Okay now I’m more into this Saga! In The Fire God Tour we find Miles, now 26, living his life as a hip-hop artist with proclivity for pyrotechnics. I really didn’t care for how his mom, Lecia, was written and I’m glad this is now his story, vs Lecia and Cade. I enjoy Miles’ character and love how he has grown. Introducing Bella was definitely a nice touch and seeing how Miles and her not only interacted but grew together as characters kept me reading and not wanting to put the book down. Of course this wouldn’t be a Moore Family Saga without a little drama. Someone is out for Miles’ life in this go round.I really look forward to diving into book 4!@placexba View all my reviews

Playing with Fire, the next book in the Moore family saga picks up with a 7 year old Miles. It was good and definitely a series that all books should be read in. Traveling with Cade on his Jazz album tour, Lecia and Miles are with him in France, but planning to leave for home. Which leaves Cade in a not so happy place when he finds out. Why, because he doesn’t want to be away from his family, but primarily because Mario is still out there. Lecia’s character is so head-strung there’s times I actually can’t stand her. Cade is doing everything to protect and support his family, while tiptoeing around his head-strung wife. It drives me crazy. Then there’s Miles. I’m curious to see his character develop through this series now that a supernatural element has been introduced. Book 3 here we come!

Well it was different, I wasn’t sure how I was feeling at first, but I definitely wasn’t expecting what happened. It brought me right back into the story! The Seed on Fire was good! Cade & Lecia’s love story is beautiful and they have definite obstacles to overcome. Lecia coming up on her delivery date, she was drugged and her baby stolen. Leading Cade to reign it in and be everything Lecia needs. While his brother Vincent does everything he can to get their child back. Unfortunately this leads to a bigger issue involving a childhood family friend of Mario. I could never imagine a child being stolen from one’s body, but I feel for Cade and his need to want to do everything he can for the love of his life! What does Mario have to do with everything? Does this bring Cade and Lecia closer? Check out this story and I personally look forward to checking out book 2!

6 weeks later. lol That’s where Face of Fire begins. I love that it’s still Miles’ story. Infant babies who have the same supernatural talents cases. Unfortunately that has put a number on the backs of their babies as well as Bella and Miles directly. That being danger and drama has been a storyline through every book in this genre. I don’t care for part of the Pharoah storyline, but you will have to read and find out his storyline, no spoilers here. I liked book 5 but I was hoping for more, so I guess it would say it fell short for me. Yes, it’s book 5 in the Saga! You can go back and read all 4 leading to this one. You don’t have to though, you could start at book 3 and be satisfied. Don’t let how I feel deter you, because you could love it!

Well I am still intrigued! To Be a Fae Guardian was good! It starts pretty much where book 1 left off with the consequences of one’s actions. Titania is once again brought under scrutiny for treason. She always believed she was doing the right thing and hopes others will see fit. It’s a story about how the Queen of Aubren navigates devastation in varying ways to reign supreme. Not trying to spoil book 1 or book 2 navigating this review has been difficult. All questions will be answered if you just read it! It’s definitely not a standalone, you really should look into reading book 1 first. All will make better sense if you do. If you enjoyed book 1, what are you waiting for?!?!

I’ve only recently enjoyed books involving Fae, so I took a risk jumping into this story. It was good, I felt some parts were a little slow but that hasn’t deterred me from wanting to read book 2! To Be a Fae Queen, introduces us to Princess Titania, a stubborn and elusive Fae who will do anything to help the Fae of Aubren, as well as those in other realms. Begging her father, the king, to allow her to help out in the battle against the kobold Titania is restricted to their home. Titania comes up with a plan to go searching for the kobold herself with the assistance of Foster who has been enlisted to protect her. Coming out victorious her father graciously hands over his crown making her queen. Though in the same evening her integrity was brought into question and to be challenged to prove she’s worthy of her birth right. Does she succeed in the challenge? What about Foster, where does he fit into everything? Did they really defeat the kobold? Those 3 questions and more will come to fruition and be answered if you give this Fae novel a chance! If you’re like me and are on the fence when it come to Fae novels, then let me tell you, you’re missing out if you don’t give this book a chance!

