When I first started reading, I really didn’t think I was going to enjoy this. There were so many characters introduced and I was certain I was NOT going to be able to keep up with them, the amount of characters was truly overwhelming at first but every single one was brilliantly significant throughout the story. The plot had so many twists and turns I was truly on the edge of my seat, the suspense was too much to take at times in the best way. It was very hard to walk away from this book, not be able to know what happened next. If you love suspense and like to try figuring everything out before the end, this is for you.

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore is an exciting nautical fantasy. There’s a long-lost map to a possibly real land full of treasure, it’s a classic story! But there’s so much more, unexpected twists and features along the way that make it stand out and keep the reader hooked.
I like how down-to-earth Isaac is. Like, at one point a character is carrying a ball of flame to light the way and he’s wondering why they don’t just make it into a torch to at least appear normal. Childhood lessons from his mother keep him grounded and persevering through the strange challenges he has to face.
There’s some fantastic world building in this story as Isaac enters into a magical, terrifying storybook world. Readers are really taken on a journey!
This book gets five stars from me! If you love pirate and adventure stories with plenty of fantasy elements give this a try, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

I am not sure where to begin with this book because so much happened. It is amazing and really well written. Everything is in the details. There are so many twists and turns in this book that once you think you figured things out, plot twist, and you are back to square one. This book kept me on the edge of my seat constantly turning pages to see what was going to happen next. The suspense in this book is a slow burn that build throughout the book. This book has so many things going for it that you don’t miss the graphic scenes or foul language, which are normally on my must read lists. I was able to keep a steady pace reading this book. I was able to get sucked into the story line and wasn’t able to stop reading until I was done. This is the second book in the series and while it can be read as a stand a lone, I would highly recommend reading the first book in the series. It will allow you to be able to keep up with characters in the book faster. This can be done without reading the previous book but it will take a few chapters to really understand what is going on. If you do go in without reading the first book in the series, don’t worry the character development and the way the author goes in depth will bring you up to speed. Revenge Never Rests by Laurie Lewis is the second book in the Tallie Brown Suspense book series. I do recommend that you read book 1 of the series. This book is one of revenge, suspense, and love. This book is a major page-turner. I found myself unable to put the book down. I found the story incredibly intriguing and well-written. I fell in love with Tallie Brown. She was a capable and amazing young woman. There are plenty of twists to keep you on the edge of your seat!

I could not put this book down! This is a sequel so I recommend reading the first book before you pick this one up. It will help fill in some of the missing information. I absolutely love the way Laurie Lewis develops her characters and plot lines. I mean by the end of the book, I wasn’t sure who to trust! I really felt a connection with Tallie and the way Lewis writes her and her story just absolutely pulls at your heartstrings. This book is so fast-paced that I had a hard time putting it down because I just wanted to know what happened next! I love the independence Tallie has and her take-charge attitude. Again, this is a fantastic story…the plot is something that isn’t too far-fetched and the way Lewis writes it is just phenomenal.

This book was much more fast past than the first and picks up right where it left off. There is a lot going on and a lot of people involved throughout the book. The author continued to develop Tallie’s character as Tallie is discovering herself after learning the secrets that make up her life. Great ending to the series.

This wasn’t a fast read for me, but it was a GREAT read. The author did a great job giving a little more of the characters personality throughout the entire story. So many times I thought I knew what was going on and she hit me with another piece of the puzzle I didn’t see coming. Highly recommend this book.

