Flicker to Fire (Crimson Sash Book 3) by Amanda Marin, is the culmination of the Crimson sash series. I have to admit it didn’t actually go the way I thought it would, I think it went a whole lot better. I always like to be surprised; I always like it when the ending is a little bit different than what I imagined. Neve and Micah have fought a hard fight for love. You can’t leave this book unread. I have enjoyed this series for the wonderful story that it is, but also for the parts of it that reflect our present society.

The second book in the Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge and I am definitely going to be falling in love with these brothers! Tyler was just so yummy and wonderful to read about! I think I loved him from the very beginning! The relationship between him and his brothers and dad was interesting to read about. There was this genuine and instant connection between Tyler and Gianna, I could feel it form the moment they met. I really enjoyed reading their story and seeing something grow between them. As with the first book I loved the authors writing, the story was well paced and had a lovely flow to it. All of the characters are likeable and connectable. I can definitely say that I am looking forward to reading about the third Prentice brother!

North to Nara (Crimson Sash #1) by Amanda Marin was a really good book. I think it demonstrates how many of us start out. We think we live in a wonderful world, everything looks perfect, everything seems perfect. Little by little we see the worms in the apple. Neve begins to see the worms in the apple when Micah catches her eye and suddenly nothing is as it seems. This is a great introduction to wonderful series.

This book is more than your average romance book, although it is most definitely filled with love. The words from the book stayed with me long after I’d finished reading. The book starts with Vivianna, who is looking to cross the border between Mexico and the USA with her husband, with the dream of starting a new life. When her husband is killed,Vivianna barely has time to grieve before she finds herself thrown into a new turmoil. Sarah is looking for freedom of a different kind, when she is given a new opportunity she jumps at the chance, and more adventure awaits her as she falls in love. These women have different goals and opportunities, but the ‘walls’ they both face change their lives forever. I really enjoyed this story. It was a love story of a different kind filled with pain, fear and, ultimately, hope. The story moves at a fast pace, I bet if I read it again I will find new details I may have missed. This is my first read by this author, but I will definitely look out for more stories in the future.

I loved this book. It is a captivating romance that has you gripped from the first page. The characters are so well written that you feel a part of their friendship groups as if your living this experience with them.
Aiden is a music agent. He has never found a woman worth spending time with or that he feels a connection too until he meets Aria.
Aria is the lead singer in the band he manages who are going on tour with his main group. Aria is skeptical with it comes to love but the connection is so strong between her and Aiden she cant resist it.
Together they embark on a romance that is loving and passionate. The writing builds the story which at points become steamy as their attraction grows. The way the characters interact with each other and the way they communicate with each other keeps this story funny and lighthearted as well as having the romance and passion.

This was an incredible read, an absolute page-turner, and thrilling the whole way through. I loved Karina’s background as a Washington DC lawyer turned policy wonk, as well as the way Karina tries to work out what’s happening even as she makes plenty of mistakes. The mystery of the plot kept me going the whole way through, even with the elements of romance and crime. I love art heist fiction generally, but this one really grabbed my attention. I’ll definitely be reading anything else by this author!

A Duke Never Forgets is the third book in The Duke Hunters Club by Bianca Blythe. It is a historical romance, with a bit of an enemies-to-lovers element, funny banter + quips, humour, emotion, drama, secrets+ lies, and is a ‘clean’ romance.
Sebastian, the Duke of Sandridge, and Genevieve have had some unfortunate history between them which has left Sebastian, especially, holding quite a grudge. So imagine how irate he becomes when he learns that his nemesis (Genevieve) and her family are the tenants in his holiday cottage in Cornwall. He wants them gone- ASAP. Genevieve and her family have been through a lot and being evicted from their home isn’t something she’s going to stand by and watch happen. But even so, when the Duke has an unfortunate event, it’s Genevieve who comes to his aid. Sebastian wakes with some amnesia- and things take an interesting turn when her mother announce that Sebastian and Genevieve are married. So, what happens if and when the Duke gets his memories back? This reminded me a lot of a historical version of the movie “Overboard”- but with its own unique identity. The story was a little predictable, and the ending did seem to be a little rushed- but the story was enjoyable non-the-less. Looking forward to more from Ms. Blythe.

