Breaking Traditions. The Shifter And The Mage. By Madilynn Dale.
A lovely wholesome story. Breaking Traditions is about two people (A Shifter and a Mage) from different walks of life, who society doesn’t want together, with a little bit of magic thrown into the mix., however they have a different perspective. I think the characters are very relatable and people you feel like you would enjoy being around in real life. Madilynn has done a fantastic job with this book I look forward to reading more of her work.

In short, this book is a traditional love story of young love which blossoms and meets the scorn of the elders which is told in a different way in a different world. Natalie is a shape shifter who can transform into a wolf. She belongs to a traditional family who want her to follow the traditions. She is engaged to another shapeshifter, Theo, who is now her ex. Everything is in order according to Natalie’s parents. Their obedient daughter is bright, helps them in the bakery and is about to be engaged. They want nothing but a happy predictable future for her. But Natalie’s fate is entwined with a Mage, Alex whom she meets in college. They both meet at a party and sparks fly between them. They are drawn towards each other much to the disdain of Natalie’s parents. Will Natalie and Alex be able to break traditions for their love? Would they be able to mend the broken relationship with her parents? This forms the crux of the story. In Eastern culture, we come across this saga a lot more. Breaking the barriers of the society demands a heavy sacrifice. I could relate to the struggle of Natalie and Alex quite easily. It is a very easy read and keeps the reader engaged till the end. Hope to see more from this author.

Breaking Traditions: The Shifter And The Mage by Madilynn Dale is a sweet paranormal teen love story. Whilst the story is well written, and the plot is good, but it didn’t grab me as well as it could have. It needs more drama or action to give it that something more. The premise is a shifter and has her parents pushing her towards marriage. Alex is a Mage and works his way into her heart but is it enough for the staunch shifter community and where does it all fit with Natalie’s want of a different life?

I found Breaking Traditions a great story. Madilynn Dale has a great mind for detail. Her description paints a beautiful picture that I could see in my mind’s eye. Her characters are fully developed. I found that this story has some twists and turns which enhanced the story. I found myself asking if I could break my family tradition or do what I want to do to be happy. Those is the questions for Natalie. She wants to own her own bakery one day, but her parents want her to be a stay at home mom. She falls in love with Alex, but as a shifter, she needs to follow her traditions. What will Natalie do? Will she follow her heart or her family traditions? I highly recommend this book to find out the answers to these questions and more.

Breaking Traditions: The Shifter and The Mage is an amazing paranormal, romance novel by Madilynn Dale. Natalie wants nothing more than to have her own bakery business but unfortunately, her parents don’t share in her dream. In a perfect world, they would want Natalie to be a perfect stay at home mom. The main issue with that is her parents want her to be with her ex Theo. Natalie struggles to be true to her shifter heritage but also wants to be happy with her life. Then enter Alex, the mage. Natalie’s wolf side feels drawn to Alex, but this of course is against the shifter tradition. Alex begins falling in love with Natalie but feels that she isn’t being truthful with him. I almost felt bad for Natalie as she struggled through her life. She wants to please her family, she wants to live as a shifter, but she also has dreams of her own. Then I felt bad for Alex too because all he wants is to be with Natalie but he feels like there is something getting in the way of them. Throughout the whole novel, I just wanted the two of them to be happy. The author did a wonderful job with both the paranormal aspects of this novel as well as the romantic ones. I definitely recommend reading this book!

This is a lovely supernatural romance bout 2 people from different species falling in love and the obscales they face.
Natalie is a shifter and according to shifter traditions she has to marry a strong shifter with a good job to take care of her. However Natalie has other ideas and when she meets Alex all those traditions don’t exist.
Alex is a Mage. He is a very hard working young man who falls head over heels for Natalie but will that be enough?
Can Natalie and Alex break traditions to be together or will Natalie be forced to stick to dating her own kind? Who says that love knows the different that are between species and should that difference matters when you cant choose who you fall in love with.

