A beautiful beginning to what looks like could be a great series. Mr. Nice Guy introduces us to the youngest Pierce brother. One who is written as sweet but damaged from relationships past. Chelsea always dates the wrong guy, she’s too nice for her own good. Unfortunately for her she likes the bad boys. I can definitely relate to that. Bad boys have this confidence that makes them attractive despite how bad they may be for you. Nice guys finish last! That’s what applies to Tom. At the same time Tom is wallowing in his own self pity from relationships past. Despite all that he agrees with Nadia’s, Chelsea’s best friend, crazy plan to show Chelsea what it would be like to date a nice guy for the next seven days. Being his best friend’s baby sister and the fact he’s attracted to her the next week definitely is a whirlwind for them both. This is book 1 in a new series but it really feels that it could just as much be a standalone as well. The author wrote some wonderful characters that have been through some painful experiences, in a manner the reader can relate too! Makes me look forward to book 2!

Distant Memories has me falling further into a world of exploration then Distant Heart sounds did! I’m in love with these books. They are light, dark, and humorous, sometimes one just needs a book to make them laugh out loud. We return to Good Samaritan and Morgan’s now bizarre life. Only this time something dark and sinister is lurking in the shadows. It also doesn’t help that a certain Dr.Lightfoot is also lurking. Is Caleb too good to be true? That’s the question Morgan keeps asking herself. Meanwhile Caleb is trying to wrap his head around everything Morgan is experiencing. All the while chipping away at Morgan’s resolve. Meanwhile, someone lets Esmeralda through a dimension portal and she is wreaking havoc wherever she goes. She also has a massive chip on her shoulders against women. Who let her out? Was it because of Caleb? Are Morgan’s insecurities unfounded? Those questions and so many more popped into my mind while reading book 2 in this series. In saying that if you think this book sounds interesting, make sure you read book 1 first. It sets up this world and backstory up for book 2 perfectly. Again I’ll reiterate that this is a great beginning to a series, I hope there’s potential for more in the future. More books by this author is a definite must!!

Levi was a sweet/hard different type of romance than I’m used to. A band of male identical triplets, which gives me at least 2 more books to look forward to. This is Levi’s wild ride. Well written with beautiful character growth especially for the main female character was exponential. In witness protection to be hidden from her Russian Mafia ex-boyfriend, Bella finds herself a nanny to a recently orphaned girl. Though she’s not Bella to them but Beccy instead. The only one who knows her real identity is Levi. Bella does everything she can to fit and blend in but housework and cooking was never something she ever did before. Levi, ex-Navy seal, has been tasked to keep Bella safe. He uses it to his advantage by suggesting she be a nanny to his baby sister. Levi is deeply wounded from his time in the military, so if you suffer from ptsd go into this novel and tread lightly. I know people personally who could sympathize with Levi as they’ve battled that monster as well. Helping each other along the way Bella and Levi end up growing closer to one another, developing a connection that grows throughout. Bella is posh and Levi is hard nosed and hands on, what would these two ever have in common? Is it a story of safety? Or is it about opposites attracting? Do their feelings get in the way? If only their lives were easier, maybe they could explore the chemistry between them. Maybe there is just lots to look forward to, not only in Levi’s story but in the future books starring Amos and Elijah.

I’ve always been a firm believer that everyone crosses our paths for a reason. If it be brief and/or forever. Which leads me to my next two questions: Have you ever made a deal with someone and regretted it the next day? Was alcohol involved? I’ve been there, what about you? Someone Exactly Like Me starts exactly like that. A sweet tiptoe around each other friendship/romance novel. It also makes me wonder if that’s why the author named the female lead Destiny. Soulmates and destiny go hand in hand if you believe in that stuff, so it definitely fits. Niccolo Mancini, an Italian model/singer/actor, has been the star of Destiny’s fantasies since she saw Don Matteo. Never in a million years did she think she would come face to face with him, on her thirtieth birthday no less. Destiny, a romance novelist, has been in a writer’s slump the last few years, that is until Nicco. He’s awakened something in her and she just has to keep going. Nicco can’t keep his eyes off of her, but he knows deep down he’s all wrong for her. He still approaches her anyway. Never expecting this breath of fresh air to call him out on his antics. Which gives him an idea, he offers to be the star of her next novel, if she puts him in touch with her mom for help breaking into the Hollywood celebrity scene. And that is where the story takes off on an adventure of my fantasies. I would like to hope for yours as well. Who wouldn’t want to go on an adventure showing an Italian actor around where you grew up. The growth of these characters during this adventure is beautiful. They are both stubborn and set in their ways. However they also crumbled each other’s barrier walls around their hearts. A well written dynamic for anyone to enjoy.

