Amy McKinley has done it again! This book is absolutely fabulous! This is book 2 of the Mafia Elite Series, but can be read as a standalone. I recommend reading the first book because it’s great and gives you more perspective. This book focuses on Sophia and Enzo. They have obstacles to overcome, but their love is strong. I love this series so far and cannot wait for book 3!

What can I say? It’s Amy McKinley! From the moment I decided to read my first McKinley, I have quickly become fond of her writing style and her ability to lose me in these amazing stories of hers. This is the second book in this series. And I knew instantly after reading No Way Out, that I was going to patiently wait for the second book and read in one night! And that I did!

Enzo and Sofia are close friends since childhood. So when Sofia is threatened by a member of the Russian Bratva, Enzo will do anything to protect Sofia. What will Enzo do to keep her safe? There are amazing twists and turns and such steamy scenes. Bravo!

Blood Oath by Amy McKinley is the second instalment in the Mafia Elite series, following the path of two members of the other Five Families- Sophia La Rosa and Enzo Vitale. Of course, danger follows them wherever they go- and as Enzo and Sophia fight their feelings for each other, it just draws them closer together. I really enjoyed this book. The first book is pretty good, and a recommendation, but to me the second one is a must read! Amy McKinley draws the reader in so well- It was hard to put the book down!

When I tell you I RAN to kindle to read this book after reading No Way Out, it’s hardly an exaggeration. I love the characters in this series. I know mafia families are always close, considering how the men act as a family outside of the mob, but something about the way the families are in books makes me wish I was there.
Blood Oath is the perfect example of two people who were destined to be together with the stupid idea that they can stay apart, coming together! The tension is absolutely delicious. Enzo is an overprotective alpha male who tries to protect Sofia from anything and everything, but that just isn’t possible as a mafia princess. Thankfully, Sofia is more than some damsel in distress.
This book is full of action and will have you on the edge of your seat at the end. If you love mafia romance, you have to read this book!

Love Love Love this story and these characters. I love the story line. Sof might be a girl but she is bada.s.s. tough. I don’t think I have read another female character with her strength. Yes, other characters have had their shares of trouble and heartache but there’s just something about Sofia that I absolutely adore. Enz is tough as well and he knows Sof can take care of herself when she tries. Both are Mafia tough. These two together can’t be stopped.

This is not my first book by McKinley but definitely one of my favorites. This story is book 2 in the Mafia Elite Series. You first meet these characters in the first book, No Way Out, and it should really be read first. The actions of other characters lead up to the actions of Sofia and Enzo.

As with any good series, there are unanswered questions in this book which I expect to be answered in the upcoming books. I look forward to reading those as well.

Once again Amy McKinley puts together a thrilling novel with Blood Oath. She has mastered the ability to continue the overall storyline while focusing on two new characters and building their development. Blood Oath follows Sofia and Enzo and they’re relationship growth from distant friends to so much more all while trying to keep Sofia from Ivan who is part of the Russian Mafia. This book does not have a low moment and I found myself not wanting to stop reading. Blood Oath wraps up the story with Enzo and Sofia but leaves the series open to more books as the five Mafia families change. I cannot wait to read the next installment in the Mafia Elite series.

I actually really appreciated the slower burn and getting to know the characters for who they were aside from the little bit we learned in the first book. I also really enjoyed learning about their history and how it affected them in their current lives. I have always loved Amy McKinley and her books so this is definitely a series I want to continue reading!

I really enjoyed Blood Oath, the 2nd book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. In this installment, we get more to Sofia’s story, the daughter of a mafia boss and up and coming fashion designer. Since childhood, she has been in love with Enzo, a mafia underboss and best friend of her 3 brothers. Sofia becomes the target of a human trafficker and Enzo swears to protect her at all costs. Both are fighting past demons of this same group who previously targeted Enzo’s sister and Sofia’s best friends. This is a fast paced read with a lot of action taking place. I also enjoy I learning more about the Five Families of the Chicago Mafia of this series. There are a number of characters mixed into the book but we are thankfully given a breakdown of the family members at the beginning of the story that I greatly appreciate. I look forward to the next in the series and the next friends to lovers this series introduces us to.

