Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters, #4)Blood of the Dragon by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

These series was getting better and better with every book. This is book 4 of the series, and so far, I have no complaints. And this one once again like the others did not disappoint. This book did go back and forth like the others, but it was still easy enough to follow, but it give great insight which is always something that I enjoy. This time Adam and the Relic hunters get a cry for assistance in an abandoned castle in Romania. This had a mix of history and myth all rolled into one. The roller coaster ride in this book was amazing and kept me hooked till the end, I couldn’t put it down. And the twist that the killer ended up chasing them instead was a real heart stopping moment. I would highly recommend these series.

Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters Book 4) by Martin Ferguson is a great adventure series

Adam Hunter and the Relic Hunters arrive at the abandoned Poenari Castle in Romania in response to an urgent cry for assistance. They discover that myth and history mix more than ever in the former residence of Vlad the Impaler, the most notorious mass killer in recorded history. Adam and his group quickly discover that they are the ones being chased rather than the hunters when their deeds bring back a villain long thought to be contained only in stories. Nowhere is immune from the darkness’s pursuit, not even the British Museum. It follows them across the world. They fall one by one until Adam is left to face the terrifying fury of the Blood of the Dragon by himself.

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings passion into your life. I couldn’t put the book down. I have binge read the series at this point and I absolutely love it.

Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters, #4)Blood of the Dragon by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Admittedly I was drawn to the Relic Hunters series originally because of its whimsical and interesting cover art. I truly had never seen anything like it before, and as soon as I read the back cover of the first book, Eagle Of the Empire, I knew I had to read it. I was immediately transported into Adam and Matt’s world with no way out. Before I knew it I had finished the first five books of this legendary adventure.
I have never read a series as captivating as this one, where each amazing book is so much better than the last. The inclusion of history and myths makes Adam and the gang’s story feel almost nostalgic. I adore Adam and really enjoyed getting to deeply know his character. Ferguson is very skilled at developing his characters and their relationships so naturally. The flow between past and present was smooth, I also loved the structure of these books and the use of different perspectives other than Adam. It also helped the flow of the story and helped me see it as a whole.
I really enjoyed Ferguson’s tone with The Relic Hunters series and his inclusion of humor with the action. Each book is my favorite book until I read the next one in this entrancing and intriguing series. Every book had me more on the edge of my seat than the last, audibly gasping at the pages. This Young Adult Series will have anyone at any age coming back for more! I for one can not wait to sink my teeth into the Sixth installment of this series Kingdom Of The Oceans!

What an incredible addition to an already amazing series! This is the fourth book in the Relic Hunters series, and I think this may be my favorite so far. The author shows they have no shortage of ideas and expertly crafts another fast-paced history mixed with legend and fiction read. Adam and his group are in Romania responding to a plea for help, but is it all a trap? They find that they are being hunted and danger, mystery, and suspense ensue. Will they be able to make it through unharmed or is this their last adventure-filled journey together? The one and only thing I could possibly utter a complaint about is that my real-life responsibilities are suffering as I can’t put this book down! Once I pick it up, I am in a trance until I reach the end. Though this is aimed for a YA audience, I thoroughly enjoy each one and am looking forward to the next! I highly recommend this book (and the series) to anyone who enjoys history, myths, legends, and adventures!

Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters, #4)Blood of the Dragon by Martin Ferguson

Relic Hunters: Blood of the Dragon is the fourth part in a series that leaves the reader perched on the edge of their seat at every turn. This time, as with many great works of fiction, vampires have entered the fray, and it is up to Adam and his friends to vanquish this foe that is both known and new.

One of my favorite aspects of this book in particular is that it brings the protagonist (and company, in this case) to the precipice, where it seems that there is no turning back, and yet nowhere to run or hide. Will our heroes live to see another day, or have they finally met their match? Read to find out.

