This one started out good and held my interest. Sadly it really went downhill after that. The relationship seemed rushed. Maybe more time spent on character building would have taken care of a few of these issues. She did not seem interested in him romantically but all of a sudden she loves him. Also there is a grand gesture at the end and I am just thinking..nothing was mentioned in reference to her liking baking.
I was very interested with this story due to the storyline. The author did an good job with Frank’s story. I did speed through this as it does have a nice flow.

I’ve read quite a few book from this author and I am really enjoying this new Doctors of Eastport series. The stories might be on the shorter side but they certainly are full to the brim of great characters, dreamy doctors and definitely some steamy moments along the way! I loved the characters Frank and Barbara, they might not have had the best first meeting but they had a good connection and definitely some humours moments between them. I would definitely recommend this book, series and author! I can’t wait for more to come!

This was such a quick fun read. These doctors of Eastport General are quite something. This book though had my heart! As one well blessed in the chest, I felt the pain of Barbara. I loved seeing her story and Frank’s. Seeing how they can see past their own stuff and feel the pain of another.

A hot and heavy rollercoaster with a bad first impression, a doctor dealing with some skeletons in his proverbial closet and a woman who makes him face it all. A great addition to C.A’s series. Works as a standalone and is well written with a great build up. The character progression was excellent and I had a heck of a time putting it down! Really enjoyable read!

I am definitely a fan of this wonderful author and this book did not disappoint in any way. Dr Frank and Barbara are wonderful characters and the author created a fantastic storyline for them. Both dealing with very real life issues which I believe make them even more relatable to the reader. If reading a wonderful book with “real” characters and a HEA is what you’re after then this is the book for you!

As a Grey’s Anatomy Fan, I truly had high expectations for this novella. As I do with just about every contemporary romance I read that takes place in the medical field. This one definitely rose to that expectation. In this book we meet Dr. Enstein who wants to use his abilities in plastic surgery to help the world. He wants to help those who are disfigured build their confidence. When Dr. Enstein meets Barbara he gets way more than he was expecting. Their chemistry sizzles for sure and they have a banter between them that is definitely unmatched. I definitely recommend this!

King – Review by Christine Baranek
Doctor Frank Enstein by CA King is one of 13 new contemporary romance books in the second season of Doctors of Eastport General Series where each book is written by different authors. They are all standalones books but you may see some characters from some of your old favourites from the first season. Dip your toes into the happenings of the Eastport General Rhode Island where a veritable smorgasbord of HOT new naughty ER Physicians, Surgeons, Specialists, Residents, and patients shenanigans. The characters are passionate about their jobs and fun loving and full of charm. Doctor Frank Enstein got into his job to make a difference but will he be derailed by one busty woman? Want a story that is sexy and full of desire? A story that is entertaining, flirty, and where sparks fly? Let’s not forget it also comes with a little drama, some steam and fun. I recommend you settle in for some me time and read this short story to find out what happens. As I said before think McDreamy and McSteamy from Grey’s Anatomy…… This is one series I intend to devour. I am off to see what the other books have to offer.

It seems not matter what this author turns her hand to it is a complete success. This book is the second one she has written as part of these collaborations and it is just as good as her other one. Part of what I like about this book so much is that it is so different from other books that this author has written. I connected with the story so easily and, as usual, I couldn’t stop reading until I had finished the book. The story was well thought out with some brilliant characters. There was so much more to this story than you would think initially and it was created with such ease from the author. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend to anyone.

This is an author that I really enjoy reading and this book is one of my favorites yet. Her books are creative and engaging. This book is no different. This is a well written, fast paced story that is hard to put down. The characters are steamy and made the story easy to read. They are connectable and pull you into their world. They have great growth and chemistry as well. A story where going backwards is not always a bad thing. What happens with Doctor Frank you don’t want to miss for sure. What will he do when he is faced with a choice of going back to something he said he never would? This is a romance story you don’t want to miss for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Doctor Frank Enstein (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King is Ms. King’s second contribution to this medical romance series: the Doctors of Eastport General collection is a collaboration by several different authors, each releasing their own story set in Eastport General Hospital. This is another by Ms. King, a spicy, short, and sexy read that will keep you in its grasp right through to the end. Let’s face it, I already love Ms. King’s stories, so it was a given that I would be reading this book as soon as it hit my Kindle. And who doesn’t love a sexy Doctor? I know I sure do… This novella is a contemporary romance- and although it might be smaller in page numbers, it has the feel and delivery of a much larger novel. We meet plastic surgeon, Doctor Frank Enstein, who has a passion to help disfigured patients by repairing their damaged flesh and helping them regain some of their lost confidence. He wants to use his position to truly make a difference in the world. When he meets Barbara, their chemistry certainly sizzles, but he might get the wrong impression at first…Barbara, on the other hand, just wants to be feel ‘normal’ and pain free and is desperate for help- she meets Doctor Frank and finally has hope. But has she placed her hope in the wrong hands? Can and will he help her? What starts off as pretty casual, turns out to be so much more than either of them ever expected. What happens makes for a sweet and engaging read. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. King has in store for us next. Happy Reading…

This is a cute romance for those that thought it couldn’t happen. Barbara has been dealing with a health issue that has left her feeling less confident and in pain. Along comes Dr. Frank. He has never felt this way about any woman. They have a lovely chemistry. A wonderfully quick read that I wish had just a bit more story to it. I loved it anyway and found it quite romantic.

