So delightful! Byrd Nash has done it again with the third installment of the Ghost Talker series. I absolutely love her writing style! It is easy to follow and captivating from the start. This installment is no different than the last as far as intrigue and entertainment. Great cunning and humor as well as romantic intrigue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Stories series, and it’s my favorite so far! I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series because the storyline continues with each installment. It was a rather quick rollercoaster of a read and found myself wanting more as soon as it ended. I admire Elinor so much with her wittiness and determination having a strong presence in this book more so than the others. If you are new to the Gaslamp fantasy genre, this is definitely the best to start with. The detective feel throughout the story definitely has a Sherlock vibe, and I love it. I cannot wait to dive into the next book series!
Spirit Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Mysteries series. I have been thoroughly enjoying this series of ghostly mysteries so it’s a treat to read another book! In Spirit Guide, Elinor is brought in to help find a missing woman whose disappearance may have something to do with the Morpheus Society which trained Elinor (and has recently saddled her with a troublesome apprentice, Twyla).
I read the first couple of books out of order (I love food-themed books so couldn’t resist Delicious Death!) but I’d recommend reading the series in order, starting with Ghost Talker, to get to know the characters and see them develop over time.
This is an exciting mystery with fascinating paranormal elements. Elinor’s earlier forays into the Beyond have opened up possibilities that were not previously considered. While Twyla lacks control over her abilities, she does seem to have a natural inclination which proves both dangerous and useful.
This book gets five stars from me! Thoroughly engaging and entertaining. I’d recommend it to fans of gaslamp fantasy and anyone who enjoys a mystery and a ghost story.

I’ve read the previous selections in this series and each book is packed with more mystery, ghosts and detective work for Madame Chalamet, who is part spirit guide and detective. Madame Chalamet and her companion, Archambeau, use their skills to help find some kidnapped girl of a nobleman. As you read each page, you become lost in its vivid illustrations bringing back in time to this “steampunk” atmosphere. It is highly suggested to read these books in sequence to get a better understanding of background and characters. Each book has a different mystery that unfolds. Another bonus is that Madame Chalamet is shown as such a strong female lead character and this a quick mystery read!

Spirit Guide: Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries by Byrd Nash. This is the third installment in the Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series and I just loved it. It picks up right where the last one left off so I do recommend reading them in order. Elinor and Tristan continue to grow their relationship and solve crimes together. After Elinor’s dad is murdered she is trained as a medium so she works with local officials to solve crimes. In this mystery they are looking for a missing nobleman’s daughter who was researching the mysterious Morpheus Society. The more Elinor and Tristan look into this society the more strange things happen. A high ranking member of this society ends up doing really bad things between the realms. Will they be able to find the missing girl before she’s gone forever or before someone else disappears? Such a fun read. Love this series!
I thoroughly enjoyed “Spirit Guide: Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries” by Byrd Nash! The story is a delightful blend of gaslamp fantasy, mystery, and ghostly intrigue, set in the charming coastal city of Alenbonné.
Elinor Chalamet, the protagonist, is a feisty and clever spirit guide with a knack for communicating with the dead. Her unique skills are put to the test when a nobleman’s daughter goes missing, and she’s tasked with finding her. The investigation is complicated by a bumbling apprentice, a drunken soldier, and a stubborn nobleman who refuses to share information.
The world-building is rich and immersive, with a vivid description of the city’s atmospheric streets, markets, and landmarks. The characters are well-developed and complex, with Elinor being particularly well-written. Her banter with her friends and allies is witty and entertaining, making her a relatable and endearing protagonist. My favorite quip was when if Nikolas brought the sandwich back with a pickle, he would “need tongs to remove it from your throat!”

Spirit Guide was another book greatly written by Byrd Nash. The world building and character building was great. I do recommend reading the first 2 books before this one. The detailing was good in the book. This was a page turner for me.
Spirit Guide is book 3 in the wonderfully written Madame Chalalmet Ghost Mysteries series by Byrd Nash. I had fallen in love with this series from book one, and I’ve just become addicted to this author! I definitely recommend reading these in order, this one has a lot of answers we’ve been waiting for. Don’t let that fool you though, this one will ALSO leave you with tons of questions! I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the next in the series, Grey Lady is calling my name!

Byrd Nash has done it again!!! Spirt Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Mysteries series, and again a book that I could not put down. Elinor and Tristian are again needing to work together. Girls are missing and, in the city, where ghosts are real, anything is possible. Seeing Elinor grow with her ability in each book truly makes that much more of an impact. Also seeing the connection with Tristian, her duke, grow makes the read so much more too. Byrd Nash again shows us her writing style is amazing and the world she has created is so vivid. As a reader I want to be able to close my eyes and see the characters, see the world created and I can when I sit and read this series. You are given so much from twists and turns, to ghosts, and also Elinors quest to find her dads killer! WELL DONE and can not wait to read the next I the series.