The Relic hunters are back and this time it is Romania. A misplaced dairy from Romania brings a group of mercenaries to England where a professor and the head of the British museum are brutally assaulted. The leader of the museum goes missing and Adam and Emma step in to solve the mystery. When the contents of the dairy are revealed, they decide to go to Romania and the castle in question, the Poenari castle, the former home of Vlad, the Impaler. They find themselves up against evil and darkness once again.
Another adventure filled with suspense, thrill and danger, this book, like its predecessors has the readers on the edge of their seats. I have really come to like Martin Ferguson; his books offer a quick and breezy respite. Keep them coming!

Blood of the Dragons is the 4th book in this amazing series. Personally, I loved this book the best out of all of them. As with the earlier books in the series, the book has action, drama, mystery, and don’t forget the characters! Over the course of the series, the characters have developed and make you care more about them and see how well the team works together to solve things along the way. You will definitely want to read these books in order to get the full effect of the team!

I have read a few books by this author and he continues to blow my mind in this series. This is the fourth book of the addictive Relic Hunters series. You have to read these books in order to understand what is going on. I still can see this series as a Tv show or a mini movie. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end. I can’t wait to see what happens to these amazing characters.

Adam and the Relic Hunters were begged to come to help in Romania. They go to the Poenari Castle where the most known mass murder happened long ago. Adam meets the impaler Vlad and that is when things start to turn dark. Adam never knew that history and myth would go together until this job. The darkness starts to go across the globe and Adam finds himself alone to fight the Blood of the Dragon. Will Adam be able to save his friends and himself or will the darkness take over completely?

Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters, #4)Blood of the Dragon by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book starts at the ruined Poenari Castle in Romania where it is pouring with rain and cold and a small group have gotten past the local armed forces guarding it and have managed to climb the seemingly endless staircase to get to it, it is rumoured to contain the long lost treasure hoard of an infamous Prince, but when they discover a couple of old coins in the ruins as well as an old silver chalice with an unusual engraving, they are hopeful that they will find it, but that is until all the lights go out around them and they are viciously attacked.

Forty years later, a Professor and friend of the leader of the Relic Hunters of the British Museum Charles, start to receive threatening phone calls and letters and their office and house are ransacked, they decide to call Charles and ask for his help, while in a taxi on their way to the museum, they are attacked by a masked man and his mercenaries. They are nearly rammed off the road multiple times, they are peppered with gunfire and when the taxi is finally overturned and they are dragged from it with a gun pressed to their head, just in the nick of time, Adam and Emma of the hunters come to their rescue and take them to the museum after Charles received their messages for aid.

As the trio enter the museum, the Professor is astounded to see the part of the underground area of the Museum they are being led through, but are not happy when they find out that Charles isn’t there, but are happy to find out that the team will still help them. As the Professor explains what the people were after her for, it turns out that it is the diary of one of those attacked in Romania and that she bought through an auction, after it had finally been made public. As its contents are revealed and the location within it are discussed, the team come to a decision to go to the castle in question with the Professor and help them that they will set off there as soon as they are ready, but this is where the danger starts, secrets are revealed and paths cross in a most mysterious way.

This is yet another fantastic installment in the Relic Hunters series and one full of twists, turns, mysteries and action which well and truly sucks you in, but will the Hunters be able to overcome their latest adversary or will this plea for help be one they can’t fulfil?

Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters, #4)Blood of the Dragon by Martin Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Martin Ferguson’s Blood of the Dragon is the fourth book in his Relic Hunters series. The series, aimed at young adults, uses action archaeology with supernatural twists to bring readers exciting adventures that straddle both historical and modern worlds.
Blood of the Dragon concerns itself with Vlad the Impaler, the real historical Count Dracula. When Professor Melissa Moore is nearly killed over some historical texts she has acquired, which hint at where the Impaler’s treasures might be hidden, she turns to the British Museum’s skilled team of Relic Hunters for help on a mission that leads them to Romania, amongst other places.
I particularly like the way the story jumps between the present and the past. Some chapters are set in the modern world, whilst others are set in the past giving an account of Vlad the Impaler’s history from his own perspective. This is entertainingly educational and also builds tension as we wonder what connection this history has to the strange events the team has got themselves caught up with in the present.
I’m happy to give this book five stars – reading it was like watching an action movie (think Indiana Jones, The Mummy etc.). I would recommend it to young history fans, and readers who wish YA vampire stories were a bit less romantic!