And we’re back to wrap up Becky’s story. I have mixed feelings about Rebecca Steele Living the Dream. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. We still have the past of Johnny Munroe still lingering around as Chance & Becky begin their lives as man and wife. There’s also Chance’s past with his daughter’s mom Carrie. Baggage on both sides. Which leads to some ups and downs on both sides. Once tragedy strikes it’s all about how they rise up and go on with life. I don’t want to give much away so I’ll say this: If you stumbled across this book as I have, you should start back at book 1. Get the entire backstory, not that it couldn’t be a standalone novel, however some things will make more sense. Enjoy!

Such a sweet story! Rebecca Steele Finding the Dream was very good. With ups, downs, highs and lows it’s everything you could ask for in a book. Becky Steele, on the cusp of starting her country music career while in her 40s, picks the one song that reminds her of past love with Johnny Munroe to launch it. Besides all that she also competes in barrel racing at the rodeo where she meets Chance(Adam Mason). After a scary accident she loses most of her memory of her 20s & 30s, but is assured it’ll come back in time. Romance is in the air between Chance & Becky with Johnny looming in the shadows. With sadness, love, happiness, and drama this story does not disappoint as Becky navigates a new road in life while leaving an old road behind. Well minus her best friend Emily, who will always be along for the ride. I look forward to reading book 3, more than I was to reading this book because of the time jumps in book 1. Don’t let that deter you because I’m glad I did. It was worth it!

I was skeptical at first but I’m glad I took the leap and read this book. I loved it! How two supernatural societies, that were mortal enemies, evolved into a truce for the greater good for both groups showed great growth throughout. Tasha, a vampire, who has never felt like she belonged. Levi, a lycan, has always been a loner due to his black fur pattern, which has always been viewed as out of control. Mortal enemies that came together not only to fight a common enemy but as mates. Tasha and Levi met the summer before they were meant to go into their respective armies, to learn to fight one another. A drop from a tree and two bites later, they thought they killed one another. That never happened; they both survived, creating a bond that summer that could never be broken. 20 years was the service time they both needed to serve, after that they promised one another they would meet each other in Paris. Come 10 years later a new enemy has emerged which forges them to cross paths once again. Never forgetting their connection they join together to find out what is killing both of their species faster than anything ever has. The growth and love between these two characters is exponential in itself and makes me look forward to continuing their story in book two!

Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, Tasha and Levi, what are we going to do with you both?!?! In Forbidden Mate we are entertaining book 2 of Tasha and Levi’s story. It’s definitely one I’m sucked into and can’t wait to read book 3. You really need to read the 1st book before jumping into this one, or you will have a lot of unanswered questions. The Master Hellspawn is still after Tasha, book 2 picks up a few months after book 1 ends. Castus is also after Tasha. So not just one enemy but two! It’s definitely worth the read, the bond between Tasha and Levi is wonderful and keeps getting stronger. If you like vampires or lycans trust me when I say it’s definitely worth the read!

Perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy! Forbidden Moon was exactly that and more. Tasha and Levi’s love story comes full circle to start this book, with not only a child, but venturing back to where they first met. Which will be the first time since they spent their initial summer together. With Castus dead, the only things after Tasha now are the Hellspawn. They are getting stronger and more persistent. After finding out Tasha is bound to be a sorceress also learns how to utilize and contain her magic better. I don’t want to give too much away because you really need to read all 3 books. So if you’re stumbling upon this book, start with book 1 in the trilogy. If you already read book 1 & 2, what are you waiting for?!?! The author did an amazing job with the trilogy so you need to do it justice and read all 3!!!

Definitely entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Swipe Right to Bite is a paranormal romantic comedy. A story of a succubus vs an incubus, satan two sex demons. What could be more entertaining than that?! Katrina, who has been in New Orleans for just under a century, has her own Tinder type app for supernatural beings to have some fun. Choosing to abstain so Satan will set her free, she uses the apps sexcapades to keep her succubus in check. Until that is Gabriel enters her turf preaching love is more powerful than sex. The dynamic between Gabriel and Katrina is entertaining as best, both hoping to dupe the other into falling in love. Does it work? Does it backfire on them? There’s also the problem of Satan who will never let Katrina go, despite making a deal with Gabriel for her freedom. Satan doesn’t actually think he will succeed. Is he right? Does Gabriel fail at the task of making Katrina fall in love? You want to laugh out loud while reading? Pick up this book! You’ll also get all the answers to the questions above along the way!