This is the second book in the series. I absolutely loved the first book and was hoping this book wouldn’t let me down. Oh, how right I was. This book isn’t just as good as the first book in this series, it’s better. This is the continuation of the amazing group we met in the first book and really gives the background the two main characters of this book. It does also give you a glimpse into the other characters (I am sure there are more books coming). This has the twists and turns that I have come to love from an Amy McKinley book, but it also has the emotional heart string pulls. You feel for these characters and this book brought me to tears because of the way these two loved each other but were holding back because of outside circumstances. You are constantly wondering if they will ever just say “screw it” and be with each other or will all the rules of the mafia keep them apart. This book has suspense, mystery, action, love, and even humor in it. I felt myself go through every emotion while reading this. If you have ever read a mafia romance book and liked it, you will definitely love this series

This story is a fairy tale romance with a mafia twist. The sparks between Sofia and Enzo are off the charts! They’ve loved each other since they were kids but so many obstacles keep standing in their way. The way that Enzo looks at Sofia and the way that he cherishes her is everything! This book is full of romance, danger, heat and betrayal. It will keep you on your toes and draw you in from the very first page to the last and the ending is absolute perfection! I am an Amy McKinley fan for life after reading the first two Mafia Elite books and I am eagerly looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series centering on Sofia and Enzo’s story in the thrilling world of the Italian American mafia. Sofia and Enzo grew up together, their relationship becoming strained after a few life-altering events that eventually put a rift between them. However, neither can deny the chemistry and unshakable bonds that link not only their day-to-day lives but hearts. Soon their shared past comes back to haunt them and secrets are revealed. Blood Oath filled in some of the few questions I had after reading the first book (No Way Out) and I really enjoyed learning more about the lives these characters live and the rules they live by. Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series though you can read any of the books in the Mafia Elite series as standalones.

Long awaited Book 2 of the Mafia Elite series! I enjoyed the book but not quite as much as book 1. It took me a little longer t get into this book than it did the first one. This is Sofia and Enzo’s story. There were some good laughs throughout the book. You can read this book as standalone but I would recommend reading book one (No Way Out) first.

5 out of 5 stars

I can’t get enough of this series!! Amy McKinley knocks another one out of the park. Nothing hotter than a growly Mafia man attracted to a strong, kickass Mafia woman. Sign me up!

The story picks up with Lil and Max on their honeymoon. Sofia La Rosa is preparing for her big Milan Fashion Week show when Ivan, a psycho Russian Bratva killer, starts tracking her. Sofia knows what he wants and is unwilling to part with the information. When her overprotective brothers ask Enzo, the love of Sofia’s life, to help protect Sofia when she is in Milan for her fashion show, Sofia knows it is a bad idea.

Enzo Vitale is poised to take over the family to become the Don. Enzo can’t seem to move past what he witnessed four years ago when he rescued his sister from the clutches of a human trafficking ring. Since then he has distanced himself from everyone but especially the one matters the most, Sofia. Now she needs his protection from Ivan and the Russians. Will this be his chance to show Sofia that they can be together?

I didn’t want to tear myself away! There is so much action with so many players. I love all the twists and the secret players. Is Katya a friend or a foe? Will Elena ever get to come home? If I wasn’t hooked after the first one, I am definitely hooked now! I love this series.

Amy McKinley has done it again!! I am in awe of this author!! Mafia seems like an easy start to write on, but in reality I have quit reading like 80% of the mafia romance that I start because the characters seem so diluted by desire that there is no personality in the books. McKinley hits the freaking nail on the head with her mix of personality and attraction. First with No Way Out and now with Blood Oath! I am in LOVE!

Following Lil and Max in the first book was interesting, you mostly had no clue what was coming next. Blood Oath though, you know exactly what you want to happen with Sophia and Enzo, but McKinley sure knows how to build her audience and introduce some amazing twists that you can see approaching, but can’t completely pinpoint those suckers!!

Sofia and Enzo have grown up together as children of mafia families. As they have grown, so have their feelings for each other. However, Enzo was promised to another years ago. Their bond has never weakened, though, and they still find themselves waging the war between friends and lovers.
When Sofia’s in danger from an heir to the Russian mob, Enzo will do whatever he can to protect her. He is also tired of fighting his feelings and wants to be with her. But, Sofia drops a bombshell of a secret that can change everything. What will happen when others learn of this secret? And will Enzo be able to get out of the contract to be with Sofia?
This was another good mafia story in this series. The characters are story are both enjoyable. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Allyson Ware

I am addicted to this series. It is nearly impossible to put down one you start reading. As I was reading, it was almost as if Amy McKinley can read my mind because at the beginning/middle of the book I started to think, “I wish I could understand what Enzo thinks of this or that.” I kid you not, barely a chapter later and McKinley dove further into Enzo’s point of view.

