Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2) by Via Mari – Review by Cassi Rogers

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2)Bound by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Via Mari has done it again with Bound, the second book, in the Torzial Affair series! This book picked right on up with where the first one left off, so I would highly recommend reading the first book, Shattered, before starting this one. We meet Jenny and Brian in the first book and learn their passion for each other as the story builds. Jenny has been hurt pretty badly in the past and Brian has not partaken in a committed relationship, until he met Jenny and still struggles to do so. Jenny is everything… brilliant, beautiful and feisty. She keeps her outward appearance calm, cool, and collected meanwhile on the inside, her life is being flipped upside down. She is fighting so many forces such as the mafia and the court system trying to convict her with the ruthless murder of her ex.
Brian is used to being in control of all things around him. He is struggling with his newfound want to commit to Jenny while all of this chaotic mess is being thrown her way. He wants nothing more than to protect her even as he fears he may lose her. While Jenny is dealing with all things bad, Brian also has a few shocking things that come to light in his life. Situations arise where the trust between the two is questioned as they fight against each other and with each other for the outcome that they both want and desire.
This book had so many scenes of action, passion, steam, and desire! There were so many times I felt as if I couldn’t read fast enough, just wanting to know what was going to happen. I felt all of the emotions of each character from love, lust, betrayal, fear, and panic. This is a must read book (after finishing book 1, of course) that will keep you on the very edge of your seat, trying to play detective and get to the bottom of things before the author reveals things herself.

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Cassi Rogers

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1)Shattered by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1) by Via Mari is a book that I swear was glued to my hand until the very last page! I am new to this author and I have discovered that she is AMAZING!!! This is just book one of the three book series and I can’t wait to read the next 2!! The story has a way of drawing you in from the start and then holding you hostage on the edge of your seat, flipping pages like a mad person. The characters are charming, the story line is magnificent, and the writing was excellent.
The main female character, Jenny Torzial, is a very successful business owner of a consulting agency. She is working through a break up with the man she thought would be her husband. The ending of their relationship was very terrible and troubling. She has been carrying around emotional scars and baggage ever since then.
The main male character, Brian Carrington, is also a very successful and good looking business owner of the Carrington Steel Empire. Women throw themselves at him every chance they can because of the money and things he has to offer. However, Brian doesn’t do relationships or emotions… only one night stands.
Their paths happen to cross at the wedding of mutual friends and things take off quickly. There are so many twist and turns in this story. There are some very erotic scenes, as well as many action packed scenes. Add this book to your reading list… you won’t be disappointed. *This book has some content that may trigger some readers.*

Unchained Memory (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 1) by Donna S. Frelick – Review by Cassi Rogers

Unchained Memory ( Interstellar Rescue Series Book 1)Unchained Memory by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First off, I’d like to give Kudos to this author for choosing a book cover that had characters that perfectly matched their written description. So many times I will be engrossed in a book and learn the girl character has long brown hair… just to close the book and see a blonde girl on the cover. Now I’ll commence my review.
Unchained Memory by Donna S. Frelick is the first book of the Interstellar Rescue Series. I read this novel as a challenge to myself, as it made me step way out of my comfort zone, because I have never read any book that truly contained science fiction elements. I’m thrilled to say that I am happy with the book I chose. I have no regrets in getting this book, nor was it hard for me to read it.
The book starts with Asia who has suffered a tremendous loss and can’t remember what she did for the three hours in the meantime. She starts seeing a therapist, Ethan, who is trying to help her either remember what happened during those hours or realize its insignificance and move on. During their sessions they start to develop deeper feelings for one another. Ultimately things get hard for them as they have people that start following them. As they run, they find out more and more of the truth.
This book had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I adored the relationship between Asia and Ethan. As soon as I thought I knew what was going to happen next I would turn the page and be shocked to my core. I was so emotionally invested in this book, that after putting it down at night to sleep, my mind would run over all the scenarios. Donna is a brilliant author. Her character descriptions were immaculate and the story line just contained sooo much and it just flowed together effortlessly.

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 1) by India Kells – Review by Cassi Rogers

The Debt Collector (An Underground Bad Boys Romance)The Debt Collector by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW!!! Let me start by saying HOT SIZZLING HOT!!!! I devoured this book in one sitting. It wasn’t what I was expecting it to be… but it was sooo much better! The attraction between not only Locke and Tessa but also him and Gage is palpable. Mrs. Kells has a way of drawing you in and making you feel exactly what Tessa feels. I was on the edge of my seat reading as fast as I could. I felt her fear and frustration. I felt her desire and confusion. I felt her heart. If you like erotic romances, this book is for you. If you like mystery and suspense, this book is for you. If you are wanting to try to read something that has male on male scenes, and are unsure of it, read this one. You won’t regret it. The writing was great and the character description was flawless. I am thrilled that I found this book, and I look forward to reading more in the series!

Proper Ink (Jaded Lily Book 2) by Zeia Jameson – Review by Cassi Rogers

Proper Ink (Jaded Lily #2)Proper Ink by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I recently read the first book in this series, Proper Irish, and I fell in love with all of the characters. So much so that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this novel. Luca, sweet sweet Luca, in the first book I really took a liking to him although he wasn’t mentioned too many times in there. My heart broke for him when I heard his story. I felt his pain and apprehension towards Kerry. However, I also felt their attraction and I was rooting for their relationship to catch on fire. This book was packed full of steamy scenes, feelings, and character development. It was written very well and from a male’s point of view, which I enjoyed. This book was a page turner and was a quick and easy read.