This series is amazing! It has it’s ups and downs and some really dark themes running throughout but if you sit down and read them you will get sucked in. Dark Sparrows Boxset is full of romance and suspense, and though you could read each book individually they are so much better in succession. I say that because I’ve read King Bastard before, and I swore at that time I would go back and read books 1-5 then re-read book 6. Well that’s exactly what this boxset allowed me to do. I re-fell in love with the main characters of book 6 as well as everyone else. The events set into motion by none other than Lazarus King, he’s made it his life’s mission to bring down his estranged father, Jamieson Finch. Along the way he’s learned that he isn’t Jamieson’s only bastard son and these books are what brings them together for a common cause. Book 1 Lost Bastard puts into the Chicago underground. Which means there’s quite a bit of suspense that’s going to be throughout. Aleksei, a potential Russian Bratva operative, gets pulled into illegal fighting by his estranged father. It’s at that point he meets Deva. Deva, a MC princess, has been in hiding after escaping the Chicago underground. When she’s called upon by Beatrice, as one of her Dark Sparrows to assist Lazarus King in uniting his brother’s and keeping them safe from Finch. Book 2 Cold Bastard brings Archer Blackwood to the spotlight. Despite learning in book 1 Lazarus has already been in contact with other brothers Archer has no idea about the relations or his father is and how close he’s circling. Is it your typical Billionaire Romance? Of course not because all these books are tied together. Little did Archer know Zoe was going to change his life. Zoe is the next Dark Sparrow tasked into action because of her penchant for solving puzzles as well as being multilingual. Unfortunately there’s a slight twist in this book that they don’t see coming, proving Finch is currently a few steps ahead of them. Book 3, Welcome to the Kai Jones lighthearted adventure, or is it? In Wild Bastard, Kai gets brought to his knees by the one who got away. Kai, being the most lighthearted and laid back of Finch’s six bastard sons, doesn’t see his Dark Sparrow coming. Despite everything going on knowing that fact and the dark undertones it’s probably the lightest book in the set in my opinion. Isabel never thought she’d see Kai again after she disappeared on him 15 years earlier in Hawaii. With secrets that are buried deep she never realized her feelings towards him would come back full force. Being the PR guru she is, she’s tasked to become the specialist Finch hirers to help launch his mayoral campaign. Will it be successful? Will the brother’s finally get what they want? It was also a breath of fresh air to see Deva and Aleksei back in this book, since they were absent from book 2. Book 4 True Bastard, gives the reader a lot of inner turmoil storylines. Liam is a cop, which doesn’t necessarily mess well with his brother’s who float in the illegal underground of Chicago to get things done. At the same time he wants nothing more to be part of the cause to take Finch down. Anything he can and will do to help Lazarus and his other brothers he will do. Unfortunately with Archer taking the reins because of Lazarus being in a coma things are starting to slip. Does that make it the perfect time for Finch to slide in and destroy his sons? It walks Catriona, a numbers expert, that Dark Sparrow calls to help shut down Finch’s finances. Catriona is on the road to becoming a nun, but after meeting Liam she’s struggling with the road she wants to travel. Though not as light as book 3 this is probably the only other light book in this series. Book 5 Dark Bastard in my opinion is the darkest. Extremely dark storylines that I feel a reader should know could be a trigger warning, so just use caution going in. Sam has been living in a dark cloud since childhood. Ready to end it all until one misdialed phone call changes everything. Finch knows exactly who Sam is, he took him away from his mother and broke him as a child. Forever damaging his psyche. Ellie was ready to end it all, till New Year’s Eve and a mysterious caller stopped those plans in their tracks. Now being held hostage with Sam, the caller, by his psycho father they need to do everything they can to bid their time and get out. These two beautifully fight light and dark throughout this whole book. Book 6, King Bastard is still my favorite book in the series, however closely followed by Cold Bastard. Finally making it to Lazarus King, the man who set this all in motion. Now it’s time for the epic conclusion, but not without him being brought to his knees as well. Ever since waking up from his coma, he feels like he’s putting his brother’s in too much danger, especially since they’ve all found women they love. He pulls back from everyone, till Sasha shows him there’s another way. Sasha, the resident bastard’s doctor when needed, hates being told what to do. And Lazarus being the prime suspect of doing such things, the man drives her crazy. Yet since she cared for him during his coma, she’s started to see him in a new light. The passion between them is undeniable. Do they succeed? Does Finch finally get what’s coming for him? What happens between brothers? This is a well written series and again I will say I love it. The author wrote characters that are easy to fall in love with. Such wonderful themes and so much suspense, romance, and love throughout. So worth it!!!