Well I enjoyed this book too! Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the next book in the series. We pick up pretty much where the last book cut off. The big difference now is through this book officer Casey Evans knows who and what Dahlia is. He doesn’t know everything but he knows she’s from a different realm and that she’s a dragon shifter. Just like book 1 I enjoy the dynamic between Detective Creed and Dahlia, however I feel like Dahlia is at a point where she’s torn. I feel like the author through the first so many chapters was implying that Dahlia wished she could tell Detective Creed her secrets, but knew he was better off not knowing. It gave me something to look forward to while reading the book.
Does he find out? Do they finally capture/defeat everyone involved in the 1st book murders?
Please check it out! I would highly recommend reading book 1 first if you haven’t already! Personally am looking forward to book 3!
Well I’ve read all kinds of books with shapeshifters, but this is the first one with Dragon shifters! Nite Fire: Flashpoint was interesting to say the least. I liked it but it took me a little bit to get into it. Dahlia fled her world because she was sentenced to death. She was going to take the death in stride but her human empathy got the best of her and she escaped. Living in the human world she’s a cleaner. To humans she’s just a maid but she really cleans up the messes that those “make believe beings” create and leave behind. One night Oren sends her on a job that flips her current world on its axis. Enter Detective Creed, who’s job and skill are to deal with the “strange and unusual” & flipping it into something the captain can report to the media. Together these two work this case of family who were brutally murdered. Dahlia is coming to terms that it’s her own kind she’s up against. Detective Creed knows something definitely isn’t right. With his case and his new partner. I enjoyed the character dynamics between the two, it’s actually what brought me back into this book. I was struggling before these two started working together. Does Detective Creed find out what Dahlia is, and who they’re really up against? This supernatural murder mystery will answer all those questions, you just need to pick up this book and give it a chance!

Unlikely to Stay was different. It was good, but definitely different. The character growth of the main two characters was like watching magic unfold. It looks like I will be going back to read books 1 & 2 to see how they turned out. Not that I feel it’s needed; this book could very well be a stand-alone novel. I really am interested in seeing if this is how the author develops all their characters, with exceptional growth. CC a stubborn salon owner who has come to terms of leading a lonely life. Her upbringing leads her to believe she’s an outcast, despite the fact the town loves her. She notices Brant Billings and immediately judges a book by it’s cover. That he’s out of her league and too good for her, a daughter of free spirited hippies. Brant Billings has been in Parker OK for over 2 years now. He’s become a creature of habit, and a hermit. CC catches his eye with her beautiful bright red hair, and he really wants to know more. For some reason though CC hates him, or so he thought. She avoids it at all costs. Until one bachelor auction finally sends these on the date they so very much needed. CC confronted with her assumptions, Brant realizing CC is a breath of fresh air he can be himself with. What happens between them after that initial first date? Well that’s where I’m going to leave you in suspense, and say get this book now to read and find out. If I keep going I’m going to post spoilers and that’s not my goal. So just read it! It’s worth it!
I’ve decided I have a love/hate relationship with Blindsided. I loved the book, don’t get me wrong, but Brock is where my love hate relationship begins. I hate Brock once we get to the present day! He loved Kirsa, you could tell from the very beginning from the younger years’ chapters, but what he did to her despite that made me hate him. Yes did her eventually grow and take his blinders off when it comes to her, yes but that doesn’t fix the past. That he made the girl he loved and cherished his whole life, high school years miserable, putting her into complete isolation and ridicule. Then there’s Victoria, I didn’t like her the minute she entered the story. The ones who always seem nice that never are. Boy was I not wrong in the assessment. She too took pleasure in Kirsa’s pain but for her own selfish reasons. And last but certainly not least is Kirsa, the character I feel for. As someone who dealt with my share of bullying, that in turn gave me the “ I don’t care what people think attitude” as well. Life is not easy when you have others making it miserable. I commend the way the author wrote this character because it’s very realistic in a sense. Unfortunately so many people succumb to the bullying, the author wrote a strong character in Kirsa that allowed her to remain strong, to rise up above everyone else and not break to them. Does she eventually break, yes but it’s not in the way one would seem. She lost the person she loved since she was 4, because of something she didn’t do. Does she get to redeem herself? You will have to read and find out. *Trigger Warning* If bullying is an issue for you, you may want to think hard before jumping right into this book. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. It’s wonderfully written and at times sad and painful to read, but it’s worth it!

