Spring’s Showers (Romantically Seasonal Series) by C.A. King – Review by Bobbi Wagner

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books are engaging, well written and just hard to put down. This book is no different. It is a romance story about two people that will show you that growing flowers and a growing relationship may not be all that different. Cupid is out to prove that his job is harder than it looks, especially when he has four new challenges. What happens next you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. They have great growth and chemistry that made the story fun and entertaining to read. They made the story come to life and really pop into your heart. This is a shorter story but it really packs the romance in and had me coming back for more. This made such a great read that filled my afternoon with romance and fun. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Short and sweet this book brings us lots of fun with great characters, a small town very committed to Valentines day, a crazy dating app, sweet cookies and best of all Love. You fall for these great characters and this cute little town right from the start. The added touch of the recipes throughout the book was so fun and very tempting….I think I might just have to try some.

I am no stranger to this gifted author, when ever I pick up anything by them that they have written, I am immersed and hooked on the engaging story they create! This book was no different!

In life, we all want to prove or selves one point or another don’t we? What if what we had to prove, meant putting anyone who pitted against you to the test? Romance and seasons go hand in hand, is love as easy as some thing, or does it bring on more hardships than we care to admit? These were things I asked myself as I read. I loved the story, and it is the 1st in a 4 part series, and I was hooked from the character introductions. There was good character development, and certainly kept me on my toes wondering what would happen next. Really good read and I for sure very much enjoyed this one!

Highly recommend this book with no questions to be asked! It is a must read for sure, and not one to be passed up. I am looking forward to reading the next installments in the series! Loved it!!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is about the journey of one unexpected couple in their search for love is chronicled in this lovely Romantic Comedy.

Three leaves make up a Shamrock. There is no limit to how many Clovers a Clover may have. Faith, hope, and love are all commonplace. Luck, on the other hand, is usually number four. When it comes to love, he’s a sinner; she’s a saint. They’re both on the lookout for the coveted fourth leaf, as well as some good fortune. They could just discover it and each other if they meet in the middle.

I loved this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

While this was my first read from C.A. King, it certainly will not be my last. Although the story was short, (it was the only fault I found; was I was left wanting more) it was a very cute and engaging tale.
The characters emitted a noticeable chemistry from their very first encounter, which continued to sizzle with humor and sarcasm throughout the novel.
Shamrock has quite the playboy imagine he was intent on maintaining, however the last of his pals to settle down, Shamrock begins to feel some kind of way about how lonely and bored the single life was becoming and finds himself yearning for a more permanent fixture, instead of the multitude of one-night stands that he had grown accustomed throughout the years. Clover had always been a good girl, taking care of her grandma, looking for her happily ever after; never once thinking of dating someone who had such a promiscuous reputation as Shamrock did.
With a little bit of luck, these two find that true love can turn up where you least expect to find it.

Clover, always looking for a four leaf clover to solidify her Luck.
Shamrock, Patrick always looking for fun and a one night stand until he realizes all his friends are settling down.
When Shamrock finds Clover looking around in a patch to find something, he is drawn to her. Who would have thought that Shamrock and Clover would be a perfect fit?
The lengths that Shamrock goes to, to make Clover his are too cute for words. This book was a cute quick read. While there are some sad moments and you really want to give Clover a hug, Shamrock is just what she needs.

They were gods.
They were celestial beings.
They were mythological creatures.
It didn’t matter what they were called. Names were merely a reflection of the current age and occasion. Throughout time, there was only one constant: a strong dedication to their own worthless pride.
Wars were fought… humans suffered… tricks were played… and all in the name of competition; a way of determining a hierarchy amongst themselves.
The strong thrived. The weak suffered.
He was at the bottom of the totem pole; taken for granted and ridiculed. Enough was enough. It was time to climb the ladder, aiming for nothing but the top. There was only one way to accomplish that goal.
The gauntlet was thrown. The challenge accepted. Respect was at stake, pitting deity against deity in a winner-take-all competition.
Cupid shed his stereotypical persona to bring about the bet of the century. For once and for all, he was going to prove helping people fall in love was, is, and always would be, the hardest job.
Four challengers stood at the plate, ready to swing. But would they actually find a way to bring about the romance of Valentine’s Day in their designated seasons?
In book one of this four-part series of standalone books, spring has sprung and Mother Nature is laying it all on the line. Nurturing flowers and growing the love between a couple can’t possibly be all that different, right?

