Yikes! This is one story I could only read during the day! Everything is described so well that I struggled sleeping if read before bed. Creepy and scary! I really liked the pace and the suspense surrounding the main characters. I kinda suspected who “did it” so I wasn’t totally surprised. But it still rounded out nicely. The last chapter is one of my fav. as we see a change in a few people for the better.
Overall a good story that kept me engaged. This is book five in the series but can be read as a stand alone.

This is the 5th book in the Philly Heat Series. Even though this book can be read as a standalone I think you will enjoy it that much that you would want to read them all. These books as one of my favourite. They are full of danger, suspense, twist and turns, romance and everything in between. We are with Sadie and Noah. This couple has just rekindled their flame after years apart. Things seem to be going well until the killer that Noah is hunting decides to send Noah a very personal message. I don’t want to give too much away as it would spoil the story but this is action packed from the first page . I was not able to put it down until I had finished it. The authors writing is so captivating and gripping. I love Noah’s character. He has such a hard job which I don’t envy him for and with his own personal demons he is constantly fighting. Sadie is a character that I found tricky to get along with. I can understand why she felt the way she did at times however I think sometimes the way she treated Noah was a little uncalled for, but just like Noah she is also struggling with demons of her own. The way the story is told in different POVs really gives the reader a better insight into the characters, their life’s and their struggles. Will Noah be able to solve this case and stop Romeo before he strikes again? Will Sadie still be in danger until he is caught? Will Sadie always blame Noah for what happened to her? So many questions and which can only be answered by reading this book

I’ve enjoyed the previous books in this enjoyable and engaging series and once again I was hooked throughout this latest story. In this fast paced storyline, FBI Special Agent Noah Danes’ is investigating ‘The Beltway Romeo’. Whilst in Philadelphia Noah meets up with an old friend, Sadie Potter who’s a forensic facial reconstructionist. The pair last saw each other four years ago at the sentencing of her mothers murderer. Noah and Sadie are surprised by their newfound feelings for each other, but as their relationship develops Sadie is attacked by ‘The Beltway Romeo’. For Noah this is now personal and he’s determined to catch the culprit and protect Sadie. However, Noah himself becomes the focus of his fellow profilers and fears his secrets are about to be discovered. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of her attack Sadie is scarred, depressed and afraid and lashes out at those closest to her, including Noah. Sadie is still in danger especially when ‘Romeo’ makes it clear that he’s not forgotten her, the victim that got away. This romantic suspense was a real page turner and it kept me happily turning the pages. The descriptive narrative brings the characters and the setting vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the storyline. Whilst the plot twists kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story, and I found the chemistry between Noah and Sadie came across in the narrative. I look forward to future books in this series!

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. This is book five in the series which can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading the previous books as well as they are just as great. I enjoy this author’s writing style that makes her books hard to put down. This is a well written story about Noah and Sadie. What happens when these two run into each other? When Sadie is attacked, can he protect her? Will they then find love within each other? They are great characters that have chemistry and attraction. Their growth throughout the story made their story easy to read. They are strong, supportive, relatable characters that bring life to the story. Their story is one of romance with some suspense. A fast paced story that is hard to put down and engaging to the end. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

This was a great 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. The author does a great job with her writing. Noah and Sadie have a history that gets rekindled in this story. I do have to say that Sadie did push my buttons a little here and there but for the most part I liked her. Noah’s story got me in the feels. The story gets even more suspenseful and scary when a serial killer that Noah is hunting comes around. We get several twists and turns and edge of your seat moments. Fade into the Night is another fantastic book in the intriguing Philly Heat series. Becky is a master at cleverly weaving stories that are engaging, mysterious, full of thrills, and are as compelling as they are engrossing. Twists and turns abound that you don’t see coming. Make sure you read these books in order because they are full of everything you could want in a romance with danger, action and thrills. There are so many secrets, lies, threats, and evil just waiting to jump out at you. The fear and suspense is so palpable that I had to turn on all the lights. Add in romance and drama and the story ended all too soon as I was so lost in the story. Sleep was not on the agenda until I finished this book. I love that Becky’s stories are told through multiple POV’s as you really get inside the characters heads and know what they are thinking and learn who they are better. These wonderful characters are well written, complex and fully realised. I was invested in them and yelled at the book and jumping up and down trying to help them. Yeah, hubby thought I was crazy, well crazier than normal! Noah is after a killer but this one has gone a step too far and hurt someone close to him. He is determined that nothing more will happen to her but with a killer on the lose can he stop them before he loses it all. But on top of that his secrets are about to be revealed unless he can stop them. Sadie is not the same woman she was not long ago. With evil out there lurking in the shadows her life will never be the same again. The pain, the trauma, the fear that goes along with that has broken her. What can you do when evil is hiding in plain sight and you are the one that got away? I recommend you read Fade into the Night, I know you will love it.

