Kayla and Tanner meet in a very odd sort of way, with her checking out his backside while in line at the coffee shop.
What ensues after would only ever happen in a book or movie but I really enjoyed it.
Kayla is a single mom just doing her best and doesnt have time to date. Tanner is busy with work and starting his own business who also doesnt have time to date. But when they draw the line at no feelings, you know they will both end up hurt.

Really enjoyed this and the other characters in this story as well!

I enjoyed this romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I was pulled into the story by her attention to details that made the story feel realistic. The characters were like your best friends, they are that connectable. I enjoyed how they brought the story to life on each page. This is a story about Amelia and her brother’s best friend. She has loved him forever and now they just might get a chance. Is she willing to risk her relationship with her brother to be with her crush? How far are they willing to go, will they cross that line? I really enjoyed the chemistry and their growth throughout the story. They are great, strong characters that truly made the story for me. They bring out emotions in themselves right along with the reader. This is a really great pick up and I highly recommend this book.

This a stand-alone Romance novel and is 302 pages in length. This story follows Kayla and Tanner. Kayla is single mom and Tanner is a construction worker. Kayla was in a previous relationship with a musician and that is how her daughter came to be. He left to pursue his dreams and left Kayla alone and heart broken. Tanner notices Kayla and decides to incorporate her into a scheme to get him out of his sister setting him up on a date. Who knew feelings would develop? Then in strolls Rad back into the picture.

I LOVED this book so much! This author has written some of my favourite books and I was so excited to see a new release from her and it didn’t disappoint at all. Tanner and Kayla were such lovely characters to read about, they had an undeniable chemistry and this is what this author writes about so well. She makes her characters really relatable and you feel as though you are right there with them in their story. There were some great laugh and loud moments mixed in with some very romantic times too. They both had such hectic lives but I was rooting for them the whole way through.

I loved every second of this story and cannot recommend it enough! I would definitely rate it more than 5 stars if I could and it is definitely up there in my top reads of 2021!

Friends to lovers and more.
This is the third book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone but is so much more sweeter when you read them all. They are all based at the beautiful Three Oaks Inn that the friends won in the lottery but each story is from individual perspectives. I loved all the characters in the series but I have a sweet spot for Teague and Amelia. Their friendship was so cute and special. This book is a wonderful romantic read that had me laughing out loud and tearing up simultaneously. Highly recommend.

This is a sweet and steamy romance. I loved the character of Kayla. She is a single mum who’s main focus is her daughter. That is until she spots a nice ass.

That ass belongs to Tanner and what Kayla doesn’t realise is that he has had his eye on her for a while. Working across from her apartment he has seen her often and wants to get to know her.

As there attention grows the flirty encounters turns into a no string attached agreement. Both of them get what they need with no complications.

In true romance fashion this agreement doesn’t last and as they spend more time together and feelings grown. Can they actually make a relationship work?
When a huge hurdle in the shape of Kayla’s ex returns into her life wanting her back who will Kayla choose. The Rock star ex who broke her heart or the sweet man who has slowly been winning her heart day by day.

I love this series, with all that is within me, the author always brings together characters that mold perfectly together in more than one way. I love always the work they put into to reach the ending of their books for their characters. This one very much full of heart and a very happy wonderful read!

For me the story meshed super well together in more ways than one. Amelia had had real feelings for her brother’s best friend, Teague for quite some time. She always knew it would be a crime to pursue, but can you really deny matters of the heart? Fate brings them together on a project set for the community. Unexpected to them both is that they both feel something real, and both seemed reluctant to act upon because they both knew what was at risk. Perhaps though this was what was meant to be all along and finally they both were getting the happiness they both so very much deserved.

I loved the characters straight up. I loved more though what came with those characters It be it their interests or more defiantly their pasts. I found back story really made Teague and Amelia whom they were. It made the story so much more powerful and very real. I honestly loved this book.