The Unholy is one of those stories that has me on a fence. Though Wonderfully written, I still don’t know how I feel about the book in its entirety, but even then I can tell you some things about it. If you enjoy a story with supernatural undertones, then this book is for you! If you enjoy a strong female lead, then this book is definitely for you. Claire refuses to admit who she truly is in deep fear based on what she witnessed. As Claire deals with her internal demons to decide who she truly is. Will she finally admit who she is before she meets that same fate. I’m still on the fence but having a fantastic female lead made me intrigued. For that reason and that alone you should at least give this book a chance!

I absolutely love this series! Master Trentino did not disappoint. I’m a sucker for a romance novel, but I am not and have always been obsessed with vampires. I enjoy other supernatural beings but I hold Vampires up on a pedestal and I don’t care who knows it! Continuing on their quest to find out who Lazareth is answering too, who has been betraying the Vampire community, while putting the mates of the other masters and overmaster in danger. Trentino comes across Angel in his travels. Unfortunately for Angel her brothers, though over protective, have sealed her fate the minute they tried to hide Lazareth in her basement. Trentino is drawn to her and shows up at the right time to turn her into a member of the Vampire community. Angel, now a vampire mourning the loss of two of her brothers, struggles with her new reality. She grew up believing vampires were bad & scum, now she doesn’t know how to feel. All the while her oldest brother has been taken hostage for ransom somewhere. Keeping her on edge. If you like a good romance and are like me and love vampires, trust me you will get everything you need and then some from this book and series. Come check it out!

Whatever Tomorrow Brings was the perfect follow-up book to Come Back Tomorrow. The continuation right where book 1 left off, Will and Tori finally admitting to themselves they love one another but due to Will’s collapsed lung, due to pneumonia, they aren’t able to tell each other how they feel. Tori shows undeniable love by everything she does once Will’s moved to the ICU. Maybe not cancer related but this book especially hits home more than the first book did. Being there for someone you love with every ounce of your being, while they are battling illness isn’t for the faint at heart. It’s also one of the hardest things one could endure because it makes you feel absolutely helpless. In saying that I also know what it’s like when you get put in charge of medical decisions on sed person’s behalf and how meaningful that is. Which is exactly what Will grants Tori with. He made her his medical proxy, he also decided he’s going to fight. This could very well be a trigger warning for someone but without giving too much away, everything the core 5 characters go through is nothing short of incredible. How they grow and develop while supporting Will through his journey is amazing. How it ends? Well I’m giving nothing you need to pick up book 1 and start reading, because you definitely are going to want to read book 2!
I loved Come Back Tomorrow! It also broke my heart at points too! Reading it I felt like I was Tori watching Will manage a terminal illness as best as he can. I felt just as helpless as she did when it came to his physical pain. I also would feel the same way she does, I couldn’t bear to let him go through it alone. Despite how angry, bull-headed, stubborn he was about his point. Tori makes it a point to go see Will everyday no matter what. It’s usually easy for her to detach and be something for these terminal patients that are alone, with Will she’s invested completely. Invested so much, in fact, that she starts to fall for him and despite the pain it will lead to, all she wants to do is make him happy. I am Tori. In my own way I relate to her so much and what she’s set out to do. I would do exactly the same thing. It’s rewarding to make one smile or laugh and just that little bit can make or break someone’s day. The character development of Tori and Will is amazing and I can’t wait to jump right into the next book!

