Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1)Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland is the first book in the Darling Cove series. The story is about Gwen Mallory and Andrew Morgan. The two meet while working at Prada and must learn how to work together. At first, Andrew does not want Gwen invading his area and work but gradually comes to realize life is not the same with Gwen there. This is a sweet story of trust and finding love. If you like the fashion industry and want a story that has challenges but eventually a HEA this is a great story for you. The writing is well done as well as the character development. I look forward to reading more in this series in the future.

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must Have Faith, by Deborah Garland, is the second book in the Darling Cove series. This contemporary romance follows Faith and Greg, who were minor characters in part of the previous book in the series, Must Love Fashion. In Must Have Faith, the reader learns what caused the bride-to-be to bail on her wedding to the love of her life. Regrets, longing, misconceptions, second chances are what is delivered in this story. Faith is a strongly independent character, but she’s missing something in her life and that just may be Greg. Deborah Garland weaves a story of lost love, hope and renewal that is romantic and hard won. A beautiful story about how much love can truly overcome.

A wonderful story! I felt like coming home when I started reading this. The writing is so smooth and inviting that I can’t help but enjoy this book. The characters are all so freaking adorable! I loved how the story started. It got me back with the Mallory Family and took off from there.

Edward what can I say? Fire chief (sexy), architect (smart) and a single father (amazing)and he’s all man. I loved how you ogled Skye from afar never thinking she would go out with you. Your romance was sweet and I enjoyed reading it. But you two are in a pickle now. How to choose? Make the ultimate sacrifice?

I LOVED seeing the whole Mallory clan. They are such a joy and make me smile every scene. Andrew and Greg still so bossy and sexy. They are helpful and full of advice. Faith and Gwen ( both pregnant) leaning over the window seat gawking out the window…at Skye’s Date….so funny. I can totally picture that!! These two girls crack me up. So glad I read their books! Julian is a wonderful character add. He adds fun, spark and a joyfulness to the story.

This is my third book by this author. I enjoy reading her stories. They are full of love, character strength, fun, and some strife. Though not necessary to read the first two in the series. Reading them will enhance your enjoyment of this one. I look forward to the next one!

A great read about struggling. Skye Mallory has always struggled to find happiness. When her flat nearly burns down, she is saved by fire chief Edward Mendelssohn. But when he is being sued by her client, will she follow her heart or protect her career?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Edward trying to raise his son and help others or Skye standing up for herself and surviving pain or Justin as a sweet kid. A great antagonist in Miles as a well written jerk to cause conflicts in the plot. Also loved the sense of a small town and the visual detail of the vivid flames or the bright and colourful and detail
of the artitechturee of the house which was beautifully written. The only issue I would raise is that sometimes the narrative felt a bit repetitive at times. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

4 out of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion is book one in the Darling Cove series written by Deborah Garland and this is the first book that I read by this author and I enjoyed the story. This is a story about two people finding love amidst the kayatic and frenetic pace of a top fashion house. The story line was great and believable, the characters were well written and realistic.
We meet Andrew Morgan, a former male model turned brand manager meets his match in Gwendolyn Mallory, a beautiful small-town public relations specialist he doesn’t think he needs.
She was hired to turn the fashion world upside down…not his.
Gwen sets out to prove she has what it takes to promote a prestigious brand like Prada. Andrew is already struggling to accept his PR responsibilities have been taken away from him, but the intense attraction he has for Gwen is just plain getting in the way of rational thinking—sleeping with a co-worker has always been on his to-don’t list. But Gwen challenges everything Andrew believes about love and relationships as he puts aside his heartbreaking past to have the woman, he never knew he needed.
I highly recommend this story and I can’t wait to see what else this author has writes.

Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland. This was a great start to the Darling Cove series. Gwen and Andrew are both at a point of starting over – Gwen with a new PR Executive job and Andrew with moving on after losing his wife to cancer. Like all office romances, there are some bumps in the road and lots of side glances. But after getting to know each other better; that’s when the sparks really started flying. The side topic of cancer made me an emotional wreck. Not in a bad way just made me think of my life and what is going on. I did love getting the insiders look at the fashion world, very interesting. Deborah’s writing flowed at a great pace that it will keep you reading all day/night long. Really looking forward to seeing what happens next in Darling Cove.

This is the first book in the Darling Cove series and also my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. The author has a good writing style and i was excited to see what would happen as the story went on. I honestly couldn’t put it down. The characters were some of the best, but man of man did my heart hurt for some of them. I laughed and I teared up while reading this book and that’s when you know it was a good one. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series and I would recommend this to a friend.