The Lie That Binds is truly and utterly heartbreaking, tragic, loving, and entertaining. This is not the first book I’ve read by this author and it definitely won’t be the last. I loved every single aspect. The romance, the sadness, the humor, the anger, ect all it was written beautifully. It also gave off “Never Been Kissed” vibes. Have you ever had a secret you were too embarrassed about so you would do anything to hide it? I do currently, but unlike Nathan I haven’t had anyone unknowingly find out. Secrets always come out, it’s at your control if you are the one delivering the secret or a 3rd party. Unfortunately for Nathan he doesn’t handle that too well. He devises a plan with his brother to help keep the secret under wraps, little did he know Holly was going to blow into his life and shake everything up. Holly, new to her small Oregon town, has a run with a gorgeous popular boy. Unfortunately he’s not a very nice person. After witnessing him have an epileptic seizure, the dynamic between them changes. Started off as friends but it has evolved to more. However there are classmates who don’t approve and will do anything to undermine them. Will they survive? The growth and the change between these characters together and apart is written so well. I look forward to digging into more books by this author. She definitely has a gift!
When one accident happens and you lose everything. That’s what’s going on when we enter the firehouse 13 world in Burned By Fire. A story about finding oneself and learning to accept the love given to you. Solomon saved 2 children from a fire, but he paid the ultimate price. His career is gone. Forced in early retirement by the fire department due to extensive injuries he’s become a lost soul. Ember’s hero was hurt and he’s spiraling faster than anyone can help him. She still pushes and tries though. She also uses that time to be honest with him. This book is a wonderful story of redemption. Though Solomon feels his life is over. The author has him go through the trials and tribulations dealing with life after tragedy. I’ve seen people with injuries and mental health struggle. So this story hits home for me. I’ve also seen those people take a lot longer to move forward. Which is why this is a fictional romance, but a beautiful one at that!

I love this series! Body Checked is a wonderful sports romance. The dynamic and chemistry between Bridger and Tia is undeniable. There’s just some obstacles and secrets on the road to happiness. Nothing stays a secret forever, it always comes out. Unfortunately for Tia her secret is destroying her life even before meeting Bridger. Her ex-boyfriend won’t let her go, and takes great joy in destroying every aspect of her life. Which is why when she meets Bridger she keeps him at arm’s lengths as much as possible. Bridger is in turmoil on the ice and in his personal life. In jeopardy of losing everything, his agent goes into damage control mode to clean up his image. Neither he nor his agent ever expected Tia to come barreling into his life, changing everything. The author puts us on a rollercoaster of unrequited feelings and lust. The depiction of these two stubborn characters is perfect. There’s so much to lose for both of them, will they actually take a leap? Will Tia’s ex-boyfriend come rolling in again to ruin it all? I also really enjoyed how their story runs simultaneously with book one’s story between Brynn and Levi. The best part is you don’t have to read book one to enjoy book two. It’s a standalone as much as it’s a series. Not that you shouldn’t read both, especially if you love romance and hockey.

Have you ever felt like you were only second best? I know I have. Have you ever felt like you were just there and nobody cared a lick for you? I definitely have as well. That’s exactly the feel you get from the main character in this book. The Second Alpha Heir is about Nolen’s triumph and redemption. Does he succeed? With many bumps along the way Nolen has always been at the wayside. When his brother is attacked and killed when he’s just entering his teenage years Nolen has no choice but to step up and train. He’s the pack’s next Alpha if he wants to be or not. He’s been bullied and had to live with those who didn’t believe he could succeed. I relate to Nolen on so many levels. I’m sure anyone who can answer the two questions I posed at the beginning in the way I have will too! The author doesn’t make it easy, my emotions were all over reading this novel. I was hesitant at first, because I know I get emotionally invested, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. I enjoy shifter books and this was no different. I enjoyed it, well not at first but it grew on me. Just know if you are an emotional person going in, the author is going to make you feel. Don’t let that be the reason you stay away. READ IT!
I love this series! I also love this author! Vive La Resistance! I say that with authority as if I’m involved. Because that’s exactly how this author makes you feel. That you are the half-breed fighting to survive! Donovan Trait is back! He’s one of my favorite Vampire character’s ever written, but I digress. We are at war, the Coalition vs Trait’s. Well it started out that way. But as you read through book three in the Donovan Trait series, you begin to realize it’s bigger than revenge and silencing the Trait’s. Now don’t take me saying war lightly because yes there may be some fire power, this is more cyber and technological warfare. Headed by the Lynx, he and his team find a way to get the messages out to half breeds. First starting with subliminal messages, then creating an app for protection, as well as creating units of humans to unknowingly keep the half breeds safe. Do they succeed? What other obstacles present themselves? Who will come out the victor of this war? Just a few questions and as you read I’m sure you will have others. Also another big theme throughout is vampire infertility, and why all the sudden one day it ceased to exist. The author does a fabulous job tying the two themes together in an unexpected way. She has a knack for that type of writing. It keeps you interested and guessing. You will not want to put this book down. But you must start at book one if you haven’t, it will be so worth it! I guarantee you will fall in love with Donovan Trait just like I have!