The book was very well written and it was very well done. I can say i very much enjoyed it and was overly impressed with the writing techniques that brought the story to life! It was a good read, and it really convinced me on all aspects, I would say this is for sure a novel worth reading!

Wrong For Him is the third book in the Love Lottery series by Christi Barth. This isn’t my first read from Ms. Barth- but it turned out to be my favourite (so far). I have come into this series at the back end, woops- something I do quite regularly, lol. Again, I was caught up by the blurb and failed to notice that it was the third and final book in the series. But, having said that, I never felt as though I was missing anything by not having read the other instalments first. Although now my curiosity has bee piqued, and having enjoyed this book, I will definitely be grabbing a copy of the other two books to read too.
I have to admit though that the story was just a little slow to get going and it did take me a little while to ‘get into’ and connect with the characters- but once I did, the story took off.
This is a bit of a mix of romance ‘tropes’- as there is a friends to lovers, brother’s best friend, and secret romance/relationship blend happening here. This combination worked really well and I loved the added angst, drama, and emotion that this recipe brought to the table.
I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Ms Barth’s next book release to jump into…

Thank you, Christi Barth!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski starts off slow but builds up steam. There is so much detail written into the storyline I feel like I know what it is like to work on a horse ranch in Wyoming. The emotions of Rhett and Cassandra come across so strongly that I could feel myself getting frustrated or yearning for something to happen just like the characters were. This book does a wonderful job illustrating that things are not always what they seem. This felt like the beginning of a story that needs a series to continue expanding on all of the different characters and their relationship to one another.

This was a fun and steamy read. Tanner and Kayla are well developed characters with a depth that is easily relatable. This is a book of second chances, a contemporary romance which celebrates growth, love and loss in a relationship. After 5 years of break up, Cassandra and Rhett come face to face with each other, Cassandra wanting to give it a second shot and Rhett blaming her for breaking the relationship. Rhett has too much on his hands and the hurt and anger he feels towards her is understandable. How the two characters mature, understand each other and let the hard feelings go forms the central piece of this beautiful romance. I especially liked the way the two lead characters are portrayed, their hurt, their anguish and eventually the growth. It is a gradual process.
I enjoyed this romance, it was a good read.

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski is one of the best romances that I have read in a long time. Ms. Lewandowski’s characters are amazing from the rugged, handsome, over protective cowboy to the seductive, feisty, and demanding cowgirl he loves. It’s been a long time since Rhett has seen Casandra will Cassandra be able to convince him that she’s different then she used to be? Or will Rhett keep his distance and shun her? But what really set this apart for me was the horse ranch, and her use of descriptive details for all of the horses. Personally I love romance stories but throw horses in and that just makes it that much better for me. So if your looking for a great quick weekend read then I highly recommend Saratoga Roan.

Lewandowski brought a wonderful novel to us with Saratoga Roan. Not only was I reflecting inward with the family troubles described, I was passionately routing for Rhett and Cassandra the whole time. The writing was beautiful and made me miss the farm I grew up visiting. This is a great book that describes the triumph and difficulties that many of us face in real life, without feeling phony or fake. I felt like I was reading a recounting of a friend throughout the duration of this book. An excellent read that makes your heart warm.

This is my second book by this author and I stayed up too late finishing it, then trying to figure out the words to use to explain why it was I loved this book so much. It was a short read that I thought I could go to bed, get it started then finish today, but no, I read the whole thing. I love that although it was short, it was full of content. It was meat and potatoes and no spice and I couldn’t put it down. You expect a short story like this to be an instant love story without a lot of bulk to it. This story had a rich storyline that moved quickly yet had so much going on with the ranch, the horses, the characters, the connections (both good, bad, and sad) and I appreciated that. I truly did not want the story to end and still hope there’s more to come for all of these characters. I truly loved it and highly recommend!

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio had me glued to my kindle and not wanting this story to end. Tanner and Kayla had a fun flirty meet-cute that turns into fake dating which we all know turns into something serious. But what happens if an ex comes back into the picture?

