This is a new author for me which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a historical young adult story that pulled me in from the beginning. Emma has graduated from business school and now she is focused on investigating some inquiries. What will happen when a new team member is a little shady? Things may not be as they seem in her life. This is where the story takes on a suspense that made me want to see what would happen next. Emma made such a great character. She made the story fun to read. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up, she never lets me down. I am pulled into the story from the beginning by the characters. The author’s use of details make her story feel realistic. Her characters are connectable and keep the story engaging. This book is no different. It is well written and the characters brought the story to life on each page. This is a story of an arranged marriage along with secrets and who doesn’t love a hot, steamy mafia man. This is a story about Max and Liliana. They are great, strong characters that have awesome chemistry. I also enjoyed the growth throughout the story with them. She is born into power but is just a pawn for her father. He wants what’s his and revenge against those who wronged him. You don’t want to miss what happens with them. This is a must read story that I highly recommend.

I love finding new authors! Hazard in Hawaii by Heather Silvo was excellent. It caught my attention quick, the characters felt relatable. It was fast paced, and had me quickly turning pages to find out what happened next. I especially related to the main character, Sarah. I found her to be funny and likable. Relating to main characters always makes it an easier and better read. Heather Silvo’s attention to detail throughout the story helped me feel like I was right there watching it happened. There’s no foul language so if you’re put off by that then this is the book for you. I think that you’ll enjoy it, like I did. I’m excited to read other books by Heather Silvo and will be waiting for the next book in the series.

No Way Out: An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley is the first book in the Mafia Elite series. This is a fantastic start to a new series and the kind of book you will have to read in one sitting. I have come to learn with this author that it doesn’t matter what she writes it is always amazing. So much so that I picked up this book without reading the description, no hesitations. I was completely swept away by this story from the second I started reading. I connected with the characters and with their journey. I was taken on their highs and lows and experienced everything with them. I didn’t want this book to end – even more so because it read it so quickly. This is an explosive start to a new series and I am already chomping at the bit for the second book.

Notebook Mysteries – Decisions and Possibilities by Kimberly Mullins is an interesting and unique YA story that definitely draws you in. This is the second book in the series and although it can be read as a stand-alone – I did – I think personally I would prefer to read it in order. Although I got to know the characters and understood what was happening I felt I had missed a bit of the character development. I loved the fact that the story is set in the 1800’s. It adds a whole new level to the story and so many obstacles that you don’t get in modern day fiction. For me it is that element that really made the book. This is a new author to me and I like the way she has gone about the whole story. The first thing I will be doing now is going back to read book one!
This was such a fun and engaging book to read! I had so much fun with this one, and I honestly am very much eager to get my magnifying glass out and await more in this series. I always was a die hard fan of Sherlock Holmes, and the story revolved around Chicago, where I actually grew up. I knew right away this was a book I had to get my hands on, and solve the mysteries that it would entail!
For starters, I am going to go read the previous book as I was not aware of its existence till I got to read this one! That said, this one was very easy to follow, and I found the backstory was pretty much filled in for me! Emma was such an amazing character. She was the lead mystery solver yes, but she had so much more than just skill, but a strong intuitive mind as well. I loved that about her. She was different than most girls in her town, not only did she always enforce her wants, but as well as that, she was very good at solving crime. I found through out the book mystery was a like a good baked bread for her, she was just drawn it it, as well as that, a good mystery knew how to lure out! The book was lovely in many ways!
The book gave me clues to solve along with our leader, Emma, and it left me wondering at times of how does this piece together? I will admit, I was outsmarted at times myself. but the book defiantly kept me interested and wanting to know how it would tie to next. I would say this is a book that can be enjoyed by all and for the young as well as the young at heat!
Again, a must read for sure. The setting and the words flowing made this book so whole some and fun to read! Not to mention, a fun love triangle, which you will have to read yourself to endure in completely. I assure you this is a treat you will not want to miss! If you ever loved Scooby-Doo or even Sherlock Holmes as I did, this is a series to put your nose into. There’s a lot of intriguing moments as well as fun times. I really loved it, and I can not wait to read more by this author. Its truly a fun and wonderful read!

