Finders Reapers (New Orleans Nocturnes) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Shelly Kittell

Finders Reapers Audiobook By Carrie Pulkinen cover artI really enjoyed this read. It was quite humorous. Though the main characters are a necromancer and a reaper the author made this story quite humorous. The innuendo, the comfort food made by angels, just stuffing souls hither and there (into cats, wherever they might fit). Hey, who knew what might happen if a reaper took a vacation. I do think the story could have used more male narration. Hollie Jackson did a fine job narrating, I just felt the reaper needed a masculine voice. A perfect story set in New Orleans, home to ghosts, spirits and haunted everything. You really should read this story if you are looking for a fun cozy mystery. You’ll get a chuckle and a mystery to solve. I will be looking for more by the author to read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sign Steal Deliver is part of a multi-author series, but it can be read as a standalone.

This is not my usual read, but a comedy every now and then breaks up all the angst of the stories I normally lose myself in. I found this book to be a quick, easy read. A lot of humorous moments – particularly the incident with the cream and the deodorant scene. It’s fun to see the gods dealing with things in the human world. The characters are fun and quirky. Loved the addition of the snakes. It gave the story a unique twist.

Overall, a fast, fun story that will keep you turning the pages while laughing the entire time.

Finders Reapers (New Orleans Nocturnes) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Bridget McCullough

I really loved this book’s take on the paranormal genre. There were of course vampires and werewolves because where would any paranormal story be without them? But the two main characters were neither and that was refreshing.

The main female protagonist is written so astonishingly well, I’m sad she isn’t someone I can meet because she is so very relatable. I loved her personality and the quirky way she thinks and speaks.

The main male protagonist was written very well also, I loved the inner thoughts we got to see from him. I love that he isn’t just a generic vampire, werewolf, witch, etc. Not that I don’t love those as well because I do but it was very interesting to see this new species I’d never really read about before be birthed onto the page here. Kudos to the author for her imagination and inventiveness.

My only real complaint here is that the story was so short! I hope we get to see more of them in future books.

Finders Reapers (New Orleans Nocturnes) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Kerry Baker

Finders Reapers: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy Audio Book by Carrie Pulkinen is the next instalment of the New Orleans Nocturnes series. This is a highly entertaining book that had me laughing out loud a few times.

Asher and Jasmine definitely have to be my favourite couple so far. They just worked so perfectly together right from the start. They really make this story everything it is.

I also think that Hollie Jackson narrating this series is the absolute perfect choice. She really captures not only the essence of all the different characters but also the essence of the series as a whole. She makes a brilliant book even more exciting and really makes me feel like I am there.

This is a fantastic series that I would urge you to read today.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kat Gataki is a shape-shifting courier for a paranormal delivery service. (You can guess her alter-ego form from her name.) She makes a delivery to a group of visitors to New Orleans, there for Mardi Gras, and meets Hermes – an actual, out-of-this-world-gorgeous, actual Greek god, the god of thieves and mischief. Let’s say sparks fly, as Kat makes a plan to steal Hermes’ special key to the Underworld so she can ease her guilt over her sister’s death.
Kat wasn’t planning on falling for the god, however — nor he for her.
Kat’s plan goes spectacularly wrong. As a result, New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebration is endangered, not to mention her life if Zeus finds out she stole the key.  She only has a few hours to recover it and give it back to Hermes, AFTER visiting the Underworld. This girl’s BUSY.
There’s lots of funny banter; mistaken identity and head-scratching escapes; quirky side characters; and oh, VERY steamy open-door sex. I mean, Hermes IS a Greek god… and he’s used to getting what he wants. Will he forgive Kat her screw-up? Will he help her meet up w/ her sister in the Underworld? 3.3 stars for a surprisingly-steamy, cute little escapade/romance story.

I’m obsessed with this book!!! I never thought my greek mythology obsession could get any bigger but it just did! With adventure and romance this book has everything! I love reading about the main gods but this fictional love story between Hermes and Kat just has me falling in love with them too. Plus the twist!! Ugh I couldn’t have seen that coming in a hundred years. This book is a quick read, but I might just be saying that because I couldn’t put it down. Carrie Pulkinen is an amazing story teller and just makes you want more of the adventure. I highly highly suggest picking up this book if you like romance, adventure and especially greek mythology. Oh and there are also other supernatural beings in this book too so… what more could you ask for?

I was taken along from the first page and engaged right until the end. If you love a mix of paranormal from Greek gods to shifters and everything in between, I recommend this book. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The thoughts of him with us at Mardi Gras, what could go wrong. Carrie Pulkinen has done it again! I don’t think I’ll ever look at the gods of them with us in the same way again. When Kat, a messenger, meets Hermes, the god of messengers, her life will never be the same. This book is full of fun and humor.