I have read a few books from this author and every time I read her books she keeps me on my toes. This is a perfect book to read for St. Patrick’s Day. I love a good short romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Clover has never had any type of luck when it comes to men. She is out one night and feels something that she has never felt before. Clover meets Shamrock and she knows he could break her heart. She gets to know him and she can’t help but to have a connection to him. Will Clover find her lucky man or will her luck be bad once again?

This book is the perfect example of not judging someone based on outward appearances. Shamrock seems to be living it up and enjoying every second of being single. Deep down inside though he’s starting to yearn for more. Clover has had terrible luck with men but when she bumps into Patrick she feels how different and how right things feel with him. He realizes that maybe he just hadn’t met the right woman to make him want to settle down until her. They are both going to have to face their demons head on if they want to make their relationship work. This is such a sweet book that has some great laugh out loud moments and the best, sweetest ending. You definitely won’t want to miss this one.

This is a well written, cute romance. Although short, it was quite entertaining. Clover is a wonderful girl who unfortunately because of circumstances, is left alone in the world. Besides her name, she is not very lucky. She is looking for love but so far has not found her four leaf clover. Shamrock is the last single man amongst his friends. If reputations are true, he will forever be a gigolo. The two cross paths in an unusual way which leaves quite an impression on him. Can Clover ignore his past so she can have her happily ever after? This is a quick, delightful story that I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this short romance. The story gripped me from the beginning and I was invested in the characters the first time I met them. Even though this is a quick read the story felt complete and packed so you didn’t feel like you were missing out on the story.
Clover is an amazing character. She is so.hard working but she never seems to catch a break until she meets Shamrock.

Shamrock has never wanted a long term relationship and never entertained it until he meets Clover. Now his past of random hook up come back to bite him and add to the confusion misunderstanding between them and the reader is left wondering if Clover and Shamrock will ever get their happy ever after.
Is Clover’s luck about to change for the better? Or will Shamrocks luck run out?

Clover does not live up to her name as being lucky, first in life and then in love. While trying to take care of her grandmother, a unfortunate brush with the law when her grandmother passes and out of the rainbow their is a pot of gold. Maybe her life is getting better.

Shamrock is the alter ego of Patrick, always wanting a good time, never wanted to be shackled to a women he has lived the playboy life style for ages, but as his friends starts marrying off life hits him and he wants what his friends have, but can he put his reputation behind him and find the one girl who can see through the shield.

This was a lovely short story full of fun and true optimism, we start in the middle of Clover’s world a bit down on her luck not really wanting to find love and happy as she is, but when other circumstances happen she realises that she needs to live life and opens her heart. As for the character of Patrick he has lived his life a little too much and going through the journey of discovery with him was him realising he wants what his friends have. It is a lovely meet-cue that brings these two brilliant characters together and the story wonderful flows right the way through.

I have read many books by this author and they have all been different but the style and the quality of the writing never falters.

Full transparency- it took me until I was halfway through this book before I really loved it. Once pieces started to fall into place and both characters met, the storyline really picked up for me. I have to say, I love that while this is a casual, romantic comedy, it was a storyline that I felt had a lot of meaning.
I loved Shamrock and appreciated the growth of his character in just a short time.
There was one point in the book where I literally gasped- drawing attention from my whole family. I would definitely recommend this book to others and I LOVE the cover!

Its the story of Clover who is a waitress just trying to get by and trying to save herself for the perfect man. Shamrock is a playboy in every sense of the word. He loves them and leaves them and is totally the opposite of what Clover is looking for. When Clover meets Patrick (Shamrock) sparks fly but she knows he’s not her type. What will happen if Clover can settle Shamrock down? Will they fall in love? Can opposites really make each other happy? This fun, quick read is so good that you will be finished with it before you know it. Laugh out loud romance that is so good. Do yourself a favor and read Shamrock & Clover today!

Shamrock and Clover are not only the name of the title and the lucky plants in this story, but the name of the main characters. Clover and Patrick aka “Shamrock” have a meet-cute, they don’t like each other at first, then they go out, then she finds out he has a past, and you know the rest. An enjoyable Romantic Comedy at it’s best. It’s a quick and easy read and perfect for a rainy day.

