A steamy short story for Christmas. The book is fast paced but still gives you enough about the characters to want more. The author did a wonderful job sharing who the main characters were and added suspense to the first part of the book. I would love to find out more about what happened with the two main characters in the future.
Five – Alarm Christmas : A Novella by Melinda Valentine was an erotic quick read. I loved how the story jumped right in and gave you a snippet into these characters’ lives. I loved Finley and Garret, I would love to read more with them involved. This story was on fire and definitely did not cut corners. I will definitely be looking for more books from Melinda Valentine.
This short novella is a fast read that is a bit on the spicy side! Finley goes to a bar to escape her overbearing family. There, she catches the eye of a hot stranger across the bar. Before you know it, they have moved from the bar to his apartment. She is gone by morning…neither even catching the name of the other. Imagine their surprise when they meet again the next day at the firehouse Christmas party. Garrett knows rule number one at the firehouse is never go after the captain’s daughter. But, in his defense, he didn’t know who she was. Despite the rule, he can’t keep his eyes (or hands) off of Finley. Should they try to see where it goes? Or should they just obey the rule and move on? This was a quick read that was full of a lot of storyline building. I am hoping there will be a full-length story coming out so I can see what happens next!

Her brother is a fireman and he and all his fellow workers are very protective of her so when it comes to her love life there is tons of interference. Her familly is so ready for her to settle down but she just hasn’t found the right one. Garrett Scott is a fireman who needs to blow off some steam at the local bar right before Christmas because he’s going to be working long hours. While at the bar he meets Finley and sparks fly. They decide a holiday hookup will be just what the doctor ordered but once feelings get involved all bets are off. Will Finley’s family screw up her one chance of settling down? Nice, quick, steamy holiday read. The characters were interesting, interesting enough that when the book was over, I wanted more of them. How Finley and Garrett meet, as strangers at a bar, and the come to find out that they are actually in the same social circle due to his work, is fun to watch when the drama unfolds. The men of the firehouse and Finley’s brothers are all protective of her which is sweet but, its annoying when she thinks she has finally found something that could go somewhere with Garrett. Their relationship and the draw they have to each other is sweet and I was satisfied with how it ended but, hope maybe someday there will be more with these characters.

This was a really quick read. The author literally gives you the briefest taste of what could be. When I reached the last page I kept swiping like more would appear lol. I was definitely wanting more. I liked how Finely was tough and didn’t hold back how she felt about other people being in her business. But I would never talk to my mom the way she did. I really liked how fun Garrett’s character is. He was ready to play Santa. He wasn’t scared to jump right in with Finley. Hope there is more to this story cause I will definitely be reading it. Seem like it will be a fun read with their personalities clashing.
If you’re looking for a short, steamy holiday read, the novella Five-Alarm Christmas by Melinda Valentine is it! This was a really good, enthralling, quick read. I was expecting more steam, as the title and cover alluded to, but it was still a good read. This novella was very well written, with some witty humor that made me chuckle a few times. I’m glad I picked this book up, I didn’t want to put it down, and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

This was the first book I’ve read by the author and It won’t be my last. This short and sweet story will leave you wanting more from the author.
Finley sneaks out of her parents house and finds herself in the arms of a stranger. She goes to the Fire Station’s annual Christmas party only to find her one night stand playing Santa. The quote I chose for Finley is: “I was not staring at him. I was looking at tonight’s contestant of Pick Your STD.”
Garrett finds himself in a bar and finds himself staring at a cutie. When he gets to the Station and meets the Chief’s family he is floored. The cutie is the Chief’s daughter. The quote I chose for Garrett is: “I never got to tell you how cute you look in that elf suit. I like it.”
Five Alarm Christmas: A Novella by Melinda Valentine is an erotic contemporary holiday romance. I remember reading this story previously as part of an anthology, “Craving Christmas”. I have read soooo many books since then, so the fact that I remember this at all says something about the story and the author. I enjoyed this quick and easy read, but really would have liked more- in a good way, as it means I am invested enough in the characters to want to know what happens next. What happens after Christmas and the party? Where do they go from here. So, I hope there is another book coming that will allow me to spend more time with Finley and Garrett. Hot ‘n’ spicy!

