Daring Ceri (True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series Book 6) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Jennifer Ramos

Daring Ceri (True Platinum #6)Daring Ceri by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my third book I’ve read in the series and I am loving it. I have been very much looking forward to this one! As I was reading it, the story reminded me a bit of the movies, Sweet Home Alabama and Forever My Girl. After a very drunken moment in Fiji and an accidental marriage, Alex and Ceri go their separate ways. After time passes on and they get a bit wiser, Alex matures and he realizes his wrong doings to prove to Ceri he is a better man than when he was all those years ago. Ceri has been moving on to a new engagement and life. She’s determined to make her own life and move past her foolish mistakes. This book has such wonderful characters and you should definitely read!

This is the 3rd book of the Tessa and Jordan series. As with the other books in the series the author gets you hooked from page one. The story flows well and even though it is quick paced you don’t feel lost, nor do you feel like you are missing any kind of information. Although the characters may seem to dislike each other you can see their connection and how it becomes stronger as their relationship develops. Even though this is part of a series you could read this as a standalone. Come and enjoy the story of how Cade and Lindy started off rocky, but pulled it together enough to discover that they had more in common than they thought.

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan Book 3) by T. Christensen – Review by M Policicchio

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan #3)Cruel Truths by T. Christensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author is amazing. There are times that you can feel the emotions dripping off the page and soaking into your skin. Like when Cade said what he said when Lindy gave him the birthday present. That was like Wow-wow-wowwy-wow!

Lindy Garcia moved away from everyone and everything she knew to pursue her dreams in the fashion industry. She is finally getting a small shot when she decides to interview for a personal assistant position with Cade Kingsley, CEO of Kingsley Marketing. This will give Lindy the business and marketing experience she needs to open her own line some day.

Cade Kingsley is a determined man set in his ways. Something about Lindy drives him wild. He isn’t sure if it is the way she doesn’t back down to him, the way she puts him in his place, or her killer curves. The only problem is that Cade doesn’t know if Lindy likes him for him or his connections, especially once Lindy figures out who his mother is.

As Lindy and Cade grow closer, Cade gets hung up on the ghosts of his past. These ghosts threaten not only his future with Lindy but her future in the fashion world. Will Cade overcome his past?

The characters in the book are real. The emotions are genuine and palpable. This is my first book in the series and I am now hooked. I will be finding the others in this series. I want to know more. I want there to be more. I need more.

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan #3)Cruel Truths by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The tension between Lindy and Cade you could cut with a butter knife! It gave me chills when they interacted with each other. Cade is Lindy’s new boss at her fashion job, and man does he not make it easy for her. Lindy does not take it lying down though and she dishes it right back. She has learned to keep her emotions in check and on a very tight leash, but man does Cade make her lose her control. Once Cade figures out that her family is a way to get her to agree to being his fake girlfriend, she has no choice but agree to his demands. I loved the story-telling and writing, it drew me in from the first word. I’m definitely going to be reading the other books in this series!

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan #3)Cruel Truths by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lindy Garcia was raised to speak her mind and to follow her dreams. Wanting to become a fashion designer and when she lands a job as Cade Kingsley’s assistant at fashion company it is a dream come true. That is until her boss opens his mouth, he is a grump, he is curt, he is rude the list can go one. Lindy has always had a fiery temper and unfortunately for Cade he pushes every button and her temper oozes. Imagine her surprise when Cade wants her to be his pretend girlfriend, he is opinionated about everything and although Lindy would like to say she is not attracted to him, he lights a fire in her. What happens when pretend turns to something more?

There is so much more to this story that I am not even describing. I liked this one a lot, the chemistry is there and Cade has his reasons for why he is a jerk, but when you see some of that hard edge soften you want more. If you love an enemies of to lovers book, this is one to pick up.

Daring Ceri: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance (True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series Book 6)

I was late to this series but now that I have found it I am in love.

We learned about Alex and Ceri in Lily’s book and this gives us the back story and picks up the day she confronts him. The story only gets better from there.