The Abduction of Sarah Tarbell: As Her Soul Remembers by Stuart Ledwith. This is the best book. I loved the story and I loved Sarah Tarbell. She is a 14 year old young girl who is growing up in a Puritan household in Massachusetts in the 1700s. She and her 2 brothers are kidnapped by Mohawk Indians where her brothers are adopted and raised with the families but Sarah is sold to a French family. Sarah later became a healer for the Mohawkan Tribe and many others including trappers, fishermen and soldiers. She fell in love with her captor and until the day he died she loved him even though he sold her to the French. Once he died she professed her faith and became a nun. Her story is told thru her eyes, the ups and downs of being abducted, of falling in love, of losing her family and of her faith. Its a deeply moving story that taught me things I never knew. I highly recommend reading the book!

The Walls Between Us: A Borderland Love Story by Kate McGahan. This is a great read about romance in two different worlds and the things they have to do to survive. Its the story of Sarah who is an up and coming attorney from New York and Benito who is a photojournalist fleeing the Mexican Drug cartel. Sarah moves to the American side of Mexico to open a branch of her law firm. She meets Benito and they fall in love but the cultural differences may rip them apart. Sarah falls in love with Benito and Mexico at the same time but see some very dark things and she wants to help. Drug and human trafficking are very real on the other side of the wall that Benito and Sarah live on. Benito is trying to flee from the drug aspect and Sarah wants to help with the human trafficking. The way Mrs. McGahan describes the scenery of Mexico and Arizona makes you fall in love with it and feel like you are actually there. She also describes the horror and fear people trying to make it across the wall face in a way that you actually want to cry. This book will grab your heartstrings and you will not want to put it down. Read The Walls Between Us to find out if Benito and Sarah can break the emotional, physical and spiritual walls down to have a life together.

4 stars! Good story, characters and read. This book can be read as a standalone, although after reading it, I want to go back and read the first book. In this story, Becky is living her dream life, riding horses and singing, and along for the ride is her best friend Emily. The introduction of the love interest Chance is sweet, anyone could tell that he likes Becky, but who is he really? The romance and obstacles the main character faces are all nicely written into the story, along with a nice twist, makes this story a short and fun read.

When two husbands die and are classed as suicides but the widows aren’t convinced, so will the budding detectives solve the mystery.
The story takes place four months after the last book and the two detectives take on the cases of two wealthy men who have been found dead, one wife has been charged with one of the murders and is currently in jail but the other wife is adamant that her husband was murdered so Madeline and Mike start investigating.
As the story weaves through the book you get drawn into the mystery as you delve into the world of these two investigators. There are some shocking twists and the way the story has layers within the book you are guessing as you turn the pages to book to solve the mysteries.
I love this series and I would recommend reading the the other books first, although this story is a stand alone story there are other elements to the history of the main characters which weave through the first three books. I love the well developed main characters and the thriller aspect of the stories makes for a great read. I can’t wait to read the next installment and see how these two characters develop in the future.

The first chapter of this book started so silly, then as it goes, it gets a little emotional. I love that in a book, the best first chapter I have had the pleasure to read in a while.
I really like the way this book was put together and how the past and the present is intermingled. Following Kent and Amanda with the struggles they have growing up and following their dreams, making the hard choices as they become adults has been so intriguing to me, I hated to put the book down.
Knowing when to follow your dreams and lift up those around you to help them pursue their own is a tough line to walk, and this book showcased that perfectly.
This is book 1 and I can’t wait to see what comes of any that follow.

I love love love this book! Well all except that ending! I need to know what happens! The author did an amazing job with this story and these characters. The story moves along nicely. There is quite a bit of fluff the cements the relationship and feelings of these two characters. Speaking of characters..have you met Aria and Aiden? They are simply lovely to get to know and watch their relationship blossom. I can really feel the connection between Aria and Aiden. They just sizzle right off the pages. The way her calls her “Goddess” gives me heart palpitations. I also enjoy the connection the band members have with members. The jokes and playing around really helped this become more personable.
This is my first book by this author. It will not be my last! Because you know…I want to know what happens. I am not a fan of a cliffhanger books. But I do make an exception every once in a while. I hope for more in this series ( because these characters are solid on their own) but no more cliffhangers.

