My Free Life: Prequel to the Brothers of Camelot and also book three in the My Life Series written by Necie Navone. This is the story that pretty much has it all. And the best part is the strong female lead Aless. She’s now the Capo Donna and it’s all about to go down for the last time, she’s done she wants out and she wants her own life away from it all. It’s her turn. With family drama reaching an all time high. Aless is smart, strong, and dangerous. This was a great beginning to the Brothers of Camelot.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1)

Necie Navone spins a wonderful tale about coming of age in a crime family. My Hidden Life begins the tale of Alessandra, the Princess of the Canzano crime Family. Alessandra has always known that she would one day take over her family’s “business”. Although she was introduced at an early age to the violence that can be her family’s world, Alessandra tries her hardest to just be normal. Necie Navone grabs the reader from page 1 with this book and doesn’t let go until the end. I enjoyed the richness of the characters and following Alessandra on her journey. Ms. Navone paints a realistic and often brutal world but gives emotion and depth to her characters that make them jump off the page. I am looking forward to reading more from this fabulous author! Don’t wait! Pick up this awesomeness now!!

Necie Navone was a completely new author to me when I first picked up ‘The Only One’ which is the first book in the Brothers of Camelot series that ‘My Hidden Life’ is the prequel to. I would recommend that you read both of these before you jump into the rest of the series. These are the type of books that are going to need to be read in the right order to make sense, but don’t worry it will be worth it! Necie Navone is one wickedly good story weaver!

There is a lot, and I do mean a lot, going on in this book. We get to know all about Alessndra Canzano or more commonly reffered to as Aless, in this book. We start off when she is very young but grow right along with her as she comes into age and her role as the next in line to take over the family name and “business”. The thing is… this is not your average family “business”. Not only will her life be at stake but all those that she holds near and dear will be in danger too. Can she keep her life hidden? There really is a lot more layers. From action, violence, even some romance, not a lot but a bit, and I think that there will be more to come in the next installment that we will get with her story. That one is the ‘My Tragic Life’ and it is available so I am planning to go start that one as soon as I finish this review. I can’t wait! Thanks for another great read!

This really was a beautifully written story. This is the second book that I have read by this author but this first in this prequel series to the Brothers of Camelot. I really enjoyed reading Alessandro’s story even it was emotional at times. I enjoyed reading her journey of how she became the woman I read about in The Only One. The author’s detailed writing enabled me to be fully invested in the story. I am really looking forward to the next one in the series to find out more about these great characters!