Alex is definitely the party boy/Wild child but he is also so much more than that persona. He’s definitely someone I would have hung out with back in the day. Heck, he kind of reminds me of several of the guys used to hang out with, well except for the being rich and in a popular bad. I enjoyed watching him progress the further we get into the book and turn into an adult.

Ceri’s actions were all self preservation after Alex wrecked her more than once. She finds happiness while trying to protect herself.

Now I have to wait until the next book is released to find out what happens next.

This book focuses on the opposite attraction. Sometimes what we don’t realize is that the thing we need most is right where we least expect it! Rock Star Lily is adored by many and expects for things to go her way. Then there is Rhys, who is completely heartbroken from his previous relationship but his mother is relentless and makes him go on a special date. He rather not even bother setting himself up for disaster. Their connection is so great even though you may not expect it!

Cruel Truths: A Grumpy Boss – Enemies to Lovers Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 3)

I didn’t realize how much I missed Tessa, the Moms and Lindy until I started reading this book. There were some different views of the Tessa & Jordan issues and we get to know Lindy a lot better.

Chase was a grumpy, grumpy man and was determined to make Lindy’s life at work as difficult as possible and he does a great job all while fighting the attraction between the two of them.

There was definitely a lot of love/hate going on between but them which kept me reading and frustrated me at the same time. A lot of times the angsty books don’t do it for me, but there is something about the way this book and series were written that wouldn’t allow me to put it down.

Daring Ceri (True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series Book 6) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Donya Pedigo

Daring Ceri (True Platinum #6)Daring Ceri by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love Morgana Bevan’s writing! She writes in such a way that you feel as if you are in the book yourself and truly a part of the characters’ stories. This is the third book in this series that I’ve read and it definitely won’t be the last. Do I wish I had read the books in order? Yes, but as they can all be read as a standalone, it isn’t necessary. I’m just overjoyed to have found a great new series and an author to add to my favorites pile.

What would you do if you went to get a marriage license only to find out you’re already legally married to the man that broke your heart? This is exactly what happens to Ceri in this fun book about second chances. As she is drawn back into Alex’s world, will she let him draw her back into his bed and into her heart or will she be able to keep her walls up and protect herself from the man who already broke her heart once before? I really loved watching the character growth in these two as they try to figure out love and life. Can they go from just existing in life to finding their real passion and where they are truly meant to be? Find out for yourself as you read this book and series…you won’t be sorry!

Cruel Truths by T. Christensen is available now in eBook
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐ Book Review

Cruel Truths is the third installment of the Tessa & Jordan series. Although part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Cruel Truths is the story of Lindy who is a happy go lucky fashion designer who is down on her luck, searching for one last chance at success. Cade is a grumpy man, who happens to sit on the board of a fashion company. When the two meet, sparks fly, but not the romantic kind. When all comes crashing down will the two be able to save what is right in front of them?

This is my first time reading a novel written by T. Christensen. The characters within this novel are sassy, lovable, and relatable. Lindy’s nickname for Cade had me laughing out loud, literally, just about every time she said it. I am not a big fan of fake girlfriend tropes but this one had me hooked. The banter between Cade and Lindy kept you on your toes wanting more the entire time. If you are a romance reader who enjoys office romance, enemies to lovers, and grumpy and sunshine tropes this novel is for you!

Another series that looked too good to pass up but was already nervous missing so many details jumping into the 3rd book of the series. Being stuck in a cabin where one grumpy drummer with a secret and a girl needing a break from things. Jared and Ella had to defy the odds when they end up being stuck in the cabin together after a bad snowstorm and one thing after another keeps happening. Sometimes it ends up working in your favor when you become open and honest when you only have each other. Great story!

Ms.Bevan is speaking to my Rock-star romance obsessed heart with her continuing stories in this series. Ceri and Alex’s story is no less enthralling. An accidental marriage? Who doesn’t love that kinda plot twist….having these two characters love story unfold in the pages was something special to watch. The good and the bad. Morgana Bevan can weave words like no ones business. I cannot wait for more books. I’m going to be doing a complete re-read, in the mean time.

