Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series, I love that each book can totally get away with being a stand alone read but reading them all together in order has been a true treat. Getting able to see more depth and growth within the Broderick Coven family as each book continues has been a treat for those following along. In this continuation of the series we follow Carter Broderick a doctor/healer and one of the more critical and skeptical of the Broderick Siblings since finding out about their families lines and Vanessa Rayne who meets Carter after taking her neighbor in for a nasty infected bite. Steamy and fantastic, Highly recommend this book and this series!

Wow I loved this continuation into the Broderick Coven Series! This book can be triggering so please check trigger warnings. But I absolutely loved following Max Broderick and Claudia and her daughter Katia. There were so many tender moments of healing and it felt therapeutic just to read in my opinion. I love AJ Renee’s world building and these stories surrounding the Broderick clan and this book only continued and added to my awe. Highly recommend this book!

So glad I made this happen because these books are everything I wanted them to be! I love a good paranormal storyline and this is really serving us some fantastic world building and plot! We follow the main characters of Ethan Broderick and Serena High Priestess of the Coven. Absolutely loved watching these two develop and grow together! Absolutely fantastic and highly recommend this series!

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Renee. Cursed Luck is a great book and so far the best of the series. The Broderick Coven Series is an amazing series.

Edward is the one of seven and the last to find his mate. Not sure if it’s in his luck but his mate has been found. He meets her at Ethan’s wedding and isn’t allowed to bail. The quote I chose for Edward is: “Nope. I was genuinely curious as to what adjective you’d come up with. I’m kind of all out.”

Mia has always kept to herself. Then she’s invited to Serena’s wedding and meets her mate. She wasn’t sure if she could trust him. The quote I chose for Mia is: “There are so many of you, I’m not sure I’ll ever get it straight. Then again, I’ll probably never see most of them again.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Witch lovers.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carter Broderick aka Dr. Tingles as Vanessa Rayne refers to him. Their love story is sweet, steamy, and very quick to develop. Carter is one of the seven Broderick Brothers who is still learning about his family’s magical powers and his healing powers. Vanessa is a carefree, business owner who makes jewelry. Not realizing that their paths have already crossed when Vanessa brought her neighbor into the ER, Carter stumbles into Vanessa’s shop for a gift.
Their first date does not go as well as either of them anticipated and ends in a fight. But they both soon realize that they are sole mates. Their love story is magical, sweet, and moves rather quickly but it is VERY steamy.
This book was probably my favorite of the series. It definitely lives up to the hype and hope the this series continues.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love these characters and the whole Broderick family. Author AJ Renee keeps me entertained with sassy and sweet characters and with plots that roll smoothly.

Vanessa Raine is a single woman that believes she is seeing things. She knows she isn’t crazy but she just can’t believe the things she sees. And the fact that no one else is seeing these things makes her wonder what is really going on. Carter Broderick is a witch learning his untapped powers. And his day job of being a doctor allows him to practice his healing touch. However, he doesn’t know what he’s missing until he meets Vanessa. The way these two grow together is sweet, sexy and oh so good.

These books do need to be read in order and Cursed Touch is book 4. I definitely recommend this series. Bonus: I love the blurb for the next book, waiting patiently!

Very frequently when you reach book three in a series the story line can become tired. AJ Renee does a great job of spicing up this third instalment and taking the reader into the most turbulent story so far!

When Max Broderick, a witch veterinarian who can speak to his clients, feels the pull to the woods to attend to an animal in need he doesn’t expect to meet his mate. Claudia, a werewolf, has lived in a world with nothing but violence and mistreatment for the last eight years. Max’s patience and affection for Claudia and her daughter Katia slowly wear down the last of her reserves to become full mates.

I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to the next.

AJ Renee once again knocks it out of the park! I just can’t get enough of this author and every time you think a book can’t get better than the last, it happens. This fourth instalment takes us into the life of Carter Broderick, a witch whose skill lies in healing. As a doctor he uses his skills daily and when Vanessa, a human, brings a neighbor into the hospital, there is a compelling connection that neither can deny.

I really enjoyed this book and devoured it quickly. I loved the concept of the two worlds, human and supernatural, colliding. I am really looking forward to more from AJ Renee.

Usually when I get to the 4th book in a series I’m kind of just reading it because my OCD about finishing things is compelling me to….. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH CURSED TOUCH. Renee does it again. She takes two characters and a story line and just propels it out of this world with her creativity.
Even though this isn’t my favorite of the Broderick Brothers I was still extremely invested in this story.
Who would have thought that your neighbor’s bad luck could end up being your *right place at the right time*.

A.J. Renee does it again in this, the 4th installment of the Broderick Coven Series. Carter, the doctor in the family and like all the siblings, has a special skill that drew him to his profession, a healing touch.

Until he meets Vanessa, jewelry designer and business owner… Carter had not found much other than medicine to devote himself to. Vanessa’s creativity and curiousity lead them both into adventure and danger at every turn. Joined by all the siblings and the Alumbra Pack, just like each A.J Renee book, I am rooting for the heroes to win the day.

Great character development and interesting turns, I really enjoy this authors storytelling.

Claudia never knew a kind soul, and after a decade in captivity, abuse and confinement had become the norm. Until faced with the thought of her daughter living the same existence, and then Claudia escaped with Katia running towards something, a whisper of kindness.

Max, found her the same way.. by listening. Another of the Broderick Coven strengthening his mystical skills, he spoke to Claudia in her Werewolf form, quieting her trauma and letting the Siblings do what they do best, band together to make things right.

