The depth of this book is thought-provoking from almost every point of view. The characters are so much more than what meets the page. My heart instantly breaks for Dane but the truth is that once he turned to that darker character, the more I got scared for Mila and who they could be. Their ride throws you down a deeper rabbit hole and I hope you’re ready for it. This book is full of action, intensity and a romance out of this world!

This is book 2 in this series. It contains the things I love, Mafia, danger and romance. The romance is steamy and passionate. There is a fine line between love and hate and we see that in this book. The characters are amazingly written that you feel so engrossed in their story.
Dane and Milana were ment to be together. Both members of families in the Sindicato they seem perfect for each other. However Milana wants away from the Mafia lifestyle. She wants to find herself so she does this by leaving the love of her life behind.
Fast forward 11 years later and Milana is back. She realises that her place is by Dane’s side. However after all the heartbreak she caused when she left Dane he isn’t so quick to forgive and move on.
Can they work through the past and be together? Will Milana accept the man he is today totally emerged in the Mafia lifestyle? Can Dane ever trust that he is enough for her or will they both set themselves up for failure and heartbreak all over again?

I will tell you that Cam Johns does not disappoint with Brink of Denial. She knows just how to keep you on the edge of your seat and pages turning. Unlike the first book, where the story revolved mostly around Seth and his lawyer Braelynns romance. The second book digs through his brother Danes past with his ex lover after eleven years and her brother. Mila gets into some deep water and needs her ex along with the rest of the mafia family to help fix the problem and we all know what kind of crazy stuff that the mafia is capable of doing.

Dane is a dangerous man, next in line for the Sindicato but he has one addiction but she walked out on him eleven years ago but when he receives a call from her asking for his help can he really stay away from her.
Mila left eleven years ago and did not look back wanting to put her mafia princesses title behind she starts a fresh and becomes a famous model. One day she is blackmailed by an ex lover and as he starts to become a problem she decides to invite the past into the present but what will happen when Dane crashes into her world.
OMG, I could not wait to read this instalment in this series, after Seth and Braelynn’s story you get a peak at Dane but I have waited for his story to understand what smoulders under that moody exterior. At first I thought the character of Mila was spoilt and expectant of everything to be done for her but as the story goes on your get to see the kick ass woman she is.
The story flows and picks up in the middle of the first book, although this is the second or first full book in the series you don’t really need to read the first one to follow the twists and turns but it’s a great story and brilliant.
I love these characters and feel like I’m enrolled in the family and with each word your delve further and further into the mafia world. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and hope this story gets into the mind of Gia.

Brink Of Denial: A Dark Mafia Romance by Sonya Jesus & Cam Johns is the second book in the Sons of Sindicato series. I knew after reading book one that I absolutely had to read this book and I can 100% say it did not disappoint!!! I was pulled straight into this book and read the whole thing in one sitting. I loved the dynamic between the main characters and everything about their story. This collaboration between authors is definitely one of my favourites. They writing just melds into one and they seem to effortlessly create a seamless story. The writing is strong and without fail seems to capture my attention. This is a fantastic book and I cannot wait to read more from these two.

This was the follow up to the previous book, and OMG was it great! I couldn’t put his book down! It was filled with even more mafia mystery, intrigue, and steamy romance. These two authors are amazing writers together as they pull you in from the very beginning. Their attention to detail makes the characters so relatable you feel like you have known them your entire life. As with the previous book, this one is packed with so much action and I found myself on the edge of my seat in anticipation. The main characters chemistry is off the chart. There were a bunch of surprises along the way that I wasn’t expecting. I highly recommend you pick up this book to read.

Oh my word. Intense doesn’t even cover this at all. You have mafia, love, and family all wrapped in one. Milana and Dane have such an intense love that you want to yell at the two the entire book. Mila tried to run from who she is and the one who held her heart. Stubborn alpha Dane refuses to let her come back without making sure she fights for it. This book had me on the edge of my seat excited to see what happens next. I’m so ready for the next one!!