This book kicks off with a bang and doesn’t stop until the end. I thought this was such an exciting book and I really enjoyed the journey it took me on. As the second book in the series I would recommend reading se regs never die first however you csn easily pick up this story. I found myself constantly changing my mind about everything in this book. The author weaves such a tale and the characters add so much more to it. You could see them develop as the story progressed and I loved what we got to know them now. This is an original and intriguing story, which had me hooked from the start and kept me captivated throughout. The unique storyline revolves around a sailor, Isaac Moore, who at the moment that he thinks his life is over, finds himself thrown into an unbelievable adventure, but is he dead or not? Isaac is used to the open sea and the canvas sails, but he didn’t expect to find himself standing at the edge of the River from the storybook he had as a child. Issac finds himself in a fairytale, the River, from the book his mother used to read to him, flows from one world to another, as far as he can see. Issac is amazed that he’s even made it that far though, as to get there he’s had to fight a vicious little old man and his air dragon, and that was after a beautiful but angry green fairy with vines for hair dragged him there. All he wants to do is return home, to eat his dinner of mashed potatoes and turkey, but he has many more obstacles to face, least of all the terrifying Snowman. This is an epic fantasy adventure, which had me gripped, and at times a little confused. However, the world building is amazing, as the detailed descriptive narrative really brings the setting vividly to life, along with the wired and wonderful creatures, such as shapeshifters and large flowers with eyes. The quirky characters all have a part to play, but the focus of the story is on Isaac, who seems just as confused as to what is actually happening to him. This is an enjoyable and engaging read, and I recommend picking it up to find out the answer to what actually did happen to Isaac Moore!

This was the first book I have read by this author, but it won’t be my last! This was such a whirlwind of action, adventure, and fantasy; I couldn’t put it down until I had finished the story. The author did a fantastic job of developing the characters and it was a journey watching how they evolved. This story was filled with vivid imagery in a whimsical fantasy world. This story takes you on a voyage of heartache and tragedy, followed by heart and humor. The author paces the story in a way that comes at you in waves. If you are looking for an offbeat story that covers adventure, heart, fantasy, magic, mystery, and well developed characters, this is a wonderful book to check out.

Revenge never rests is the second book in this series from this Author. Although i have not read book one in this series i was still able to follow right along. I felt this book was a really fast read for me, it kept me engrossed. I honestly love Tallie brown’s Character dealing with her feelings with her mom and not to mention all the intensity and twists in this read. I was unable to predict what was going to happen in the book and it was so wonderfully written that you will not get board. if you like clean romance suspense reads i would highly suggest going and reading this book. What actually happened to Issac Moore is a really good question. In this incredibly smooth, well written, fantastical adventure novel we are left wondering just that. This was my first book by this author and I was taken aback by the creativity and imagination it took to weave together a story of this caliber. I did read the excerpt of the story and acknowledged many of the fantastical elements like giant worms, flowers with eyes, battles with air dragons, enslaving vines, and being brought back to life after a brain bleed, but I was still unprepared for what this book actually contained. I believe this is the best way to go into this book because I don’t think you can ever really prepare for Issacs journey. He really just wants a good nights sleep and some good food but he is thrown into a whole other world. This is an intriguing, wild, enjoyable read.

This curious tale, was definitely one of the more interesting ones that I have read this year. The author crafts her tale in such a way that you never know what’s coming next, and you just simply can’t stop reading. There are parts that will break your heart and others that will warm them. While you will laugh plenty you might also want a box of tissues, needless to say this book was an amazing roller coaster ride. But over all this book was amazing and I will personally be looking for more from this author.

I love it when I pick up a book by an author that’s new to me and their story is not only suspenseful but gives enough details to understand the main character and what she’s going through. This book has intrigue, multiple suspects, and it keeps your attention because it’s so good. I do wish I had read the first book in the series and I might still read it anyway. Tallie Brown faces a lot of challenges but seems to figure out what’s going on before something happens to her. Moments when she faces how her life could have been very different are things many of us see in our own lives. This is one of the best suspense stories I’ve read in a while and I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

Wow, what a crazy ride. I am left speechless at the imagination and creativity it took to write this book. There were a couple of times where I got lost but found my way back into the story. Elise, at first I couldn’t stand her, she seemed like a terrible person and very manipulative and sneaky but, she really was just trying to find her way home. It was fun for me to find out how Elise knew Isaac for as long as she did, the many different instances in his life she was there for. There are many different characters along this ride, and at one point I thought Isaac was going to ditch them and go back to his normal life but, he doesn’t and I think I would honestly rather be on a crazy adventure too. Isaac and Sister Maria’s relationship just seems volatile and I wouldn’t mind hearing more about their time together. Again very imaginative book and definite recommendation.

