Going to start off by saying its 4 stars because I didn’t realize this was a series when I chose to read it. Also, I haven’t been into the whole world of BDSM even though I like spice sometimes. I will say it’s an awesome book, great story and very very informative lol. This book had some good twist, and the characters are just as good! I have added the first two books of the series to my TBR list and will buy them on my next book haul. I am looking forward to reading more of Alyndra Quinn Books especially the first two to this series.
This is book 3 of the series but I believe it can be read as a standalone. This one didnt keep my interest as much as the other but the chemistry between Jordan, Justine and Derek is hot an steamy! You cant deny it an neither can they.

This was a good book that pulled me in and I enjoyed the writing. This was a little different than my normal read but I liked the direction the author took this story and it wasn’t too over the top for me. The three main characters are Derek, Justine & Jordan. They were all great mc’s and I enjoyed learning the little things that they did in their lives and what made them tick. Do I normally pick up love triangle books? No.. but did I still enjoy this one? Yes! This book was fast paced, Suspenseful and had a few twists and interesting turns. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future and definitely more from this series!

I was so excited when I saw this book was out since I loved the first two so much. There were some great and promising moments but I felt there some missed opportunities.
Derek is one of the top Dom’s at Shattered Embrace. In the first two books he was there but more background as Zachary’s younger brother and Ashton’s best friend. We learn a lot about Derek and his back story.
Justine a grad student who has been hanging out at the club doing research finds that she is fascinated by Derek but also afraid. She ends up paired with him and everything changes between them.
I have read each of the books by Ms. Quinn, there have been some pretty incredible scenes not with only the main couple. I’m intrigued with Reid and looking forward to reading his story next.
I have loved this entire series, but this is definitely my favorite of them all so far! I was hooked from the very first chapter and the rest of the book felt like it flew by. After just a few pages, I felt transported into the world that this author had expertly crafted. Although there are plenty of steamy scenes throughout this book, the author doesn’t rely on it to carry the story whatsoever. The plot had strong themes of action, suspense, and drama as well as the Dom/sub scene. I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series to experience the flow that the author had intended. I always enjoy it when books are written in multiple points of view as it helps to gain each character’s perspective a little bit better. It was incredible to experience each chapter in Justine, Derek, and Jordan’s eyes. If you are looking for a spicy romance with more to the plot than just steam, this should be your next book! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
These books are very addicting! I’ve read the first two and this third came to me to continue these very interesting and spicy storylines! This book focuses on a love triangle between 2 females, Jordan and Justine and Derek, who can’t get either of these females off his mind. In the midst of their exploration and self discovery, both Jordan and Justine are drawn to the openness of this lifestyle of the Shattered Embrace club as well as to Derek. Besides the connections and passions occurring, dangers lurk and affect other club members. Demons from Derek’s past reemerge and are out for revenge. Lots of different themes going on in this story to draw in all types of readers. These books could be read as stand alone ones but to get the overall best picture of the story, reading previous ones will be so worth it! The author has a great job going into such detail with each character making them relatable and entertaining.
This is the 3rd book in the Shattered Embrace series. This is another romance with a BDSM element as our main characters are part of that lifestyle. What I love about these books is that there is also danger and excitement as well as steamy chemistry. I do recommend reading these books in order as they do follow on from each other . This is Derek’s story. Derek is another DOM and Zach’s brother. He has never been one to settle down but he will protect anyone he cares for. When Justine comes into his life she makes him feel things he has never felt before. And when Justine gets injured it puts things into perspective for Derek. Could she be the girl he’s been waiting for? And in the fight against the threat to Derek’s brother will Justine have just the solution needed to protect everyone? Added into this mix as well is Jordan. Jordan and Derek have history and as much as she enjoyed being his Sub she is starting to feel like she needs something more. Will that be with Derek or will she be moving on to something new? This story is told from the point of view of all 3 characters which I love as I feel you get the complete story and understand everyone’s thoughts and feelings. I also like how the author takes the reader into the world of Dom/submissive relationships and opens the readers eyes to what it actually looks like. I have found out there is another book to read called Whispers in Wonderland which will give me a better insight into Derek’s past so while I will be going back to read that, the fact I haven’t read it doesn’t change my enjoyment of the book.
We enter back into the world of Club Shattered Embrace and oh my what a steamy world we get to see.
Derek is coming to terms with life outside of the military and has decided to delve into the Club world but when he sees Justine he has this unbelievable urge to protect her for some reason, so when she gets in the crosshairs and gets shot he decides to take her to safety in the woods where they discover the best of each other, but he also has to make the decision if he wants to take over the family business but he needs to get rid of Lucian once and for all.
Jordan is Derek’s play partner and while they are in Sub training she sees the attraction and connection between Derek and Justine but where does Jordan stand in all of this, so she has to understand what she actually wants out of the experiences.
Justine is a grad student writing her dissertation on human nature and what better way to observe is in Club Shattered Embrace but as she goes through the classes she awakens something inside of her that she was unaware of but when she is shot and is whisked away with Derek, can she keep her feelings for him hidden while she is helping him or will the Alpha in him call to her Sub.
This is the third book in the series and although the story flows well as a stand alone it is probably better for you to get the back stories about the other characters to understand some of the interaction but it is not necessary.
The chemistry from all the characters jumps off the page and have you totally engaged into the story where the sexually component and the twists and turns mould brilliantly together to give you a gripping story and well developed characters.
I love the Alpha dominance of Derek but there is also a softer side to him which melts when he is in protector mode which is just brilliant to read. Justine’s character is full of sass and determination in the end to get what she wanted which is a brilliant progression through the story.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment and other series by this wonderful author.

