Second Chance eX-masSecond Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. She continues to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details. This book is no different. This is a shorter story that is full of the Christmas spirit and second chances. I loved the characters and how they brought the story to life. This is Archer and Ally’s story. They have a past together. They had it all until he left and never looked back. Now that he is back in town, will he realize his one mistake? Ally’s world is about to be turned upside down. What will fate have in store for these two? Is there forgiveness and second chances in their future? I loved this story and the warm fuzzies you get from reading it. This is a great holiday story that I highly recommend. You don’t want to miss this one!

Revel (The Howl Series Book 1) by Alden Elway – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Revel (The Howl Series, #1)Revel by Alden Elway
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I look forward to seeing what more this author has in the future. This is a paranormal story that is fast paced and engaging. It has a little bit of everything in it from romance to mystery. The characters pulled me into the story and kept me turning pages. I had no problem connecting to them as they brought the story to life. This is a story about Revel who is part of a pack where she is controlled and lives in the one place she feels free, the forest. What will happen when hikers turn up missing in her forest? There are rumors that there are wolves in the area, is Revel and her pack in danger? On top of that, she is starting to fall for a human which is forbidden. She has so many secrets. What will happen if these secrets are found out? I really enjoyed this book and found it to be entertaining. I enjoyed the mystery and a few times had me on the edge of my seat. This made such a great afternoon read. I highly recommend this book.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. This is a science fiction story that is entertaining and the characters keep things engaging. This is a well developed story that is fast paced and kept me turning pages to the end. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the first chapter. The characters are connectable and some are full of magic. This is a story about three teenagers that need to accept each other no matter the differences and they all have one goal. There is a boy who doesn’t believe in aliens, then you have an alien that only thinks about Earth and there is a girl who is a robot. Together they learn to fight differences and learn respect for all things. This is a really great story to teach that everyone is different in their own way and that differences are good. The characters made the story fun to read and I highly recommend it to all.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. This is a young adult dystopian story that anyone would enjoy. This is a book that doesn’t normally appeal to me but I am happy that I picked it up and gave it a chance. It is written in a way that it is like two books in one. The first one is about Cam who takes on a sustainable community based on an island. It is a place that is protected from the outside and takes on modern values. The second part of this is about Will. He is faced with trying to overcome personal challenges plus a little romance. What will happen when he travels outside of the protected communities? Will he find his love and maybe other communities like he lives in? This book talks alot about environmental situations and what goes into building an eco friendly community. I learned a little bit when reading this book and I am happy I picked it up. I highly recommend this book.

Will Christmas magic be on her side? I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life and made it feel realistic. It is a shorter story but it was well done and easy to read. This is a box set of the first three books in the Chase Securities Series. This is a series with the Chase brothers and other former military officers who make up Chase Securities. Each book features a story of romance, suspense and action. They each have a different story plot and bring something different to each couple it features. I enjoyed the character development in each book and the chemistry with each couple is of the charts. I have read all three of these books and enjoyed each one. The best thing about a box set is that you don’t have to wait for the next book to be published. I highly recommend this box set, you won’t regret picking it up.

Cemetery Tour: A Walk Through the Old Yard by Stuart Ledwith – Review by Bobbi Wagner

I enjoyed this book.  This is a collection of ghost stories that are surrounded by Riverside Cemetery or Old Yard as some say.  They are around the 1800’s when people were in search of the American dream.  Each story is unique and interesting.  They are entertaining and draw you in.  They give you a different view of this time in history.  This is a little different book that I normally read but I did really enjoy the ghost stories.  I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this Christmas story. This is a sweet, heartwarming Christmas story that is written with a lot of heart and soul. The characters brought the story to life as they go through these emotions. I had no problems connecting with them. They pulled in me right from the beginning. This is Kinsley and Brysen’s story. Kinsley has been waiting a long time for Brysen to come home. She thought she just needed to wait a little longer until she got a phone call that would change things. Brysen is a pilot that has flown in some dangerous situations but this last one may be the most dangerous of all. What will happen next with them is for you to find out. This is a shorter story that I read in one sitting but it is that enjoyable. This was a great Christmas story that reminds you of the spirit of Christmas. I highly recommend this book.