Mr. Talisman has done it again. The Journeys Through Series is now one of my favorite series. I absolutely love how he works his characters in.
Once again there were so many characters I could choose to get quotes from. These amazing characters are hard to choose from.
The first character is Captain Critosson. Captain Critosson from the Elipsson galaxy. They are heading to the mountain to get an ancient artifact. The quote I chose for Captain Critosson is: “I promise, Your Majesty. I will not let you down.”
Jennifer is Matt’s mom. She is worried about her son. There was a close call when she thought she would’ve lost her son. When the Director calls them together she needs the reassurance. Hen has grown up into a handsome young man and helps out doing the domestic work in the rooms while his mum, Marcella and Bernie, her partner handle the finances and the odd jobs, meanwhile Tyler has just returned and is living in one of the cabins as he starts to work towards some sort of independence.
As they are all settling into a routine, Tyler is managing to hold down a job at a local store, but his mental health takes a dive when someone from his past turns up and sets back the progress he has made, meanwhile, Hen is taking on more responsibility as the busy summer season starts and preparing for the transition to adulthood in just one short year when he will have to make some serious decisions about his future, whether that involves college or continuing to work at the motel, as well as deciding what to do with his inheritance money once he comes of the age to take ownership of it, all while trying to support his mum and keep up some semblance of normality by spending time with his friends.
All this comes crashing down around the Trout’s when Marcella is attacked at the office and Tyler is the only witness to the altercation, however, the information is locked inside his mind and the turmoil in which it constantly spins, however, when he approaches the office after the attack happens and incriminating himself in the process, his family have to confront Tyler’s illness all over again. Will Tyler be able to make anyone understand the information he holds in his mind and how important it is, or will they believe that he is capable of hurting his family and keep him in detention? Can his family overcome their own personal views of Tyler and help him to reintegrate into society, or will they fail to see beyond his diagnosis? This is a heart rending tale of mental illness and how it can affect those around them, as well as being an emotional rollercoaster of emotions as you become invested in the lives and trials of a family many can relate to.

Written In The Stars is a fantastic novel by Angela Christina Archer. This was a new author to me but I was very intrigued by the blurb and just had to read it. I’m so glad that I did as I absolutely adored this book. I loved that the book was set in dual time periods. We got to see Betty’s story in the late 1940’s to 1950 and also Marlena’s story, set in 1980. This is the beautiful, poignant story of a teenage girl in 1950 who was made give up her baby and the story of that ‘baby’ all grown up, finding out she’s adopted and goes looking for her birth mother. This book had me totally gripped from beginning to end. I was totally lost in both Betty and Marlena’s stories. Both are such amazing characters that I could have read about for hours and hours and still loved them. This story is beautifully written and totally tugs at the heart strings. I challenge anyone to read this book and not be moved by Betty’s story. If this book is anything to go by then I’ll definitely be reading more of Angela Christina Archer’s work.

I really enjoy how this author crafts her stories and this one is no exception. I really appreciate the character development, the backstory, the plot movement, and the pure emotion. Just a gripping story that really grabbed my emotions and hit the heart. It belongs in everyone’s library.

I wasn’t very sure about this book as bikers have never been my forte but I was pleasantly surprised with the characters in this book. The main female character had a lot of trauma to deal with due to her accident but the male hero was surprisingly understanding and supportive, in his own way, about it. I think the way that the author wrote the female character was heartbreakingly realistic to what people likely go through in a situation like hers. The things she had to deal with throughout the story and her growth as a character were very well written. The male Hero had depth to him as well and the way he handled things was unconventional to say the least but still had a personal touch to it that made the character feel cohesive and real. The writing itself was easy to follow and the storyline didn’t drag and was full of action so it kept me entertained throughout.

