If you love a Romance set at Christmas time then this is a book you should definitely read. Filled with great characters, it is a clean Romance full of second chance love and healing. I really liked how Andy began his courtship of Anne plan with letters. I have to admit that I have not read an Amish story before so this was a new experience for me that I enjoyed and will definitely do again.

I give this lovely book a big 5 stars, if I could give it more I would. The author showed the lovely Amish community and how a romance can unfold. I fell in love with the characters and loved how they interacted with one another. It was a very easy read and enjoyable from start to finish. I can imagine what each of the characters looked like and the character traits are full of love and respect for each other.

Anne and Andy have both had their hearts broken and still yearn for the right person to give their love. In this sweet story we watch their interest for each other bloom, but there are barriers to a possible relationship between them. Family is important to each, so they have to be careful to not hurt anyone else in the process.
This is book 3 in the series, but is easily read as a standalone. It is a shorter book that is just enough for a sweet feel-good romance.

The Cold Kid Case – A Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery by Rosalind Barden- 4 out of 5 stars

My first read from this author and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It revolves around an 11 year old named Sparky who is accused of murder. Sparky has to stay undercover to be able to clear her name, but can she do it? I love books that are in a historical setting but this one has a great storyline and attention to detail as well. I highly recommend this book.

I don’t know what it is about Christmas romances that makes my week but this book definitely did that. This is the first work by this author that I’ve read. I’m eager to go back and read the other books in the series now. I’ve read a few other books centered around the Amish community and I’ve seen a few movies however I am no expert so I appreciated the glossary. I enjoyed reading about Anne and Andy. They seem perfect for each other. It’s definitely a feel good story and I highly recommend it.

A Christmas Amish Courtship is the third book in the Amish Courtship Series and is a Clean Inspirational Romance that will definitely take you on a emotional journey. This is a sweet second chance romance with a Christmas setting that will pull at your heartstrings. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. There style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for a wonderful story. Anne and Andy both have hurt souls and love is what they both are looking for. Anne loves to bake and Christmas time. So when she receives a mysterious letter in the mail from a secret admirer she must decide if its worth the risk. What will happen when the plan backfires? Can these two have the love together they both deserve? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This book is a sweet and heartwarming holiday romance that has a real festive feel. It is a second chance romance for both characters and watching their relationship develop over the course of the book was lovely. I connected with each of them individually and loved reading them together.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and, although it is the third book in the series, I didn’t feel like I had missed out on anything. I enjoyed how the author created the story and learning her writing style. This was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I cannot wait to read the rest.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved how Anne’s relationship with God was so important that she wanted that in her partner as well. Andy and Anne are a very sweet couple and I am glad to see they found each other after both suffering a break up with their partners. Johnny, I wasn’t really a fan of him, especially after leaving the amish and basically wanting Anne and the English world. The world of the Amish is very intriguing to me and seems very peaceful and uncomplicated. Sounded off The only thing I didn’t like so much about this book was the Pennsylvania Dutch wording that was thrown in throughout. Maybe because it is not something I read or hear everyday, but in the book just frustrated me, especially because I couldn’t memorize all of the translations from the front.

I found myself wanting to know more of the story than this short novella provided, but at the same time, it was just the right amount of story.

Anne Eichner is alone again for yet another Christmas after her betrothed of 5 years decided to go Englisch. She starts receiving letters from someone who knows her but she is not given his identity. The letter says that after a year of corresponding, they will marry. This has Anne intrigued and she begins to write back to this stranger.

Andy Stoltzfus is a teacher looking to relocate back to the homeland and to be accepted back into the fold. He’s currently between different homes and building another for himself and his soon to be bride.

Anne finds herself falling for Andy while still receiving mystery letters. She’s soon going to have to make a decision that could end up hurting someone. Then her old beau comes groveling back to her. Whatever will she do?

I absolutely loved reading this story! It had been quite some time since I read a novel about the Amish and I’ve missed it! This made for a very enjoyable read on a quiet afternoon!

