The Murders of Lillian Rose is a story within a story. This author is new to me and I will be looking up other stories from her as well. The plotline is interesting because it captivates me from the first page until the last page. The characters are realistic and believable. It is an amazing feat to write a murder thriller but to have a true murder mystery within the story is awesome. There were clues to both mysteries that I didn’t see coming down the pike, There were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming around every corner. I highly recommend this story especially if you love murder thrillers.

The Arsonist’s Handbook is the first book by L. A. Detwiler that I have read. I will be looking for more books by her. The plotline has plot twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were points that I thought I knew which way the story was going to go but then it turned in the opposite direction. The characters are sincere with their description. There were emotions in the main characters that kept me on my toes because of the complex nature of their beings. Jameson was a young man who found a journal that was written by his father. He discovered that his father was an arsonist and he felt like he was taking up his father’s legacy. Then there was Pete, a father of an infant that had recently died in a fire. Since we know there is an arsonist and the two main characters are linked by an arsonist. Will Jameson follow in his Father’s footprints? Will Pete find the monster that killed his son? I highly recommend this book, but I will warn you may get so far into the story that you may forget your surroundings. Be prepared to read this story in one sitting.

Samantha Adair is a new author to me and I have to go back and read the first two books in this series. Adair’s writing style is descriptive and captivating. I found myself lost in this thriller. The characters were complex and fully developed. There were many twists and turns, ups and downs, and even turned on a dime and left some change. Isabella made a promise to her father and she will not let him down. Her plans are not exactly safe but she will be burying her father in the Motherland. She finds Tom and the past comes rushing back in. She is not sure whom she can trust. Will she be successful? What dangers are waiting for her? I highly recommend this book. If you are willing, you will go on a roller coaster ride that you will not forget.

House in the Woods is an engaging suspenseful story. Jessica Aiken-Hall’s stories get better and better with each book I read. Her plotline keeps the pages flying as I can not wait until to get to the next page. Her characters have multiple, complex, and believable layers of personalities. The main character Molly is coming home for her summer from school. She has been put in charge of looking after her Mom who is newly diagnosed with dementia. She has a bit of a problem where her Mom goes missing which leads to another mystery. What other mysteries will Molly discover? Can she figure out why she feels so connected to the missing woman? I highly recommend reading this book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Kerrie Noor wrote The Rise of Manifesto The Great. This is a Sci-Fi story which is one of the prequels to the Planet Hy Man book. It is to give a back story to the book. This has many comical points to the book. There is a battle of the sexes happening on planet Hy Man. The battle did not occur until a new group arrived on the planet. WIll the planet improve with the new group or will it suffer? This is a page-turner from the first page until the last. This was a fun story from the first page until the last. I recommend this book for some fun reading.

This will make an excellent storybook for preschool to second grade. The plot is simple and the pictures are colorful and majestic.. This is an educational book and an entertaining story.. Once you start reading this story, it has a theme that reinforces the theme of the story. It tells of Mornin, a small bird who gets all of her friends together and they talk about extinction. I enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to share it with my granddaughter.

This book is an awesome start to a new series. My favorite genre is crime/thriller and R Weir has become one of my favorite authors. His stories grab me from the first page until the last word. Every time I thought that I knew what was going to happen, there was a twist that went totally in a different direction. This just made me turn the pages faster and faster. In this story, Hunter Divine is asked by his ex-lover to help her with her twins. They have been targeted to be kidnapped and she wants him to help to keep them safe. He will try to keep them safe, but there is where the problem and the mystery/thriller take off. I highly recommend this story to see what happens in the end.

This is the second book in the Black Water Magic series. I found this book just as interesting as the first one. The descriptive language made a clear picture in my mind’s eye as I read the book. There are plenty of paranormal characters to enhance the romance that is within the book pages. The characters really bring this story to life. The story is set around Teagan and everything that is going on with her. There is a carnival and who doesn’t love a good carnival. I highly recommend this book to see how Teagan handles everything.

Tally and the Angel is a cute story geared for 7-12-year-old children. Eleanor Dixon did an amazing job writing this story. The level of detail allows readers to really visualize the story. The plotline has the elements of fantasy, mystery, adventure, and bravery. The characters are enchanted. This is the story of Tally and her very own Angel. Tally received a pendant after the saddest day (her mom’s death), it has the Angel Jophiel living inside it. One would think that having an angel with you would be awesome, but Tally learns that it is not always the best gift. The adventure that you take with Tally and Angel Jophiel has some twists and turns, ups and downs, and some scary stuff they get into. Will Tally and Angel Jophiel be able to enjoy the adventure? Can Tally and Angel Jophiel stay focused on the positive side of things or will there be some bad things that they cannot overcome? I highly recommend this book as I found it an interesting story.

Lighting the Path by Dr. Marcia Nathai-Balkissoon is a book that I will never forget reading. She took me on a journey of life with a special needs child, She is a parent of a special needs child. She gives great ideas of who, what, where, and how to deal with a journey with a special needs child. I took this story to be a great guide to assist anyone who has a special needs child(ren) in their life. Her journey with Emma and her ups and downs. She gives great resource information so that you do not feel alone in the journey. There are a lot of emotions not only the caregiver go through but the other members of the family. I finished this book in one sitting and had to have kleenex next to me. I highly recommend this book to everyone and anyone who wants to understand what the family unit endures. Thank you Dr. Marcia for your wonderful story.

Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley is a part of the Moonlit Destination Series. Amy McKinley does an outstanding job with her strategic storylines. Her descriptive vocabulary grabs me from the first word until the last word in the book. Her characters are fully developed and complex in nature. This book is about Gianna and Sergio. Gianna gets her dream job and moves to Italy. She will be restoring an old painting. She meets Sergio by accident in a canal-side cafe. She notices a panel missing in the painting she is restoring and she goes to Sergio for help. Gianna is living in the past while Sergio is trying to have a future with her. Can Gianna find her panel? Will Sergio have a future with Gianna? I highly recommend this story and all of Amy McKinley’s books.

This is the third book in the Antipodes series. I would recommend reading the first two books. Just as before, this book is set in post-apocalyptic times with romance, drama, tension, and dystopian story tones throughout. The story is moving and has me thinking about my friendships and if they are solid or if they are just there on the surface. The characters are what make this book so good. I really felt connected through this story. I can relate to the hardships of friends. There are friends who will lay down their life for you, and there are those who would not even take a paper cut for you. Cam is finding out right now about her friends. Will she defend her friends and take the heat or will she find out she is all alone with no one standing behind her? I highly recommend this book. Don’t be surprised if you start looking at your friends a little differently after reading this book.

This is the second book in the Jaded Vamp books. I was captivated by the cover of this book. The plotline has a fast pace to it. I found myself flipping the pages faster and faster to get to the end of the book. The characters are unique and complex. It is a vampire romance that includes vampires and vampire/Lycan hybrids. Kaysee is trying to extinguish the hybrids and is having issues completing the task. Her husband, Dominic, was abducted throughout her mission. Will Kaysee be able to complete her mission? Will she find her husband? I highly recommend this book as well as the first book. I cannot wait to see what other books L.D. Wosar has written as I am intrigued by this story.

This is a historical romance story. This is a newer genre that I am reading and I have found that if you let yourself be immersed into the story, you will love every bit of the historical details. Wareeze Woodson is a new author for me. I love the number of details she includes in her storyline. I could feel myself in the past with the characters. Her characters are amazing. They are fully developed and complicated. This is Emily’s story, and what a story to be part of. Her guardian (step-brother) played a game of chance with Emily on the line and he lost. Emily was now the Earl of Lendbridge’s property. She is unsure of her future. What kind of future can you have with someone you don’t even know? I highly recommend this book. I found Emily’s story engaging and wanting more for her. I cannot wait to read more books by this author.

This is the second part of the Blue Summer books. This is a paranormal romance with some Sci-fi elements, mystery, and danger elements. The storyline is fun and interesting. This is a continuation of Lillie’s story. We left off and she was being kidnapped by the evil sorcerer. Lillie interacts with the Zayed. and we find out more and more about their culture. I highly recommend reading part 1 before diving into this book. It is a fun-loving steamy romance that is fast-paced and a great afternoon read.

Secure Decision is the fifth book in the Chase Security series. I highly recommend reading the first four as they are all entertaining. This author is one of few authors I will grab knowing that there will be a great story. Her writing style is so masterful it takes me for a ride-along with the characters in the story. Speaking of characters, they are fully developed and complex. They bring the story to life. I feel like I am friends with the characters and I can influence them through the story. There is a bit of a roller coaster ride for Elenor and Wes, the main characters. In this story, Wes and Elenor have some big decisions to make. I highly recommend this story to see how Elenor and Wes work through their thoughts and decisions. A little warning, you may want to start reading this when you have enough time to finish the entire story in one sitting.

The Way to Storey is a book for all ages. The storyline is simple and entertaining. The characters are just as much fun as the storyline. Luella is the main character that we follow in this story. She follows a mystery light from her grandfather’s drawer. She is looking for Storey. Everyone has told her that it is a myth and there is no place called Storey. She had a thing to tell people about this mystical place. I loved following Luella. I went on her journey to find out her answers to questions of identity, finding out where she belongs and her home. I highly recommend this fantasy book for all ages.

This is my first book by Laura Keorber and I will be seeking out more stories by her. Her plotline was uplifting. She put so much emotion in this book that I could feel the energy as I read the book. I felt the emotional roller coaster ride as I was turning the pages. The characters are fully developed and connectable. This story is about Andy and all her life. . I have followed Andy throughout her emotional journey of forgiveness and letting go. I have learned that letting go is a good thing for my health and to let my spirit fly high to keep myself grounded. I highly suggest this story. I will warn you to have a box of kleenex and enough time to read this in one sitting.

In this book, there is so much detail that held me from the first page until the last page. The characters are fully developed and believable. Logan is the main character who is living with the guilt of his sister’s death. Angel is a lost soul who finds herself in another body trying to figure out what is happening. This story has many twists and turns around every corner. I highly recommend this book to see what happens to Logan and Angel.