I love everything and anything related to Greek Mythology! This was my first read by Carrie Pulkinen and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A fresh take on the Greek Gods as they live their lives in the modern world today. Hermes the God of thieves has met his match in the sexy Calico shift Kat who also happens to be a thief.
Upon Kat’s sister dying she attempts to rectify her guilt by going to the Underworld to apologize, and there is only one way to be able to do that. Kat sets out to steal Hermes keys and unexpectedly his heart. This sets off a chain of events that lead to laughter, romance, and plenty of heart stealing told only in the way a sexy Greek God could tell it.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen is quite possibly one of the best paranormal romances I have read in a long time. Ms. Pulkinen gives us beautiful scenery, great characters, drama, mystery, and more. Kat out main female lead is beautiful, mysterious, and mischievous. Mean while Hermes out main male is the God of speed, thieves and so much more. This romance had me furiously flipping the pages trying to see what happens next because personally I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. So if your looking for a great paranormal romance then I highly recommend Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen.

After leaving Olympus and retiring the gods decide to form a motorcycle club based in Seattle. They decide to take a “relaxing” vacation to Mardi Gras to see the parade the mortals (humans) put on every year depicting the gods and how they think the look. Upon arriving to their vacation house Hades realizes he forgot to pay Medusa. In a desperate attempt to get her payment so she doesn’t release all the souls from the underworld he asks Hermès to deliver her money. Hermès turns him down and calls a supernatural delivery service called NOGS. Enter Kathryn, a calico cat shifter, whose only regret in life is the way she treated her sister on her deathbed. In order to honor her sisters wishes she vows to do honest work and quit her thieving ways… That is until she realizes who the strange people in the vacation house really are. She has Hermès falling head over heels in love with her and letting his guard down. So begins a super fun, ridiculously cute paranormal love story. I really loved this book. It really deserves all the stars. Between the thieving, kidnapping, and memory wiping to save their butts I was laughing out loud and enjoying this book immensely so much so that I blew through it in a day and a half. I’d definitely recommend reading it.

Hermes is the god of couriers, travel and thievery and he is the best at each of those things too, but he still loves a good vacation like nobody else, so when he convinces his friends to come with him to Mardi Gras in New Orleans for a couple of weeks, he is only thinking of enjoying himself and seeing the sites, as well as experiencing Mardi Gras in person, what is there not to like? Kat Gatakis is a young woman who works for a supernatural courier service in New Orleans as she tries to get away from her past occupation as a cat burglar, not to mention that she is a shifter who is literally a cat, she is trying to stay on the straight and narrow so she can keep a promise, however, when she goes on one of her more risky jobs, she unexpectedly runs into a handsome man. As soon as Hermes lays eyes on the courier he has arranged to do a job for him, he cannot take them off of her, he finds her beauty enticing and her attitude even more so, especially when she shows how light fingered she can be to a group of obnoxious young men in the process, but when she unwittingly dares the god of speed to a dare, she has let herself in for more than she bargained for.

As Kat is devising her plan, Hermes feels like he needs confirmation that how he feels for Kat is the real deal and not just some physical need for a fling, however, as things start to develop between them, she pulls a stunt which both impresses and annoys him, especially when he has to find the thing she stole and has a deadline in which to do it, if he doesn’t succeed, both of their lives are on the line, but things are more complicated than they seem and Hermes has to make some choices, as does Kat in order for them to achieve all their goals, but will they manage to do this, or will their time run out? This is a paranormal romance filled with comedy and misadventure which will keep you hooked while they sort out the tangled web surrounding them.

Kathryn, Kat, is a feline shifter working for NOGS, a delivery service, in New Orleans. When the Olympic gods descend upon NOLA and need a package delivered, NOGS is called. Kat meets Hermes and together they deliver the package to Medusa. After she knows who is really is, she concots a plan to steal his caduceus so she can take something special to her sister in the underworld.
Opinion
This book is the second in the series. I have not read the first but liked this one enough that I am going to seek it out. You can read this one, however, and not be confused.
The book was fast paced and pretty hilarious. The characters find themselves in interesting positions as well as situtations that invoke sexual humor. I love the idea of there being all kinds of different supernaturals in New Orleans and Carrie Pulkinen pulls the book off wonderfully.

This is a very fun little romantic comedy that I devoured in one sitting. The plot was good, and brought lots of opportunity for magic, tricks, and adventure. Hermes is a great character, with just as much good looks, intelligence, and hubris as you’d expect of a God of Olympus (or Seattle). Kat is equally impressive, a trained cat burglar, and more courageous than her messenger compatriots. Their romance blossomed over treachery and practical jokes, which was good fun for the reader. The story was entertaining and easy to read. A great comfort read.

