Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin was an interesting and fascinating read. The author transports readers to another world. It was fascinating to me to read how the world was divided and the different types of governments that existed to rule. The Nation sounded like a cruel and terrifying place to live. I was shocked with the horrors Micah and Neve were forced to face before escaping. The story begins with them at a refugee camp trying to attain citizenship ship in the New Republic. This was definitely a book I don’t usually read and I enjoyed it.

Sky to Sea was an incredible, heartfelt novel! There was so much involved in the novel (I won’t go into details because spoilers) that ring so true with society today. From forbidden love, to different nationalities, and mental illness, this novel touches on so many topics that are relevant today in real life. I didn’t read the first novel, but this one grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I couldn’t stop reading it! I can’t wait to read the first one and the last one! I highly recommend this novel, it is also fitting for any each, young adult to adult.

It is one of my favourite things discovering a new author. This is the second book in the series but my own habit first book I have read by this author and this series. I didn’t find it hard to follow the story and was totally engrossed in the book. I find the author’s created world very interesting and unique. I like the romance undertone to the book and the bits of drama that unfold through the whole book.
Neve and Micah’s forbidden love is just such a heart gripping part of the story. The drama that they went through to get where they are and the drama that follows on. I really found that the world the author created could in someways mirror reality now a days. I found myself really drawn to Micah’s character and the traumas he endured all because he dared to love. I just could not put this book down and I will definitely read more from this author and this series in the future.

I really loved this, I think I even liked it more than the first one which is saying a lot because I loved the first. Micah and Neve are such strong and wonderful characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. In this book there are some mental issues dealt with that was written so well. There are other great supporting characters as well in this dystopian fantasy book. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this story except to say that this series is a must read and I cannot wait to read the next book!!! This author did an exceptional job writing an amazing story, I highly recommend this book.

5 Star Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin Sky to Sea is the second book in Crimson Sash series by Amanda Marin. I do recommend reading this series in order as it will give you better enjoyment and help you understand what is going on. I pretty much stayed on a emotional rollercoaster ride throughout this whole book. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. This story is about Micah, and Neve who is trying to prove themselves to gain there citizenship. Something’s are not easy. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next . Find out what happens next. Do they gain there citizenship? What does their future look like? I highly recommend reading this Book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is the second book in the series and I highly suggest reading the 1st one b4 this one because there is so much going on I think it is needed to have the best reading experience. I was pulled in from page one and I couldn’t put it down. The author has a good writing style and I thought all of the characters were awesome. Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) By Amanda Marin. This is the second book in this series and I really think you should read the first one to really get the story. I’m not a huge fan of this genre but I loved this book. Its the story of Neve Hall a strong, independent young woman and Micah Ward a young man that has been thru a lot. They find themselves in the New Republic and think they are home free but in reality they are having to prove themselves worthy of being citizens there. They must convince the Immigration Case Manager that they will be productive citizens to the New Republic. Neve and Micah find themselves at the center of a battle when tensions occur between the New Republic and the Nation. They are kidnapped and held hostage and until the Nation meets their demands they won’t be released and one of the demands is Micah must return! This is a wonderful book that will keep you turning the pages. Read it to find out what happens to Micah and Neve! You will love it!

Sky to Sea is the second book in the series, Crimson Sash by Amanda Marin. I would highly recommend reading the first book, North to Nara to enjoy Sky to Sea fully. Marin has created a beautiful world for the backdrop of this dystopian book. Her characters just fly off the page. This story is about Neve and Micah. They are living in a shelter for refugees as they are trying to get citizenship before they are deported back to the Nation.I have found myself flipping through the pages as I wanted to know what lies ahead for Neve and Micah. It was a roller coaster for sure. I love the twists and turns. What will happen to Neve and Micah? Will they be trapped in between the worlds or will they be able to gain citizenship to live in New Republic?

