Another good book by this author. I always like reading shifter books with a twist. Something that is a little different than the norm. And this one did not disappoint. There was enough drama and twists in the story to make it interesting and not at all predictable. It also included a bit of romance, which I like. Dangerously Close to Extinction is definitely worth a read and I look forward to reading more from C.A. King.

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King was a pretty okay read that kept me reading.
The first book in a new fun series, I went in with an open mind and excitement. As an avid reader of this authors works I knew I was in for something original, twisted and action packed. I will say that this book hit most points, but it did, for me, lacked a little when it came to the romance. But I think that more so had to do with the fact this book is a pretty short read. Coming in at 184 pages, there was a lot packed into this wonder, so I believe the love-development might have suffered because of that. To be a little blunt, it felt forced and a little off balanced, but I believe and hope that as this series goes on, it will even out. Just needs a bit more time for it to fully become believable.
Overall this book is worth your time and the read. It’s well written, well built, and it will hook you. It has a strong plot, that stands on its own, and the action and shifter lore was on point. To end, this book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

C.A. King has written another Beautiful story! In this book the Shifters are amazing! I love the twist and turns that this cats vs. dogs story has to offer. Knollville sounds like an interesting place and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series of legends.

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King
5-Stars
Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King was a fun and exciting fantasy novel. I loved Tawny and Felix and the variety of shifters in this novel. The author did an amazing job and was very creative with them. I also really enjoyed the plot and felt that the storyline was easy to follow. The reader is immediately pulled in at the start of the novel with the mention of Tawny’s dad disappearing. The story progressed quickly from the start which made it difficult for me to put down.
Something else I enjoyed about this novel was the artistic cover. It was very appealing and I felt like it drew me in and helped increase my interest in reading the novel.
Overall this novel was an easy and enjoyable read. I definitely look forward to the next book in the series and I highly recommend it!

Dangerously Close to Extinction by C.A King was a great read! I really struggled to put this book down. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I loved the air of mystery and all of the questions that you get right at the beginning. Tawny was a fun character to read, I loved her quirks and had a lot of the same questions she did.

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King. This is the first book in the Knollville Legends book and I loved it. Its the story of Anthony Puma and his daughter named Tawny. Tawny is a young woman who has 2 rival gangs after her only to get to her father. Tawny is also a WereCat and she has no idea. She also has no idea why people are after her dad but when all these secrets from her past start coming to light it begins to make sense. Throw in one of the guys after her being super hot and throws a whole new spin on everything. This book is full of shifters, werewolves, dangerous adventures and its for sure a page turner. Its a fun read and I hope the next book continues the story of these characters!

I do not know about you, but when I see my favorite author releases a new book I am all about getting it first and fast. The problem is that I usually finish it right away and need to wait for the next book to read. C.A. King is that author. I love her stories. She really puts in her heart and soul into her work. You can always bet there is action, adventure, likeable characters, characters you do not like, far off lands, and many more exciting things. Dangerously Close To Extinction is no different. There is an adventure that makes you look around every page you turn to see what is going to happen next. The roller coaster ride starts on the first page and ends on the last page. I cannot wait to see what Ms. King is going to write next.

This is a story of werecat shifters. Tawny is a werecat but has no clue. Her father disappeared and now there are a bunch of people looking for him. Werewolves and werecats are the two main shifters here. I like the idea of this story but it seems unsettled. There is just something about this that doesn’t seem to flow. The conversations or the actions of the characters. I felt the “mate” situation need more time to grow. There were harsh words/actions between the two MC’s. Then the next page all is lovey dovey.
This isn’t my first book by this author. Normally I enjoy stepping into her world and seeing what she creates. I love reading shifter stories but this was just fell flat for me.

Dangerously Close to Extinction is the first novel in the Knollville Legends series by C. A. King. This is my second novel by this author.
Finding herself caught between not knowing about her past and being abducted by someone unknown to her, Tawny begins a journey to discover more about herself before it’s too late.
This was an interesting take on the shifter genre and one I hope there is more of. Tawny was a different protagonist then what I normally see and I felt her name fit her character because it was also unique.
There was a lot of twists and turns and left me wanting to quickly turn to the pages to see what happens next.
With school starting again tomorrow, I’m glad I got a chance to read this and can’t wait for the next book.