Hermes the god of thievery has his own caduceus stolen by someone he felt he was falling for. Was it all a set up? Was Kat really working for Pan or was Pan getting over on both Hermes and Kat? Great story and great writing by an amazing author!

I thoroughly enjoyed this quirky, funny paranormal romantic comedy inspired by the Greek Gods. As usual Pulkinen delivers an original romance with great characters and a unique storyline in a wonderful setting. She also provides the readers with plenty of romance, some steamy scenes and laugh out loud moments, with some drama and twists along the way to keep you hooked and happily turning the pages. Hermes the God of thieves meets and falls in love with Calico shifter and ex thief Kat Gataki whilst he’s on holiday, having a trip to Mardi Gras. Kat has a plan to steal the key to the underworld so she can apologise to her deceased sister, but this means stealing the key from Hermes. “No one steals from the god of thieves” at least that’s what Hermes thought before meeting Kat who stole not only the key but also his heart. Hermes then has only twelve hours to find the love of his life or they will both be spending eternity in the underworld. This novel had me hooked from start to finish and I loved it, it was an exciting and engaging read.

I don’t normally read books about mythology – romance or not. This book, however, was fantastic. I was pulled in from the first page and was thoroughly invested all the way to the end. I didn’t want the story to be over! Hermes, the retired God of speed and thieves, met his match when he suggested using a courier service rather than be the messenger boy of the gods while on vacation. Kat is a feline shifter with a ton of grief and pain sitting on her shoulders. Her father is a burglar and her mother and sister are no longer in the picture. This book had wonderful interactions with the Gods and a love story that made my heart melt. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, especially when there’s chaos thrown in the mix. Carrie Pulkinen did a wonderful job building up these characters and telling this story. I loved the storyline, the happy ever after, and the growing hope inside of me that there is more to tell as time goes on. I look forward to reading everything else this author has to offer.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC #2) by Carrie Pulkinen is such a fantastic Paranormal Romantic Comedy- with Greek Gods, shifters, magic, fantasy, humour, witches, chemistry, romance, danger, drama, and plenty of fun.
I love everything Carrie Pulkinen writes, so when I saw this pop up in my notifications I squealed, grabbed myself a copy and jumped right in. And let me say, Ms. Pulkinen didn’t disappoint!! I was swept up in a really great, fun, and intriguing adventure.
What do you get when you mix Greek Gods with MC, add a minxy shifter, stealing from the god of thieves magic, the Underworld, danger, spice, high stakes, and a ticking clock? Well, this book really is worth your time and money to find out.
I loved Kat and Hermes- I was invested in their story right from the beginning. Carrie Pulkinen is such a master of paranormal romance. I really can’t wait to see what she does next!

I really loves this story. I have loved all the  books by this author but this one was my favourite. I love the twist of Greek gods and shapeshifters. As well as the romance there is also an element of danger and suspense which makes this book so enjoyable to read.

Hermes  is the god of theives among other things. He has lived a long life but never felt a connection with anyone. That is until Kat comes along.

Kat is a shapeshifter  and is a cat burglar. She meets Hermes when she’s sent to do a job of delivering a message to the underworld. What she does expect is to meet Hermes and fall for him. However no matter how much she likes him, Hermes is her key to getting into the underworld to see her sister.
Can she put her feelings to the side and steal from Hermes?

When Hermes finds his key stolen, Zeus and Hades give him 12 hours to recover the key else they are going after Kat themselves.

Can Hermes forgive Kats deception and theft? Can he get to her and protect her from Zeus and Hades? And is Kat’s feelings for him real or just a way to get to his Key?

Gods of Olympus, now Seattle, with an MC club, is such a fantastic idea. Hermes is the God of speed and thieves. His ego is pretty large. Kathryn of NOG enters his life to deliver a package to the underworld for Hades. Trouble with a capital T starts on page 1 and just continues until the end of the book. Kat is a calico shifter and a thief herself. She is on the path to redemption but the knots in her lifeline are numerous according to The Fates. Hermes feels she is the one. Pan, the nemesis, is such a schmuck. He gets what’s coming to him and it will surprise you. Kat and Hermes find that they are both strong individual but together they are much stronger and make a great team. Wonderful humor scattered throughout, innuendos that will roll your eyes, and lots of fun adventure. Highly recommend.

This was a good story with a fun character twist on Greek Gods. I think we as readers can sometimes understand and connect with characters more if they are familiar to us, most people know of Greek Gods; even if we don’t know all about them we can get a better feel for the characters by having a base knowledge set already.

I love how she gave each God an attitude and quirks while still following a general guideline about the God from myths. She truly made them her own.

The plot was fun and had its twists and turns. While I knew it would have a happy ending I liked that it didn’t take a predictable route to get there. I love the motorcycle twist as well! It was a nice read, I’m interested to see the author’s other books.