I could go on and on about Enzo and Sofia. These two are amazing characters and the drama that surrounds them pulls you in, refusing to let go. Not only are you trapped in the personal drama of their relationship, but the family/mafia drama is intense. I cannot wait to get my hands on Born in Darkness.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley

This is the second book in the Mafia Elite series. I red the first one and have been impatiently waiting for the next installment.
The book starts out showing us a small window of their lives when they were kids. Enzo helped keep Sofia safe, and made a blood oath to her that he would do so for the rest of her life. Living a mafia life, that is a big task. Tragedy makes Enzo pull away and leaves Sofia wondering about what could have been. Sofia finds herself in the line of danger to a very bad Russian mafia man. Enzo comes back to help with her safety.
I love Sofia, knowing her life is always dangerous due to the blood running through her veins, she is not above still sneaking away from her guards to do things like go get coffee. She is definitely a handful. I enjoy heroines that are strong and independent with a big attitude.

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series that I’ve read so far. No way out was so good I had to read the second. I usually don’t like books that don’t really keep the main characters as main characters but I love this series. Sofia and Enzo’s storyline is so good. This is the second book in the mafia elite series and this one completely knocked my socks off. While it is a stand alone book the characters and their interactions make a lot more sense if you read the first book first.
Sophia and Enzo have history a lot of it, but as adults he is contracted into marriage to someone else. Mafia marriages tend to lend them to the best outcome for the families whether it be alliances, money, or power. Enzo just cannot get Sophia out of his mind and knows that as heir to a throne marriage would put her into a dangerous situation. Now Sophia’s well being is being threatened by an outsider who knows she has secrets about Enzo’s missing contracted bride. With Sophia being an up-and-coming fashion designer she jets off to Milan for the fashion show with an entourage of body guards and the hope that she’ll be safer. Only trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes. Will the secrets tear Enzo and Sophia apart? Can Enzo protect Sophia from a madman determined for information? What about Katya, can she even be trusted? Read this book to find out all these answers and more. This is an action-packed page turner that you will get lost in.

Blood Oath: A Friends To Lovers Mafia Romance is book two in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley.

This story kicks off with a bang and never really slows down. There is so much action packed into one book I found it a little hard to keep up at times, I still really enjoyed it though. I had already read the first book in the series, which I’d say isn’t essential but will definitely help you understand a little more when it comes to links between characters.
I loved the main characters. Sofia and Enzo are both strong personalities and there is chemistry between them from the get-go. The author includes flashbacks which not only helped me understand the story better but also the characters. Sofia is such a strong, resilient female lead. Being brought up surrounded by such violence has made her sharp, strong, and fiercely loyal. Enzo needed to match up to this, and he did. I always have a soft spot for a protective bodyguard, and Enzo was no exception.
This was a great second installment to this series.

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley, and a great continuation of this story! I do recommend reading book one ‘No Way Out’ first, since the characters are intermingled in both books.
This story follows Enzo and Sophia, childhood friends.
Enzo, Chicago Mafia underboss, promised to protect Sophia at all cost. Even if it means that they can’t be together like he wants to be. His priority is to keep her alive.
Sophia is an up and coming fashion designer, who is absolutely in love with Enzo and would do any thing for him.
There are so many secrets and so many obstacles keeping them apart. This story has suspense and drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat turning the pages.

I love Amy McKinley’s romance novels, but these Mafia Elite books from her are absolutely amazing and have quickly become one of my favorite series by her. I really love the way she has built suspense and drama with the romance and intrigue of the mafia world in a way that makes you crave it. That is truly the best way to describe it. I literally wait for these novels to hit my kindle like I am waiting for a fix and I love every moment that I get with the characters.

In Blood Oath we get the thrilling second story and the story of Enzo and Sofia. These two light up your kindle with passion and suspense. They have been stalking the line of danger and love since childhood and the story really is one you don’t want to miss. I loved every single second. I cannot wait to see what the next book will bring us!

This story follows Sofia and Enzo in an epic friends to lovers romance. I loved both of these characters so much, they fought so hard for each other during the entire story and I’m so glad they got their ending! I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind. This is the second book in the very addictive Maffia Elite series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are some previous characters in this story as well. I love a good mafia romance but this author always exceeds my expectations. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I was hooked on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the end. I can’t wait to see what this amazing author will write next.

Enzo and Sofia have known each other for a long time. They have been through a lot together since they both live the mafia life. Enzo told Sofia that he would always be there for her but when tragedy strikes they are ripped apart. Sofia is now a clothing designer and she loves what she does. She is approached by someone that says that she is in great danger. Sofia is then pushed into the life she wanted to leave behind but she feels that something is not right. She is face to face with Enzo once again. Sofia still had strong feelings for him but with a target on her back she needs to protect him. Will Sofia find her happy ending or will it be destroyed once again?