Tanner’s nephews and Kayla’s daughter are scene-stealers, every time they were in the picture you never knew what was going to pop out of their mouths. If you’re looking for a sweet but on the rugged side slow-burn romance, I found the book for you.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio is a standalone romance. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it!!

Kayla is just trying to do what she needs to do for herself and her daughter. Being a single mom is not all it’s cracked up to be. When she meets Tanner, they definitely have chemistry so they agree on a no strings attached arrangement. Of course nothing ever stays as casual as it’s intended and Kayla and Tanner start spending time together just because. Just as things might develop between them, Kayla’s ex comes back to complicate matters a bit. Does Kayla choose stable Tanner or unreliable Radisson for the sake of her daughter?

I really enjoyed this book! Kayla is such a relatable character as a strong single mom taking care of her daughter. The chemistry between Kayla and Tanner is off the charts and makes for such a good read! This book is the right combination of sweet, spicy and emotional!

No Strings Attached: A Steamy Stand-Alone Romance by Lara Ward Cosio. I have read most of Lara Ward Cosio’s books now and know I can always count on her to deliver an enticing read- and this story certainly lived up to expectations.
This is a sweet and sexy, slow-burn romance with just the right amount of tension and drama to keep me hooked. The characters are really well developed, with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They really brought this story to life. Their chemistry was quite intense. I really loved the funny banter and quips- it made for a fun read and definitely gave me more than a few laughs. But, as I have come to expect from Lara Ward Cosio, there is also a heartwarming and emotional factor to the story, too- which I loved.
Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next….

First, I just want to say this is one of the most entertaining opening scenes I’ve ever read. I could literally see this scene played out in my head. I like the interaction between Kayla and Tanner. I found myself laughing out loud at their dialogue. Refreshingly real. When the ex (her baby’s daddy) enters the picture, I think every mom can sympathize with her here. Being torn between the fact that they have a kid together vs his reoccurring pattern. Even when logically clear, it gets emotionally blurry. A wonderful story single moms need to read who feel like they don’t have time to date. This was my first book from this author and so glad for this introduction to her writing style! Will be watching for more books from her!

This book is so well written and so easy to fall into. I simply couldn’t put it down. Author Lara Ward Cosio really knows how to turn out an amazing tale. So many emotions go through you as you read this story. I really related with Kayla and the issues she faced. I laughed out loud so much that this tale includes that added bonus of enjoyment and entertainment that is very healing for the soul. I love a book with a strong female lead who proves although men are important in our lives we do not need them to survive and enjoy life. Kayla has it all, a career where she is excelling, a beautiful albeit small apartment, a lovely daughter and great friends. Her daughter’s father is more absent than not from both of their lives and Kayla is ok with that. She has dedicated her life to making her daughter’s life stable and good.
However, an attractive attentive man who has it all, except a woman to share it with, shows up in Kayla’s life and the attraction is instant. Tanner is handsome, dedicated to his work and sister and a family oriented man. He doesn’t have kids of his own but he dotes on his nephews. The vibes and funny antidotes that the author so descriptively uses will make you want more. Even at the end with the HEA I found myself wishing there was more to the story. A charming read that leaves the reader feeling good, No Strings Attached, will leave you wishing for more story even just a side story that includes life for these two people after the HEA.

No Strings Attached is an excellent contemporary romance by Lara Ward Cosio. I have read several books by this author and have to say that this is the one I have enjoyed the most. I really connected with this book from the very beginning and was kept gripped and entertained by the story right up to the very end.
Kayla, a single mum of adorable 4 year old Emmy, has been watching the sexy builder working across the road from her house. Unknown to her, sexy builder Tanner has had he eye on the sexy redhead he sees at the window opposite his construction site. When they have a chance meeting in the local coffee shop, could this be the start of something good?
While pretending that there is more to their friendship to Tanner’s sister and Kayla’s ex, they soon discover that their strings relationship might just be something more.
I really loved the characters of Kayla and Tanner. In addition to the main characters there is a great cast of secondary characters that really add so much to the story, particularly Tanner’s sister and the 3 adorable kids, Emmy (Kayla’s daughter) and Max and Matt (Tanner’s adorable twin nephews). I’m a total sucker for cute kids in a book and these 3 stole my heart.
No Strings Attached is a really enjoyable read and I’d definitely recommend it.