OMG!!! I just knew this would be amazing after the teaser in book 1. I am absolutely in love with Dane even though I could of shook him sometimes he was so nasty to Mila, but their connection was so deep and raw and secrets are uncovered about their past. Brink of Denial: Sons of Sindicato Book 1 is an awesome book full of action, suspense, and twists, continuing an amazing series. This book concentrates on Dane and Mila who have a past together from when they were young. Mila finally comes to figure out that she misses Dane, who was her first serious boyfriend, and be by his side. Of course Dane doesn’t make it easy for her to be back in his life with the hurt and pain Mila caused him when she left. The authors are great at writing about relationships and how things don’t go as planned. The characters and the experiences they have suck you in so you want to read the book in one sitting!

This is the second book in this series which I loved just as much as the first one. I never hesitate to pick up a book by these two authors. Their writing skills are such that they pull you into the book with ease and their attention to detail gives the story a realistic feel to it. The characters are relatable and bring the story to life on each page. This is a story that is engaging, fast paced and full of action. Mila wants to be the woman she was in the past on top of that she misses the man who was her first, Dane. As she decides that it is time to take her place beside him, he will not make it easy for her. She needs to find herself but will she before it is too late? Will she be the woman he needs her to be? I really fell for these characters and what they brought to the story. Their chemistry and attraction is awesome. They made the story fun and easy to read. I highly recommend this book and these authors.

Sons of Sindicato is the first book in the Sons of Sindicato series by Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus. If this book is anything to go by then this is going to be an amazing series. I had not read any previous work by these two authors so was unsure what to expect from Sons of Sindicato. This isn’t a full length novel, it’s a novella that introduces you to the players in the series and gives you the story of Seth and Shaw. I loved Seth and Shaw’s story. I was hooked from the very first chapter and was drawn further and further into the story as it progressed. It’s action packed from the very start and keeps you entertained and on edge throughout. If you like to read about feuding Mafia families then this is the book for you. It’s a trope that I really enjoy reading and I’m so glad that I chose to read this book. It really does set you up for what could be a very explosive series. I really can’t wait to read more from this series.

All i can say about Sons of Sindicato is oh my gosh. Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus had this reader hooked from chapter one in this mafia book. Their character descriptions are beyond words, you almost feel that they are real people standing in front of you. I found the flow of this novel to be catchy and very graceful, so much so that I read the whole thing in one sitting. Every character is just as important as the next, and you will find yourself quickly falling in love with not only the two main characters but also the axillary characters. Personally I have never been one for mafia books but Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus have completely changed my perspective and I for one can’t wait to see what happens next.

Sons of Sindicato by Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus brings us into an intense world filled with wonderful, strong characters and creates an interesting foundation for what I think is going to be an amazing series. In this peak into the mafia world of the Sindicato we meet Seth, the son of the head of the Sindicato, and Braelynn (also known as Shaw), a young strong lawyer who after defending Seth has fallen for the powerfully intense and of course extremely hot man. After months of seeing each other secretly events bring their relationship out into the open and force them to face up to weather they are a couple meant to last or if pressures around them will be too much to bear. This is definitely a very exciting first step into this series and i personally can’t wait to read more!!! please keep them coming!!!

Mafia Princess Milana left to get away from the insanity of the Sindicato life and pursue her dreams. But that means she has to leave the man that owns her heart behind. Fast forward to years later and she now knows Dane is what she wants. But did she burn that bridge to the ground? I enjoyed this book even though I wanted to hit both of the main characters. I wasn’t sure how I would enjoy this book when I picked it up but I was very surprised! This book definitely left me wanting more. Wow, this novella was a thrill ride! Murder, mayhem, and the threat of the law is in full swing in Sons of Sindicato.
I really enjoyed the introduction to the Giordano crime family and the power struggle they are having with the Rossi’s, another Sindicato family. I also liked the tension of when to follow the law and when to break it. Those here for the romance will be happy that there is enough spice to qualify as romance without it being overdone or distracting from the overall story.
Something that stood out to me in this novella is that despite the fact that the two main characters, Seth and Braelynn, and supporting cast already knew one another it isn’t a shock to be introduced the middle of everything that’s going on. I admit I’d love to know more of the backstory of the Sindicato as a whole, and from the preview of the next book it does seem we’ll get a peek into some of that.