I very much appreciated the careful way A.J. Renee dealt with trauma and the hopeful healing Claudia went through. The nod in the front of the book linking to the National Human Trafficking hotline is well done by the author.

Join Max and Claudia as they find romance, and the rest of the Broderick clan, Bishop Coven and the Alumbra Pack, in this paranormal adventure, Book Three of the Broderick Coven!

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carter Broderick is a man who can heal, he has been doing it for years both as a doctor in the human world and the magical world as well, as a young man, he felt like an alien and like he never fit in, but he is thankful for it now. Vanessa Rayne is a woman with her own jewellery business and shop where she sells it, she is also very independent and full of fire.

One day, Vanessa is coming home after a long day when she hears grunting coming from nearby, however, when she realises that it isn’t her neighbour’s nightly antics and that it is actually another of her neighbours trying to get up the stairs in pain that she rushes to help him, he says that it is a dog bite, but his leg is covered in blood and he is barely conscious, but she manages to get him back down the stairs and into her car so that she can take him to the ER. When she arrives there and he starts convulsing, she rushes inside and shouts her need for help, fortunately, there is a doctor at the front desk who comes to help her. Carter hears her cries for help and rushes to the car and starts healing the man in his arms after asking the woman with him to wait outside, when he gets to the stage when he can hand over to another person for treatment, Carter escapes to the bathroom to recover from the drain on his magic, which means that it wasn’t just a normal dog bite.

The next day Vanessa is trying to figure out what happened with her neighbour and the mysterious doctor, she doesn’t believe that it was just top notch medical care, but something else entirely, it isn’t the first time, she has seen something unusual and when she goes to check up on him, she sees something else and keeps seeing things, but when she mentions it to her friends, they look at her like she is crazy. A few days pass and she runs into the mysterious doctor again, this time they even exchange names and numbers, but someone else has been looking for her too, but this person isn’t going to let her escape that easily, she has been poking around in something she shouldn’t have and it is now coming back to haunt her.

As they start to spend more time together, Vanessa and Carter cannot deny their attraction to each other, but when strange things keep happening to Vanessa, Carter realises that he will do anything to protect her, but will she let him, or will her independent nature stop her from accepting his help, but as secrets and revelations pile up, will they be buried, or can they dig themselves out from underneath them all? This is a romance with a hint of danger and a sprinkle of magic throughout which will keep you completely engaged with the story all the way up to the end.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven series, and it lives up to its prior books hype. Cursed Touch is about Carter Broderick, a man who has magic in him and his family, but has only ever used it to heal others, as he is a doctor. All of his siblings around him have found their partners, but he doesn’t believe it’s in the cards for him. However, when Vanessa brings her neighbor to a hospital he happens to be at for the day, he comes to find magic is the least of his worries. Vanessa is a beautiful young woman who owns her own jewelry store full of her own creations. Sure she barely pays her rent, but she’s happy living a life full of happiness and independence. However, lately, in her town, she’s been noticing some odd occurrences that are really starting to make her feel crazy. When Carter comes into her life, her independent lifestyle gets challenged and her crazy is anything but. Can they figure things out for themselves and together? Or is it just too much to handle? I recommend this book for anyone who knows how important it is to be able to handle things on your own, and what a challenge it is to have to work someone else into the picture. Anybody who loves romance, magic, and a little edge would love this book like I do.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven Book 4) by AJ Renee

Another fantastic read by Renee. I come back to this author and this series every time there’s a new book. The Broderick Coven Series is an amazing one at that. This is the fourth book in the series.

Vanessa is a normal human, but she’s not like the rest of them in town. She knows something is off with people in town, but doesn’t want to make herself sound crazy. Then she finds herself attracted to Carter. The quote I chose for Vanessa is: “Wait? How does it work? Like, are we talking we can communicate telepathically, or you’re going to know I secretly hated Georgia for six months when she dated my crush?”

Carter hasn’t found his soulmate yet and he’s not sure if he wants to. He’s seen what his siblings have gone through with theirs and he isn’t sure he can handle all that. When Ethan confirms it Carter gets scared. The quote I chose for Carter is: “I care about you more than I have any other woman. It’s absurd, considering how little time we’ve known each other. I may not be able to explain what’s brought us together, and I can admit it used to terrify me, but I don’t want to lose you. If you decide all of this is too much, I’ll respect your decision. But know this now, I won’t walk away until I know you are safe.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Witch Romance lovers.

The siblings have discovered that they come from a family of witches and that they all have powers. Each book centers around a sibling as that sibling learns more about their powers. This book is about Max Broderick. He has the gift of hearing animals’ thoughts and talking to them in their head. This comes in handy when he meets an injured werewolf. I have really enjoyed this series and enjoyed this book as well. But an important note – there is a trigger warning for anyone affected by rape or sex trafficking. This book was also pretty graphic in the sex scenes. I still enjoyed watching Claudia overcome all that she had been through as well as meeting her adorable daughter Katia. Carter is one of the 7 Broderick siblings. Vanessa is a talented jewelry maker with her own shop. They meet when Vanessa helps a neighbour get to the hospital where Carter just happens to be consulting and runs into her. Sparks fly when they meet (literally!). I love both characters and think they are really good together.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that despite the fact that they were fated mated, neither Vanessa nor Carter took that for granted. Vanessa didn’t let Carter get away with anything, and Carter tried to get to know Vanessa for who she was and tried to build a real relationship instead of assuming fated meant easy.

I have not read the other books in this series, and I think I will go back and read them as the other characters and their stories intrigued me. I also feel like I would understand a bit more if I had read the other books first… I did feel like I was missing some background information. Despite that, you can still enjoy this book as a standalone.