Elusive is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. I recommend reading all the books in this series to get full enjoyment of this book. Via Mari did an amazing job as always grabbing me from the first page to the last page. It is a steaming romance. I am going to warn you that you may want to leave enough time because you may not be able to stop reading until the last page of this book. The characters are fully developed and relatable. This story is about Sheldon who is a bodyguard to Alexis. She needs protection from a trafficker. She is one handful for Sheldon to say the least. Will there be sparks between Alexis and Sheldon? Will Sheldon protect her from herself? I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens to Sheldon and Alexis.

Zoe Kalo is a new author to me and I want to say that the cover pulled me to this book. The Young Adult (YA) genre is grabbing the attention of everyone. Zoe does an amazing job grabbing me from the first page until the last page. I also found myself turning pages faster and faster. The characters are complex and developed. This story is about Paloma. She was sad about her father’s passing and held a seance to contact him. She was kicked out of school and sent to a convent, from that moment everything changed. She formed a bond with special girls and they held another seance. Whom did they contact that night? What is going to happen to all the girls? Will Paloma contact her father? I highly recommend this book to see what happens to her and her friends.

Everly Taylor is a newer author to me and with that being said, I cannot wait to read some of her other books. Blue Summer has a nice easy, but fast pace at the same time, story. It has a meaty plotline that will hold your attention. The characters are full of zeal and life. They are well written with many details to make them real in your imagination. Lillie takes us on an adventure. The community of Zayed changed Lillie’s life. Will Lillie figure out what is going on around her before it is too late? Why is she so drawn to the Zayed community? I cannot wait to see what is in store in book 2. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This paranormal story is the third in the Broderick Coven series. I highly recommend reading the previous books. She does an amazing job writing about shifting and romance. She is able to intertwine the two worlds. I love the romance between characters as well. In this story, a veterinarian rescued a wolf, but he did not realize who he really rescued. He is able to talk to animals which is when he realizes the beauty underneath the wolf. The problem is that the wolf has some rough past. Will he take the challenge of her past or will it be too much for him? I could not put this book down until I was done with it. I highly recommend this book and series for entertainment to escape the world for a while.

One of my favorite genres is crime/mystery, and this book delivers. This is the fourth book in the series. I highly recommend the first three books as well. W. F. Ranew is a mastermind whose plotline is engaging and the characters really have brought this book to life. There were several twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. His characters are fully developed and complex in nature. Pt. Farlow is back and has found more than he had bargained. He went to a meeting and the chairman was there but he had a knife stuck in his bag. He knew he needed to act fast to find out what happened. That is when it led to more than he had realized. Will Pt. Farlow solve these murders? What else did he find out what was happening? I highly recommend reading this book to see how Pt. Farlow investigation finishes.

This is my first book by Sandra Tentler and Brooke Tentler. The cover is what grabbed my attention and I wanted to read it. I am glad I decided to read this book. The plotline is a mystery story with supernatural characters. This is a fast-paced book that kept me turning the pages. The characters are cuts and some characters have recognizable supernatural parents. There are some shifters and the animals are new to me. I really like how these six different characters worked together to find the missing ring. There were some twists and turns that had me second-guessing what I was thinking who did it. I really enjoyed reading this book and I recommend it for fourth grade and up.

This book is the second book in the Tapestry of Worlds series. I highly recommend reading the first book to get the most enjoyment of this book. This is a YA supernatural adventure book. The story is original. The characters are what make this story good. The characters are not only people but also shifters. The Black Queen is back but so is the White Queen. The battle that is about to happen is opening the nine mythical Ragnarok Gates, which will bring hell on earth. Will the White Queen and the elite group fight off the Black Queen’s plan? How many of the mythical Ragnarok Gates will be opened? I recommend this book to see what happens between Black Queen and White Queen.

This book is not my first book by this author but it has become one of my favorites. Deidre Huesmann does an amazing job with this familiar story with her own twists. Her character building is clever. This is about Ivy-Jean and her apocalypse dilemma. She is an awkward teenager, who opens a piece of mail that was sent to her neighbor. That is when all hell breaks through literally. She has started the four horsemen of the apocalypse on their tasks. If she does not help bring the world to an end, they will kill her mother. What would you do to save your mother? Will the four horsemen be sent on their mission or will they have a different agenda? I highly recommend reading this story to see what our awkward teenager chooses to do.

Myths & Legends is a collection of seven stories all have some similar stories to already known myths and legends. For example, Egyptian Gods, Greek mythology, Robin Hood, and Hades can be found in different stories. I find it refreshing when I can read the same story but from a different point of view. My favorite book was Dragon’s Heart by Carrie Austin Malone. This book stood out to me because it was about Dragon Shifters. This is Geraint and Mary’s story. Mary has been dreaming about dragons all her life. Then she turned 21 and that is when her dreams became a reality. Then there is Geraint who has been waiting for his mate to come along. Will these two meet? Will there be a bond between them? I highly recommend this collection and this story. I had a hard time putting the book down because of the entertainment. So I would recommend leaving enough time to finish the book you want to read in one sitting.