An enjoyable and exciting YA novel featuring teen sleuth Emma who solves crimes and mysteries. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone story. Emma Evans is now eighteen and having graduated from business school is now determined to build on her previous investigating success and so sets up her own business. Set in Chicago in 1883, the setting comes alive due to the authors descriptive narrative. The independent and skilled Emma is the heroine of the story and is a wonderful main character who really brings the story together, and is a great role model for young adults. As well as having to solve several perplexing cases Emma also has to get used to working with her new team and has matters of the heart to deal with. It was nice to see Emma receiving professional recognition for her abilities in this novel especially as she is assaulted and threatened in the course of her enquiries. This was an engaging novel with an exciting storyline and plenty of plot action that kept me happily turning the pages. A great read which I recommend to YA and adults alike.

Another Yesterday weaves together the stories of Mother and Daughter-Maggie in 1966 and Rachel in 1996. Maggie flees from her home, and ends up in Shadow Brook, Maine. But what was she running from and can she really avoid a run in with the past? Rachel, determined not to live like her mother, is forced back to Shadow Brook when her husband is unfaithful and her mom dies unexpectedly. Reading her mom’s old journals shows Rachel a side of he she never knew, and secrets are revealed.
I have read both of the books in the Mothers and Daughters collection, and enjoyed them both. The parts of the book that take place in the past intrigue me–seeing a different time compared to modern day(late 90’s) life. Maggie and Rachel are both likeable women, who I was rooting for during the novel. As a mother myself, I understand Maggie’s desire to shield Rachel from her past, and to try to give them a new start at life. I am excited to see what Angela Christina Archer writes next!

Decisions and Possibilities is the second book in the Notebook Mysteries series by Kimberly Mullins. I have not read the first book in the series, and which I had before reading this one. Emma Evans is 18 years old, a recent graduate, and an entrepreneur. She is also struggling to figure out her love life-torn between 2 men.
Decisions and Possibilities was a good story. The characters were well developed and the story was interesting and kept my attention. However, I felt that the story jumped around way too much in time, and it was hard to keep things straight a lot of the time. I think reading the first book in the series would have made a huge difference in knowing the characters, their roles, and their history. I loved Emma’s character and am always rooting for a strong, independent woman lead who stands strong in her beliefs. Good story-read the series in order! 4/5 stars
As always Mr. Talisman has created a very intricate and intentional world for his characters! I immensely enjoyed the first book and the second one did not disappoint me in the least! I was able to enjoy and understand the character’s journey through the MultiVerse than in the previous novel. (Granted that was the first book and laying the foundation.) Sometimes the journey for the amazing trio seemed to slow down the story for me personally, but I feel that it was intentional on the author’s part to help you get inside of the character’s mind/motivation/ appreciation. It did pick up for me when an amazing gifted trio went through their missions through the MultiVerse and Rashella -my favorite character- appeared! Though my eyes are definitely on Thomas….I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!! Thank you Mr. Talisman for the Journeys through TimeSpace.

Exactly like the first book in this series I would definitely give this book more than 5 stars if I could! Tasha and Levi’s story continues in this book as well as the war they are fighting. Some new developments happen and it keeps you guessing on what in the world will happen next! It is fantastic to the very end! Now don’t mind me as I burn through the rest of CR Robertson’s novels. The worldbuilding in these books was fantastic and that tells me all of their books are going to be up my alley. Happy Reading!

Honestly I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could! I loved every page in this book! While reading I kept wondering how in the world things were going to end up with Tasha and Levi and it was a roller coaster up until the fantastic ending. The ending leaves a great opening for the next book in the series which was even better if possible. This is definitely going down as one of my favorite paranormal series! The Vampire and Lycan lore is absolutely exquisite in these books!

