are seen as strong, virile, and like nothing can get to them. When in reality that is not the case, they are just as prone to mental health issues as women and should never be ashamed of it.
I loved the characters of Evan and Callie, I think they were a great match. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

I really enjoyed this book. Levi comes off as a huge jerk, and Bella appears to be very snobbish, but you quickly learn these are protective mechanisms for both characters. It is very evident from the beginning that they each have feelings for the other that they are denying and fighting all the way. I look forward to reading more in this series!

I always love a well written slow burn novel, and this one did not disappoint! I loved Nicco and Destiny, they had really great chemistry from the start. She is a little gun shy because she is afraid of putting herself back out there and getting hurt, and he is a up and coming playboy actor and musician. Italy is known for love and romance, and being Italian you would think that he would be ready to fall in love with a woman but past heartbreaks have left him a little jaded and weary of women. Can Destiny change his mind and his heart, or is it a lost cause?

While I am now and will forever be drawn to romance, I can’t help but enjoy a good suspense too, the great thing is this has all that and more! I was drawn in from the very start! I really enjoyed this book, the characters felt real and relatable. I truly appreciate how this book talks about mental heath, especially men’s mental health because I genuinely feel like mental health in men is so often looked over. Men are considered strong and like nothing can break them, and while that may be partially true, men are human just the same and feel emotions and deal with things they don’t always discuss. I love how the relationship between these two evolved, they are both a little damaged. His was from injuries and losing the one thing that mattered most to him, until Ember. Hers was from the relationship with her mother. I wasn’t too sure I would be able to get into this book at the beginning, but it didn’t take long for the storyline to progress and make it easy to get into.

It was supposed to be just one weekend of fun, but will their no strings weekend be enough for this steamy duo?

I seriously struggled to get into this book. Normally when I start a book it keeps my attention, even if it takes me a bit to get into it. This book didn’t keep my attention at all. I never like to give a negative review, but I want to always be honest, too. Bree was relatable in the things that she had been through with past relationships, but I felt like she dwelled on them too much. Nate was very intense, and if I had been her I would have tried to be nice but get my point across a little clearer than she did. I tried really hard to get into this book and desperately wanted to love it, but I didn’t it wasn’t completely horrible by any means, just not a favorite.

I enjoyed Trey and Hailey’s story. Everything I have read from this series has been really good! I think I love Trey the most of all the men in this series though. Even though he is still a member of a ruthless and powerful mafia family he is also kind and compassionate and a doctor. It was easy to get behind Hailey’s cause and want to see them take down her traitorous stepfather, and find love in the middle of it all.

I loved Kendall and Pete’s story! Their transition from old friends to lovers was steamy. I found myself laughing out loud several times with this book, and I truly appreciate that. I don’t find that too often with steamy romance novels. Each of the main characters was so well written, I felt like I was watching everything play out right before my eyes. From the awkward preteen/teen years of lust to grown adults indulging and falling for each other. I need more well written books like this in my life! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

This was a great collection of stories. Each one draws you in quickly, and keeps you wanting more. None of these books felt sluggish to me, they progress gradually and keep you invested. I will definitely read more from this author. She has a way with words that plays with ones emotions and makes you feel like you are right there living the characters life, or watching as an onlooker as their stories progress.

I love Mafia romance, this book was no exception for me! I need to invest in the entire series because I need more! This was the first book I have read by this author, but I appreciate her writing. She has this ability to draw you in from the beginning and keep you hanging on, reading well into the wee hours of the morning when you should be sleeping. I love Luc and Summer’s story, the push and pull, the unexpected surprise, and the undeniable heat between them. This should definitely be a must read!