Devil’s Breath was definitely different. Not a different I was really a big fan of. However, don’t let how I feel deter you. This book may not be my thing, but it could be the book you fall in love with. The author did a fabulous job weaving a criminal web that keeps one interested. A story full of drugs, gangs, theft, and murder keeps you on your toes at every turn. Sera, a hired assassin, has just started the biggest job in her life. Rope in a billionaire, drain his accounts, and kill him. How hard could that be? Cassius is once again trying to bail out his brother Christian, to keep the strain off his parents. Little does he know Christian has other plans for him. Christian was the brother he idolized growing up and he turned into everything Cassius never expected. Meeting Sera has opened his eyes to a life he never thought he’d have. Unfortunately Sera’s lifestyle and father are a major complication in his happily ever after. It’s not a book I took with a grain of salt, it’s just not my thing. The action/romance are well written. Give it a chance and decide for yourself.

The Titans of Manhattan are back! This time we are digging deeper into Jonas’s story and life in Victoriously Yours. Book 4 is not my favorite but I still love this series! The author introduces us to the world for cruelty amongst teenagers and how sometimes it can go too far. Kenzie and Jonas went to high school together and she thought they were everything. Until she found out she was just a “bet” that he fed her the sweet nothings she needed to hear to give over to him everything he wanted. Scarred by that experience making her who she is today, Kenzie is determined to win the opportunity to run her own restaurant. Unfortunately the man who destroyed her life 10 years ago will be her biggest obstacle in succeeding with the task. She implores him into a game of cat and mouse, which just amps up his desires for her. Jonas has lived with guilt the last 10 years he suppresses. Who would’ve thought that his guilt would be front and center vying for a job at his hotel. The author’s depiction of the tension between these 2 characters as they dance around each other comes across beautifully. I don’t necessarily agree with everything the characters did but “Hey” that’s part of the journey. I can only hope for more books about the Titans in the future.

Omg I need more Remington Starke in my life! I loved The Mastermind. The characters were definitely written well! Scarred by their past both Remington and Audri lived through different scenarios that molded them into who they are today. Where does one even begin?!? Remington witnessed an organized crime murder when he was 15. A stranger with a scar across his face gave him and his best friends a second chance. He took that chance and hardened himself so no one, and I mean no one could take advantage of him. Being a wealthy businessman he needed to be cut throat to survive and grow. Audri, blames herself for the fire that killed her father and cat when she was just 8 years old. All she remembers is dropping a candle which made the fire her fault. Causing ptsd fire has been her biggest fear moving through life, minus the fire burning within her. Remington being the only one who can keep the fire going. Even when she was a teen. How do two people navigate obstacles that are more tied together than they realize? How do two people who are attracted to each other avoid that attraction? Why does Audri have to be Remington’s best friend’s little sister? Now is the time to jump into the world of Providence RI and the annual Waterfire Festival. You will grow to love these characters and their supporting counterparts. I look forward to reading their stories later on in this series.

Finding Starlight is so much more than I could’ve ever imagined. It’s such a wonderful story of friendship, love, and family. Of course there’s definitely a dark cloud of drama/suspense woven in. One can definitely feel it too! Especially with the way it started, everything seemed perfect. I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop, and it definitely did. It just wasn’t who I was expecting. Ellawyn ran away from everything she knew in Maine, family, friends, and an abusive ex-boyfriend. She’s become a recluse now living in Quimby Grove PA. Setting up camp on a daily basis in Starlight Books, with the shop’s owner Benji. Starting to live life again, while helping Benji through a tough time, someone starts to target her. Which very well could force her back into her shell. Beckett being called away from Boston to come back home, he had no idea what he was walking into. When he found out his grandfather was sick he dropped everything to do what he could to help out. Mesmerized by this beautiful woman who seems to have set-up shop in Starlight books, he quickly learns she means a great deal to Pops(Benji.) Between the two of them the author weaves a web, that if someone would pull the strings it would put these two closer together in the center. Navigating through Benji’s illness is no walk in the park. And the way the author puts the reader through the emotions you feel it’s your loved one and not a story you’re reading. Getting emotionally invested is not an option. It’s going to happen and even more so if you’ve lived through any of the different narratives presented throughout. I speak from experience. So now it’s your turn, to live vicariously through the characters to see which narrative hits home the most while enjoying a fabulous story.

