Paranormal Shifter books are some of my favorite. Never have I come across a swan shifter but love the idea. This story has everything you could ever want in a paranormal romance. Love, angst, beauty, evil and of course good triumphs. One note I do have is … I need these recipes! Seriously hire a chef to come up with the recipes for this food! I absolutely loved Ember’s story and cannot wait for the next one to come around.
The details of both the story and the characters are vast and in-depth! I absolutely enjoyed the introduction to Māori society.

Paranormal shifters, deliciously described food, and romance bring a great combination to this new series. This is a new author to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the story and world-building. I enjoyed the incorporation of Maori food and mythology. Also, the main characters Ember and Austin were a wonderful couple that I wanted to see have the best of lives. I really enjoyed the story and want to try some of the food described. I’m excited because this was the first book in a series and look forward to reading more in this series.

Ember's Secret (Solstice Quartet #1)Ember’s Secret by Catherine Peace
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novel, was beautiful and wonderful all in the same structure of all it could be. The story and visionary effects it was able to give was beyond what the ordinary universe could normally give such a effect of! I really loved how this book has taken off! I will be wanting and needing to read the next installments in the series to see what is to happen to my beloved characters next! This novel was full of Amazement!

For me having very high interest in Tales and stories labeled as Myths, this story truly spoke to me and drew me in , and I mean it really did, entire body and soul! I could not get enough of the effects and the story that had taken flight and shaped the plot as it did! The story line was full of intrigue. I could not get enough of Ember, and her story and who she was! She was a character you do not forget about, and you truly feel for her, and only want her to get the life she deserves! She was very admirable!

Ember I knew had secrets and was mysterious in her own ways, I was very enlightened as I learned some truths, and I do feel strongly I will learn more as the series continues. I have so many questions! I was very much engulfed by the magic of this book. I also enjoyed Austin and who he was, I feel the flames between him and Ember are not ready to fizz out anytime soon! They were magical together! I loved the author and their ability to write this beautiful, capitating, and very in depth story! Loved it!

The story is off to a wonderful start, the power and magic this book possess is truly unlike many I have read. Its different, in a good captivating way. The author has put together a wonderful start to a series, and I am very curious to where and how things will happen next, what truths and other things will the story unfold? This is a must read, no doubt about it! Highly recommend this amazing novel and author!

This is a great start to a new series. The story is an interesting and well written story that holds your attention from the start. However, for me, it is the characters that really make the story. They have auch a strong connection right from the start and i found they were the ones that caught my attention.
This is a new author to me but I enjoyed the pace of the book. She knew when to push the story forward but also when to hold it back for the sake of progression.
This is an enjoyable story that I would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed this paranormal-shifter story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing style and her attention to details. This is the first book in this series and I look forward to seeing what is next in this series. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. They are connectable, strong and creative. They truly brought the story to life for me. I enjoyed their growth as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. This is a story about secrets and acceptance. Ember is a great character and my favorite of the story. Ember and Austin’s chemistry made the story entertaining to read. What will happen between these two? When secrets are no longer hidden, will these two find their way to each other? I really enjoyed this book and it is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book.

A unique and beautiful tale that has all the right ingredients to make you fall in love with the characters. It is steeped in Maori myths and folklore, and a little magic and traditional Maori dishes to make your mouth water. The author paints a vivid and enchanting picture that is easily imagined.
Mysterious and dangerous secrets have long reaching consequences that haunt the beautiful Ember so is she ready to share this with the man fate has brought in to her life.
This paranormal fantasy romance is book one of a quartet and is sweet and light.

Catherine Peace has been telling stories for as long as she could remember. She often blames two things for her forays into speculative fiction—Syfy (when it was SciFi) channel Sundays with her dad and The Island of Dr. Moreau by HG Wells. She graduated in 2008 from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in English and is still chasing the dream of being super rich and famous, mostly so she can sit around in her PJs all day and write stories. Catherine currently lives on a farm in South Carolina. E-I-E-I-O.