Must Love Fashion is book one in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. This is my first time reading this author’s work, so I was keen to get started. It is always such a delight to find a talented author to disappear into, and I hit the jackpot with this author.

Gwen and Andrew clash horns over their public relations duties and the tension, attraction and competition runs rampant between them. In the fast paced Fashion house where they work together, there is a myriad of dramatic elements that both captivate and entertain. This story offers so many thrills, spills and pandemonium. It also pulled the heartstrings. Must Love Fashion has a little of everything that will appeal to every taste in literary genius. 5 stars

Must have Faith ( Darling Cove Book 2) by Deborah Garland is the second book in her Darling Cove series. This is about second chances and I couldn’t stop reading till I finished. We met Greg and Faith in the first book and this is their story . These were just a few days from getting married until Faith left him at the Alt now ten years later. Are there feelings for one another still as strong? Can these two get a second chance at love ? I highly recommend reading this book. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series

This the third book in the Darling Cove Series. I think it’s important to read the first two books of the series as there are references made that would be helpful to have knowledge of the characters and events mentioned.

Darling Cove is a small community which still has fairs with pig races and cotton candy and all the other things that makes small towns so much fun.

He is the Fire Chief and she is a lawyer. Together they make sparks. Throw in an adorable son and cute dog and you’ve got a situation that will cause ovaries weep.

This is a story that has multiple story lines (and lots of babies) all working at the same time (much like life). While I absolutely understand the direction the story was going in there were times that it was just “too much”. As a woman who has a “son of my heart” instead of a biological son I 100% understood and related to Skye and Jules relationship.

This is a quick read as were the other books in the series.

“At times she felt like the pesky last candle on a birthday cake that wouldn’t light because she didn’t have a man in her life.”

Must Be Crazy is the incredible third instalment in the Darling Cove Series by Deborah Garland. This story is every bit as wonderful as the previous two books, and surprisingly is now my favourite of the series, so far! Why do I say surprisingly? Well, because we have met these two characters in the previous books, and while I was curious about them, I wasn’t sure I would love Skye, or be able to fully connect with her, or the story. I knew Edward would be a shoo-in, but if I hated Skye, then that would make this reading experience quite difficult.
But, I needn’t have worried, and should have trusted Ms. Garland, as she’s never let me down before. Not only did she (and Skye) win me over- Edward and Skye have now became my favourite couple of the series! Yeah, I was surprised, that’s for sure!! But in a really great, “OMG! I love this book and you have to read it” kind of way!
The story is a touching contemporary romance with a second chances element that really tugged on my heart-strings. It’s romantic, sweet, tender, emotional, heartbreaking, and incredibly steamy story: with wonderful family dynamics (the Mallory’s and the Morgan’s), loyalty, longing, passion, drama, camaraderie, and love.
There are all the brilliant characters we’ve grown to love from the previous books, as well as one who I grew to hate with a passion. That’s one of the things that Ms. Garland does so well- she is able to get her reader to completely invest in her characters and their story, whilst also imbuing the story with so much emotion, which had me smiling, laughing, and sobbing all within the same chapter/s. I think I spent much of the final third of the book sobbing my heart out , struggling to read the story through all of my tears, reading as fast as my eyes would allow just so I could see what happens next.
Skye Mallory is Gwen (Book #1) and Greg’s (Book #2) sister. She’s an attorney who has her own office on main street and lives in the apartment above her office. She’s worked hard to get to where she is and is quite good at her job. But, now that both her siblings have found love, she knows that there is an expectation for her to do the same. Problem is, she’s still stinging from a bad, and quite embarrassing breakup, and isn’t interested in getting hurt again. Plus, there’s the matter of her long-held and devastating secret that she fears to expose. But when her office and apartment catch fire, She’s saved by the very hunky volunteer fire chief. The sparks fly between them and she can’t help wondering if things would be different with him.
Edward Mendelsohn is an architect, volunteer firefighter, single father, and all-round good guy. He hasn’t had a relationship since Julian’s mother walked out on them. Edward’s had his eye on Skye for quite some time, but things hadn’t gone his way when it came to asking her out. He also has Julian, his 7year-old son to consider- he’s Edwards number one priority. When he saves Skye from the fire, things quickly heat up between them and he start to imagine sharing his future with this gorgeous woman.
But a strange turn of events sees them in a legal conflict of interest, which brings their budding romance to a screeching halt. Then to make matters worse, the past comes back with devastating consequences for Edward. Can these two work out these various roadblocks and get their romance back on track? Or have they detoured too far off their path to ever find their way back? What happens when her ‘secret’ is revealed? What does the future hold for these two?
Well, Ms. Garland certainly put these two through the wringer and made them work hard for every ounce of happiness. There was one crisis after another that had me anxiously sitting on the edge of my seat and quite emotionally invested as I followed along. But I just ADORED how Ms. Garland brought everything together in the end!! I was a grinning, teary eyed idiot.
This story/series really deserves to be read and should be on everyone’s TBR list!
I am excited to see what “A Must For Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella” has in store for us and have already pre-ordered it!