Five-Alarm Christmas is a great contemporary romance novella by Melinda Valentine. I had never read any of this author’s work but at only 37 pages I thought it was worth giving it a go. Although very short, the author has managed to pack a lot into this novella which I devoured in one sitting. If you are looking for a short steamy romance then I suggest that you give Finley and Garrett’s story a chance. When Finley and Garrett hook up at a bar and have a hot steamy night together they don’t expect to ever see each other again, only to discover the very next day that Finley is the daughter of Garrett’s new boss at the fire station. Everyone at the firs station knows that the boss’ daughter is out of bound but that doesn’t stop Garrett from wanting more than the one night from Finley. This is a really great story, albeit very short. I’d love to read a full length novel about the exploits of Finley and Garrett as I’m sure it would be a very hot, sizzling read.

If you have read any of my reviews in the pest, I often mention how I downloaded a book based on it’s synopsis but don’t remember exactly what it says by the time I start reading it. This novella is the perfect example. I will be completely honest with you, during the first chapter I want sure I was going to enjoy this story. This is not to say the storyline and writing wasn’t fantastic, it just hit the ground running. Needless to say, I ended up loving it. I found myself smiling more often than not. The characters were great, whether Finley, Garrett, or supporting characters. I could go on forever but since it’s such a short read, try it yourself!

Wow what a sizzling hot read. This is the first book by this author that I have read and boy what a story. all be it short it was such a hot read I couldn’t put it down. The author has quite the way with words.
The characters just were so realistic and I felt as though I was right there with them. I like how the author was able to make such a short story so hot and sizzling. I really cannot wait to read more from this author.
Five-Alarm Christmas by Melinda Valentine is a short and sweet Christmas Romance. It’s extremely fast paced and has an insta attraction storyline. Two loners make eye contact one night and bam!!! Insta attraction. Great Storyline well written characters. My only reason for the 4 stars is that I feel it has some editing problems.
This is a extremely short romance Novella. That been said it packs the punch with romance within a page. Finley and Garret story is very connectable. A warm felt Christmas story. My only problem is I wanted more to read.
I enjoyed this Christmas romance. It is a short story that packs a lot of romance. I enjoyed being pulled into the story right from the beginning. The characters are connectable and made the story entertaining to read. This is Finley and Garrett’s story. They both have one thing in common, they just want to be left alone. They both feel that a one night stand is what they need. I loved their chemistry and attraction together. What will fate have in store for these two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next with them. A great story to put you in the Christmas spirit and warm your night.

Her Billionaire Daddy started off good. The story has a nice base. The author’s writing style wasn’t bad it had a nice flow to it. The story just lacked real emotions to me. There’re parts missing to me. Like we skip the arguments and assume everything was worked out. There didn’t seem to be a connection emotionally with them. It just moved too fast. I liked where the author was trying to go with the story. The characters didn’t develop enough for me. Then there is the Daddy and Little parts. I honestly felt like it was thrown in there to make it something different. I would say that the author has potential to make a really good story if the things missing filled in. Like this was a short story so maybe a full story would be better. I will definitely look out for longer books by this author. So that I can form a better opinion. Like I said it definitely showed potential.

I loved the history between Samantha and Martin. Steam level was off the charts. I cannot wait to see the next book in the series!

Her Billionaire Daddy by Allison West is the first book in the Western Daddy Doms series and was a great read! This book was enthralling from the beginning to the end, with some surprising twists thrown in that I wasn’t expecting. I went into this novel, thinking I was going to get nothing but an erotic read, and I got much more! While there was some erotica, it wasn’t as much as I was expecting, and there was more of a storyline than I was expecting. The storyline was great, and it reminded me a bit of Fifty Shades of Grey. I had trouble putting this book down once I started reading it. This novel is an 18+ book, and I highly recommend it.

Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms #1) by Allison West was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning and couldn’t put it down.
Who would have thought doing a favor for his sister would bring Martin face-to-face with someone from his past? Someone that might just be able to help him with a dilemma he is having.
When Martin see’s Samantha she is very familiar to him, then he realizes who she is. For years Samantha had a crush on Martin and was his sister’s best friend. She is now a popular romance writer. Martin has a reputation of being a playboy and Samantha doesn’t want to be a notch on his bedpost. Martin has to find a wife to improve his reputation for an important work deal. Samantha is the perfect person and he is surprised and relieved at her answer to his question.
Can these two keep it professional and stick to the deal? Will they be able to make it through some very challenging times?
Overall I really enjoyed this book. There are several twists and turns and people trying to cause problems. All of the characters were great. The connection these two have was off the charts. We get some steamy moments as well. If you’re looking for a great steamy read and a great couple 1-click and get started on this hot series now. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This book lives up to its summary and doesn’t shy from a subject many would find risqué or taboo. The obvious aside, I found that the author provided a steady foundation with the story premise, establishing this book and subsequent series while generating interest in future editions. It was a steady read with some expected storyline cues and some surprises as well. Overall a good book. Meant for audiences over 18.