I will be the first to admit dystopian is not my go-to read genre but once I had read the first book of the Crimson Sash series I knew that I would need to know more and be back again with Amanda Marin and her fabulous collection of characters that we get to know and love in this series. These books are romance but geared to young adults so most of the romance is pg at best so that can be a nice refreshing change of pace if you read a lot of erotica or dark stuff normally.
I really enjoyed reading about Neve and Micah and really I just fell in love with them as a whole. These two are some strong young adults with old souls I felt as I was reading. They kept me engaged and I never found myself overwhelmed with made up jargon or over detailing so that is also a plus with these books. Sky to Sea was probably my most favorite yet and I honestly can’t wait to see what we will get with the next book. I will be back again for sure!

WOW!! I loved the first book of this series but I think this one was even better, I have become so emotionally invested in all of these people …I’m not normally a huge dystopian fan, and also not a huge YA fan, but let me tell you if taking YA and dystopian and throwing them together gives me this? Im sold. Throw in some awesome clean romance and I’m done.
Not sure how to explain this author’s style of writing except smooth and with feeling because I felt it all. I’ve even got the whole picture of their room, the park, everything described in this story I saw it clear in my mind. I was literally transported into the story. It was awesome!
Neve and Micah might just be 2 of my favorite characters ever. They were both just so sincere…I just can’t say enough about this whole book. Simply amazing! You truly have no idea what is going to happen or why from one page to another and I could not put it down!
This is a continuing storyline, although it may be possible to read this as a stand alone i do not recommend it and it’s so good you won’t be sorry reading them in order. It does not end in a holy moly throw your kindle kind of way, but does end where you feel like you wont make it till the next is released. Not sure what is in store for Neve and Micah but I know I’ll be one of the first in line to find out!!

OMG this author is amazing! She makes me really *feel* the emotions of these two. I am totally involved in their plight! I want them to have a hoppy ending. Just not sure that is going to happen. So every time it goes south for them…my heart plummets I am scouring my mind to see what can be fixed or changed so that doesn’t happen. Then everything just seems to go right and my heart soars! Happiness! But inevitably down… down we go again.
If you can’t tell I really empathize with these characters. The writing is so smooth I can’t believe how easy I get caught up into this story. The characters draw me in and really don’t let go. I think about them even when I’m not reading. I love these two!

This epic YA fantasy has all the marks of a hallmark series. This second book continues to explore a romance in a dystopian world that somehow resonates loudly to today and I believe will ring true to readers of all ages. Neve and Micah are strong characters that I’m thankful to have had another chance to travel through their world with. Marin does a beautiful job writing their story and I love her easy way of telling an epic tale. Loved it from start to finish.

Sky to Sea by Amanda Marin is the second book in the Crimson Sash series. This is a wonderful YA/dystopian story with the main characters, Neve Hall and Micah Ward. Neve and Micah are trying to prove themselves in the New Republic so they can gain citizenship. But the best things are not always easy. The two are quickly put to the test amid the New Republic and the Nations relationship becoming explosive. I highly recommend reading the books in order to get the full story and enjoyment out of this series. This is well written and the characters are great. I really want to know more of Neve and Micah’s story and am awaiting the next book in the series.

Sky to Sea by Amanda Marin is the is the second book in the Crimson Sash series. This series does need to be read in order to fully understand what is happening. It had been a while since I had read book one but I found it really easy to pick up from where it left off. I soon found myself immersed back into the characters and their stories. This book was well paced and exciting. You really have to feel for Neve and Micah. They really thought they had found the place for them to be safe and happy and instead they find themselves mixed up in more turmoil. The author has done a great job with the continuation of this series and I can wait to see what comes next.

Sky to Sea: Crimson Sash- Book 2 by Amanda Marin is a YA dystopian romance that is filled with suspense and action, fear and longing, love and suffering. Amanda paints a vivid and clever picture of the world she has created and her character building is spot on.
Neve and Micah are learning to live a new life after escaping from the Nation. They build their lives on the hope that they will be given refugee status and are doing everything they can to make that happen. But they continue to live with the horrors and the pain and suffering they were dealt before reaching New Republic and now must seek help.
Unfortunately life is never that easy and they find themselves in danger of once again being in the clutches of the Nation.