The appeal of enemies to lovers always piques my interest but I was worried about not being able to follow along as it is the 3rd book in the series. That was definitely not the case with this one and I’m glad I was able to enjoy it without missing any key points. Lindy is trying to find better ways to support herself so she can continue living in the city. Cade, her new boss, is relentless and tough. As both challenge one another in their work environment, their chemistry towards one another starts developing. It is always great to see them grow closer together.

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 4) by Libby Kay – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls #4)Faking the Fall by Libby Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved being back in Buckeye Falls, the small town in Ohio and catching up with all the familiar characters from the previous books as well as being introduced to new ones. As usual the descriptive narrative brings Buckeye Falls vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the storyline and I felt engaged with the likeable and relatable characters. Alice Snyder comes from the town’s First Family and as the Mayors sister has a reputation of not playing by the rules, and now that she’s back home after a decade away she just wants to relax. However, her well meaning but nosey neighbours think she needs to settle down and so are determined to find her a husband. When Alice meets artist James Gibson, who has runaway from New York for some peace and inspiration she gets an idea, if she ‘fake dates’ James that will stop all the matchmaking. Meanwhile James who was excited to start painting again is having artists block and has a collection of blank canvases, but then he meets Alice and she could be his muse. James is keen to spend more time with Alice and so agrees to the ‘fake dating’ plan especially as she seems to inspire him. However, after a few weeks of pretending to date, when they were going to move on, all the time they have spent together, their laughter and the stolen kisses, have made their relationship feel real. As the couple find it hard to be honest with each other about how they feel they will either find their HEA or breakup for real, no spoilers, I recommend picking up the book!

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan Book 3) by T. Christensen – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

Cruel Truths (Tessa and Jordan #3)Cruel Truths by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cruel Truths is Book Three in the Tessa and Jordan series. Although this book is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone. It is an angsty, enemies to lovers’ contemporary romance that centers around the characters of Lindy and Cade. Lindy is an aspiring fashion designer who comes across a posting for a job at a fashion company as a personal assistant. She feels that this would be a good way to get into the world of fashion design and takes the position as Cade’s personal assistant. Cade is head of the fashion board for the company that Lindy wants to be on and has been a cold-hearted jerk to Lindy since they first met. Cade is pushy, rude, bossy, and domineering. Lindy has her family to think of, so she refuses to allow him to intimidate her. When a business deal comes up that requires them to act as a couple, she reluctantly agrees to be Cade’s fake girlfriend. With nerves of steel and a drive to succeed she refuses to allow her emotions to get the better of her while in close proximity to Cade. This proves to be anything but easy as the sexual tension between the two is intense. A great story full of ups and downs, highs and lows, drama, love, hate, angst, passion, and chemistry.

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls Book 4) by Libby Kay – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

Faking the Fall (Buckeye Falls #4)Faking the Fall by Libby Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Faking the Fall is Book Four in the Buckeye Falls series. Although this can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading previous books in the series because there are recurring characters. Each book focuses on a new set of quirky, fun-loving characters and tells their story. Faking the Fall is a small town, fake romance, full of family, fun, and witty banter. It centers around the characters of Alice and James who decide to fake a romance with one another to prevent the town gossip and Nosey Nellies from trying to push either of them into unwanted relationships. Alice has been the center of gossip for awhile in the small town of Buckeye Falls and has a reputation for being a bit of a wild child. She is strong-willed, feisty, determined, and a bit of a rebel who refuses to be defined by the rules of society. Having recently moved back to town Alice just wants to focus on her life, her hopes, and her dreams but the Nosey Nellies constantly interfere and feel that she needs a husband. James has just moved to town after a bad divorce and just wants to focus on his painting. Unfortunately, he finds himself blocked creatively and unable to paint anything. When James and Alice cross paths it is as though fate has brought them together. Alice proposes that the two have a fake romance to keep the towns amateur cupids and gossips at bay. What starts out innocent soon turns into a slow-burning romance as Alice and James begin to have real feelings for one another. The ensuing story makes for a cute read full of angst, sexual tension, and a friends to lovers’ element.