This book is a super cute quick read. It has everything that you are looking for in a romance book. It has the misjudgments at the first meeting to the growing of feelings throughout the book. Barbara went to Frank to help her with something that has Frank, who is dealing with some of his own issues, look at things a little differently. This leads to them having a horrible first meeting and yet something blossoms out of that meeting and they can’t seem to stay away from each other. Reading this book you will get caught up in the building of he characters and their backstories. You will figure out what is bothering Frank and why Barbara needs a plastic surgeon. These two things are key to how they develop their love story. If you have a couple hours that you can sit down and get lost in the small town feel of this book, you wont be disappointed. Also, it never hurts to read about a hot doctor.

Doctor Frank Enstein spent years becoming a sought-after cosmetic surgeon and not for the same reason as others in his field. For him, it wasn’t about tits and it certainly had nothing to do with ass. His motives were deeper, purer; something only someone with a similar tragic past would understand.
He merely put up with long lines of superficial women demanding exuberant changes to perfectly fine bodies. It was a means to an end, and finally it was all paying off.
His assignment with a new burn unit at Eastport General Hospital was the job he wanted—a place where he could really make a difference.
When a busty barmaid tries to start up a conversation, she threatens to drag him back into the practice he left behind. No matter how attractive she is, that couldn’t happen.
Taking a step backward isn’t part of the plan, but maybe it should be.
About C.A. King, USA Today Bestselling Author I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other; all to cancer. 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche. Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real time. To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn’t open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn’t need to be a reason or trigger. People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years. I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don’t ever let anyone tell you different. I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. This was my first time reading a book from this author and it was a quick spicy read! Desmond and Emily both work at the hospital. Desmond is a doctor with a naughty reputation and Emily is an orderly that seems to play it safe. They work on different floors so they have never met until they both decide to go to the same bar on the same night. They don’t have the night of fun they want so they try again the next night with success! Something happens that changes things. I can’t give it all away but I will say I did enjoy this read. I know it is a Novella, but I wish it were longer and not so rushed at the end. I wanted/needed more. I can’t wait to read her next book. Maybe we will get an update on these two!

Emily is a new orderly at Eastport General Hospital and is hearing some gossip about Doctor Desmond, aka Doctor D. Since Emily has never met Doctor D, she imagines he is that almost too perfect kind of Doctor who seems to have everything and really doesn’t believe he really exists. In all honesty, Doctor Desmond does exist and sure sounds like everyone’s dream. What the gossips don’t talk about is how much Doctor D cares for his patients and how hard he works to help the children under his care. Overall I really enjoyed the book. It’s a short novella type story for Doctors of Eastport General. I am looking forward to checking out some of the stories written by other authors for this series.

A cute, quick, fun read! Right out the gate, the book starts with chaos, which made it intriguing. Initially it is a little confusing to line it all up, but it makes sense fairly quickly into the story. Dr. Desmond is a pediatrician who is caught up in the middle of an impossible situation. He also has a bit of a reputation. Emily is an orderly with her life all planned out and no time for BS. I loved the two MCs, both separately and seeing how their relationship evolved. The story made me laugh a few times, got a little steamy in others, and tugged on your heart strings a bit along the way. I would have liked to see a little more on the characters. Because of its size and how quickly it flies past, it reads more like a novella. I will definitely be picking up some others in this series when I am in the mood for a quick, cute romance!

This was a great quick romantic read! You really get to know Emily and Des. I like how you get to read from both perspectives with alternating chapters. I always enjoy this author and her writing style is really fun and light. This story proves you can’t and shouldn’t judge someone based on what you hear. From first class embarrassment to some tear jerker parts this story is definitely worth the read!

Once again my people of Bunya revive me with open arms and I’m more than thrilled to be back 🥰
Between Scott and Ryan they’re doing an amazing job at the hospital in Wartah River but as you can imagine they’re servicing not only their own community but those of the surrounding areas and extra hands are always welcome and when Dr Franceen Lewis arrives my heart skips more than a few beats ! I just feel it in my bones that Bunya is going work it’s “love magic “ again for another Currthers sibling ❣️😉
Doctor Franceen Lewis comes to Waratah hospital to heal and service the community but in doing so they are actually the ones healing her 🥰 and while Scott has his own cut out for him i matters of the heart , he’s so gentle , loving and patient with his Dr Lewis I can’t help but fall harder for than she does 😂
These people of Bunya and Waratah really have a big place in my heart ❤️

Dr. D’s reputation precedes him. He’s hot, sexy, and only available for one night. He doesn’t do relationships and everybody knows it. Emily, on orderly, is oblivious to the legend of Dr. D because she’s too busy chasing her dreams and working. The legendary Dr. D and Emily have a chance encounter that does not go as planned. Did she ruin her one night with Dr. D? Rules are rules! Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is a fun and fast-paced quick read. The characters are relatable and easy to like.