The story Sky to Sea (Crimson Sash Book 2) by Amanda Marin is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is the second book in a series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. It pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself lost in the story. I loved reading about Neve Hall and Micah Ward. Neve is a young woman who is intelligent, strong, and in love with Micah. Micah is a young man who has survived a lot. He is haunted by the past. When he and Neve find themselves in the New Republic, they believe that they will be safe in a land that will be wonderful to live in. What they find is different than they imagine. They find themselves having to prove that they are worthy of citizenship. Not only that they find themselves in the middle of things when tensions rise between the Republic and the Nation. What will happen to them when they are kidnapped by a group of radicals? What does the future hold for Neve and Micah? Read this book to find out. I loved Neve and Micah in the first book and loved reading about them again in the second one. I can’t help but root for them to find happiness. This book had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. The author does a wonderful job in world-building and I felt like I was right there with Micah and Neve. There are other characters that I enjoyed reading about. Some of them are helpful to Micah and Neve, others seem to have their own agenda. This is a series that I would read in order so that you fully understand the storyline. This is a book and series I would recommend reading.

Sky to Sea is the second book in the Crimson Sash Series by Amanda Marin. It is YA fantasy, with dystopian elements, romance, sci-fi, action, adventure, and drama. We met Neve Hall and Micah Ward in book one. We re-join them as their story continues. After the events in book one, Micah and Neve really had all their hopes of a happy new beginning pinned on the New Republic. But you know what they say about best laid plans. Tensions between the Republic and Nation rise, which results in Micah and Neve finding themselves right in the middle of it all. Tensions mount, while being torn between the two nations. And expected, Ms. Marin puts them to the test. What ensues is well worth the read. This was a great continuation to the storyline, and I found it to be just as intriguing as the first book. Another beautiful cover which attracted me even before I realised what the book was. Looking forward to reading book #3.

North to Nara (Crimson Sash Book 1) by Amanda Marin is a story that I fell in love with the characters. It is a YA dystopian tale and it reminds me along the lines of The End Game and the like. It’s a story about reigning rulerships that live under antiquated laws, where those who don’t abide by them are punished. It is a story of love that is forbidden and torn apart just for being in love. I enjoyed Amanda’s writing and the story flowed easily and my heart ached for the injustice these beautiful characters went through. It is a great start to the series and as a debut book for Amanda. I am now chomping on the bit for the next book.
Neve believed in all the world had to offer but that was before she came face to face with the truth, a truth that is kept from everyone. She never meant to fall in love with the wrong man but that is exactly what happened, and now they have to face the punishment.

North to Nara (Crimson Sash Book 1) by Amanda Marin is a dystopian novel. This was a captivating read with the excellent imagery of another world outside of reality. The level of detail with the society, the interactions, the characters and the events that occurred was on par and completely well done. Neve Hall was a fierce character with undeniable attributes that hold true to her beliefs and values; when those are tested, Neve’s life is subject to twist into another direction. Amanda Marin has outdone herself in this initial novel to the series, Crimson Sash, from the development of the story line to the main and supporting characters. The way the emotional waves are written, you can practically feel them dripping from the pages at times. This story held my attention and I looked forward to each new chapter to see where we were heading next. Well written, excellently delivered – a great story!!

I was hooked on this story as soon as I started reading it. This author did an amazing job bringing me into the story so much so that I felt like I was there along for the adventure. I fell in love with Neve and Micah’s story. I couldn’t help myself but to keep turning pages to find out where their story would lead, I found myself wanting it to work out for them. North to Nara by Amanda Marin is the first book in the Crimson Sash series. This is a great start for a new series. Set in a dystopian world the story follows Neve and Micah. The two are not supposed to be forging a relationship but cannot resist one another. I really liked the characters and the relationships between the primary and secondary characters. Between the building of a world, story and characters I did not want to put this story down. I am looking forward to where the series goes and hope to see some of the secondary characters be featured more. There seem to be many interesting stories to come.