I accidentally started with this book, book 3, but you know what? I don’t regret it. Will I run and grab the first two?? Absolutely!! But not regrets! I loved this book. I defiantly wasn’t ready for it, but man by the time you get through chapter two or three you will be hooked! You meet Derek who is in a tug-a-war with a half-brother mob boss. He will do anything to keep what’s his safe. Weather they like it or not. And most of them don’t like it!! Then you shift and meet Justine, who is a college student working on a doctoral about Club Shattered Embrace and more so research into submission. Walking around a BDSM club for years doesn’t prepare her for this life style. Watching form the sidelines just won’t cut it. She never imagined where she’d be pushed and by whom that’s for sure!! Jordan is a long time switch with Derek, but has been finding that she wants more. Not necessarily more from Derek (although that could be great!), but definitely something more. When Derek’s half brother makes a poor attempt at taking a life he’s jumps into action. Calling in everyone, putting everyone on alert, and putting security on all those he holds dear. Although many are annoyed they listen as Derek tried to take on the mob boss (his half brother). Boy oh boy is this book something else! It’s hot and steamy, yes. But the development of the characters and the twists and turns keep you on edge. I can’t wait to read the rest!! You will NOT regret this book buy and I personally have already hooked a fellow book lover into this series!
This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Highly recommend reading this series in order. Derek, Jordan and Justine are going to pull you into their world so fully you will lose track of the outside world. Each of them had a piece of my heart by the end. This author knows how to keep readers engaged and turning the pages as quickly as possible. The characters are well developed and easy to connect with and I’m going to miss them. The storyline is well written and definitely steamy. I’m excited to see where the author takes us next with this amazing series. Four big stars and highly recommended!
Book 3 in the Shattered Embrace series is another great read from the talented Alyndra Quinn. Derek is the focus of Discovering Desire, along with Justine and Jordan. Lucian is still threatening Derek and Zachary and Derek is determined to protect his family at any cost. This book gets deeper into organized crime/mafia while still focusing on Derek as a DOM as well. Overall, it was a great read and addition to the series.

