Touched: Elemental Passions Book One by Skye Turner, Sloane Nicole, April D. Berry, C.J. Pinard, Danielle Jamie, Darlene Tallman, Julie Morgan, Livell James, Machelle Hanleigh, and Melissa MacKinnon – Review by Chelsea Pletcher

Touched (Elemental Passions #1)Touched by Skye Turner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you love mythical romances, this is the book for you. This story follows Aeris, a fae rule breaker, who often sneaks into the human world to explore, and Callum, a detective in New Orleans, who finds out the truth about his bloodline. These two fall in love and have to battle to save their worlds. It is a great read and very well written, in my opinion. It has great character building, but world building could be improved on.

Finders Keepers, Cowboy (Match Made in Montana Series) by Rachelle Paige Campbell – Review by Chelsea Pletcher

Finders Keepers, Cowboy (Match Made in Montana #1)Finders Keepers, Cowboy by Rachelle Paige Campbell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very pure small town Western romance that I could not put down. From enemies to lovers, Ryan and Meg are constantly back and forth with one another, denying their feelings. With a little help from Hank, Ryan’s grandfather, circumstances bring them together, until they can no longer deny them. This book gives off Hallmark vibes in the best way!

Hood of Sedna (Stevie Capot Chronicles) by Mina Skye – Review by Chelsea Pletcher

Hood of Sedna (Stevie Capot Chronicles Book 1)Hood of Sedna by Mina Skye
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This fae mystery had a great storyline with many plot twists. Stevie Capot, an immortal version of Robin Hood, finds herself in a debacle. Three strange, magical men suddenly find interest in her, calling her the long lost Princess Stephanie Corin. She is very confused by these encounters and she is unsure who she can trust anymore. As the reader, you do not know who to trust either. The reason I rated this three stars is because it is hard to follow along with, as you hear the point of view of too many characters in the story.

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago Series) by Anise Storm – Review by Chelsea Pletcher

Deceptively Yours (Titans of Chicago, #1)Deceptively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Wow! Anise Storm left this reader on her toes, I could not put the book down. It is a dark romance and the plot twists are around every corner. When two childhood sweethearts are swept apart by death and distance, they find themselves together again under unlikely circumstances. Storm creates a tragic backstory for both main characters, and the journey they go through to find one another again is unbelievable. The reason I rated it 3.5 stars is due to the lack of character development. I feel that I could not completely connect to them, their situation, and the storyline in this regard.