An enjoyable and heartwarming Christmas romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Anne Eicher loves Christmas and the joy of the season, she loves the baking, the decorating and all the holiday festivities. Anne is worried about taking another chance at love, but she hadn’t planned on spending yet another Christmas alone. Which is why she decides to take a chance when she receives a mysterious letter from a secret admirer. Andy Stoltzfus knows that his heart craves Anne, she’s genuine, faithful and true, unlike her sister who left him for another man. Taking a second chance at love he makes a plan to win both Anne’s heart and her hand, but unfortunately the plan backfires! I loved the sweet, faith-filled storyline which along with the lovely characters and the magical setting had captivated throughout. The story was full of Christmas spirit and it definitely did bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart!

A Christmas Amish Courtship is a very sweet novel of how Anne and Andy found true love. Both had been jilted in the past after years of courtship.

Andy admired Anne and started a penmanship with her hiding behind anonymity of the title “a secret admirer”- Andy then takes a teaching posting at the local school and as Anne is looking after her younger siblings they are destined to meet again and fall in love. Anne starts to compare little pieces of Andy and her secret admirer and wonders if they are in fact the same person.

I loved the integration of Amish words into the novel and it was very interesting to learn about Amish culture. This is book 3 in the Amish Courtship series by Jennifer Spredemann but I was able to easily read it as a stand alone novel. I will however be looking to read the other books in this series ❤️

A Christmas Amish Courtship is the third book in the Amish Courtship series by Jennifer Spredemann. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Spredemann, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But I do love a great Christmas story, and this looked like it would bring something a little different to the table, so I took a chance and jumped in.
What I discovered is a really sweet Christmas romance woven with faith, emotion, heartwarming touches, forgiveness, family, community, God’s plan, and finding love unexpectedly.
Anne and Andy have both been spurned by love. But can some anonymous love letter’s help bring these two the love they have been searching for? What happens? This makes for a charming read to find out…
If you love faith-filled romance, with a sweet connection, Christmas settings, emotion, and heartwarming developments- then this is definitely the book for you.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Jennifer Spredemann!

A Christmas Amish Courtship is book 3 in the Amish Courtship Series by Jennifer Spredemann. Jennifer is a new author to me so I thought I would give the story a go. I have not read the first two books in the series but didn’t feel like I was missing anything.

It is a heartfelt clean romance tale full of faith and religion and it is set around Christmas time. A magical time for love.

I have only read a couple of Amish stories and quite enjoyed them. Learning of a different way of life was interesting. It is a second chance romance tale full of love and healing.

I did like the characters and found them interesting, and it was hard not to feel for them.

Annie is afraid to get hurt again after a courtship gone wrong. She wants to have what others have but can she open her heart to possible heartbreak again.

Andy knows he is the one for her he just has to get her to see it.

If you love an Amish clean religious romance tale, I am sure you will enjoy Jennifers work.

This was a sweet holiday inspired, yet it can be read anytime, romance. Andy and Anne had both gone through some relationship hardships. Andy came back into the fold and had hoped to court Anne. He went about it in a different way. He was a secret pen pal. This intrigued Anne to say the least. Watching this relationship grow and develop was heartwarming and endearing. They did have struggles and were able to get through them. I really enjoyed the story. You felt the emotions. The characters were very relatable. Anne’s family were very supportive of her. It’s a beautiful story that showed God is always with you. A story that I highly recommend.

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed reading. I look forward to reading more from this series as well as seeing what is next for this author. This is a well written holiday romance story that will pull at your heartstrings in parts. The characters pull you into their world with ease and keep you engaged to the end. They are connectable, relatable and had me hoping they would find their peace with healing. A story where two people are in need of healing but will they be able to heal each other? A second chance at a romance story you don’t want to miss. This is a story that brings the holiday spirit and romance together in a great story. I really enjoyed the characters and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

Can Christmas bring two hurting souls together and spark a new love? A sweet faith-filled Amish holiday story that will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart!

Christmas is Anne Eicher’s favorite time of year. She not only loves the joy of the season, but the baking and festivities around the holiday as well. But facing another year alone isn’t what she had planned.

So, when she receives a mysterious letter from a secret admirer, she must decide if she’s willing to take another chance at love.

