Wrong For Him is a great contemporary romance by Christi Barth. This was my first time reading this author’s work and I’m very glad that I chose to read this book as I really enjoyed it.
Wrong For Him is a ‘Best Friend’s Little Sister’ book. As much as I enjoy reading these, I do wonder is it really such a bad thing to be seeing your best friend’s little sister? Why is it such a taboo? As is quoted in this book – if a person is your best friend, you obviously think very highly of them and trust them, so why would you not want that to be the type of person for your little sister to get involved with. Just a thought!
I really loved Teague and Amelia’s story. Both are such amazing characters and I loved reading their banter. Their friendship is as solid as a rock and I could have read about them for hours and hours.
I loved the overall dynamic of the book. It’s not just Teague and Amelia’s story. Alex and Everleigh are huge characters and play large and vital role in this great story. In addition to these is a great list of secondary characters who also add a great deal to the story.
I really loved reading this book and would definitely recommend it.

This story is about Amelia Kirkland and  Teague Sullivan. Teague is best friends with Amelia’s brother Alex. Amelia has always had feelings for Teague, that is until they move in together. Teague, Alex, Ever, and Amelia won a hotel and decided they would all move into and run the hotel together. Teague and Amelia share the same apartment. Now Amelia has to figure out if she will embrace her feelings for Teague or if she will let them go forever. This is the third book of the Love Lottery series. I did not read the first two books, I feel that it is not necessary. It’s a good story. I liked it.

Amelia has been attracted to her brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember, he was her first love and no one has really matched him, but when she starts a job and they are working together can she keep it professional or will the sparks fly.

Teague is back to his home town after leaving the specials forces but she was always the light at the end of the tunnel. Amelia is his best friends sister and has always been off limits but his attraction has always been strong, but when they start working together sparks fly between and before time they are declaring their love for each other.

This story is the first I have read by this author and I loved the writing, I thought the characters were well developed and the chemistry between the two main characters jumped off the page. Although that said I did feel that the relationship was sped up and before you know it Teague and Amelia were friends on one page and the next they were desperately in love and I got a bit confused if I had skipped some pages or even a chapter but this did not distract from the story.

The secondary characters also added to the story and I really enjoyed the romantic aspect and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

This is an ever changing story. I have not read the first two in this series but don’t feel like I am missing anything. This one tells of the long time crush that Amelia has had with her brother’s bestie from childhood to current day. There is that lovely push/pull between them as well as the secret that is kept. It’s fun, heart wrenching and full of great characters! I enjoyed meeting these characters and learning all about them.

It took me a little bit to get into the story. While I ended up liking it, I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I did like how Amelia and Teague’s friendship developed into a romance despite the obstacles they had as well as their history. I think the depth of their background together added an interesting dimension to the group dynamic as well. I would definitely read more books by this author and possibly the first two in the series. Even though books like these are standalones, I always feel I’m missing something when I don’t start from book one.

Wrong for Him by Christi Barth is a sweet forbidden romance. One where the best friend’s little sister is off limits. While reading it I got a Hallmark movie feel from it, which definitely kept me interested. Christi Barth did not disappoint, I loved this book!
Amelia, Alex, Everleigh, and Teague were going through a rough patch in their lives. Until one Christmas Eve that all changed. They bought these scratch-offs thinking nothing could come of it, little did they know they were about to win a quaint little Inn in Chestertown, MD.
This story revolves around the trials and tribulations of running an Inn with your best friends and family.
Would it work out?
Would they fail?
You would have to take a gander to find out for sure.
On top of all that, there’s a forbidden romance building between Amelia and Teague. Amelia being Alex’s little sister and Teague’s best friend is off-limits. Unfortunately for either one of them, trying to navigate the feelings that they develop for one another is a different story.
Christi Barth did a wonderful job keeping me as the reader, “in the wanting to know what happens next category, between Teague and Amelia.” Also how that dynamic would affect the Inn they are running together as a whole.
If you have a guilty pleasure of watching Hallmark movies like I do, this book is definitely for you!

Christi Barth’s Wrong For Him, is a story about a group of four friends that stick together to support each other. Alex and Amelia are siblings, but when their parents died in a car crash when Amelia was 11 years old, Alex became her legal guardian. Tasked with raising Amelia, Alex became overprotective and felt the need to continue his role even after she became an adult. Teague was Alex’s best friend and had lived with him off and on before the death of his parents. Everleigh was getting over a boyfriend that she had caught cheating on, but kicked her out of the apartment. All four formed a tight family type unit. They were together at Christmas, where they had agreed not to buy presents, since all of them were down on their luck and not sure if they would even have a home by New Years. When Amelia gets an email notification, she opens it and shows the winning lottery ticket, making Alex the new owner of the Three Oaks Inn in Chestertown, Maryland. Alex decided that all four of them would be owners, and they would all start fresh with a new life.

