The Sound of SilenceThe Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a new author for me and I loved this first book. I can’t wait to read more from her in the future. This is a dark romance suspense story that I had a hard time putting down. There is something that can be triggers but if you get past those you will find a really awesome story. I was pulled right into the story by the characters. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride just waiting to see what would happen next. Gianna is a woman that has been broken in more than one way. With a determination to survive she runs from her abusive husband. Then she runs into Derek. He can’t seem to stay away from her no matter how broken she is. Will he show her another way of life? I loved Gianna’s character. She is such a strong person and she shows that with everything she has gone through. I loved their chemistry and how they brought the story to life. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The boy must keep the troll’s secret so he offers him a gift. But will he be the one to get a gift? Will he learn the gift of joy? This is a story of Christmas spirit and learning the meaning of that. This is a great folklore that any child would enjoy. I highly recommend this book.

This is my first book by this author, I look forward to reading more from her in the future. I enjoyed this young adult story. They are connectable and made the story an emotional roller coaster ride. This is a story about Wes who is nothing like his brother but when his brother dies in an accident, his life changes. This is where things really change for Wes and he turns to food for comfort. Will he take control over his life and problem before it is too late? Will he be able to repair the damage done to family and friends? Will he find himself in the process? This really is a great story that was easy to read and engaging. I highly recommend this book.