No Strings Attached by Lara Ward Cosio was the first book by Ms WC that I have read and I have to say I loved it from start to finish! Such great characters and a wonderful storyline that had a great mix of fun, laughter and tears.

Single mum Kayla is focused on her beautiful daughter and her management position at work she doesn’t have time for some hot guy to come along and shake things up but that’s exactly what Tanner does when he comes into her life. Nether intend their for “friendship” to be more than something to create mutual satisfaction with no strings attached, it soon becomes apparent though that avoiding those strings isn’t going to be so after all. Throw in an annoying Ex returning and a well meaning little sister and you definitely have some interesting times ahead.

This author never disappoints! I LOVED this story and its characters. It is very relatable on many levels. It has highs and lows and hits all the emotional buttons.

Its hard to pick a favorite character because I enjoy each for different reasons. We read from each of their POV so its easy to feel what they are feeling. I really enjoyed Tanner because of his work ethic but also his helpfulness and love. I liked that the children were written well and antics are within their age brackets.

Overall this is a definite one click. I loved the humor, sense of family, romance and how this has many layers. This author nailed this one!

A story of second chances. Cassandra Verlice ran from Rhett Farris five years ago. Cassandra isn’t really sure why she ran. All the reasons she had when she left didn’t make sense after her plane took off and she was on her way to a new life. When Cassandra received the call that an aunt she barely knew willed her a house practically in Rhett’s back yard, it didn’t matter. Cassandra was just going to walk away. A startling experience made Cassandra realize that all she wanted in her life was Rhett. If she went back, could she win him back? Would he even talk to her? Her plan was nearly perfect.

Rhett Farris’ life was in the process of major adjustment. His brother, Tom, had gotten downsized just days prior to his wife leaving him via email. Tom moved in with their father, whose diagnosis of dementia was becoming more apparent. When the senior community their father was living in got shut down, Rhett asked Tom and their father to move home. If that wasn’t enough, she sauntered back onto Rhett’s ranch. Cassandra Verlise.

Rhett and Cassandra could have a second chance if Rhett is willing to forgive. Rhett and Tom could have a second chance if they can work together regarding their father. Rhett and his father could have a second chance at a relationship in the time that his father has left if Rhett can put old anger and hurt aside. Can Rhett capture any of these chances? Only one is answered. The others are left open for interpretation. I hope there is a sequel so that some of the questions can get answered!

Two hunks vying for your attention…what a problem to have! Kayla had a seriously hot romance with Rad. It fizzled so that he could continue his journey as a rock star in Europe. Kayla was hurt but survived because the relationship gave her a daughter. Kayla has dedicated her life to her daughter for the last five years. Kayla’s best friend is encouraging Kayla to go out and have a life. Just as Kayla starts to do that, Rad shows back up.

Tanner is crazy busy right now. He is leading a crew on a new building. He is helping his pregnant sister care for her twin boys while her husband is deployed. He is trying to start his own contracting firm so that his brother-in-law comes home to job. He has no time for a relationship or dating despite what his sister thinks. When Tanner catches the woman from the apartment across from the construction site checking him out in the coffee store, he accidentally uses her name to get out of another set up by his sister. Except, now his sister wants to meet her. Will Kayla agree to this scheme? Is it more than it appears?

The chemistry between Kayla and Tanner left scorch marks on my phone! I was hooked from the beginning. There were great moments and then moments I just wanted to smack Rad. Rad’s only redeeming quality is that he figured out how important his daughter is. Great read!