Wow. An amazing book. I could not put this book down. A Divided Mind is a book about Branson, a teenage twin, who has some mental health issues that he and his family are trying to decipher. His mother shows her unconditional love, but she and Branson have a hard time communicating during this period in his life. His twin brother Aaron can tell there is something wrong, but isn’t sure how to help. Branson is having a hard time finding who to talk to about the voices in his head because he doesn’t want people to think he’s crazy. Once he finally finds a friend, Trevor, his family isn’t sure he is the best influence on him. This book shows how important mental health is and how necessary family support is even when you feel like what you’re doing isn’t enough. If you enjoy haunting and exciting books that keep you on the edge of your seat, this is a great book for you.

Decisions and Possibilities is the second book in the Notebook Mysteries series. While I could pick up on what was going on fairly quickly, reading book one probably gives you a better foundation on the characters. YA is not my usual read, but the cover of this made it look interesting so I thought I would give it a shot. The overall story was good. However, the writing style with the narrator interruptions was very distracting and kept throwing me out of the reading flow. It would have been much more enjoyable without that.
TAINTED by Marsha R. West. I loved this book! Its the story of socialite Elizabeth whose husband is arrested for money laundering thru their family restaurants. The FBI is convinced Elizabeth knows all about it so she divorces her husband and moves her and her daughter to Red River, New Mexico. Her family has a cabin there and she plans to spend the summer there until she can figure out what to do. Hoping to find some peace and quiet she is surprised when trouble once again finds her. Looking to the local sheriff for help she realizes its her old flame Matt. Matt is determined to keep Elizabeth and her daughter safe and will do whatever it takes. As Matt and Elizabeth spend more and more time together old feelings come back and sparks begin to fly. This is such a good drama with suspense and even a little romance!

Tainted is the first book I have read by Marsha West, and I would read more in the future. While I am not 100% sold on the writing style (too much dialogue and the mother/daughter relationship was too lovey dovey), I really enjoyed the book. The story is unique, and the characters are well written. It is a romantic suspense centered around starting over when your world comes crashing down around you. Liz Hartman is left picking up the pieces and trying to restart her life as a middle age woman, after her husband (now ex) is arrested and sent to federal prison for money laundering. Even from prison, he seems to find a way to torment and harass her. She is constantly getting questioning stares, as everyone assumes she had to have been involved in the scheme. She wants nothing more than a clean slate, but struggles with the idea of walking away from her home to start over. Lucky for her, she has two homes. She has visited a little town in New Mexico annually, her whole life. Maybe this is the perfect place to build a new home. To help things along, the Marshall in town is her high school sweet heart. Can they rekindle their romance 20+ years later?

Caine by Anise Storm is the 2nd book in the Men of Syn series. In this installment, we follow the story of Caine, who has run to Denver to escape false accusations of the murder of his father. Here is turns to his friend Hawke, who helps Caine by offering employment in Syn, the BDSM club. This is where Caine meets Emery Wilder, a socialite living off her fathers wealth who’s never worked a day in her life. Emery is taken by surprise when she is removed from her penthouse home due to her father’s criminal accusations that freeze his assets. Emery is left with only some clothing and her car, which breaks down late at night in the middle of no where. Caine comes in as her savior this night and they grow a relationship that is steamy and unique. I enjoyed this book better then the first one mainly because of the characters. Emery at first is a spoiled girl but she grows into the situation that she found herself in. She wasn’t down on herself the entire story and I appreciate a character with growth. Caine is a protector and his love for Emery shines through. Great series by Anise Storm.

This was a very short, but interesting, story. While it’s not my typical genre of books, I thought the cover was gorgeous yet also had a dark tone to it. And this was very true for the story as well. I thought that it was an action-packed book about a small town that had a lot of strange occurrences going on. I found in some places that the hairs on my arms were standing up because it was so strange and chilling. But I liked it. I did however feel that there was something missing at the end, so I am hoping that there is another book in the series that will pick up where this one dropped off. It would also be nice to get to know more about some of the characters in the town and dig a little deeper into the main character as well.