It’s different! A great different though! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ember’s Secret. Our story revolves around two lonely souls that are drawn to one another. Austin, a failure in his father’s eyes, has a love and a passion for food. He might have darkness looming over him but he’s just the light this story needed. His character development and growth is wonderfully needed throughout the story. Then there’s Ember living in fear, after her mother was killed when she was a child. Then again that’s because of her shape shifting secret she holds dear. She grows up tremendously throughout. Austin stumbles across her empty restaurant with phenomenal food because his car troubles landed him there. He sees a kindred flame within Ember and wants to give her everything nobody gave him to succeed. Though hesitant at first Ember jumps on board and let’s Austin and his team lead the way. As they grow closer they have my obstacles that erupt in their way. It’s a sweet supernatural romance that I encourage any and all to give a chance. The author did a wonderful job and I look forward to reading our books in the future.
Holiday Hope is differ because it’s a period romance, but I loved it. First time I’ve really enjoyed a period piece that wasn’t a movie that starred Kiera Knightley. Anyway back to why I loved Holiday Hope and why you should too! Cora Lee is a sweet, independent, intelligent woman who has no living family left in the states. She decides her best course of action is to answer a mail order bride article that was in the paper. Now I knew during those times arranged marriages were a thing, but I never expected the mail order bride aspect. Unfortunately the whole reason for her to uproot her life to Holiday, Oregon was under false pretenses which leaves a decision for her to make. Stay with the lovely Coleman family and continue to fall in love with Jace, the twin brother of the man who rejected her, or move on. Jace swore off women and marriage because he feels all women are like his mother, floozy and vindictive. He never wanted to risk happiness because of what happened to his father. Instead he fell in love with the railroad and trains. Then when he meets Cora who was brought here by his father to wed his twin Jude, aside from his slight attraction, he swears to himself he will nor let Jude destroy her. Throughout the story Jace and Cora Lee’s character development apart and together is what makes this book work. The things they decide and overcome make this a sweet story in an idyllic setting of the gold rush during the Holidays in Oregon. I was skeptical going in, but not so much that I wasn’t intrigued, and I glad I jumped in, because the author won over and made me toss all skeptics to the wayside.
The message that’s written in Priscida Finds Greatness is a wonderful message to push along to children, let alone the adults are sharing it with them. However the way it’s written here I feel it could be confusing. I tried to view it through the eyes of a child, but had to read it twice to best understand it.The illustrations are cute. Any child would be all for it. Only thing I’ll say as the reader is that a parent may want to read through this book before sharing it with a child. I say that because you want to make sure that you’re sharing the message, which is Greatness, and not confusing them. Greatness can be shared and found everywhere and that’s the point here. A wonderful message for young and old.
Such a sweet story that drew happy tears on more than one occasion, I loved it! Embracing Jared hit me on a deep level. I felt sadness, anger, tears, happiness and love throughout. I’ve lost a family member to the dreadful disease that’s stealing Mr. Christopher’s life, so I can completely understand everything Jared is feeling when it comes to his father. Madison, personifies the reason I actually decided the medical field wasn’t for me. I can’t disconnect, but neither can she. She cares fiercely for her patients and deals with the aftermath in her own time. Madison and Jared definitely started out with a rocky Nurse/Client relationship, however despite that Jared realizes she’s the best thing for his father. He also starts to admire her in other ways, are his feelings mutual? Though this is book 3 in the A Thrill of the Chase series, not only do I believe I read book 1 a while ago, I’m ready to go back and read through all 3 in a row. Even saying that it’s very good as a stand-alone, you don’t necessarily have to read the others. READ IT, COM’ON YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOO!

I legit cried! A Cold Creek Christmas brought happy tears to my eyes. I’m an empath so that’s not a difficult task, however it also means that I identified with the characters on a personal level. I’ve recently been reading a lot of random books in series, and I can say I want to go back and read books 1-4 because I guarantee the author will be pulling at my heartstrings with those as well! Though this is Book 5 in the Reigning Hearts series it stands extremely strong as a stand-alone novel as well! Amber, emotionally broken beyond repair or at least so she thinks. Till an unexpected “snowstorm” named Giovanni came into her life, with his daughter Talia. Amber dislikes Christmas, for reasons I won’t disclose because I want you to read it. lol Giovanni seems to make it his mission to turn that around for her, not expecting to fall in love in the process. Now is your chance to take a gander and see what happens between Amber and Giovanni, as well as any difficulties and obstacles that may present themselves along the way. While you’re doing that I’m going to go back and read book 1!