What is there to say about Deadly Sommer? Well it reminded me a lot of the movie Untraceable. There’s always a story to tell. Especially once one resorts to kidnapping. Nora Sommer, nineteen, and new to the Cayman Island police force thought she was going to have a normal day. Well boy was she wrong. Getting looped into a 4 challenge scheme to rescue the daughter of a prominent Florida business man Donovan Briggs. Jensen Massey is trying to prove a point. That his wife was murdered and that it was covered up. So he kidnaps Skylar Briggs and enlists Nora into helping him with his game. “Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” Broadcast online for anyone to see. Jensen has a message and doesn’t plan to stop till the family he feels is behind his wife’s death is brought down and held responsible. Will Nora get through all 4 challenges? Does Skylar end up hurt and/or dead? Where does the Briggs family fall into all this? The author keeps you intrigued and guessing on what will happen next. Weaving you through a story of corruption, lies, and the benefits of having friends in high places. Unfortunately an innocent young woman is used as a pawn to get the story across. If you like suspenseful thrillers this book is definitely for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed Distant Heart Sounds, but if I’m being honest, it took a few chapters to get into it. The author has written a wonderful book with all kinds of emotions, happiness, fear, anger, humor etc. I actually laughed out loud at different points throughout. So if you give it a try, don’t give up on it. It’s so worth pushing through because once you get into it, trust me when I say you will be caught. Hook line and sinker.. lol So we meet Morgan, a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. Who is just returning to work 3 weeks after having life saving brain surgery. Little did she know how much that event was going to change her life. She begins to experience things that she can’t explain. Waking up to a party going on in her house, yet there’s no one there. Experiencing strange smells in different situations. Seeing patients’ essence leave their body as they pass on. And so much much more. Unfortunately she seems to be questioning her sanity, she’s adamant that she knows what she saw but knows if anyone finds out they may think she’s crazy. Savannah, Morgan’s boss and dear friend, notices Morgan is not herself and is beginning to worry. After confronting her about it Morgan brings her into a world like no other. One that they begin to experience together, that blows even the reader’s minds. Then there’s Caleb, person of interest, new doctor on staff. He’s mysterious, handsome, and very confident with himself. Caleb is also very drawn to Morgan. Will it go anywhere? Well pick it up, download it, whatever you have to do to jump into this world the author created. You won’t want to miss the adventure the characters end up on that’s for sure.

I’m a sucker for these types of books. Everything to Me definitely fit the bill. The author pulls you in with the untouchable storyline that develops into so much more. Pete, a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, is now a professional baseball player. He has everything he ever dreamed of. Well almost everything. When his best friend’s little sister shows up at his door on a business trip, he’s reminded of just that. One problem is that she’s off limits. Her brother Ryan would never approve of some like him to date her. Kendall thought she could have a fling with her childhood crush to get him out of her system. That was her plan when she called Pete for a place to stay. Unfortunately it takes some convincing due to his close relationship with her brother. Never did she imagine she would struggle to stick to the terms. Or to fall even harder for him. The author weaves a tension induced web around them that is about to go up in flames. How does Pete feel about all this? Will Kendall and Pete move forward? The biggest elephant throughout, does Ryan find out? It’s a sweet story I was sucked right into, and I think you will be too!

As Close to Perfect was cute and well written. The main female character though drove me crazy! Bree, omg I wanted to scream at times. I get it she’s been through some bad break-ups, but man was she a frustrating character. Nit-picking every little thing, especially with Nate. So screwed up by past men that when she was dating Steven she missed the signs of a controlling man. Nate, poor guy. Heart of gold if you ask me. Pinning for a girl he can’t have. Watching her date other people, while he stands on the sidelines. He’s a saint even because he was in her corner even while she dated these guys. With her being such a big “B” to him, it’s hard to believe he stuck around. This mixed race/culture romance weaves through obstacles with finesse and very little error in my eyes. I tried to sympathize with Bree knowing I’ve been in her shoes. She was just written over top for me. I was team Nate all the way! The questions are: Does she finally see him? Does Bree open her eyes to what’s been in front of her the last 7-8 months? Does Nate’s patience finally run thin and he gives up? So many many more questions to have answered. As you begin to read, trust me when I say questions will keep popping in your mind. Most of which will be answered, you just need to finish the author’s story. This book gives the girl/boy next door vibes. The one you always overlook or fight one’s feelings against. Check it out if that’s your thing!