I have start with the cover !!! What an absolute beaut and sensory experience for my eyes 👀❣️

So on St . Patrick’s day this was my read for the day and you can just imagine my joy when the opening line read “ Working a Friday night in a pub was bad enough, it also being St Patrick’s Day only made things worse . “ so to get into the spirit of things I cracked a Guinness and settled in with my read ❣️📕☘️

So Clover had a long and testing night , she locks up and wants to head home but then she has a run in with officers on duty and I almost feel like I need a shot of Irish whiskey ! Oh my goodness this poor girl I wasn’t sure if I wanted to loose my temper or laugh 🤦‍♀️😂😡🤷‍♀️

Shamrock …. Our introduction was rather colourful and him and his mates had me chuckling at the get go 😂😉🍺 I almost want to say he’s a man child 😉 and while his mates seem to be settling he’s still wild and and free , but a little leprechaun whispered in my ear things are about to change …

Shamrock and clover … the plants are different yet similar and so are the people , yes I was one of those that googled ☘️😂🦋but it helped me better understand my characters , I know , strange but true 🥰😂 and thankfully her gran was on board and reassured me … ( you’ll understand when you read this little gem )

At a stage I wondered if my girl was going to get a break , it was one thing after the other and my heart is shattered when she has the hardest blow of all 😭

Their paths cross again in the most unexpected place and then the magic happens ❣️☘️

She pulls you into her stories by her great writing skills as well as her attention to details. She pulls you into the story from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is shorter but it packs a punch for sure. A story about a sweet romance between two people who are searching for love. They won’t see what fate has in store for them until it hits them. The characters are connectable and have great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed their chemistry which made me laugh in parts. This is an easy and entertaining story that is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This was such a delightful read. i t had tender moments, and wonderful characters development. I smiled a lot as as I read on through. I really enjoyed the story and the wonderful characters. I was very lucky to come across this book and enjoy reading it. I do say it is a quick but fun read.

They say opposites attract, do they not? I found this was the case with this story. Two very different souls, basically night and day, that might have something so good and real, that pure luck could be doing its spell, but at the same time, sometimes the heart just knows! I loved reading this sweet story, The character development as well as opening hearts was defiantly three. It did not take me long before I finished the book I had a fun time, and it is one that made me feel happy as I read. Loved it!

Quick and fun read, with diverse moments of happiness and cuteness as well. I found the characters had their own sense of quirkiness as well. It was a cute read and I do highly recommend this book!

This new age romance has a little something for those who love holidays and something fun and a little different. This was my first time reading a book from this author and it was a quick spicy read! Desmond and Emily both work at the hospital. Desmond is a doctor with a naughty reputation and Emily is an orderly that seems to play it safe. They work on different floors so they have never met until they both decide to go to the same bar on the same night. They don’t have the night of fun they want so they try again the next night with success! Something happens that changes things. I can’t give it all away but I will say I did enjoy this read. I know it is a Novella, but I wish it were longer and not so rushed at the end. I wanted/needed more. I can’t wait to read her next book. Maybe we will get an update on these two!

Emily is a new orderly at Eastport General Hospital and is hearing some gossip about Doctor Desmond, aka Doctor D. Since Emily has never met Doctor D, she imagines he is that almost too perfect kind of Doctor who seems to have everything and really doesn’t believe he really exists. In all honesty, Doctor Desmond does exist and sure sounds like everyone’s dream. What the gossips don’t talk about is how much Doctor D cares for his patients and how hard he works to help the children under his care.
Overall I really enjoyed the book. It’s a short novella type story for Doctors of Eastport General. I am looking forward to checking out some of the stories written by other authors for this series.

A cute, quick, fun read! Right out the gate, the book starts with chaos, which made it intriguing. Initially it is a little confusing to line it all up, but it makes sense fairly quickly into the story. Dr. Desmond is a pediatrician who is caught up in the middle of an impossible situation. He also has a bit of a reputation. Emily is an orderly with her life all planned out and no time for BS. I loved the two MCs, both separately and seeing how their relationship evolved. The story made me laugh a few times, got a little steamy in others, and tugged on your heart strings a bit along the way. I would have liked to see a little more on the characters. Because of its size and how quickly it flies past, it reads more like a novella. I will definitely be picking up some others in this series when I am in the mood for a quick, cute romance!

Once again my people of Bunya revive me with open arms and I’m more than thrilled to be back 🥰

Between Scott and Ryan they’re doing an amazing job at the hospital in Wartah River but as you can imagine they’re servicing not only their own community but those of the surrounding areas and extra hands are always welcome and when Dr Franceen Lewis arrives my heart skips more than a few beats ! I just feel it in my bones that Bunya is going work it’s “love magic “ again for another Currthers sibling ❣️😉

Doctor Franceen Lewis comes to Waratah hospital to heal and service the community but in doing so they are actually the ones healing her 🥰 and while Scott has his own cut out for him i matters of the heart , he’s so gentle , loving and patient with his Dr Lewis I can’t help but fall harder for than she does 😂

These people of Bunya and Waratah really have a big place in my heart ❤️