Martin Ferguson does it again with Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters Book 4). I love these books so much. I think they are original and unique stories built around legends and myths most of us have grown up with. I haven’t read a one of these yet that I haven’t learned something new. These books never fail to inspire me to do added research. Having said all that, I have done research on Vlad the Impaler, but I missed the whole Ottoman empire thing and the history and geography of Wallachia. Great book, I am for sure a fan.

Four Stars

This is book four in this action packed series. The author has given us so much through these books and I will have to say this one I have enjoyed the most. The characters get put through a lot and you can really see the growth. I liked how the author includes the history into the story. Like it something you’ve heard of but in a different light. We’ve all heard of Vlad the Impaler but now read about him from this authors POV and it makes it interesting. This series is for everyone. Not only for the YA genre. This is the 4th booking the Relic Hunters series and it is just as captivating and gripping as the other 3. I love these books and they have a mystery and also are set with figures from the past bringing history to life. The characters are amazingly written that you can’t help fall in love with them all.

In this story we find the Hunters at the home of Vlad the Impaler. What turns out to be a simple search for some ancient treasure takes a deadly turn when they find a chalice. This seemingly harmless artifact turns into a dark adventure as someone from their past returns with their eye set on claiming that prize.

Will Adam and the team survive this second standoff? Can they solve the mystery that surrounds the chalice? And will any of them survive to tell the true tale of Vlad the Impaler.

This book was definitely one of the more interesting ones to me, and I have found every previous installment very interesting as well. Blood of the Dragon is the fourth thrilling installment in the Relic Hunters series from Martin Ferguson. While you could probably read this as a standalone, I would personally recommend that you read these from the beginning of the series and in order. The Relic Hunters are composed of the same people mostly and their stories flow throughout the series.

I normally don’t’ enjoy much of the young adult books lately but I never have a problem soaking up these novels. They are full of energizing action scenes, well thought out historical ties and facts, and a bit of mystery and danger lurking in every book in this series. This one however was jammed packed and I would have to say my favorite of them so far. I won’t spoil the fun of this one with details that you can’t already get in the synopsis so you will have to devour this and find out what happens for yourself! It is one you don’t want to miss and will not be disappointed with. I am anxious to see where this story will go in future novels.

In this installment the plotline is engaging and it kept me at the edge of my seat. I felt a connection to the characters, as I myself felt like I was right there with them. This story takes place in Poenari Castle in Romania. If that sounds familiar it is the former home of Vlad the Impaler. Adam and the crew are hunting for relic but they themselves are being hunted as well. What is going to happen to Adam and the crew? Will the home of Vlad make things a little more real? Blood of the Dragon is the fourth book in the Relic Hunters series by Martin Ferguson. It is a superb addition to the series and is my favourite of the books, so far.
This is another fantastic young adult adventure- with plenty of action, thrills, drama, mystery, danger, historical details, investigation; while once again giving us a wonderfully complex and engrossing storyline.
I have mentioned before, and will probably do so many more times- but this series would make a really great movie, or TV series- as well as the possibility of an exciting adventure game for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or other gaming system.
There is so much going on in this book- the author reallly upped the ante on this one, really putting the characters through the wringer. I don’t want to give anything away as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Suffice to say that this action-packed adventure kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I really recommend this series to anyone who loves YA, adventure, and history. Even though you could read this as a standalone, I recommend that you read the previous 3 books before starting on this one- as this is definitely a series you won’t want to miss a minute of.
Looking forward to more Relic Hunters adventures!

Thank you, Martin Ferguson!

It is a well developed story that has characters that are connectable and make the story entertaining. I had no problems connecting with them as they made the story realistic and easy to read. Adam and his friends find themselves in another adventure of a fight for their lives. What will happen when they realize that they are the hunted and not the hunters? What happens to Adam and the other Hunter Relics I highly recommend reading this book. I really enjoyed the adventure they took me on.