I love this series and am always excited to see what kind of trouble the Duke and Madame Chalamet find themselves in. Byrd Nash did not disappoint this reader. The storyline kept me on my toes and I could not put this story down. In this book, Chalamet helps the Duke solve a mystery about missing women and the Morpheus Society’s involvement. Their relationship finally evolves to more than just friendship and I am very excited to see where this love grows in the future! On to book 4…

Spirit Guide is the third book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series. Elinor finds herself solving yet another mystery with Tristan. This time the daughter of a baron is missing. When Tristan comes to Elinor for help she is all too eager to help. Unfortunately, The Morpheus Society may have something to do with the missing woman. I enjoyed this installment of the series. The addition of Twyla to the group of Elinor, Tristan, and the others adds some different energy and comedy. The plot is again well-written and engaging, The mystery keeps you guessing. I love the many laugh-out-loud moments. We are getting to see a little bit of movement with Tristan and Elinor which is lovely to see. I like Twyla and Elinor together. Twyla is frustrating but sweet and cares a lot about what Elinor thinks. This was a great addition to the series.

This is the third book in this series, and I highly suggest you read book 1 and 2 first as the character development tells a lot throughout them. As I have read this series, it has reminded me of reading the Nancy Drew books as a child. Each book is connected, but with its own story. Elinor takes on an apprentice who is inexperienced in this book, and of course, we have Tristan the Duke de Archambeau with us as well. I love how Elinor and Tristan work well with each other except when Elinor doesn’t listen to Tristan. That brings a funny side to the story. The mystery to this book was a bit darker than the other 2 books, but overall, it was still a great read.

This one is good but not written with the same flair as previous books. It kept me interested and engaged but this one I struggled with and more than once and just flipped forward past all the narrative. That did not bother me at all and I was able to keep up with the story. I thought this would be thrilling with Madame Chalamet have an apprentice. It was good but the girl is more of an irritant than a good addition to the story. I was expecting hi-jinks in regards to her but it was more serious.
Overall its an okay story. Not my favorite in the series. That sensual tension between the Duke and the Madame is palpable.

This is the second book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series, but this can be read as a standalone if you want. I enjoyed the first book as well, so you’ll likely circle back to enjoy more of this fantastic writing! The author expertly crafts a mysterious adventure with phenomenal characters. It feels like you get to experience the story instead of just standing on the outside looking in. I love the flow of the story because it’s so natural that it sucks you in and never lets go. The main character is a strong, determined woman that is sure to be an inspiration to everyone that picks this book up. If you enjoy the Sherlock Holmes adventures, you will absolutely adore this book (and series). I highly recommend this book if you enjoy suspense stories with an incredible cast trying to solve an unbelievable paranormal mystery!

I’ve read the first book in this series and enjoyed it! I was very much looking forward to the continuing story. Just as in the previous, there is a strong female detective lead in this story as well. Elinor is in the midst of the holiday season and is looking forward to enjoying its festivities. Then the mystery of poisoning the King happens and it is up to Elinor to find out who could have committed such a heinous act. The story keeps you so captivated by its illustrious steampunk atmosphere, delving into detective work in sorting out through possible suspects and some twists and turns. It is such an enjoyable quick read and I look forward to reading more by Nash!

Delicious Death is the second book of six in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series by Byrd Nash. This has been said before, but Elinor is very much like a female Sherlock Holmes. I find myself enjoying Elinor and even the Duke a little more this time around. They are both really growing on me. I love how her character is so well written. I truly feel like I would get along with her in real life! I enjoyed seeing Elinor’s character showing a softer side where she just wants to relax and be a lady. I felt this was a very quick and easy read and you don’t have to read the books in order to keep up. But I am definitely excited to continue this journey into book three. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical romance mystery with some ghosts thrown in!

I adore Elinor! We are now in book 2 of the Madame Chalamet Mysteries series, Delicious Death. When Elinor attends the King’s Winter Feast, someone makes an attempt on the King’s life. Elinor, Dr. Charlotte, and Tristan try to find the culprit. This book has the same wit and fun as the first book. We get to see more of the friendship between Dr. Charlotte and Elinor. We also see more of the slow-burn romance between Tristan and Elinor and the issues that their class difference may cause. This is a well-written continuation of the series and can be read as a stand-alone story.

Reading this book series is like watching Perry Mason and I love it. The developing relationship between Madame Chalamet and Duke de Archambeau is amazing. A lot of books of this genre tend to have the main characters falling into bed immediately and I like this teaser slow burn going on. It was obvious in the beginning that there was attraction so it is nice to see it starting to go somewhere. As for the plot line of the rest of the story I was pleasantly surprised to find out who “did it”. I can’t wait to read the next one.