Deep inside Andrew Stoltzfus’s soul burns an admiration for Anne Eicher. He’s never known anyone like her. She’s exactly what his heart craves—someone whose love is genuine, faithful, and true. Unlike her sister who dropped him the instant Glen Kauffman returned to the community.

Andy doesn’t think he stands a chance with the eldest Eicher sister, though, so he devises a plan to win her heart—and her hand.

But what happens when his plan backfires?

A sweet faith-filled holiday story that will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart!

“ Love anchors the soul . An anchor is a reminder of one’s roots and origin” …. I just love this quote that marks the start of a brilliant read

Gabby comes from a wealthy family , her daddy is is a well know and influential oil baron and cattle rancher and he’s also power hungry …..

Richard is in the running to be the next governor of Texas , his assistant Amanda wants to be more than his assistant and is cruel and unkind to Gaby and she gives off negatives vibes , I really don’t like her 🤮

Now Gaby and Richard have history , they were once engaged before but Richard cheated on her so she walked away and fell in love with Brett , they got married and only a few moths into their marriage Brett had a bull riding accident , went into a coma and never woke up and she was heart broken and thanks to her son Matthew she held on to her sanity but I must be honest when I say I questioned her going back to Richard and while I see the method in the madness I wanted to shake her up and tell her to smell the roses ….a leopard never changes it’s spots…

Matthew had a twin brother that he didn’t know about and when Brandon first makes contact with Gaby my heart breaks , I can’t begin to imagine what it must be like to miss the person you love and them come face to face with someone that’s his mirror image !?

Brandon dotes on little Matthew and Gabby and he’s also just holding on the family that he’s got left so it really a bittersweet situation

Then we have Stan , the man that’s always been there for Gabby and Matthew but he also needs to move on with his life but Marie isn’t the right woman for him …

This girl is living her version of a dispute with all the love and drama surrounding her but she pulls herself together and realises what and who is right under her nose🥰

This was an emotional rollercoaster ride, and I appreciate the depth of the characters. I feel like Gabby is an incredibly relatable character. I was immediately invested in these characters as well, so the author did a fantastic job creating this story! The flow of the story was just wonderful as I never felt jolted back into reality. She wants to make her father and others around her happy but in doing so she is completely putting aside the chance to find her own happiness. I actually think Gabby is a much stronger person than she gives herself credit for being. It is an emotional journey for her for sure. The author created a great storyline and wonderful characters to entertain her readers. This is book 6 in the series, however it is the first book in this series that I have read and my enjoyment was in no way hindered by having not read the rest of the series.

The Anchor Knot (The Knot Series Book 2) by DonnaLee Overly is a great romance story

If Gabby King’s secret becomes known, it might derail her boyfriend Richard Wright’s bid for the office of Texas governor. While Texas voters may overlook a candidate’s unwed child, finding out that he has a son as a result of an affair with a married lady will surely spark controversy. The powerful oil tycoon and cattle rancher Wayne King, Gabby’s father, convinces his daughter to agree to his scheme to get her and Wright into the governor’s house. Amanda Jason, the campaign manager for Richard, wants Wright and the position of first lady of Texas and will do whatever it takes to replace Gabby.

Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.

The Anchor Knot: Securing the Knot of Truth
By: DonnaLee Overly

This was my first novel by DonnaLee Overly that I have read. I definitely will read more of hers now, that is how much I enjoyed reading this one. This was a fantastic book about a character who is really in the process of discovering who she is. She is in the limelight of politics, but really doesn’t know if this is where she wants to be. She also is there by proxy, it isn’t her running for political office. Plus she is dealing with the loss of her late husband in addition to her fiance who is running for governor. She is the queen of putting everyone first, but she never stops and asks who she is or what she wants. This is something that I definitely relate to on an amazingly personal level. Gabby was very well written and her personal struggles were really well written and as the reader you really felt for Gabby and you wanted to see her find what she wanted, not what everyone else wants. I loved the complexity of the relationships in this book. This book is so fantastic. I definitely recommend it. I have found another author that I really want to read more of.