Another fantastic read by Robertson. Levi and Tasha’s story continues with Forbidden Mate. Things get interesting and you really have to read it to see what I mean.
Tasha is still mated to Levi. She’s still being hunted by the Hellspawn Master. And her Coven leader wants her as well. Will she be able to escape the troubles that haunt her? The quote I chose for Tasha is: “What if it isn’t anything to do with the vampire brother but who he mated with? The vampire side gives immortality, but if Mum is right, and there is witch blood combined with it, then they could want access to that.”
Levi still has the desire to protect Tasha at all costs. He will put his own life in danger before risking her life. When she is taken he about loses himself to his wolf. Tasha being the only one able to bring him back. The quote I chose for Levi is: “I needed to become an alpha fast in the military and the only way to do that during my initial conscription term was to fight. So, I embraced my wolf and we took command of a base.”
Tasha the Vampire and Levi the Lycan return as they continue to fight for their survival, the Hellspawn are back after a few months of precious respite and now are back to attacking them on a nightly basis, but they are evolving and the way that they attack them is changing too, meanwhile, the two forbidden lovers and mates continue in their fated romance as they swap between being fearless leaders in front of their fellow warriors to being able to show each other their true feelings behind closed doors.
Meanwhile, they are trying to study history of the two races, as well as their genetics and see what they will reveal about their origins and therefore the Hellspawn, but whenever they think that they have found something it just reveals more questions than answers. They are all just trying to use their skills to keep their heads above water and out of the mess created by their enemies, but with each step forwards, they are starting to feel like they are going two steps backward and the tentative and slightly unstable alliance takes just as much work to maintain as hiding the some critical truths from those around them.
Cant the two fated mates find out what is hiding behind the wall of secrets and think of a way to keep the Hellspawn and others who want to destroy what they have at arms length, or will things come between them and rip them apart for good? This paranormal romance is filled with tension and excitement from the get go and keeps you reading as the story unravels before you, it is a rollercoaster of ups and downs which keep you off balance and always guessing what is around the next bend.

I loved that this second book picked up right where the first one ended. I recommend you read the first book to understand the characters. The author does a great job of building these characters throughout both books. If you are looking for a good sci-fi book, this book has a few different utopian worlds to follow. However, I enjoyed this second book even more than the first, and I gave the first one five stars, so I really wanted to give this one 5+ stars!

These ladies are some of my favorite authors for a reason!! They write a phenomenal story with AMAZING characters that always leaves me wanting more!
The Lochlann Feuds continue with the story of the daughter of Queen Charlotte and King Logan, Princess Rowan. Oh boy does she land herself in quite a situation! She ends up in enemy territory only to discover that her offenses are life threatening. As she finds love, maneuvers tricky friendships, and tries to endear herself to her enemies, she is not prepared for what happens. In all honesty… neither was I!
This book ends on a completely unexpected cliffhanger that I have only read one other time. There is a secret part of me that hopes I am right about it, too! But I am not going to spoil it. I cannot wait for the next book!
This is a must read book! Fun, witty, clean fantasy romance!

So I love office romances so I was very excited going into this, add in fake romance/dating then I’m like yes give it me. This was a really easy enjoyable read. There were a few moments that I chuckled to myself in this book. I’m struggling to read lately so the fact I read this shows a lot. Really enjoyed this book I’m going to have to read more from this author because I thoroughly enjoyed her writing too!

This is the second book in the series. These can be read on their own however I think if I had read the first one it would have made the character and their back story easier to understand. This didn’t take anything away from the book and I still really enjoyed it. Our heroine Emma is now 18 years old and has grown into a strong independent woman. She is very determined and will stop at nothing to solve her case. Even when her safety is in danger Emma still pushes on until her case is closed.
Now Emma is older she also has to deal with matters of the heart and romance which all adds up to make the story interesting and makes the read wanting to read more. I am looking forward to reading more about Emma and her family and friends and also the next adventure and Mysteries she will solve.
