This book was so much fun to read. It had a little bit of everything I wanted in a good story. This book has mystery, action, danger, mafia, steamy moments, love, loyalty, family, great characters and more. I enjoy this author’s style of writing. I got sucked into the story from the beginning and I was kept entertained throughout. I had a hard time putting this down while I was reading because I needed to know what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Derek and Justine could be felt jumping off the pages but both of them like to keep people at arms length. Justine’s past has a lot to do with how she interacts now. Derek is always trying to protect the people he cares about. If you want to know what happens between these two then this is a must read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance set within the ‘Club Shattered Embrace’ world. The storyline revolves around a steamy love triangle involving Justine, Jordan and Derek. Derek Ingram is an ex Navy SEAL, who having joined Ingram Enterprises is now a billionaire corporate mogul. Whilst playing at the BDSM club he finds himself attracted to two very different but independent women. Justine is using the club to help her with her doctoral in authenticity, as Club Shattered Embrace is perfect for people-watching. She never expected to get involved with the emotionally distant playboy Derek. He teaches a class on power dynamics but the lines between academic and personal get blurred.
Meanwhile event planner Jordan loves going to the club to experience adventure, passion and pleasure, with multiple partners. One of those is Derek but she starts to want more than a casual relationship with him. Derek thought he had left danger behind him, but then the head of a powerful family, Lucian targets his brother Zachary and his sub. Derek needs to take Lucian down whilst keeping those he loves safe, including Justine and Jordan. As usual the BDSM Club Shattered Embrace is brought to life through the descriptive narrative. The characters are likeable and relatable. The romance between those in the love triangle came across in the story. Whilst their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. This is an entertaining series.

As the family continues to deal with the baddie Lucian’s threats and evil behavior, Derek decides that he is ready to take over the family biz and oust Lucian. This is a shock to everyone, especially Zach, who begrudgingly accepts Derek’s pan since it will keep him and his mischief safe.
During all this, Derek has been doing his brother a favor by mentoring a new sub who has been around awhile, observing but has decided to take the sub training course to get a closer look at what the lifestyle entails. Justine, is a grad student that has been observing at Shattered Embrace as research for her Doctoral thesis. Justine seems drawn towards Derek, despite her fear of his dominance.
After Derek accidentally heard Justine moan his name during one self-love session, Derek has a growing curiosity about this little grad student. One night during sub class, he demonstrates the fun of wax play. Justine asks for more. Derek and a long-time play partner, Jordan, provide a deeper demonstration with Justine’s participation. This interaction leads to all kinds of questions, including if Jordan is more than who she has been.
One night Justine races after Derek to talk to him, only to be accidentally shot in the parking lot. Derek scoops up Justine and heads for the hills and safer ground. Derek has everyone else on lock down. As Derek tries to sort out his feelings for Justine, she proves to be quite the help in his current situation with Lucian. In fact, Justine offers herself as bait to help capture Lucian. It works, mostly. Lucian is no longer an issue.
Derek and Justine figure out their connection. Jordan decides to give herself a chance in a new role. A couple of new characters are introduced to our core group. How will they play into the story? Only the next book will tell. Now that Lucian isn’t a threat, who will be? So many questions to be answered in the next in the series.
There is something for everyone in this series. A little steam, a little mystery, family loyalty, found family bonds, and friendship. Get in now! Worth the read.
The third book in the Shattered Embrace Series, Discovering Desires, features the points of view of Derek, Jordan, and Justine.
Derek is head of Nightshade Security and has taken on the task of removing Lucian Clareno from leadership of the Clareno Crime Syndicate. He meets with four of the syndicate’s lieutenants to discuss Lucian’s poor judgment. Since Derek’s brother, Zach, is the oldest, the lieutenants suggest that Zach take over the syndicate. Derek advises them that Zach doesn’t want to be the leader since he has become the head of the Ingram conglomerate. Because Lucian’s actions are putting his family and the syndicate at risk, he proposes a plan to eliminate Lucian. The men agree to support him during the operation.
Justine is writing a dissertation on sexual authenticity for her master’s degree. Zach has allowed her unlimited access to the BDSM club, Shattered Embrace. While she is fascinated with Derek, she doesn’t think she is submissive.
Jordan, a switch, enjoys her time with Derek. She has never been monogamous, though she has begun to entertain the idea of becoming Derek’s devoted submissive. However, she also sees the possibility of including Justine.
Derek, Justine, and Jordan have no idea how far their boundaries will be tested as the insane Lucian Clareno begins targeting everyone close to Derek.
This is an intense book that builds tension at the perfect pace. Despite being the third book in a series, it is easily capable of being a standalone. An element of danger adds to the building suspense from the first page to the last. Zach and Derek are opposites outside the club. Zach doesn’t engage in the criminal world; Derek has the intestinal fortitude to do battle without flinching. Intertwining Justine and Jordan inside and outside of Shattered Embrace takes readers on a roller coaster ride, seen through the eyes of three exceptionally developed characters. The plot twists are captivating. The balance between steamy scenes and action is beyond remarkable. A perfect 5-star story sure to entice any romance reader without fail.
This was a great story. It’s steamy, for sure. I enjoyed the story pretense. It was plausible with a forbidden apple touch to it. There was also a bit of romantic suspense in it that gave it an air that had me totally engaged. I have loved this series and hope to read more. Terrific characters and wonderful writing in these books make for a fantastic adventure.