Captivating is the best way to describe Captivated! an interesting ménage romance with a deadly twist. Well at least it seems that way… Salvatore and Luca have finally found their mate. Unfortunately they need to get to her before Viktor does. If Viktor were to succeed in killing her it would in time lead to their demise as well. How you wonder? Well you are going to have to jump in and read the story the author weaves for them. Angelina, unlucky in love. Constantly being set up on blind dates by her best friend, refuses to settle for less than she deserves. Little does she know that she’s not only going to be on the receiving end of one man’s love but two. And it’s going to change her life forever. This is the 2nd book I’ve read by this author and they are definitely different. The author weaves unexpected stories within supernatural/paranormal elements with grace. I look forward to jumping into more books in the future! Possibly even this series since it is book 1 after all.

I knew A Long Kiss Goodbye has a paranormal aspect, but never did I expect the route it went. The author wrote an interesting story. A story I was sucked into, I had to keep reading once I started. Once I was done, I felt like the emotions I went through, I have a love/hate relationship for this book. Avery, an ordinary woman in her late 20s, ends up in an extraordinary situation. That’s tied to the murders happening in her Arizona home. She just doesn’t understand how. Someone attacked her, cut into her chest but she’s still alive. People nearby are suffering the same fate, but aren’t surviving. The question is, why? Luys is way more than he seems. He’s hiding something and Avery doesn’t like it. Now that she knows her neighbor she’s going to push him to reveal parts of his past. It won’t be easy for either person to understand but it needs to be said. Now being the prime suspect in the murder of someone in their complex, Luys needs to figure out his next steps. It’s a case of whodunnit, with a paranormal twist. Can Luys prove his innocence? Does he turn in the real culprit, or continue to protect her? Does Avery finally see who Luys truly is? All that and so many more questions will litter your mind while reading this book. I liked it! I really did! But the main protagonist in Flame and Crystal Thorns, drove me crazy. She was all I could battle then would completely freeze up during battle. I understand she had trauma but she needed to admit she needed help. Chloe, a human who lived in the Faerie realm. Is just coming into being an adult after being involved in war. Now in the human realm as an apothecary trying to find her way where she belongs. Has been dealing with an unknown human illness, till she’s called upon to return to Faerie. Quintus is calling on her to return. The humans are trying to destroy Faerie with iron. Iron is poisonous to not only the realm but also everyone of Far descent. He firmly believes she’s the only one that can help save them in this battle. Unfortunately she’s not being very cooperative. Fighting their mutual feelings for one another, the growth between these two is a site to witness. I feel a massive love hate relationship between the two, which makes me look forward to future books in this series. I look forward to their character development together and a part. The author definitely created some characters I’m really curious to stay with through their journey. Despite Chloe’s resistance she ends up with the issues in both realms are connected. To save the humans, they need to heal Faerie from iron poisoning. What will happen? Do they succeed? What about the feelings for one another they tiptoe around? A new series that potentially fuels excitement for anyone who loves to get lost in the Fae world. I look forward to what’s next!!

I definitely didn’t understand what I was diving into when I decided to read The Wolf’s Shadow. It’s bizarre but good. I’m used to werewolf romances and mysteries. Definitely a mystery, however I think this is the first time I read a book that shines werewolves in this light. The author brings a whole new aspect to the idea and one can’t help but get sucked in. Joanie, inheriting her grandfather’s 500 million estate, and ends up starting life over. Almost dying in her lab’s fire and losing her job, why not start a new life elsewhere. With her best friend Lonna in tow they set off to Crystal Pines. Little did they know they were about to get thrown into the world of child kidnappings and the supernatural. The author takes us on an up and down ride of their investigation. Joanie to find out what happened to her grandfather, and Lonna the missing children. Things are starting to look like the two are connected. To find out more you’re just going to have to jump in and check it out for yourself!

Trey has finally met the one who will bring him to his knees! He thought it was Teresa, he thought her death would end him emotionally. Boy was he wrong. Hailey is the spitfire he never thought he was missing. Her courageous character not backing down from his violent life blew him away. If he were Dark she is definitely Light! Collateral Damage, book 6 in the Magia Elite series did not disappoint. I think it may have been a tad shorter than the previous books, but still great in its own right. I’m going to be really depressed when book 7 comes out, since I believe that’s the finale. This series is so good it’s worth reading once and then reading it again. It’s romance and action thrown together! So good!