Oh My Goodness..I loved this story, I kept trying to slow myself down so that it would not end quite so fast. Neve and Micah’s story was heartbreaking…their crime? Love and holy moly following them and their story was completely addictive. I want more like right now! LOL
This is a dystopian novel and is told in a way that’s a bit different then Im used to. Everything in some parts felt so normal and real then theres the other parts that reminded me there was nothing normal about it.
I’ve only recently started choosing dystopian themed stories and this one went far and beyond my expectations. The cover is absolutely gorgeous and the story was no different. I loved the family aspect of this story (especially Rafe’s part in it) and the friendship between Neve and Tali which I hope is in future books of this series.
Oh I wish I could go on and on about the storyline but I’m not going to, I just can’t wait for the next and to see what lies ahead for these two people.
The writing in this story is absolutely beautiful and the smooth flow will have me watching for anything and everything this author brings us!

Gotta say, the first thing that drew me to this book is that it sounded a lot like the Giver mixed with a splash of 1984. Second would be that the girl on the cover looks like Mila Kunis. I have always been extremely empathetic and the fact that in this world, there are empaths to deal with your pain for you is intriguing to say the least. The life of one such empath could ONLY be one of loneliness and pain so for our main character Neve to want to bring love to the life of the man who replaced her former Sufferer really hit me right in my easily activated little tear ducts. I am so excited that this is the first of a series. I hope it is a long one! Sidenote- I am hoping for a prequel novella, if not a complete novel. A world like this needs some introduction and I would love to hear more about the Nation beforehand.

It would be easy to compare this book to so many great books to come before it. Divergent, Romeo and Juliet and maybe a dash of A Handmaid’s Tale come to mind. This takes the best part of those stories and turns them into a pure beauty of a novel. While this may be a story of doomed young lovers, it is also about how society judges and how it is slow to adapt, something we could learn from in my opinion. This is the first book in the series and I think it did a great job getting me to be invested in the characters and the situation in which they find themselves. I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat flipping pages to see what was going to happen next and I can’t wait to do it some more in the next book.

North to Nara (Crimson Sash 1) By Amanda Marin was unlike anything I have read before. The way the author grabbed me with her words, her world she created, and such amazing characters I was able to get lost so easily in this amazing world. The society of this book really is what helped draw me in, as it is a dystopian world. I loved the heartbreak, I loved the heartwarming, I loved feeling like I was right in the middle of this amazing book. When Neve is given her empath is quickly retired, she is given Micah. As they grow closer, she knows that behind his smile, there is a story that tells a tale of loneliness and sadness. She knows empaths are not given the life of love and she has to decide does she follow her heart or the love of her nation?
Not many words stay with me, but, Behind the beauty is heartache…unless their love can save them, has become a favorite quote. An amazing five star read that I HIGHLY recommend.

North of Nora presents a time that I would never like to see. A time where we are under dictatorship. I never want to be put in a position where it could mean life or death. Where my freedom is taken and I am marked as a traitor. Micah is a strong and brave character and I liked him more when he stood up for Neve. The whole story was deep and slightly emotional. You have these teens that just want to live but there are laws and people to fear. The author really makes you think with this story. Not only because of the outcome or the steps taken to get there. But because this could very well be our reality. This could happen to us. The author plays with you for a while and then does the unexpected. Yeah I’m hooked on this story. Review by @gguerrero89

North to Nara (Crimson Sash Book 1) by Amanda Marin 4 out of 5 stars This dystopian fantasy novel is a fantastic debut novel to this series. This story was both vibrant and enigmatic. I was hooked from the first chapter. This is very reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet of the star crossed lover’s territory, without the tragic double suicide. Very forbidden love. Neve and Micah are both intriguing characters that are very engaging and you will easily fall into their lives, their wants and their desires. Micah is so sweet to Neve and Neve supports Micah with all of her heart and soul. The emotion between these two is so strong you can feel it through the pages. Ms Martin did an incredible job of creating a world full of vibrancy, emotion, and passion. I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