If you like music and love a good romance, pick this up immediately. The MCs has fantastic chemistry and I loved their interactions from their beginning. As a music lover, the plot sparked my interest immediately and I was all in from the first page. The tempo was fantastic and it crescendoed beautifully. This is a romance book with enough angst to keep you reading but enough romance to make it real. Amanda moves to California to follow her dream, leaving behind Kent. Kent is the man who she has loved forever, but her dreams are calling her elsewhere. When the show she is working on brings her back into Kent’s life, they need to determine if they can make it work if it is better to say goodbye forever. I found myself invested in these characters from early on. Amanda is relatable and I was pulling for her. Kent has some abandonment issues from when he was younger, and my heart felt for him as well. There were times when I wished that I had a little more backstory…but it doesn’t take away from the story being told. There is some push and pull along the way to keep it angsty and wondering if they will be able to work through their issues or not. I enjoyed this book and this is an author I would definitely read again.

This book had me hooked from the start and I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. I have loved this series since the first book and every book just got that much better. It is my suggestion that you read these books in order for the best experience and you will get to know Neve and Micah that much better. Neve and Micah are two very strong people and they have been through so much to be together and in this book they want to fight back. What will happen when they do? There were unexpected twists and turns in this story. The author did an exceptional job making me feel like I was right there in the story. I found this book to be entertaining, heartbreaking, emotional, and hopeful. I highly recommend this book you won’t want to miss out on this wonderful book and series.

Flicker to FIre by Amanda Marin is the third and final book in the Crimson Sash series. I highly recommend reading the books in order because the story lines flow from the beginning to the end of the series. This book is a great conclusion to this series. Neve and Micah are operatives for Sans Murs and are trying to create a better world. The problem gets explosive with the conflicts gaining steam. Will they be able to extinguish the fire before it’s too late? I have enjoyed the development of Neve and Micah through the series and how they have grown in people with strong beliefs and loyalties. The setting is dystopian with a twist of fantasy but is not so unrealistic to be relatable. I have enjoyed this series and was happy with how the series was ended. I look forward to reading more from Amanda Marin in the future.

This story is a well written dystopian fantasy book. Amanda Marin did a fantastic job with the details. The elements of the story are action, adventure, drama, violence, and friendship. This YA kept my interest from the first page until the last page. This book is my favorite of the series. Neve and Micah are back and are full of hope. I felt the love between them throughout the story. I was at the edge of my seat, wondering what will be happening and prepare for it. I felt like I was right there with Neve and Micah. Will Neve and Micah accomplish what they set out to do? I highly recommend the entire series. This one can be a stand-alone but I think that you will enjoy all the stories

I loved reading the book Secure Desire (Chase Security Series Book 1) by R.L. Dunn. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a thriller that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Chase and Cassie. Cassie is an intelligent, strong, and independent woman. She is an FBI agent and does her job well. She is haunted by a past in which she feels she will never be free. Chase is handsome, charming, and the owner of a private security company. He is very attracted to Cassie. He also finds out that she has enemies that will do anything to get rid of Cassie. Will Chase be able to keep Cassie out of danger? Will he be able to convince her of the deep connection he feels for her? Read this book to find out. This is an amazing story that once starts only has one speed, full-ahead. It takes you on an unforgettable journey. It also has many additional characters that are helpful to Cassie and Chase. They would do anything to assist them. Then some have their evil agenda and will do anything to see that Cassie doesn’t survive. I enjoyed reading the book On With the Butter! Spread More Living onto Everyday Life by Heidi Herman. It is a wonderful book that helps you to look at life in different ways. In it are personal experiences of both the author and family that are inspirational and a joy to read about. The book challenged me and my way of thinking about life and how l live it. I enjoyed the quotes that the author put at the beginning of the chapters as well as the lists of ways to implement changes that each chapter talked about. I normally don’t read a lot of self-help books however the way that that the book is written had me feeling like I was talking to a friend who wants to share the joys of how the information has assisted her and how it can help me. Well Done Nicole Flockton! I so enjoyed reading Tyler and Gianna’s Story. This is a fast paced story, I could not put it down. There were many feelings in the story, laughing, crying and at one point I wanted to step in and fight for this couple. The characters are strong, independent, and full of life. Nicole Flockton wrote a story, I will remember for a long time. I also hope the next one comes soon. Well Done!

This is the first in the Venture Series and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Mrs. Scott has a new fan and I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her work.