There is one small problem with their plan. The Inn required a full overhaul. After investing all of his savings into fixing the Inn, Amelia found herself moving into the top floor of the Inn’s pool house with Teague. Everleigh had moved in with her new boyfriend, and Alex had moved in with his new girlfriend. When Amelia gets asked to speak at a county garden club, she reveals her feelings about Teague to Daisy, the grandmother of Alex’s girlfriend. Daisy tells her to try to pursue her love interest. The following day, the pair go exploring a cupola that was not rentable yet. What they find inside, causes Teague to reminisce on the care packages Amelia had sent him while he was in the military. Despite concerns about losing a friendship with Alex for Teague and even a friendship they already had, the two begin their secret romance. How long will they be able to keep their relationship a secret? If it is discovered, will the family unit get destroyed?

I did not read the first two stories in this series yet, but they are absolutely on my TBR list after reading this one! The story starts with a lottery win at the best possible time for the ‘family.’ It then goes into Amelia revealing to ‘us’ that she has been in love with Teague for many years. The whole beginning of the book is her heart and her brain arguing over the correct course of action. What do you do when you’re in love with your brother’s best friend – whom you grew up with – especially when he treats you like his very own little sister? You suck it up until everyone around you tells you what you need to hear – GO FOR IT. Teague’s side of the story really isn’t all that different. He wants her, he’s infatuated with her, but he is terrified of ruining his relationship with his best friend. Essentially, the two give in to their feelings and attempt to date in secret. Secrets that big never stay secrets for long – especially when you’re constantly around the person/people you’re attempting to keep it from. After everything that they have both been through in their pasts, it was heartwarming to see their love flourish and know that they got the happy ending that they both deserved. I will definitely be going back to read the first two (as I am extremely curious about the other couples), and I recommend you do the same! They’re sweet stories, easy to read in one or two sittings, and the characters are so easily lovable. Christi did an amazing job creating this world and these people. I look forward to reading more from her!

I just finished Wrong for Him by Christi Barth, book 3 in the Love Lottery Series. I unfortunately did not read the prior books in this series so in the beginning chapters I was playing catch up with some of the characters so did read reviews and summaries of the prior two books to help me figure out certain people. I recommend starting at book 1, unlike what I did! I was into the story so I continued on and wasn’t too behind on the character developments.

I did enjoy this book but I wanted to yell at Amelia’s brother, Alex, way too often. He seems arrogant and over the top protective of his adult sister, who has fallen in love with Alex’s best friend, Teague. Everyone else around the pair could see the dynamic and complete compatibility of this couple but they were forced to keep their relationship a secret because they were both intimidated by what Alex would say and do. As an adult, I feel they are both entitled to their feelings without any say from other parties. But this was the only character I just did not enjoy, personality wise. The book was sweet and showed how friendships form into better family than your blood relatives. The main characters had good storylines that kept me interested in their development. Definitely would recommend!

Wrong for Him is book three in the Love Lottery series by Christi Barth. I haven’t read anything by this author and while I enjoyed the story, I believe I would have benefited by reading the first two books. Although I felt a little left behind, the story was an easy to read and entertaining one. I love a brothers best friend love story, and this one delivered all the good elements that make these stories unputdownable. It was really good and the characters were easy to relate to and the storyline believable. Engaging and lovely, this sweet romance had just enough edgy passionate moments and wit to keep the intrigue at a high. Great cast. Great depth. Great writing. 4 stars.

No Strings Attached: A Steamy Stand-Alone Romance by Lara Ward Cosio

Out of curiosity I decided to look at the books I had read written by this author, and I have read all but one of her books.  Trying to figure out how I missed the one I did.

I absolutely loved this story.  From the way Tanner and Kayla meet to how they end up spending more time together to the very end.

Emerson was absolutely precious and I coild not get enough of her and her cuteness and how Kayla was so determined to make sure her daughter was happy and settled even if it was to her own detriment which I got since I was once a single mom to a precious little girl.

I’m not sure if my ability to relate to Kayla made me love this story more or not, but really did fall in love.

Wrong for Him (Love Lottery Book 3) by Christi Barth is a contemporary romance that is a friend to lovers and brothers’ best friend story. It is heart-warming and entertaining and has the right amount of tension and angst and humour to give it that bit more. It is also fun with witty banter that had me laughing out loud. Christ has a way with telling her stories that are engaging. The push and pull dynamic between the characters made it a slow burn tale sweet.

She is determined to be more than just the little sister and he can’t believe he is worthy of a relationship. Not only do they find more on the historical building than they thought but maybe they can find more for themselves.

It is an easy story for a quiet afternoon escape.

Wrong for Him (The Love Lottery Series Book 3) by Christi Barth is an amazing short romance read. Having read both of the first books in this series I was littler leery to pick up book three but once I got into it I was so glad I did. I personally love the characters in this novel and the fact that they had a close friendship before they become romantically involved just made it that much better. While this story is based on romance you learn about the characters pasts like their childhood drama, what makes them tick, and oh so much more. While I do think that emotions develop a little quickly this book is filled with strong emotions that run deep, a writing style that flows beautifully, and very well developed characters. Ms. Barth really put tons of details into this short story and this reader can’t wait for more.

