What a way to start off the Christmas Season! Anyone else ready for cozy Christmas reads once November 1st hits? I truly enjoyed this cozy heart warming , Christmas Romance. It was cozy and at sometimes cheesy but I personally believe thats absolutely necessary for a cozy Christmas romance. I really enjoyed the relatable realistic characters (of all ages, I may add). If you are looking for a good read to kick off Christmas Season, this one is it!

This book had it all! I couldn’t wait to read this from the title alone! It exceeded all my expectations. Filled with Love, Laughter, Drama, Revenge, and Friendship. I really appreciated the Friendship between Ruby and Emily. This was an easy quick read with lots of drama that kept the story going, while building up some amazing characters. Highly recommended for anyone looking to read a contemporary comedic romance.

The Salem Witch Trials has always been a fascination of mine, and this is a fun fictional modern Salem Witch Trials. Although the story moved slowly, I couldn’t put it down! Brazeau brought a lot of light and humor to what could have easily been a dark and gloomy story. The story was well written with unforgettable characters. I couldn’t wait to finish it and have my 13 year old read it as well so we could discuss. 5 out of 5 for sure!

A unique time traveling story. A very unique story that draws you in immediately, with relatable characters. Cohen builds great character development, making the characters all that more relatable. I love that it shows the different desires for the time machine, for one’s own personal past relationship and then other to rewrite history. I loved all the historical details and references. The two perspectives are fantastic!
This didn’t end on a cliffhanger, but did end in a way there could be a sequel, which I would most definitely read.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this story and I mean everything. Although my life circumstances do not relate with the story, it was somehow easily relatable. The writing is so engaging that I could easily picture myself in Olivia’s shoes. Her friendships good and bad were certainly relatable. The mix and range of characters certainly made things entertaining.
From page one i was fully engaged. I made sure this was downloaded on all devices, so whenever I had the chance I could pick it up and read it, lunch breaks, waiting rooms, lulls at work. I typically don’t enjoy reading on my phone (the iphone mini is NOT for reading) but I put that all aside to continue reading this.
Schaeffer’s Cooked: The Chef blows her lid, is a must read if your looking for something light hearted yet engaging.

A more grown up mystery by K.R Mullins (Kimberly Mullins) of the Notebook Mysteries (a YA series).
I had very high hopes for this one, and it lived up to all my expectations! Mullins doesn’t disappoint! This book could easily be read by lovers of a few genres, historical fiction, true crime, mystery. Mullins ties in all 3 genres beautifully. Her character tie-in from her notebook mystery series, is something that made me love this even more. (It is not at all necessary to read the separate series, but it is a great series). This was an easier read, could have easily been read in one sitting if my schedule allowed. A must read for sure!

I am glad I ignored the fact that this was the 4th book in a series and read it anyways. It certainly could easily be read as a standalone.

The character growth in this is gravitating. The plot is fun, imagine being snowed in with the last person you want to be with, the person you couldn’t wait to get away from. I was hooked immediately. I was on the edge of my seat wondering how things would turn out, I am not going to lie, it could have easily turned into a murder mystery with one of them killing each other.

I am excited to go back and read the rest of this series, and will re-read this one after reading those to see if it has any different vibes.
Defying Ella is a 5 out 5!

Usually when I read fantasy, it’s vampires, fairies, and werewolves, so when I say I personally haven’t read about a world like this, I certainly haven’t. I really enjoyed the very unique world that was created.
I made the mistake of having this as a read while away for a wedding, and the only reason it was a mistake was because I didn’t want to put it down. Luckily it was a quick read so I didn’t miss the wedding, but I may have if it wasn’t. The writing pulls you in almost immediately and had me excited and anticipating each page turn.
Operation Pinpoint is such a great introduction to this unique world and hopefully sets the stage for more books in the space rejects series.
I really enjoyed Graf’s writing, and have added a few of her other books to my TBR (to be read) list. If any of her books have the gravitating writing style like this one, I know I won’t be able to put them down.

To put in the simplest terms, Action Packed, Page Turner. Schneider doesn’t skip a beat, you jump right into the action, no room for leading story lines, your are transformed into an apocalyptic world first sentence. This was a very fast paced read, truly a page turner, certainly one that could be read in one sitting. And despite all the action happening, Schneider still manages to build on character growth. This is certainly a 5 out of 5 and honestly that says a lot since Zombie Apocalypse is not something I typically enjoy reading.

I just love this cozy mystery series. Another Notebook Mystery I couldn’t put down! Have you ever started a series, or collection from an author and nothing lives up to the first book you read and loved? Well don’t worry because this is NOT the case with Notebook Mysteries by Kimberly Mullins. I read it in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down, there were twists with every page turn. Such a fun mystery that leaves you guessing but doesn’t make you terrified to turn out the lights. I am giving this a 5/5, I can’t wait to get my hands on the next Notebook Mystery. I think Ms. Mullins hits it right out of the park with the setting in the 1800s Chicago. The added details of the recipes from the story are fantastic! I can’t wait to attempt the German Apple Cake with the apples my girls bring home from Apple Picking. Highly Recommend for Mystery Lovers of all ages.

Be prepared to ignore life for a marathon reading session.

Mark Nolan knows how to start a book, no build up needed and right to the action. I was hooked immediately and I couldn’t put it down. I will be honest and say that when I read the first couple pages, I was internally thinking this book was going to fall flat before half way through because it jumped right into the excitement, but it honestly never lost my attention once. Throughout the entire book it played like a movie in my head, not one chapter was hard to picture/imagine.
I loved the characters, the banter between Brenda and Jake made for some laughs throughout heavy stuff. I appreciated that I truly couldn’t predict where the plot was going. I read it within 24 hours, sadly taking forced breaks for things like sleep and work, but if I could I would have read it straight through in one sitting. Mr. Nolan has made me a fan!