What does every busy career woman want…. just a brief moment to themself, and unfortunately Elinor can’t seem to catch a break! This is the question Elinor seems to be asking herself as she and her friend Charlotte head to the countryside for a few days of r&r. It seems to be that Elinor finds herself in a predicament and that is when a funny…. not so funny thing happens on the way to this place of rest and relaxation. Elinor finds herself in a situation doing what she does best, getting into other people’s business to try to solve the mysterious death that has fallen in the path of her restful days. Elinor finds an irritating individual in her way and the Duke is making sure that he tries to solve the mystery before Elinor has a chance to! Byrd Nash is a new author for me, and she didn’t disappoint one bit! I found myself lost in the world of Madame Chalamet’s mystery. Apparently, this is volume 2 in the series, and I wasn’t lost one bit with the detailed descriptions that Byrd put into her writing. I definitely plan on going back and reading the first volume in the series and I really look forward seeing what else Byrd brings in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries! There is so much more to this book, and I don’t want to post any spoilers, so why don’t you pick up a copy and find out for yourself what happens!

I thoroughly enjoyed this charming and entertaining mystery novel by Byrd Nash. The story is a delightful blend of humor, intrigue, and ghostly encounters, set in a beautifully described 18th-century French setting. The author’s description of the French setting, including the lavish feasts and opulent surroundings, is mouthwatering and immersive.
Elinor, the protagonist, is a refreshingly different detective. Her skills as a medium and her ability to communicate with the dead make her a compelling and intriguing character. The witty banter and dialogue between Elinor and Tristan is clever and engaging, with a delightful playfulness that adds to the story’s charm.
One thing I didn’t enjoy as much was some sections of the book feel a bit rushed, while others drag on for too long. A more consistent pace would improve the overall flow.

What a great, wholesome read. This is the second book in the Madame Chalamet series. This book takes us on a trip to another high ranking person where his estate is featuring all the guest and a food competition among 4 different chefs. The king gets poisoned during this time. Madame Chalamet is getting better with her trade and with her detective work helping the Duke. Could we be seeing a glimpse of a love between Madame Chalamet and the Duke? The end of this book teases of this so we shall see in the next book if the comes to fruition. Can’t wait to start book 3!

A story about Elinor and her ghost talking skills. She is determined to find out who killed her father. She takes you on a journey of mystery and one you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed her character and what she brought to the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read. There is great growth throughout the plot and characters. Delicious Death (Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries Book 2) by Byrd Nash. This is such a fun book. I loved the first one so I knew I would enjoy this one as well. Saddled with a bumbling apprentice, a drunken soldier, and a prickly nobleman who won’t explain why he hasn’t paid a proper call, Elinor must discover what exactly the Morpheus Society is hiding from her.
Will Elinor’s dance with ghosts become a permanent arrangement? And when Tristan discovers her missing, who will face his wrath?Elinor Chalamet uses her wits and her ghost-talking skills to hunt for her father’s killer in Alenbonné, a coastal city where ghosts walk at all hours. The third of a six-part gaslamp fantasy ghost mystery series featuring a Sherlock Holmes-like female character in a slow burn romance
Delicious Death is the second book in the series Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries and ANOTHER AMAZING read that I COULD not put down!!! Elinor and her friend are invited by the King to the country side for the Winter Revels. Elinor is so excited because one of her favorite chefs will be there. Right away there is so much to deal with on her trip from helping a lady get away from a not to nice man, helping a widow with her husband’s ghost, and someone tries to kill the King. So Elinor and the Duke must investigate. I again enjoyed this read so much. I want the story to go on and on and on. I love that author pulls you right into the world she has created with these amazing characters that jump right off the page. I love that I can close my eyes and be in the world with them. BRAVO and can not wait to read the third!!!

Another wonderful story in this series. I was thoroughly enthralled with the trip this one took me on. Trying to keep my wits about me so I could figure it all out. The characters are plentiful. We get a large number we already know with some new additions. Some of them surprised me others I had figured out. We do get to see Madame Chalamet stretch her powers of deduction along with her ghost talking ones. I enjoyed getting more insight into a few of the personalities.
Overall this is another good story in this series. While I was not a hundred percent agreeable with the ending it still is satisfactory. Although a few things happen at the end that I can not wait to see more of in the next book.

This book!!!!! There is so much to say and so much that I do not want to give away. Ghost Talker by Byrd Nash is the first book in the Chalamet series. Elinor is using her skills to help catch her dad’s killer and wants to help until she is put under house arrest by Duke de Archambeau takes over the case. Follow Elinor on a trip through so much from ghosts, to murder, to the Duke. I did not want to put this down, I wish the book was longer as I was thrown into a world that I didn’t not want to leave. The characters pull you into the story with how complex they are. The storyline that is so intriguing. I love stepping away from my normal reads and finding something like this that I can wait to read more and more!!!!