I love love loved King Bastard! Now I know I have to go back and read books 1-5. This was the 1st book I read in the series and though it would’ve been nice to know the backstory going in, it still worked well if it were a standalone novel. Lazarus and Sasha have so much tension and attraction between them that it comes out at the very beginning. The development of those 2 characters as a couple was beautiful, despite the anger, bullheadedness, the need to isolate, and the absolute need to protect. Unfortunately for Sasha, Lazarus’ psychotic deadbeat dad is still out there, and though he’s lost everything he’s still very dangerous. Which is why Lazarus does everything to keep her at a 10 foot pole distance, but his resolve is breaking and he can’t deny how he feels for the good Dr any longer. Until Jamieson Finch is put to justice if it be behind bars or death, Lazarus needs to keep up the cold shoulder appearances to keep her safe. Is that really enough though? Do Sasha and Lazarus finally admit how they feel? What happens with Jamieson Finch? Me personally I need to go learn the backstory of not only Mr. Finch but Lazarus’ other 5 brothers! As for the rest of you, it’s time to read book 6 or start at the beginning! I wish I did but hey book 6 was good and I’ll read it again in succession after reading books 1-5.

Kissing Darkness what is there to say? I think I’m really confused and I feel it’s because I missed things by not reading books 1-4, since this is book 5 in the series. So as appealing as this book may sound, I feel like one might need to read 1-4 to not be as confused as I. Character development was strong though, which was quite refreshing. Isra living a life that has continually left her down, betrayed, taken for granted, has turned from the light. A decision Samuel is trying to redirect from darkness to light. Of course that’s prompted once he finds out she has a mortal enemy. Did I forget to mention that Isra is a witch and was going to a school for Warlocks and Witches. Everilda was once friends with Isra, now she has no powers and she wants retribution against Isra for it. Even though she’s the one who betrayed her friend. I was intrigued when I stumbled across this book, but I feel as wonderful a world these characters grow, develop, and live in. I would’ve had a better understanding reading this book if I read 1-4. So now I stress reading them all the best advice I can give. I’m going to start again but by reading books 1-4 first.

OH EM GEE!! Born in Darkness was the perfect book 3 in Mafia Elite Series. I love Emiliana and Stefano’s story, I love their character development too, especially when together. Emiliana is the one he can’t have, for her own safety, but she’s the only 1 Stefano wants. Someone’s after Emiliana the question is who? She’s been in a situation where she was kidnapped before but this time feels different. A situation that has hardened her to likes of her world and the cruelties outside of the mafia as well. Which infuriates Stefano, but he has to keep his mind about him, so he can rise and forcibly replace his father as the head of the Rossi family. On top of all that they are trying to flush a rat out of the organization, that’s giving away valuable information to the wrong people. I want to say so much but I’m behaving because I don’t want to spoil the book for others. So I’ll end on this note as some who’s read all 3 books: If you have yet to read a Mafia Elite book, stop what you’re reading now and start reading this series! Yes please start with book 1, trust me you’ll get to this book because you won’t want to put it down. If you’ve read book 1 & 2, what are you waiting for? I know your heart beats for book 3 so go on out and get it! No matter who comes across this book, trust me when I say you will not be disappointed if you jump head 1st into the Mafia Elite Series! It’s entertaining, there’s action, there’s romance, there’s death, ect. IT’S WORTH IT!!!!

Definitely different, but I loved the different! Fall to Pieces is an investigation with an investigation. A murder mystery with Internal Affair’s right in the middle. Lexi, a North East Philly detective, has been assigned a new partner. Xavier has been assigned to Lexi’s precinct to investigate Lexi, what better way to do that is as her partner. First case as partners, a homicide of a child. A case that could make or break her career Lexi is determined to get justice for the family. Xavier is torn in his quest to prove that Lexi is unfit. Lexi exudes a lot of confidence and qualities he admires, but feels she can be careless. Oh and he’s also attracted to her, that never makes things easy. I loved the character development of Lexi and Xavier as individuals and working together, but the book has me posing a few questions for you. Will Lexi find out Xavier has been brought in to essentially “take her badge”? Will Lexi and Xavier act on their mutual attraction? Will justice be delivered for Tommy Welsh? Three intriguing questions that have answers just as intriguing of answers, but if I answered them for you what good is that. READ FIND OUT THOSE 3 ANSWERS AND MORE! It’s a whirlwind of a book that will DEFINITELY NOT DISAPPOINT! You are going to want more when it’s over!