I really enjoyed reading Breaking Traditions: The Shifter and The Mage by Madilynn Dale. Natalie, a shifter, is just starting college, getting to know her roommate, and getting used to living in a dorm. She broke off a long term relationship with her ex before college. Early in the semester Natalie meets Alex, a mage, and feels a connection to him she has never experienced before.
Natalie’s family has always followed their shifter traditions. Although Natalie understands her parents expectations, she feels pulled to be an independent woman with different views. A wonderful coming of age type story I couldn’t put down.

Breaking Traditions: The Shifter and The Mage by Madilynn Dale is a paranormal romance with shifters, magic, fantasy, and a little drama. This is the second book of Ms. Dale’s that I have read, and is definitely my favourite (so far). Natalie comes from a long line of shifters. Her parents hold tight to the long-held traditions of their family and shifter community. They push her to get married and start a family as soon as possible. Natalie has other ideas- she dreams of living her own life, opening her own bakery, and forging her own way. Things get interesting when she meets Mage, Alex, who soon turns her life upside down. Tensions mount when her family discover Alex is a Mage- adding some drama to the story. Can Natalie break the strong traditions of her family/shifter community and follow her heart? Will Alex and Natalie find a way to be together? A sweet paranormal romance.

I liked the idea of the story but I struggled with the delivery. There seemed to be too much filler or may be idle story. I don’t need every second of the day nor do I need overlaps of conversations. With that being said the idea was great and I loved it. The two species getting together and her family not wanting to accept him was good. The addition of turmoil was good but I wish there was more. The ending was cute. Overall an ok story. With more character development and a few other changes and it could shine.

I enjoyed this paranormal shifter story. It is a story about breaking traditions and doing things your way. This is a well developed story that is engaging and keeps me turning pages. I had no problem connecting to the characters as they brought the story to life. Natalie is a woman who is expected to find her mate and stay home and raise her children but she has something else in mind for her life. When she meets Alex, there is something about him that calls to her but there is a problem. Alex is not part of a traditional family. Will she give her heart to him? He has fallen for her but he is not sure how she feels. What will fate have in store for these two? They are strong characters that make this story easy to read. Their chemistry is awesome and I found myself hoping they would find a way to be together. I highly recommend picking up this book.

Breaking Traditions: The Shifter And The Mage By Madilynn Dale 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Breaking Traditions: The Shifter And The Mage by Madilynn Dale. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Natalie and Alex. Natalie is a young woman who is a shifter and dreams of operating a bakery. She is intelligent, independent, and kind. She also comes from a family that follows traditions even if what they want is the opposite of what Natalie wants. Alex is a mage who falls for Natalie from the first time that they meet. He finds himself with an unusual bond to her. Will Alex and Natalie be able to break traditions to be together? It seems that there is a lot stacked against them. What does the future hold for Natalie and Alex? Read this book to find out. I love paranormal stories and this book is a good example of the reason why. The author makes the characters come alive. When reading the book, I felt like I was right there with them. There are other additional characters that I loved reading about who are friendly and helpful to both Alex and Natalie. The story has heartwarming moments as well as romantic ones as well. Don’t miss out on an entertaining story that you won’t want to put down until the ending page. I highly recommend reading it.

Natalie is a college freshman with dreams of operating her own bakery one day despite her parent’s wishes. Her parents follow the old ways, a shifter society going back generations, and would prefer her paired up with her charming ex Theo. They appreciate her help with their bakery but wish to see her seek the life of a pampered stay at home mom whose primary focus is on raising babies. They don’t take into consideration her feelings.
Natalie’s world is flipped upside down after she meets Alex, a mage with a unique ability. Her wolf calls to him, but can she break tradition and allow herself to love him despite societal expectations?
Alex is a mage living in an unimaginable world. Growing up in a non-traditional family, he is more optimistic and open-hearted. He meets Natalie and falls head over heels, but does she feel the same? He feels an unusual bond with her, but gravity seems to be against them. Is she hiding something? Why does she push him away?
Can the two break tradition and have the love of their lifetimes?