Dangerously Close to Extinction is the first book in the Knollville Legends series by C.A. King. I have read all of Ms. Kings books now and have loved exploring all her work. She is definitely one of my ‘no questions asked, just one-click it, authors’. Her stories never disappoint, so I didn’t even read the blurb for this story- I just snatched up a copy as fast as I could. So, I really had no idea of what to expect going into the story. I didn’t even know it was the first book in a new series. I saw the beautiful, intriguing, and elegant cover- and Ms. King’s name, and I was sold. This book turned out to be a completely wonderful surprise, in all the right ways. A paranormal/shifter story with an original spin- full of secrets, history, rifts, feuds, mystery, drama, kidnap, missing persons, discoveries, and so much more. Tawny’s father is missing- and there are ‘people’ hell-bent on finding him. She’s a little afraid, especially when she sees some eyes looking into her home one night. She’s heard stories of large animals in the area, so that’s a little disturbing, too. Then she’s pretty much kidnapped… What exactly is going on? What do these ‘people really want? What is so important? And how does her father fit into the picture? What happens when secrets are revealed, and Tawny learns the truth? Will she trust her instincts, and if she does will they lead her astray? WOW… What a great way to start a new series! Colour me impressed! Ms. King certainly knows how to tell a great story- I was hooked right from word go. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series, that’s for sure!!! I wonder what she has in store for us.

C.A. King is a one click author for me and I always enjoy her stories.
This is the first book in a new series about a (fictional?) town called Knollville. Knollville isn’t on a map, can’t be found by GPS and the road is hidden in plain sight.
This story has a different flair than then the stories previously written. It set up as more “horror” with a softer edge. It was fantastic and I was 100% invested from the STUNNING cover to the very last page.
One of my favorite lines: “Beware of the eyes of the beast, cold as steel, and the blood running through its veins. Its heart beats only to serve the demon within”

Dangerously Close to Extinction by C.A. King is the first book in the Knollville Legends series. This is clearly going to be yet another brilliant series by an author that never fails to please. I don’t bother to even read the blurb of the book anymore when it comes to this author. Her work is always so entertaining and thrilling. This book is no exception. You are instantly swept away by her writing and her characters. I just loved Tawny. She was vulnerable and yet so strong. You can’t help but want everything to work out for her. If you haven’t read anything by this author before you need to do so quick and this would be a gem great book to start with!

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King is a unique shifter paranormal story where there is action and drama and soul mates and adventure. Tawny finds herself caught between being chased by the unknown to being kidnapped and not knowing who to trust. She finds out there has always been more to her life than she has ever known. What she does know is that shifters are at war and they have to fight to save them all. I will not say anymore because you have to read it yourself.
This is another great read by CA and one that should not be missed.

I give Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King, 4 stars.
Tawny keeps waiting for her father to get back from wherever he is this time. But in the meantime, she will keep up appearances. She doesn’t want anyone to know she is starting to get worried. But then she sees these eyes looking into the house one night. They seem like they are eyes of a beast. Later, it seems like that beast is following her. She hears tell of very large wolves in the area. Then she is basically kidnapped from her own home. She is told that this group and another even worse are all looking for her father. When she is told what these groups really are, it seems like she stepped into a Hollywood movie. But events happen that make her have to trust these people. But didn’t they kidnap her? And what about the one she can’t stop thinking about? To find her father and unravel the mystery, she has to decide whether or not to go with her instincts.
This is a good introduction to a new series. The characters are interesting and we learn just enough to peak our interest. I cannot wait to see how they evolve throughout future books. The story itself is different and fun. There is a lot of action and it puts a young woman in situations she is not prepared for but readily takes on. You don’t know just where the story with take you next either. I like to be surprised while I read so this was selling point for me.
If you like YA paranormal romance and action, this book is for you.

Tawny is a young woman who’s father disappears. A strange set of sliver eyes seem to be following her but she doesnt know what or who it is. As far as she’s concerned she is just an ordinary girl but when she is kidnapped things become even stranger.
Its a great story full of twists and turns and adventure. I couldn’t put it down

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) By: C.A. King 5 out of 5 stars
The story Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King is a book that I loved reading. It has shifters, mystery, danger, and legends. It pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the character of Tawny. She is a young woman who has two rival gangs wanting her to find her father for them. Tawny is intelligent, strong, beautiful, and stubborn. As clues to her past begin to emerge, she finds herself in a situation that she never believed she would be in. Is she also finding herself falling for one of her captors? What does the future hold for Tawny? Why is her father being sought? Will he be found? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has action and I found myself quickly turning pages as I had to know what happens next. There is humorous and at times sarcastic dialogue that had me smiling and laughing. I enjoyed the legends that are told and explained. Tawny is a character that is likable, and I grew to care about her with each chapter that I read. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading. It is entertaining and well written.