This book is a brilliant romantic suspense story and I loved the characters at the heart of it. Noah and Sadie has such as real and believable connection right from the start. I really enjoyed watching their relationship blossom, even with everything they had to face. The story was intriguing. It was fast paced and exciting to read. I always enjoy how this author approaches a story and each of them are great stories. This book was so easy to read because I was caught up in the story and wanted to see how things would turn out. This is a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m not going to say a lot about this book because I don’t want to give anything away. I absolutely love the character of Noah and really felt for him, especially when he opened up about his family. I wasn’t such a huge fan of Sadie though. I wanted to like her but found her almost annoying at times. I get that she was going through some immense things but really didn’t appreciate the way she acted towards Noah. That being said, I can also see why she acted towards him the way that she did.
This book is full of twists and turns! I love a book that has you guessing. I did figure out fairly early who I though the Beltway Romeo might be and I was correct. That doesn’t happen often but I guess I picked up on a few things that I don’t normally. I was on the edge of my seat for the last half of this book and couldn’t put it down until I finished it!

This is going right onto my list for best romantic suspense of the year. Noah and Sadie were in the heat of the action right from the start. They have history and when they rekindled that history along came Romeo, the serial killer, that Noah has been hunting. I can’t tell you more due to spoilers but there are twits and turns that will keep you on your toes. This author rights such wonderful stories. I can’t put down any of her stories until I finish them. I must know what happens right then. Noah and Sadie have some big baggage attached to them that they will deal with during the story and this is one relationship that kind of reminds you of the movie SPEED. Can it survive the drama and adrenaline? Well-written characters and a well-done story make for a great book. This is one book worth picking up and reading. You can also give the others in the series a shot too. It can be read as a standalone.

Assistant Medical Examiner Trudy Beasley loves her job, although the tragedies and heartbreak come through her doors everyday, Trudy enjoys giving answers to the victims families and hopefully be able to bring peace in some form. Until one day an explosion rips through the city and uncovers bones that may be beyond her expertise and requires help to answer the questions.
Ben Roberts is an expert in the world of Anthropology and when he receives a request to help with the Medical Examiners office this peaks his interest especially when the examiner is Trudy. Ben and Trudy start to work on finding the identity and the reasons behind the death but as they investigate more and more it becomes more intense, but when they uncover secrets and things people want to keep quiet but as they become more involved in the case there chemistry increases and in the end can they solve the mystery?
I loved all the books in this series so far and this one is just as good, although this is the third book you can feel comfortable reading as a stand alone story, although previous characters are referenced it does not take away from the story or the relationships.
The drama building in this story was well written and the book flowed with the thrilling twists and turns. I have loved Trudy as a character in the other books but you really get to see her tick in this story and Ben adds the chemistry of passion and love for her in the best possible way. I also love the way Trudy truly cares about the dead, always wanting to help with the narrative and story of how they ended up where they did which means at times she wears her heart on her sleeve.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and hopefully more to comes.