I decided to read this book based on the title, expecting it to be some mystery to unravel. This book was nothing at all like I expected it would be but it is so much better. I was captivated by the story and the way it unfolded. The author really created something that is interesting and attention grabbing. I really enjoyed watching how things developed. I have read a couple of books by this author now and I can definitely say she is one I enjoy. This book has to be my favourite so far but I am looking forward to discovering more.

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore by Samantha J. Rose is and intriguing and thought-provoking read. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this story, but the blurb made me curious to find out more. So I snapped up a copy and set off to explore. I really don’t know how to explain this story without accidently giving too much away and spoiling it for you. I really think that you would be better off diving in blind and letting the author and story sweep you up in the crazy adventure- and surprise you, in a good way. It’s fantasy meets adventure, with action, mystery, magic, zany/quirky characters, paranormal elements, humour, dramatic developments, emotion, and a bit of a mystical feel. Happy Reading!

This was my first book by Samantha J. Rose so I didn’t know what to expect. Very quickly I realized I was going to love it! This book grabbed me from the start and kept me intrigued throughout. This is a gripping story with mystery, suspense, danger, action, twist and turns. I didn’t read the first book in this series but I didn’t feel lost in any way, I will however be going back and reading it. This author did an exceptional job pulling me in and making it hard to put down while trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that there are some unexpected twists and that this is a must read. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Samantha has crafted a curious tale with What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore. Nothing can prepare you for this. Even Isaac himself cannot believe the world in which he finds himself. Is it even real? Is this what happens in the afterlife? Is it even the afterlife? It is certainly not what he thought it would be if that is the case. Imagine being thrown, quite literally into a crazy world that resembles story books with different worlds and the most unusual of creatures and beings. With clairvoyants and shapeshifters, rivers from childhood, Fairies and giant worms (gulp), dragons and fighting mean little old men, and so much more it will keep you engaged and wondering what poor Isaac has gotten himself involved in. This quirky adventure is full of heartache at times and is heart-warming in the next. There is tragedy yet there is humour. There is laughter to be had and the need for tissues in the next moment. Samantha certainly keeps you on your toes. Isaac has seen a lot in his life but this warped world is not reality. It couldn’t be, right? or is it? Does this the end of dinners with mashed potatoes?

What Actually Happened to Isaac Moore by Samantha J. Rose was my first book by this author, and wow, does she have an amazing imagination for storytelling. The world that she has weaved with this expansive story and the unique characters was phenomenally crafted. From the first page, I was already so invested and curious about where this magical story was going to lead me to, and I was not at any point disappointed! This story unfolded into such a beautiful and emotional adventure that left me feeling all the feelings. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone, despite book genre preferences. Read it!

I found this book to be quite entertaining. There were adventures that left you feeling all the emotions. I found myself laughing, crying, etc. Each chapter brought a new tale. I thought the story line was quite enthralling. I know it grabbed my attention from the beginning. The characters were just that. Some big personalities in this book. I really enjoyed the book and I would recommend it to others also.

Amazing! The second book in the Tallie Brown series and what a brilliant suspenseful read. Even though I hadn’t read book 1, the author does a great job of tuning the reader in. I will be going back and reading book 1 though, as I feel there is much more to know about Tallie’s past. This book has it all – drama, suspense, mystery, crime and action. It is delivered seamlessly and I was gripped from start to finish. Highly recommend.

How much more will he have to face before he can return to his dinners of mashed potatoes and turkey? His adventure couldn’t possibly include giant worms, massive flowers with eyes, clairvoyants, shapeshifters, or that terrifying man Isaac calls Snowman…
Samantha J. Rose is a forever-student at Utah State University who will one day have her Masters Degree in Psychology, and is the author of the award-winning novel, The Very Real World of Emily Adams. She wrote her first novel in permanent marker on her sister’s vanity chair when she was three-years-old. It wasn’t well received.
She currently resides in the mountains of Utah in a little house full of toys, where she’s enjoying her happily ever after with her Prince Charming and three adorable little bears.