Running to the Sea was a sweet best friends to lovers book. Separated for years by life, Thomas Capshaw was brought back to Sandersville Beach after inheriting his grandfather’s home on the beach. It was the home where he spent his summers growing up, so many memories and love shared. There was also her. Emeline never left her hometown. Waitress by morning and artist everyday this was her life. Never did she expect Thomas Capshaw to walk right back into it. Sending both their lives onto a different axis. Best friends to the core, but is there a chance for more? The author navigates an unsteady relationship with finesse. Though there will always be drama, and the way it was introduced worked.
Star Fall from the Sky, a second chance at love story. Amongst grief one can find happiness, or so it is shared during grief console sessions. Dr. Walden is new in town, taking over the town practice. Starting over while dealing with great loss. Ginger, a new mom and happily married. At least so she thought. Until a tragic accident took away her husband, leaving her all alone with their infant daughter. Navigating grief isn’t easy and the way the author brought these two souls together amongst their grief, was beautiful. Of course nothing is without complications, but you will have to read to find out what those are.
A Sun so Bright is my favorite thus far. It made me cry some. Which was surprising since I didn’t care for Fiona after book 1, a typical rich spoiled girl. Fiona coming full circle since book 1 has caused a change of heart. Though Chris may have something to do with that. Chris, a bartender to the NYC elite. Trying to make money to finish his home renovations in Cold Creek. NYE in NYC, a lot of drunk privileged people. It also led him to running into someone from the past. Who will change his life forever. What do Chris and Fiona share? Will it work? Jump in and find out!
I’ll See You Again, a whirlwind romance. A small town girl and a rockstar. It could never work, right? Nicky, freshly single and running her wedding business, comes across rockstar Mac while visiting her friend Amber’s pub. Instant sparks lead to a wonderful weekend. Unfortunately Mac now needs to return to NYC to rehearse for his upcoming tour. What will they do? Is this the end? What happens when tragedy strikes? Nicky and Mac have a condensed but long road to navigate. Letting the author enrapture you with their story is one thing you need in your life!
A Cold Creek Christmas, brings Amber out of her shell! She despises Christmas and everything that surrounds it. With her preference being Halloween. Until Giovanni & Talia turn her life upside down. She begins to feel again, this story is sweet and made me cry. The author makes me feel everything the characters are feeling. Giovanni, a single father, never expected to have Amber trapezing into his life. An unexpected curveball thrown his way, in his quest to take over his grandmother’s cafe.
All of these books had definite obstacles and I’m glad I read them all. They all pull at the heartstrings of anyone reading them. Book 3 and 5 definitely brought tears to my eyes. I was beyond emotionally invested and I loved every moment!

When I first started reading The Curse of a Faeblood, I wasn’t too sure where it was going. What the author was doing. It took me a few chapters to grasp the story being told. And boy was it a good one. The author definitely sucked me in, I didn’t want to take a break to sleep or go to work.. lol The character development across the two main characters plus some of the supporting characters was interesting to see unfold. Ember, a faeblood, is on the run. Needing to get to the Northern Isles, based on everything her mother told her. Gets caught in a village one day trying to steal a piece of bread. Well she never left despite saying only one night. Jade was so kind taking her in. Allowing her to work off the transgression, but also providing her with food, clothing, shelter, and family. Even amongst all that she knows she’s a danger to her new friends. She knows she needs to move on, but that’s easier said than done. Plus she’s drawn to the one who caught her in the first place. Gavyn, one of the respected leaders in his village. Trains those to fight and stand their own. Contributing to a village that is trying to stay out of the eye of the Red Guard and in turn the Lords of the High Table. At the same time keeping them prepared to ever have to go up against them. Ember stumbles into his life and turns it on its axis. He doesn’t trust her, because she’s a thief. But he can’t look away or get her off his mind. He’s drawn to her like a moth to a light. And despite how cruel his words are towards her he can’t keep her away. Will Ember & Gavyn explore the tension between them? Is Ember’s presence really a threat to the village and the people she’s growing to love? Then there’s the matter of Erik, essentially a trader amongst the mix, or is he? His father is a Lord of the High Table(the Lords all have Faeblood.) intentionally sent to the compound to report back, Erik is on the fence about his responsibilities. He’s not like his father, but he’s spying and reporting back at the same time. Do Gayvn and Xavier learn about the trader in their midst? What are they going to do, when tensions rise with the High Table? Despite my early confusion I will proudly say I haven’t come across a bad book revolving around Fae yet! Though I’m always hesitant when I’m considering reading one. Don’t be me! Don’t hesitate! Just do it! It’ll be worth it!