This book was so hard to put down!!! The suspense kept me wanting to read more and before I realized it, it was 4am. You would think you would know how it would end, but then the author throws you a curve ball and it is changed! The romance is amazing and helps add some spark to the story and helps give it some flare too.
I love the story line and how it starts out slow and then starts to climax slowly before ending with a big dramatic ending! You always think it will be one person, then it will be someone totally different. Becky Flade definitely has some talent with her writing and is very creative. This book would be great for even teenager girls to read as it is age appropriate.
This is the fourth book in the Philly Heat series, focussing on Hannah and Doyle. I really do enjoy how different each story is in the series, it keeps the series engaging and fresh. I liked how this one was written. I enjoyed the others too, but it was the way the stalker was written and revealed which makes this one stand out to me. The twist was very well written. Both Hannah and Doyle have faced their share of trauma and Hannah’s stalker situation is still ongoing, worsening even. This shapes their views, actions and development well as the story progresses. As characters they were both likable and relatable, and I couldn’t help but root for a happily ever after for the pair. Given everything that happens both prior to and during the story just go to show how strong these characters are and determined to reach the other end of this awful situation. My heart really went out to Hannah given everything she’d been through already with her brother’s murder, to experience a stalker who only worsens must be so distressing and difficult. I really admired her strength. Unfortunately, I’ll all caught up with the series now even though I desperately want more. I can’t wait for another to be released so I can get my hands on it. In the meantime, I will be looking out for more from the author.

This book grabbed my attention and held it until the last page. The fourth book in this series and all of the books can be read as stand alones or in order. Hannah and Doyle do not necessarily like eachother mainly because of her occupation and him being a cop. When Doyle becomes her bodyguard to protect her from her crazy stalker, they have the opportunity to get to know eachother better, building a bond, and it drove her crazy stalker absolutely mad. This was a great book full of so many ups and downs, I loved it.

This is the third book in the Philly Heat series, focusing on Ben and Trudy. I enjoyed the move from focusing on police officers to medical examiners/anthropologists, it was a refreshing addition to the series as the investigation elements are still there. Trudy and Ben are great characters, my favourite of the two being Trudy. She’s strong and determined to get to the bottom of the mystery behind the bones which have been uncovered. She’s willing to take the risk to ensure the truth is uncovered and I admire that about her. I do like Ben; he grew on me as the story progressed and I got to know him better. I could start to see why he was acting in the way he was and admired his want to protect Trudy. This was another engaging read in the series and I can’t believe I’m almost caught up already. I can’t wait for more!

This is the second book in the Philly Heat series, this time following detective Alexandra and Detective Xavier’s story. This is a darker book than the first so if darker themes e.g., suicide, child murder, abuse etc is not something you are comfortable reading about, I would advise you not to read this book. The plot was interesting, I found that I was unable to put the book down as I became immersed. The way things unfolded, I couldn’t get enough, I thought this one was even better than the first. Both Alex and Xavier each have their own traumas in their pasts and it creates well-rounded, complex characters. Their development is clear as the narrative unfolds, as does their relationship. The characters are believable in their priorities and how they respond to events (and each other) to bring the killer to justice. This was a great addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Moving straight onto the next book!

This is the first book in the Philly Heat series. In this book we follow the story of police officer Kaylee and criminal Jayson. I enjoyed the plot of this book, it had me engaged and invested. The twists were great and fit so well into the story. I enjoyed the characters of Kaylee and Jayson in particular; both are strong and determined characters and their chemistry leaps off the page. They were well developed with their shared past and the complex emotions that arise from that and the way they attempt to navigate these feelings and obstacles felt believable. There were moments were I just wanted to knock some sense into them, but the way I came to care for them both goes to show the author’s skill at created great characters that you can’t help but become emotionally invested in. This was an enjoyable start to the series and I can’t wait to read the rest!

A story that keeps me on my toes will always be a hit in my opinion. This one is just as amazing as the rest of the series. I’ve come to expect to be completely sucked into the world that Becky Flade gives readers, and that’s exactly what I got this time. Trudy and Benjamin so easily bring you into their world and it’s not long before you are one the edge of your seat just reading as fast as possible to see what happens next. This author knows romantic suspense and I truly can’t wait for more. I love the suspense and edge of the seat feeling. It’s well written with everything you need in a romantic suspense story with characters that are easy to connect with. Four stars and highly recommended.

I love a book with a main character that instantly hooks me and that’s exactly what this author gave me. Kylee had me completely forgetting the real world right from page one. I love a good romantic suspense story and this one brought all the A plus game out there. Jayson and Kylee had chemistry coming off the pages in waves and they definitely stole a piece of my heart. Well written and definitely worth the read. I’m really excited to read more from this author. Four big stars and highly recommended!