Not quite what I was expecting, but a good book nonetheless. The book was slow to draw me in, but I was still able to finish it in one day and enjoyed the writers style of writing. I definitely plan to read the other books of the series soon.
The characters of Desmond and Emily are both relatable, making it feel like you understand what they are going through as the book switches back and forth from their perspectives. The chemistry between them is apparent from the first time they meet in the hallway of the hospital they work at together, and by the end of the story you are rooting for them to have a happy ending.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is part of a series of Doctor Affairs in the General Hospital. This gave me a Grey’s Anatomy McSteamy feel to it. It’s a quick and spicy read if you love steamy books that are novella type. When Doctor D meets his romantic interest Nurse Emily it is off to the steamy races. Without giving away too many spoilers just know what happens next is nothing short of a steamy romantic slow burn spicy read. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
This book was a hard one for me to rate. I was ridiculously torn between numbers here. Ultimately I want to do this author justice because I did enjoy the book. I think this would be considered more of a short story or novella due to it’s size but could easily be added to too be turned into a longer novel. I did miss learning the characters back stories and learning about how they got to this point in their lives. In the beginning we just start right in the middle of a busy hospital scene which I found to be kind of abrupt, but as the story progresses we do learn a little about the characters. Once you get through the first chapter or so the story smooths out and becomes a really entertaining story about Doctor Desmond and an orderly named Emily. Dr Desmond is definitely more than the rumors lead us and Emily to believe. He does care about his job, and there are reasons behind him becoming a pediatrician. The chemistry between the two was immediate and on fire and I enjoyed seeing the relationship develop between them. I do wish more would have been added to the end mostly just to answer some questions I had but I was happy with how it ended. Overall I enjoyed it. It was a quick, fast paced, but entertaining, and enjoyable read. I would be interested in reading more from this series and more from the author as well.
This book was very fast paced. There were multiple parts that made me LOL which i loved. Parts that made me sad for these characters . There were parts that made snort because it was a bit unrealistic. There was one major time/location jump with no context between chapters so that was a bit confusing. So I guess I can say this was a roller coaster of story. Overall a cute short story! Would read more!

If looking for a quick read, this story will definitely fit the bill. The rumor of the legendary Dr. D circulated around Eastport Hospital. Emily had never seen or heard of the doctor until the day he was called into the Emergency department to help treat children from a school bus accident. The nurses were gossiping about him and when the orderly stated she had never heard of him, they automatically targeted her. Upon their advice, Emily decided she would go out one evening. Meanwhile, Dr. Desmond Danielson was attempting to convince his sister that her son needed surgery. While the surgery was risky, Mikey would die without it. His sister refused unless an emergency required the procedure. His co-worker advised him to take a night off for himself. As fate would have it, an extremely drunk Emily and Danielson ended up meeting one another. Emily accepted a ride from Dr. Danielson, and despite nothing beyond her throwing up on him, the rumor mill at the hospital immediately thought otherwise.

King – Review by Stephanie Chapman
Steamy, hot, fun!! A good story overall. More of a novella than a novel and I was able to read this one in about three to four hours. However it was three to four hours of enjoyment!!! Desmond and Emily are the perfect couple who are the absolute definition of opposites attract!! This author gives a great read with in depth characters and a plot line that is both character and story driven. The characters become a central part of the plot and bring this story to life!! My only complaint is the end didn’t jive with the story line and a lot was left unfinished… maybe there will be another story to complete this but over all I say it’s a great, comfortable read.

Main points: Enjoyable characters. Good story line. A little bit of steam.
This book is a quick read. I enjoyed that there was a good amount of story line balanced with the romance. One thing I will say is that if you are a reader who doesn’t want the pandemic mentioned in a book you are using to escape, this one might not be the book for you. It doesn’t overpower the story, but it is mentioned. For some reason, I had a difficult time with the feel of the first chapter and struggled to get into the story, but it smoothed out in chapter two. I can’t pinpoint what exactly the challenge was for me, but I pushed through it, and it was worth it.

This was a great story. It was my first by this author and I enjoyed it. I loved the hospital and the romantic sense in it. I felt myself playing this in my mind when I wasn’t reading it to see what could happen next. The author wrote this book beautifully.

Dr. D is a pediatrician at a hospital where is has a bit of a reputation. He’s is known for being a fantastic lover but never going past a one night stand. Emily doesn’t think this man exist but after a VERY drunken night she is corrected. Dr. D and Emily have great chemistry and even though this was a novella there was just enough plot to compliment their relationship. This was a super fun and quick read, you can never go wrong with a steamy doctor!