I love a good mafia romance. This book though does have a triggering moment in it, was a nice intro into the Sindicato World. Seth is the son of the leader of the Sindicato family and falls for his leading lady is a criminal lawyer that got him off in more ways than one. This book is honestly a quick read with some unexpected turns. I think it took me about an hour to read. I am looking forward to seeing how things play out with this family. Luckily I don’t have to wait long as the new book was just released today.

Braelynn Shaw is a defense lawyer defending the rich and the worst of society. She finds herself in deep when she commits murder. Will she get help from her secret lover? The book had me captured from the very start. I found at times I was holding my breath hoping beyond hope all will turn out for Braelynn Shaw. Although she committed murder I was cheering her on. The author has a way of making you feel compassion for the characters. I looked forward to Book 2 and getting to know the other characters in the mafia family.

I had to go back and double check that this book was only 108 pages. I truly think that it takes a huge amount of talent to put so much “story” into just 108 pages. From the very first uncomfortable moment in Wexler’s office through all the tuff times and ooooo so sexy parts this book had me hooked. Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus make one dynamic duo of talent. The flow of the book is AMAZING. I’m extremely excited to see how these two continue their co-writing.

This book focuses on Braelynn and Seth. Braelynn, also known as Shaw, has just been named partner in the law firm she works at. She is a criminal attorney and the mafia men call when they need help. The man she calls to help her is also the man she is having a secret relationship with.
Seth is the son of the head of the Sindicato. I really enjoyed reading Shaw and Seth’s story. There was love and murder….drama and justice…and some humor thrown in. I am looking forward to reading Dane’s story in the future.

Sons of Sindicato is a short novella that tells the story of Braelynn Shaw, a quickly rising star attorney. Secretly dating a Mafia son, Seth, Braelynn represents his family in all matters criminal. But when Braelynn defends herself against a vicious attack, their secret affair comes to light, bringing with it mafia trouble and the scorn of Seth’s family. Sons of Sindicato was a fast paced novel told from both Seth and Braelynn’s point of view. The story was well written and character development was great. I will be reading the rest of the novels in the series!

This is the first book I have read from these two authors. I love a good mafia romance but they exceeded all my expectations. These two authors did an amazing job with their writing. I could not tell that there were two authors to this book. This is the first book of the sons of Sindicato series and wow what a perfect way to start a series. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive book.
Braelyn Shaw loves being an attorney. She loves when the guilty get justice. Braelyn’s life changes when her boss goes too far one night after work. She now have to cover a murder with her secret boyfriend. Braelyn is falling for a mob boss’s son. She knows it’s not right but she can’t help it. Braelyn knows the murder was self defense but it went too far. She knows that Seth’s dad will not like her due to the color of her skin but she doesn’t care. Braelyn and Seth are in this together but what happens when the enemy comes after them? Review by @heatherbass

This is a great novella to start this mafia romance series, I am so excited to read the rest. This is about a powerful family and they’re attorney Braelynne Shaw. Seth Girodano fell madly in love with her when she represented him in a case, but they have to keep their relationship secret as no one will be happy with their choice. You see if she can still make partner whilst keeping the love of her life but it seems like his family are not the only problem they run into.

Wexler is working on something and seems agitated at her interruption of his privacy. Tension is building and Wexler locks the office door; this isn’t the first time Braelynn has been at the mercy of her boss; only this time she has a secret that will be her saving grace. Attorneys and clients should never be involved in anything beyond a business relationship. This suspense story involves the Giordano family and a young black female attorney needing to have a common goal. Braelynn is involved in a serious relationship with Seth, and their relationship has been a secret. I am an avid fan of suspense crime novels and Sons of Sindicatio delivers everything I look for in a 5-star book. The action, raw emotion, and uncertainty of what path each character will take held my attention all the way to the ending. The end is perfect for a seamless transition into a sequel.

Cam Johns really knows how to bring mayhem, murder, and mafia into a great story. I absolutely loved this book. Braelynn is a strong female character that really empowered me and Johns made you fall in love with all of the characters no matter how good or bad they were.
Braeylynn gets caught up in a predicament but is it truly self defense or is this something she has been wanting to do. She ends up turning over secrets that help her mafia boyfriends father gain power within the family. She struggles with the acceptance because she is not of Italian heritage.
I don’t know what you are waiting for! Go and grab this book!!