Good story in what could be a great series. Author Allison West is new to me, so I am looking forward to watching her stories unfold and grow.
Her Daddy Billionaire is a story about friends helping each other with “a deal of a lifetime!” A story that is sure to give you a different view about “Daddy”.
I enjoyed this story but felt there were some unanswered questions in the end. Specifically, about Martin’s houseguest, I am not sure if I was supposed to like her or not, mostly I did not. And another character towards the end that causes trouble for the happy couple…just seems to me that there should have been more closure on that part. Leaves me wondering about the next book and what could possibly happen!
I enjoyed the mix of reality, busy working world and longing for a quieter life, with the fantasy of having a billionaire taking care of you. The few scenes in the club were mild for my taste but definitely enjoyable. Wish there had been more!
West writes with a style that is easy to read and follow, although there was a couple of times where the story was flowing but then it seemed like weeks or months had passed but there was no clear indication on time.
Overall a really good story. Will read more from this author!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I was very intrigued. I have read alot of dom and sub books but this is my first daddy dom/play, and I must say I very much enjoyed it. This is book 1 in the series and I can’t wait for the next one. Martin is starting to feel pressured that his indoor hobbies are affecting his business deals as the rumors are circulating, so he decides he needs to find a temporary wife and that is where Samantha comes in, he thinks she will do perfectly until he decides to introduce her to the world of daddy dom. i’ts good for a steamy read but does happen very quick although Martin and Samantha’s chemistry is on fire.

This was an interesting new read for me. I have read a few books by Allison West before but this one is definitely more of a special niche type read. I will say this book features an alternate, still relevant however, and erotic moments, as well as some Daddy/little play. This was done very tastefully however, even when parts did stray from a typical ethical daddy dom situation. I kept in mind that his book was written as a fantasy though and so it wouldn’t follow a handbook type guide. Her Billionaire Daddy is the first book in the Western Daddy Doms Series and really does set up the location and things for the whole series. We get the story of Martin in this one. He is a a man with a mission to fix his reputation. Things get interesting when Samantha promises to marry him under the idea it is a sham and temporary marriage meant to make his image better. There are layers to this story that are built perfectly and make so much sense but I can’t reveal because it would kill the twists and turns for you. I can say if you like niche romances with lots of steam and plenty of romance, this is for you. I will be interested to see what we will get from the next book in the series.

Martin is trying to run a successful business, but rumours of his lifestyle are putting people off doing business with him. What he needs is a stable lifestyle, a family, and a wife. When he runs into his sister’s old friend Samantha at a bookshop he is pleasantly surprised at the attraction between them. Now he just needs to convince Samantha to strike a deal with him and be his temporary wife. Martin has many surprises to share with Samantha, the main one being that she must call him Daddy. Samantha soon realises there’s much more to Martin than she first thought. I like the relationship between Martin and Samantha and how the varying parts of their relationship develop and grow. What starts as a fake marriage for the sake of appearances soon deepens into much more. For me the story was lacking some romance. I enjoyed the characters but it all moved very quick. Overall though I still enjoyed the story and would recommend it as a quick and sexy read.

I loved reading the book Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book One) by Allison West. It has steamy romance and wonderful characters. I loved reading about Samantha Bellamy and Martin Taylor. Samantha is a romance writer who is intelligent and independent. Martin is a billionaire with a secret. He also needs to be seen publicly in a better light. What will happen when Martin offers Samantha a deal that is hard to pass up? The romance in their story lights up the pages. The temperature in the room will rise. I grew to care about Samantha and Martin with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. The book also involves inclusion in a different lifestyle at a club. Many steamy moments are experienced by Samantha and Martin when there. The author does a wonderful job of making both the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I enjoyed this romance story. It is engaging and fast paced. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. I had no issues with connecting with them as they brought the story to life. This is a story about an author and a playboy. Martin has a reputation for being a playboy on top of the secret he keeps. He has a chance at making millions but the only problem is his reputation. He approaches Samantha with a deal that has a few catches to it. They have great chemistry together and really made the story for me. They made me feel as if I was right there in the story with them. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the beginning and I highly recommend this book.