When the time comes the person he loves comes back into his life. The quote I choose for Kent is: “The drive up here gave me time to think about us. Seeing you again confirmed one thing—all the miles and months apart haven’t altered how I feel about you. Amanda, absolutely nothing will change how much I love you.”
Amanda, the girl who’s been in love with Kent, is finally getting her dream. Kent Thomas. When things don’t work out she leaves. When she comes back she isn’t sure what she’ll find. The quote I choose for Amanda is: “Not necessarily. Not if what Kent really needs is closure . After the way I left, I think he deserves something better than goodbye.”
I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a good romance. You might need tissues and you may throw book/device fair warning.

Flicker to Fire, is book three in Amanda Marin’s ‘Crimson Sash’ series. It continues the story of Neve Hall and Micah Ward which began in the first book, ‘North to Nara’ and continued in ‘Sky to Sea’.This is a Young Adult dystopian fantasy series set in a dystopian world with two waring factions the ‘New Republic’ and the ‘Nation’. The couple find themselves in Kébec Village, the refugee centre, and as Sans Murs operatives they begin documenting all of the the Nation’s human rights violation cases as the escapees who arrive at the centre tell them of their stories. However the border wall separating the two factions is crumbling and with it the safety it provides. Meanwhile Isla Pryce’s mission to purge the Nation of Sufferers is just getting started and as Micah has been unfaithful to his vows he is at risk from the vicious Inquisition Board. When mysterious Blythe Thatcher enters the village having been on the run from Pryce, Neve believes she can help Sans Murs further its cause, and help rid the Nation of its awful Suffering system. Once the Nation uncovers their plan, however, the warring factions struggle which started as a flicker quickly turns to fire. Neve and Micah are the only ones who can extinguish the flame but it will be dangerous. No spoilers, I recommend you read the book and the two previous novels in this series. This is a well written book with a solid storyline, great characters and it moves along at a fast pace. I was gripped from page one and found myself totally immersed in the dystopian world Marin has created, thanks to her amazing world building. Neve and Micah are a great couple who ultimately just want to be together and live in a safe place peacefully. I found the couple likeable, realistic and with a ‘normal’ relationship amidst this dystopian world. I was cheering them on throughout the book and I really cared about their outcome. Blythe was a fascinating new character. Marin has a way of writing and describing the characters that makes you as the reader really get to know them and care for them.

Flicker to Fire by Amanda Marin is the third book in the Crimson Sash series. This series does need to be read in order as each story follows on from the other. This book is a brilliant conclusion to the series and easily my favourite book of the 3. It was so easy to fall right back into these characters and their journey. From the minute I picked up the book I was excited to see how it would end. The author has created a fantastic world with such lasting characters in them. The story was exciting and had a bit everything you could want in it. I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and would definitely recommend it.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES) Book 2 by Joanne Patterson 4 out of 5 stars Western Romances are very much a hit or miss for me. I feel that the genre has died and that they can often be replaced with the much more exciting world of YA, or Sci-Fi, however, I can eat my words when it comes to the writings of Patterson. Patterson brings the world of Western Romance back to life. The characters of both Becky and Emily warm the heart in such a way that even the darkest soul can feel the hearth burning. Becky is back in the world and adventuring on her own, with Emily there to support everything that she does and laughs along the way. This is a quick read, which I really appreciate, as I rarely have the luxury to sit and indulge in a long read anymore and the chapters were quick and efficient with details and information. Lovers of young adult, women empowerment and coming of age will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

Love Song (A Friends-to-Lovers Rock and Roll Romantic Suspense) by K.G Fletcher is another wonderfully woven and entirely captivating story. I say this repeatedly, but Ms. Fletcher never fails to deliver a story that captures my heart and mind, every single time. I love her warm, sexy, almost lyrical writing style- it makes reading her books such a pleasure. The way she wove quite an intense and suspenseful story in and around a sweet romance was really clever- and definitely gave this book an extra zing. As expected, the story is sexy and romantic, with intense moments, edge of your seat suspense, tension, sparks, emotion, and drama- and of course let’s not forget about the music. Well worth the read!

This is a love story with a twist. The characters are so well written that you can help for feel every emotion they go through.
Erica has moved to a small town after a bad breakup which has made her take a break from men. After having her heartbroken she is concentrating on herself and her business. That is until she meets Matt.
Dr Matt also moved to the small town for a slower paced life. After being single for a year he feels no rush to get into another relationship until meeting Erica hits him like a bolt from the blue. However being a single man in a small town makes him an attractive person for all the single women that live there and someone has their sights set on him.
Can Erica learn that love doesn’t need to cause her pain or will the secret admirer who has their eye on Matt mean both of them will end up hurt?