Listen I’m a sucker for a stalker story. I love books about women living though something dangerous. This author has had my attention for a while with this series and it’s just gotten better as it’s gone. Hannah and Doyle may just be my favorite characters but don’t get me wrong every ones story is amazing. They just seemed to connect with me more. This book had me guessing and second guessing, i for one love a book that isn’t spelled out from the beginning. Edge of your seat storyline with characters that draw you in and make you live inside their world. Five stars and highly highly recommend.

The suspense happens close to the beginning and doesn’t let up. Hannah and Doyle meet under less than perfect circumstances and it causes them to be thrown together quite a bit while he protects her.
My heart hurt for Hannah, she loses her brother than the stalker steps things up and it completely upends her world. The fear and terror she must have felt while it was happening isn’t something I would ever want to feel.
Doyle is a good guy who deals with bad guys pretty regularly, he latest case drained happiness and life from him.
There was one scene early on that had me double checking things were shut and locked. Felt like I was part of it and could understand her fears.
I have been keeping up with this series and there is always a little something that surprises me which I love.

Beautiful dangerous is book four in the Philly Heat series. There is plenty of tense and intriguing romantic suspense with danger, mystery, drama, tons of emotion, and action. The suspense keeps you turning the pages and I got engrossed into the story until later in the evening. This is a fast paced written thriller with developed characters and a good storyline. Beautiful Dangerous can be read as a stand alone novel.

Yesterday’s Over by Becky Flade is the third book in the Philly Heat series, which I have really enjoyed thus far. This storyline really drew me in as all the others have because the subject matter is really up my alley. As someone who is a fan of all the Law and Orders, and Bones, I really like how this series includes cops, medical examiners, and detectives, an anthropologist, and even a supposed bad guy. In Yesterday’s Over Trudy and Ben are a made for each other pair, they are relatable, and much liked just like the other couples in the series. The tension and suspense is great. All of the books in this series are stand alone stories but some of the characters do cross over into the other books. Overall this is a clean, fast paced, well written, romantic suspense that I enjoyed.

Fall to Pieces by Becky Flade is book 2 in the Philly Heat series and a great addition to the series it was. Alexandra Danvers, a homicide detective, and Xavier Knight, a detective assigned to investigate Alexandra to make sure she is fit for undercover duty. So far I’ve read 3/4 of the books in this series and they have renewed my interest in romantic suspense novels. I really enjoy how much the author manages to create such realistic characters in real life situations, and keeps you hanging on her every word. This whole series are quick, clean, reads, that are hard to pull yourself away from. Although the author is new to me with this series I’ll be looking forward to finishing it and checking out her backlog.

So, this isn’t your typical good gal, good guy romantic suspense novel. A Love Restrained is book 1 in the Philly Heat Series. It’s about Kylee Parker, a Philadelphia police Officer, and Jayson Donovan, a drug dealer. She doesn’t know who or what he has become since she hasn’t seen him since she was a teen with a bad crush. There is no gray area with Kylee, so bad, is bad, and good, is good, right?! Maybe wrong?! This was a great, clean, book with solid writing, realistic characters, that I read incredibly quickly.

Beautiful Dangerous is another addition to the Philly Heat Series, it’s Book number 4. It’s a romantic suspense novel between a public defender, Hannah, and a cop, Doyle. One thing I really appreciated was that Beautiful Dangerous was told through dual point of views so we got to hear from Hannah and Doyle which I really like. Becky Flade did an amazing job of making these characters feel real and the story felt realistic, and their chemistry was off the charts which is why the suspense, and genuine feelings, were immediate when they were forced to be together so Doyle could protect her from her stalker. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. If romantic suspense is your jam Beautiful Dangerous is one of the greats.

The suspense in this story is absolutely high. You’ll love it and you’ll hate it but you’ll love it again. The ending is the best and was totally unexpected. This is my first book by Becky Flade and I was very upset with myself for not having found her sooner. Hannah and Doyle will be your favorite story to date.

Different POV’s honestly makes a book for me! Being able to see and learn from everyone is one of my favorite things. The twists and turns, the drama, the suspense…perfect! Needing a bodyguard because you have a stalker? Yes please! I knew I would devour this read and I loved every single page. If you want a great book with romance AND mystery..this one is for you.