Thank you, Ms. Garland!

I enjoyed how I was pulled right in from the beginning of this story. The characters are relatable and lovable. Skye and Edward’s story is one that pulled at my heartstrings but also made it swell. Skye is a woman who has had a run of bad luck plus a secret. When life steps in, she finds she may have to give up everything she has just found. I loved the chemistry between Skye and Edward and found myself hoping that they find their HEA. I highly recommend reading this book to find out.

5 out of 5 stars

The story Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading just as much as the first two. I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put the book down until I was finished with the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Skye Mallory and Edward Mendelsohn. Skye is a woman whose siblings have found their perfect match. Although still stinging from her last break up Skye does wonder what it would be like to have what the others in her family have, a deep love between two people. Skye is also a woman who is keeping a secret from her family. What is that secret and what will happen when or if it is revealed? Edward is the fire chief in town and is interested and intrigued by Skye. He has been waiting for the right moment to ask her out. Be it that when her apartment and business goes up in flames may not be the best time, however, these two soon find themselves going out together. Then a situation arises that threatens to tear these two apart just as quickly as they got together. Both Skye and Edward have an attraction and chemistry that is undeniable. Will they fight for their relationship or will things become too overwhelming for this couple? Will they get a chance for an HEA? Read this book to find out. I found myself falling in love with the characters of Skye and Edward with each chapter that I read. I also loved that some of the other characters that appear are brought forward from the previous books. You find out what has been going on in their lives since last you read about them. This is a wonderfully written book with an amazing plot and characters. I would highly recommend reading it.

A great read about struggles to forgive. Faith Copeland left her fiancee Greg Mallory at the altar ten years ago. When a chance brings Faith back to Darling Cove and reunites her with Greg, will they be able to mend their relationship or always be remembering the past?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Faith doing a hat she loves but standing up for herself or Gregs harsh exterior but protective nature underneath. I really loved about the setting of a small town with its train station and police station small community full of life and people who all know eachother. And loved the sense of the newsroom with long corridors . The only issue I would raise is there was some repetition at times. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Must Love Fashion, by Deborah Garland, is the first book in the Darling Cove series. This contemporary romance is based on two individuals that work within the fashion industry – one more established than the other, but no less determined to find their place and make their mark. Gwen and Andrew were captivating characters in this story from their strong personalities and how they approach and tackle their goals. The chemistry that trickles is hard to deny noting it’s sizzling heat.

The past reflects in how they each approach others and the decisions they make. As things begin to shift in their environments, I really liked how the author allowed the story to play out and building it from there. Must Love Fashion was a pleasant read that I recommend for others who enjoy contemporary romances with a bit more depth, creativity and style.

Must Love Fashion is the captivating debut novel and first book in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. It is a contemporary romance, with second chances and new beginnings. Set in the fashion world, with wonderful characters and a beautifully detailed and descriptive story- Ms. Garland’s debut has certainly made me sit up and take notice. A fantastic start to what I can only imagine will be a superb series!
The story begins when Gwendolyn Mallory answers a ‘Must Love Fashion’ ad. She hasn’t had the best of times lately, with a divorce hanging over her head and some financial issues, she desperately needs to take the next step in her career in the fashion industry- to her dream job. She was excited to land the job, and when she meets the drop-dead-gorgeous, sexy man she would be sharing an office with, her world is turned upside down and her life gets very interesting.
Andrew Morgan is an ex-model turned fashion executive. He works incredibly hard, pouring himself into his job so he doesn’t have to think about his painful past. Andrew is ready for to start his life over but isn’t sure how to go about it. He is a little lost, and his memories kept him locked in the past. He’s been in Milan on business and returns to find he has a new office-mate. To say he isn’t impressed would be a bit of an understatement, but there is definitely something about her that fascinates him and gets under his skin.
As they work closely together, sparks fly and passions are ignited. But this story isn’t quite so smooth sailing, there are some serious obstacles that need to be traversed if they have any chance at making their blossoming relationship work. With twists and surprises, this story kept me avidly reading from the first page, right through till the end. I loved everything about this story and I am really looking forward to seeing what Ms. Garland has in store for us in the next book.

Thank you, Ms. Garland!