You and Me Equals LoveYou and Me Equals Love by Marina Hanna
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and I was thoroughly surprised how much I did since I am usually not a fan of multiple POV or going past to present but this was done SO SO well. I knew who was talking thanks to the name headers and without the rewind to the past we wouldn’t see how we got to the opening scene where we have so many questions!

Kate has been burned before in a relationship but when Ben comes along they just click and it’s off from there.
We also get to see her best friend Jenny and Bens best friend Josh along the way and I thought that that was super unique we get 2 stories.
A case of a big misunderstanding and past hurts brings Kate to question Ben.
Will they be able to talk things through and come to an understanding or will both be heartbroken?

This was a quick read for me. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers an thought it fit the genre. I always like when the male character knows instantly that the woman is meant to be his. An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with a friends to lovers theme which held me captivated throughout. Brian Fox has a reputation for being a bachelor who guards his heart, however no one knows the heavy secret he has or why he has vowed to keep women at a distance. Then Amanda enters his life and her beauty and charm instantly get his attention. He thinks she could be the one, until he discovers that Amanda is his best friends sister, and so is off limits. Amanda returned to Boston with dreams of pursuing her business aspirations, and she’s as determined as she is romantic and so also dreams of an enduring love like her parents have.
When she first meets Brian they share an undeniable instant connection, but she then learns that he’s her brothers best friend and so they decide to remain just friends. However, as each year passes the couple struggle to fight their attraction and chemistry and the limits of their friendship gets tested. This took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this, and I felt completely immersed in the story. I loved the characters and I really felt for Amanda and Brian, who’s chemistry really came across in the narrative. I look forward to reading the previous books in the series having thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I loved this book about Brian and Amanda. Brian owns Six-Pack the hottest nightclub in town and is loving his bachelorhood. He never looks for more than one night with someone and then he spots Amanda across the bar. He approaches her and has plans for a crazy night in his mind. His plans come crashing down when he finds out who she is. She’s the hot younger sister of his best friend and immediately shuts it down. Over the years, the chemistry between the two is electric and Brian fights it as hard as possible. Amanda would love for Brian to give in to temptation but his friendship with Nick is more important. Everything seems to go smooth until Amanda needs help finding a venue to host a launch even for a lingerie line she wants to sell in her store. Brian knows he cannot work that closely with her and still remain strong so he tells her that his club is booked. Brian also holds a big secret from all his friends which he can’t keep a secret for much longer.
Will Brian and Amanda be able to be just friends for will Brian ruin his relationship
With his best friend just for a chance with his little sister and then break her heart. Loved the book, grab some tissues as you will need them.

This was a interesting story. The chemistry between Cade and Lindy is what got my attention. It was pretty sparky there right from the beginning. The challenge was that because he was her boss, this was a forbidden thing. I enjoyed watching the romance take off and build. As far as characters, I thought they were well-developed. Contemporary Enemies to Lovers
This is the 3rd book in the Tessa and Jordan series and is Lindy and Cade’s story. It can be read as a stand-alone.
Lindy is Tessa’s younger ‘sister’ and is an aspiring fashion designer. She is a very strong character and doesn’t hold back. Cade is all alpha male and has a jaded view of relationships and women. When their worlds collide it is a battle of wills and led to some fiery scenes. This story had a bit of everything – enemies to lovers, fake girlfriend, second chances, alpha male, billionaire romance. Recommend.

Cruel Truths is the third book in the Tessa and Jordan Series and is a Enemies to Lover’s Romance/Contemporary Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished. The chemistry between Lindy and Cade is undeniable and the bantering back and forth between them keeps you turning the pages. Lindy is an aspiring fashion designer who comes across a job listing for a personal assistant for a big time company that could help her open up her future in fashion. Cade comes across as a giant a-hole. He knows what buttons to push but Lindy really needs this job so fake it till you make, because her family is depending on her. These two are no doubt my favorite characters and this story fun and engaging with a side of entertaining. I don’t want to give to much away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.
