While Dinopotamus is at school he notices that the children are colder than he is at naptime. He proceeds to figure out how the children can be warm like he is during their naps. This is a cute story that shows children how to solve problems. We watch Dinopotamus try different solutions until he finds the one that works best for everyone. Children get to see a step-by-step guide to problem-solving. The story is short and sweet and will hold their attention. The illustrations are fun as always.

This book takes us on another great adventure with Dinopotamus. This time, he has a mystery to solve. This book was a particular favourite of my sons, probably because it involved some kind of dinosaur reference! He thought it was brilliant watching the children sleep in Dino’s place and kept relating back to his sleep spot at nursery.
This author really has a way of drawing in not only the children, but the whole family who sit down to enjoy it. Her books are always so entertaining yet educational, hitting that perfect sweet spot you could want as a parent. This is a great example of her work and is another we thoroughly enjoyed.

This charming children’s book, “Dinopotamus Solves a Mystery”, is a delightful and engaging tale that explores the concept of heat and thermal energy through the curious mind of Dinopotamus, a lovable and inquisitive dinosaur.

The story begins with Dinopotamus’s frustration at always getting the “Warm Spot” on the floor, but he decides to share it with his friends, only to discover that the spot becomes cold when they lie down. The puzzle sparks his curiosity, and Dinopotamus embarks on a journey to solve the mystery.

The author, Lois Wickstrom, does an excellent job of introducing scientific concepts in a way that is accessible and fun for young readers. The story is easy to follow, and the use of simple language makes it perfect for early readers or for reading aloud to younger children.

I loved this Dinopotamus story. Dinopotamus is so sweet and caring, he tries to make sure the kids in his class are warm during nap time. He realizes his body heat is what makes the spot he is laying in so warm, and he can use this to keep his friends warm. I love the artwork in this book. It looks as though it was drawn by a child, so it will be very eye catching to a child I think.

I really enjoyed this little book. It was so heartwarming. I love how Dinopotamus thinks about the kids and just always wants the best for them. This is such a good story for kids to form their own imagination as well. I cannot wait to read this story to my 4 year old! I think he’s really going to like this one.

I read this book to my grandson. He enjoyed it. I enjoyed the storyline as it made him ponder why Dinopotamus’ spot was a big warm spot and the other kids had smaller spots. It was a cute quick read before bedtime. The illustrations are great. Another great Dinopotamus book to add to your collection.

I love all the books from this author. So, it is opposite day at school and the clever and enthusiastic Dinopotomus is tasked to bring a big box of things. Opposite day means that they get to break the rules and disobey instructions, but only if they get it right. When Dinopotomus is tasked with a challenge, he has to put his thinking cap on to think the problem through and solve it.
It is such a fun loving book for kids, they learn about opposites. The illustrations and bright and colorful.
I enjoyed this book very much.

What a great book to teach “little ones” about opposites!

Dinopotamus has an adventurous day at school…it’s “Opposite Day!” Wickstrom has created a great way to teach opposites to children. The illustrations are engaging, and the story keeps children’s attention. It isn’t your average book about opposites. It really makes children think, but it is also a fun book to read.

My family loves it when I bring home books by this author! We always have such a fun time and great discussions. Opposite Day is exactly what it sounds like. The teacher wants everyone to try to do the opposite of what she says. But she doesn’t make it easy for them. This was a fun read that made both of my kiddos giggle as they acted everything out along with the story. It also prompted us to try and create our own Opposite game with more difficult instructions. Pick this up and share with the little ones in your life at home, at school, or at daycare.

Once again Lois Wickstrom shows her incredible talent not just in writing the story but in her fun illustrations. This series gives kids a confidence boost seeing hand drawn pictures and understanding they can do it too. Opposite day is always a fun day, but this book took it to the max or would it be the minimum? Hmmm. Every little thing was given in the opposite way, and I love how it showed that misunderstandings can happen to anyone, but Dinopotamus always has a friend to cheer him up. Easy to read for my seven-year-old and the inspiration he had on trying to say the opposite of everything he meant for the rest of the night.

Opposite Day for Dinopotamus by Lois June Wickstrom. This is my favorite children’s author so I knew I had to read this cute book to my 6 year old nephew. He loved it. Its full of cute illustrations and always a a lesson is included. When Dinopotamus gets to school he learns its opposite day and the teacher tells them they will learn to tell the difference in opposites. They are given different shapes of letters and fonts that are so fun for the kids. This is probably best for kids ages 4-8 and would make a great gift for the child in your life.

This is a brilliant story that teaches kids about opposites. This is something my daughter has struggled to understand a little bit, so reading this book was a fun and entertaining way to reinforce what she had already been learning. She found the book to be engaging and I could see she really connected with it.

Just another great teaching story, with fun to be had by all. Dinopotamus and his friends are learning about opposite word meanings. Some are easy, but then some can be harder to understand. I love that this author did not use only easy examples. Leaving a thought process for the child and the characters in the story. Opening up more conversations between the reader and the students. In my opinion there is another better than a book that leaves room for more learning. After the story has finished. This is another book that belongs in every child’s library. I hope you enjoy the story as much as we did.

Opposite Day for Dinopotamus is a fun children’s book with unique illustrations. It likely follows the book Dinopotamus Goes to School, but they are unique stories. Dinopotamus goes to school and the teacher declares today is Opposite Day! The teacher has some silly commands for the kids to enjoy, as well as some tricky requests to direct them toward fun learning. My son thought it was fun and silly that some of the words were written upside down, with fun fonts, and in quote bubbles from the children illustrations. The illustrations look like they were drawn in crayon, which is unique. Silly fun book for younger readers.

This is a cute story that explores the meaning of opposite. I like this series because it shows acceptance of individuals who are different and including them in the activities that are happening. I think many children will find this story interesting and I recommend it as something to read to your child. The author has a few series available for children that are fun and interesting. I think parents should check them out if you have children that love to read.