The Shattered Embrace series is definitely for an adult audience, that being said I absolutely love this series. Before I read this book, I reread the full series before starting the book, including the side story of Derek and Jordan in Wonderland, so I could have a full understanding of everything that led to this point in time. I had read the previous books earlier, but love reading a series through one right after the other when I have time. This book takes us into the life of Derek, Zachary’s half-brother, and we learn a lot more about his deep secrets. Not only do we get to read the story from Derek’s point of view, but also from Justine and Jordan’s points of view. Both ladies are subs of Derek’s but also have way more to their character than meets the eye. This story is full of thrilling moments, and intense interactions between opposing teams that are fighting for dominance in a bigger battle than just in the business world. You won’t want to miss this explosive next book in this series, where Derek will get to fight his battles for dominance in his personal life as well as his professional life. Discovering everything they never knew they needed. Alyndra Quinn has such immense power over my soul with this series. Finally getting to see more inside the mind of Derek Ingram as well as Jordan and Justine in this entry. Each of them has their own path they are on but in so many ways they are each other’s answers and solutions. Derek has decided to rise and take over his “families” syndicate from his half brother Lucian. Lucian poses a threat to his older brother Zachery and his girlfriend Ashton as well as anyone else that’s near Derek. Jordan is beginning to shift into the next chapter of her life and wants something more than a hook up with her favorite Dom and mentor Derek. Justine has been observing Shattered Embrace for over a year and after one embarrassing slip up that led to Derek hearing her sighing his name from the shadows of the room, she takes the next step and participates in a class for the first time. While several others give Justine more perspective not only for her research but for herself, she starts to question her motives and how she can truly understand her dissertation topic unless she discovers it. With questions filling her mind leading to a moment she could barely even dream up Justine learns to let go and discover her desires in ways she never imagined. Now the countdown to finally getting inside the mind of the Master of love them and leave them, Reid.
Discovering Desire is Book 3 of the Shattered Embrace and I really enjoyed Derek’s story. I also recommend reading from the beginning of the series are you get to know the characters and they do intertwine with each book, but also check out the Whispers In Wonderland, which is the beginning of where it all began with Derek and Jordan. This story was a bit of a roller coaster of drama, secrets, greed with definite spicy sizzle off the charts….I am already looking forward to the next installment of this series.

After reading the first two books of the Shattered Embrace Series I just had to read the next installment. Alyndra Quinn has done it again, another great read. It was a quick read for me easily finished and one sitting. The author’s intriguing storytelling kept me flipping pages til the end. This literally has everything you’d want in a mafia romance book. A Morally Grey Mafia male with a Strong FMC with BDSM ,Drama, Suspense. Gotta love it all 🥰🥰 I can’t wait to read the fourth and fifth books. Im soooo ready!!!
I absolutely love this series! It just keeps on giving and I forever want more. Discovering Desire is the next book in the Shattered Embrace Series. A dark romance series leading us into the world of Dominates & Submissives. However this story focuses on 3 main characters vs the normal two. A menage you may ask? Well you will have to read to find out. Derek is reeling. His half brother is unhinged and his crime family is ready to replace him. They want Zachary at the helm but Derek knows that’ll never happen. It has to be him. Agreeing to do what’s necessary he makes himself an even bigger target than he currently is. Despite all that he has a club to run. A submissive or two to chase. Justine has been wandering around the club for a few years and still hasn’t embraced what the exchange of power really means. It’s the focus of her dissertation but can she truly write it objectively? Jordan has been Derek consistent for years. But never exclusive. Just a fall back on when they truly want to have fun. Just one problem Jordan is realizing she’s more of a Dom then submissive. Not that she doesn’t submit to Derek. She always will, but what happens when fresh meat joins the picture? The three of them take part in a scene. A scene that’s going to change their lives. Derek and Justine have extreme chemistry. Jordan and Derek trust each other explicitly. What happens when their wants and desires cross? Can they work together as three? Is that what they want? Or is someone going to have to let go? Unfortunately there’s also threats to everyone close to Derek. When one ends up in the crossfire it rocks their world. So many questions. So many answers. I love these books and this author. I can’t wait for more!!
I loved everything about this book. The perspective from a third person in a “relationship” is an experience I’m not familiar with and I enjoyed it! Each character was well developed and had their own personalities that meshed in a fun way. Honestly, Jordan was probably my favorite even though she wasn’t the primary character.
I also enjoyed the plot. Again, the plot was unique and had some turns that I was not expecting. I love everything I read by this author and I cannot wait to get my hands on more!
This was an amazing read. This book was a very quick read because I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. The main characters are little apprehensive of letting people get close to them. The female lead is protecting herself from her past and the male lead is trying to protect everyone he loves. Their chemistry is amazing and you can feel it in the words that are on the pages. It gives the reader the feelings of the characters and you can’t help but get emotional while reading this book. It has everything that I love about erotic romance books. There is spice, steam, love, chemistry, mystery, danger, action, loyalty, amazing families, and all the mafia vibes. I do recommend reading the other books in this series before jumping into this one so you can understand a bit more about the background. While I avoid love triangle’s like the plague, this book had caught my interest despite the love triangle. But to my surprise it did not end like I thought it would, so I was pleasantly surprised! I have previously read the first two books, so it was cool to see Derek get his on book! I love the dynamic between all characters, even though the one couple ship wasn’t the one I wanted, but I was still okay with the ending couple. I couldn’t deny the chemistry between Justine and Derek. The BDSM was a nice twist to it all, just like the previous books! I can’t wait to read the next book!