This is a sweetly romantic book. Amelia has had a crush on Teague her whole life. When the opportunity of a lifetime drops into their laps to run a hotel, they go for it. Along with her brother (who happens to be Teague’s best friend), they go through a series of challenges. They somehow come out on the other side together and love each other. A well-written story that just flows together and reminds a little of a slightly “dysfunctional” family with the bickering amongst themselves, etc. But there is also laughing, hijinks and fun adventures. A good read to lift some of your spirits. Highly recommend.

I was pulled into the story and didn’t want to put this one down and i thought it was well a well written story. The main characters were great and made the story that much more enjoyable. Kayla fell in love with Rad, a rock star, which left her a single mother to her 4-year-old daughter Emmerson. Rad left to follow the “journey” of his life but pops up with no warning. Kayla has made do with a job she doesn’t love, but she has given up being frivolous to be the mother her daughter deserves.
Tanner is a construction worker who is working across from Kayla’s apartments. He is surprised one morning when turning around in the coffee shop is the beautiful woman he has seen watching his construction site from her window. Even more amused, he catches her staring at his behind.
Kayla and Tanner both have their plates overflowing even though they both feel the pull to the other. They agree to a no string attached relationship, but can they stick to it? As they get to know each other, and support each other as friends, will their feelings become too much to ignore anymore?
This was great story. I had a hard time liking Rad at first, he is pushy and only looking out for himself but finally being able to relate to his daughter made me like him a bit more. I like how relatable Lara Ward Cosio’s characters are. These are settings and circumstances that I have been in or have seen with my friends.

No strings attached was a lovely warm hearted romance. I smiled throughout the book when they were on the right path in their relationship, and groaned when they just couldn’t get it right. I thought all of the characters were realistic and genuine. It was such a relatable story that it made me think about similar situations I’ve encountered in my life. By the end of the book I was cheering for Kayla. It’s a good read.

This was a great 5 star read, I had a LOL moment in the beginning when these two met. Let’s just say Kayla got caught checking out Tanner’s assets. She is a single mother not looking for anything serious, Tanner feels the same way, he’s too busy with work to commit to a relationship. Kayla and Tanner come up with a mutual agreement to satisfy their needs with no commitment.

There is a twist and Kayla’s ex comes to town, looking to get his family back. Will he succeed or will her feelings for Tanner go deeper than friends with benefits?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and lovable, especially Tanner and his helping his sister while her husband was deployed. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you into the story. I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today on this must read.

Tanner and Kayla set the pages on fire!!! The chemistry between Tanner and Kayla is just magical, on so many levels. I really enjoyed how this book explored the realities of being a parent and wanting to put your child’s best interests first. Watching the relationship between Tanner and Kayla develop was magical, heart wrenching, exciting and heart warming. I laughed out loud so many times because Kayla is so honest and real. You also get to read both Tanner and Kayla’s point of view throughout the book which makes it so much better. On the surface this book might appear to be a light romance but once you start reading it, you realize that there is so much more to it than that. It really tugs at the heartstrings and had me holding my breath in so many spots. I will absolutely be looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Kayla and Tanner are so perfect together! Lara Ward Cosio knows how to write a delicious romance.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Just LOVED this book!! The story of Kayla and Tanner. This book had moments of me laughing to smiling from ear to ear to my pulse racing!! Kayla is a single mom with a 4 year old little girl. She is so focused on raising Emerson while having a career of her own. A encounter at the local coffee shop, she meets Tanner. All Tanner can offer Kayla at this point is a little fun with no strings attached. Tanner has his own career while he is helping out his sister with his twin nephews while his brother in law is deployed. Things get a bit complex with Tanner and Kayla as they have this back and forth of no strings attached fun but then feelings come into play. Tie in more complexity when Kayla’s ex and Emerson’s father comes back trying to get a second chance with Kayla and raising Emerson.

I just loved this story. Sweet moments mixed with some hot moments and a sprinkle of complex feelings all wrapped into a great book!! Loved Tanner and Kayla’s story!!

Her characters are just utterly amazing Kayla a single mom of a four year old, and Kyle a strong, attractive construction worker are just the tip of the iceberg. All of her supporting characters are amazing as well, and the plot literally speaks for itself with how amazing it is. But can Kayla and Tanner really keep their relationship as “no strings attached”? Or will feelings start to come into play? Wrong For Him by Christi Barth is the third book in the Love Lottery series. This book can be read as a Standalone. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was an entertaining story. I liked the whole lottery ticket idea and how it created an opportunity for the characters.
I thought it was quite a quick paced story. The development seemed to happen pretty fast.
The characters were all likeable. I was necessarily blown away by them but I became invested in their story and wanted to see how things would would out. This is an overall enjoyable story that is certainly worth the read.

No Strings Attached: A Steamy Standalone Romance by Lara Ward Cosio is a great story that was so easy to read. I loved the characters in this book. They are relatable and really engaging. They have such a chemistry between them right from the start. They are the kind of characters you instantly get behind.
I have a read a few books by this author now and I always find her work to be entertaining. This book is well written and such an enjoyable book. I have no issues connecting with the story and thought it was a great book. This is definitely worth your time.

This was such a fun read! The characters are relatable and it’s just a good story. You begin to root for them and laugh a bit along the way too. Just enough steam! Well written and a nice, fast read. I’d read more by this author, no doubt!