Interesting. Yeah that’s the best way to describe it coming from me. A Veil of Gods and Kings piqued my interest because of the Greek Mythology vibe running through it. I love Greek/Roman Mythology! I’m also willing to give any author a chance, who is willing to weave that into their books. I was a bit confused with certain aspects in the beginning, but I think that’s because I wasn’t grasping the idea when I started the book. That definitely changed though, the author kept me intrigued. Apollo has no desire to ascend to his rightful deity position. He dislikes the Gods and everything they stand for, especially his father Zeus. He would rather remain among the human world with sister Temi. He dislikes how the Gods take advantage of the mortals and take anything offered despite the mortals suffering & starving. Zeus, fed up with Apollo’s defiance, gives him an ultimatum. He has 1 year to get his mortal life out of his system and ascend. If not Zeus will go after all and everything he cares about, including Temi. During that year Apollo is to be mentored by Prince Hyacinth. To learn how to be a proper deity at ascension and make his fellow immortals proud. Prince Hyacinth, is overseeing his Kingdom while his father is away. The true test to see if he’s ready to lead. Last thing he needs is Apollo hanging around. He’s selfish & arrogant, but he could destroy his kingdom as well. How does Apollo handle his ultimatum? Do Prince Hyacinth & Apollo get past their differences? So many characters and so much story you need to jump in and read it for yourself. This book is definitely for those who would like a different take on Greek/Roman mythology(yes it’s fictitious.) So if that’s your thing this is definitely for you. If this is not your typical thing, could I sway you with exceptional character growth? Especially for Apollo and Prince Hyacinth. It’s worth checking it out all the way around.

Definitely not what I was expecting! Definitely different! I feel like I need to read Blood and ravens again. I really feel like I’m missing something. I read the synopsis and I was like “okay you piqued my interest.” I started reading and my immediate response was “What am I reading?” I liked it, I still feel like I missed part of the story. Greer, kidnapped off the streets of France. Wakes up in a ship destined for New Orleans, to be married off to a man she doesn’t know. Greer has lost time and doesn’t understand what is going on. Till she sees him. A man of mystery and definitely not her betrothed. Theron, exiled to live amongst the humans. Hand picks Greer to be his “little rabbit” aka food. Little does he know she’s into him. She’s conscious and is starting to figure out what’s going on. How vampires feed on the girls that are to be married. He can’t take her life though. He knows every time he feeds he’s making her weak. He just can’t let her go and he can’t figure out why. I enjoyed the Greek mythology theme and twist as the story moved on. Does Theron figure out why he can’t just let go? Does he finally end Greer’s life? Or is there something else lurking in the shadows that shakes everything up? All questions will definitely be answered. I’ve always been vampire obsessed, which was my draw to this book. The author did a wonderful job keeping me interested, I was just caught off guard. I’m rereading it and I think you should read it too! Just go in with an open mind so as not to miss anything.

Unabridged was a wonderful 2nd chance romance. I love how you see the character growth between from before this story started to now. Hometown sweethearts that didn’t last. Well they could’ve if Angelina didn’t make a split decision at the time. Angelina works as a journalist at Unabridged magazine. Little does she know her world is about to be rocked. Excited about her new article she walks straight into her boss’s office saying “You’re going to love me.” Never in a million years did she expect to hear, “I did once.” Coming from none other than that love she left behind, Blade Spencer. Blade Spencer the new editor & chief of Unabridged. Just discovered that the one who got away, the one he has been pining for since she left, now works for him. What are the odds? Is this his 2nd chance at happily ever after. Well not without some speed bumps along the way. How will Angelina and Blade handle their unresolved feelings for one another? The Epic Conclusion to a Fantastic Series! Nite Fire: Exit Strategy is not my favorite book in the series but I still loved it. A series that was definitely different to say the least. I was skeptical about starting this series, but I don’t regret it. Now I’m sad I’m on the 5th and final book. I guess it’s time to start all over again! To get reinvigorated all over again, maybe even coming across something I missed before. Oren has started to wreak havoc on all worlds. Dahlia and her few friends battle officially with him. Will they succeed? Oren seems to easily over power them. Our heroine has also come full circle from book 1. The 1st rip I’m the veil she repaired, was the one from the Chandler house. Now just a million more to go… lol Naalish has taken Alex Creed prisoner. Dahlia has to save him. Will she succeed? So many questions with plenty of answers but you need to read to find out! You need to read all 5 books. It’s definitely worth the time! Now that they sadly ended, it’s time to start over. What do you say will you join this journey over again with me?
Finding Melodie was a sweet & sad story. Melodie helped Issac propose to his girlfriend. Who actually turned him down. This story was about Melody deciding she was going to help Issac get her back. But at what cost to her? She’s falling for someone she can’t have. Repeating the same cycle in her life. The question is what does Issac want? The Wedding reminded me so much of the movie Monster In Law, which I do love! It’s time to meet the parents and get to know them better! Or so Melodie thought. Instead she got an overprotective future mother in law to boot. Cynthia, Issac’s mom, took one look at Melodie and was like “nope not my son.” She made it her mission to prove to Melodie that her relationship was wrong. That she didn’t belong. It’s the way she went about it, as well as finding out she had a mother in law that detested her, at which I come to the movie comparison. It’s a cute romantic boxset with some entertainment to boot. Definitely worth the read!