Jordan is an event planner who frequents Shattered Embrace to enjoy herself with whomever she chooses, no strings attached. She finds herself interested in having more with Derek than what she has craved in the past.
Derek is a former SEAL, current security expert, and a Dom within Shattered Embrace and his personal life. He finds himself having a lot of fun with Jordan, but when it comes to teaching Justine about herself, he can’t choose between them.
This book has it all – mafia, military, romance, protecting those you love…recommend!

Derek features along with Justine and Jordan in this wonderful storyline that will have to held captive and keep you turning page after page. This book brings us back into the world of Shattered Embrace…but with a twist.
Derek has been working his security firm and has decided to take down the mafia boss. To do so, and protect those he loves, he will be immersing himself into the world of Shattered Embrace. He finds himself teaching a class about power dynamics in a dom/sub relationship.
Justine is attending the power dynamics class as part of the research for her dissertation. While she believes that she is not a sub, she finds herself learning more about herself the more time she spends around Derek.
Jordan has played with Derek in the past at the club and is thinking about wanting a more exclusive relationship. When she is part of Derek’s class, she can see the way that he interacts with Justine and and triangular relationship develops.
However, when the mafia boss makes his move, Derek works hard to keep everyone he loves safe while working through which woman his heart really wants. The women want to help him however they can, including one of them willing to put themselves in the line of fire (so to speak) to bring the situation to an end.
This book was different than the other books in the series as there was the club atmosphere, relationships being formed, people opening themselves up and figuring out who they are, romance, and some suspense. New characters are introduced that I am hoping will be a part of future books. Overall, another good story in the series.
Discovering Desire is the third book of the steamy Shattered Embrace series. This book allows you to see the views of Derek, Jordan and Justine with each having their own point of view. Chemistry, Action, intrigue, mafia, and family, what more does a reader need in a great story. Can’t wait to read more stories about the members of Shattered Embrace.

While this is book 3 in the Shattered Embrace Series, this is the first book of the series that I have read myself. I am definitely going to have to go back and read the first two to get more of the beginning of this story but I did not feel as if I missed a whole lot. This book can totally be read as a stand-alone. The chemistry between Justine, Jordan, and Derek is palpable and it is crazy hot to read their scenes together. This story will have you turning pages and dreading having to put it down even for a minute. It will keep you on your toes throughout the whole read.
This book was so much fun to read. It had a little bit of everything I wanted in a good story. This book has mystery, action, danger, mafia, steamy moments, love, loyalty, family, great characters and more. I enjoy this author’s style of writing. I got sucked into the story from the beginning and I was kept entertained throughout. I had a hard time putting this down while I was reading because I needed to know what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Derek and Justine could be felt jumping off the pages but both of them like to keep people at arms length. Justine’s past has a lot to do with how she interacts now. Derek is always trying to protect the people he cares about. If you want to know what happens between these two then this is a must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance set within the ‘Club Shattered Embrace’ world. The storyline revolves around a steamy love triangle involving Justine, Jordan and Derek. Derek Ingram is an ex Navy SEAL, who having joined Ingram Enterprises is now a billionaire corporate mogul. Whilst playing at the BDSM club he finds himself attracted to two very different but independent women. Justine is using the club to help her with her doctoral in authenticity, as Club Shattered Embrace is perfect for people-watching. She never expected to get involved with the emotionally distant playboy Derek. He teaches a class on power dynamics but the lines between academic and personal get blurred.
Meanwhile event planner Jordan loves going to the club to experience adventure, passion and pleasure, with multiple partners. One of those is Derek but she starts to want more than a casual relationship with him. Derek thought he had left danger behind him, but then the head of a powerful family, Lucian targets his brother Zachary and his sub. Derek needs to take Lucian down whilst keeping those he loves safe, including Justine and Jordan. As usual the BDSM Club Shattered Embrace is brought to life through the descriptive narrative. The characters are likeable and relatable. The romance between those in the love triangle came across in the story. Whilst their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. This is an entertaining series.

As the family continues to deal with the baddie Lucian’s threats and evil behavior, Derek decides that he is ready to take over the family biz and oust Lucian. This is a shock to everyone, especially Zach, who begrudgingly accepts Derek’s pan since it will keep him and his mischief safe.
During all this, Derek has been doing his brother a favor by mentoring a new sub who has been around awhile, observing but has decided to take the sub training course to get a closer look at what the lifestyle entails. Justine, is a grad student that has been observing at Shattered Embrace as research for her Doctoral thesis. Justine seems drawn towards Derek, despite her fear of his dominance.
After Derek accidentally heard Justine moan his name during one self-love session, Derek has a growing curiosity about this little grad student. One night during sub class, he demonstrates the fun of wax play. Justine asks for more. Derek and a long-time play partner, Jordan, provide a deeper demonstration with Justine’s participation. This interaction leads to all kinds of questions, including if Jordan is more than who she has been.

The third book in the Shattered Embrace Series, Discovering Desires, features the points of view of Derek, Jordan, and Justine.
Derek is head of Nightshade Security and has taken on the task of removing Lucian Clareno from leadership of the Clareno Crime Syndicate. He meets with four of the syndicate’s lieutenants to discuss Lucian’s poor judgment. Since Derek’s brother, Zach, is the oldest, the lieutenants suggest that Zach take over the syndicate. Derek advises them that Zach doesn’t want to be the leader since he has become the head of the Ingram conglomerate. Because Lucian’s actions are putting his family and the syndicate at risk, he proposes a plan to eliminate Lucian. The men agree to support him during the operation.
Justine is writing a dissertation on sexual authenticity for her master’s degree. Zach has allowed her unlimited access to the BDSM club, Shattered Embrace. He agrees to her demystifying lifestyle, stipulating that he read her dissertation prior to submission. She also cannot reveal any member identities in her work. An element of danger adds to the building suspense from the first page to the last. Zach and Derek are opposites outside the club. Zach doesn’t engage in the criminal world; Derek has the intestinal fortitude to do battle without flinching. Intertwining Justine and Jordan inside and outside of Shattered Embrace takes readers on a roller coaster ride, seen through the eyes of three exceptionally developed characters. The plot twists are captivating. The balance between steamy scenes and action is beyond remarkable. A perfect 5-star story sure to entice any romance reader without fail.