I was super excited to dive into this book, after reading the first two in the series, note that I don’t believe that you have to read the first two books to necessarily read this installment but I do believe you would benefit greatly from read the previous two books about Zachary and Ashton.
This book focuses on Derek and I’m sooooo in love with him, he’s got a pretty rough pass that he still struggles with and after everything that happened to his brother Zachary and Ashton in the previous book he’s having to bring back a part of himself he would like to keep hidden away forever.
I like Jordan, a lot, if I could relate to one character in this story it would be her, she’s 100% a badddiiiiiee with a capital b! I think it was super interesting for this story that already has a lot going on to throw in two love interests without it being to many subplots, it was easy to follow and I was pretty captivated with this story from the get go. Now I feel like I should mention that I ADORE Justine, on the flip side from Jordan she has this sweet and quite nature, an she feels so much but struggles deeply with being who she is deep down and going after what she wants. She blossoms in this book, which really brings the entire purpose of the club together, it’s really full circle, this book, Derek’s growth, Jordan’s growth and Justine’s as well.
I’m SO excited to read the next book in this series and see all the relationships that develop through shattered embrace.

This book is a hot and steamy romance story that intertwines some fantastic characters and a great story. I loved the dynamic between the characters. They all had such defined parts to play and each added to the story in different ways. The overall story was really interesting to read as well. It combined a protective alpha male, out to make sure those he loves are safe, with a need to teach and explore. Derek, for me, was definitely he focal point of the book and everything seemed to gravitate around him. I really enjoyed this book and it is a fantastic addition to the series.
Discovering Desire is the third book in the Shattered Embrace series. I thought it was a well-written, steamy, romance novel that will keep you entranced from page one. I do recommend reading book one and two before reading this one as it all becomes a more cohesive, and it’s more easily understood when it comes to the characters and the events in this book. Discovering Desire has a little bit of many different tropes such as an Alpha Hero, protective male, drama, Navy Seal, Billionaire, sex club, morally grey characters, mafia connections, and an intro into BDSM. You won’t regret reading this series.
Wow, this is not your frilly romance novel. This book was filled with the teaching of BDSM, mafia undercurrent, friendship, and so much tension. I absolutely loved this book and it took me on a ride from beginning to end. This is the first book I have read from this author and was totally enraptured. Although the book is based on the BDSM Nightshade club, I really appreciated that the author was responsible with her depiction of the learning process for new and seasoned individuals within the lifestyle. Everyday is a learning experience. So much happens in this story and lives are at risk. Does everyone make it out safe? Will Lucian win or lose? Brother against step-brother to the very end.
Another amazing novel in the Shattered Embrace series by Alyndra Quinn…. And once again this novel is seriously HOT! Totally awesome sex scenes and more insight into the world of domination and submission. It is the love story of Derek and Justine but also a continuation of the storyline and subplots of the hidden dangers and the Mafia connection from books 1&2.
Before reading this novel you have to start at book one to have a complete understanding of the events of the novel.

What an amazingly double steamy read! I had read one series by this author before, and it absolutely left me wanting more. I can’t pick a favorite out of the two books included in this collection because I loved them both. The chemistry in both of these books is astounding! It pops off the pages even though the basis of the stories is quite different. I could tell that the characters in each book were developed very intentionally as nothing was missing. I never felt like I was jolted out of the story from odd sentences or a weird scene jump. The author pulls you into their world and doesn’t let go! If you are looking for a spicy double feature, pick this one up right now!
This was a great 5 star read. I really liked having both books in one. . The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. Each story had great characters and chemistry. Book 1 April Love: April was on a mission to find “the one” to help her. She sets her sights on Will, but Will wants more. Will he get what he wants or will April keep up her walls? Will meddling exes get in the way? Book 2 Monica’s Manhunt: Monica is also on her own mission. She is in search of her happily ever after, again.. Matt doesn’t seem to be the one she is looking for, but she can’t resist him. Will Monica find what she is looking for? Overall I really enjoyed this read. All of the characters were great and all of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The character chemistry came off of the pages.. We get love, romance, steaminess and so much more. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
Everyone deserves happiness and second chances, we get both of these in this book.
The first book is April and Will’s story. She has recently moved home after a horrible breakup. She is looking for Mr. Right for the night and sees her crush from high school Will. He approaches her and things progress from there.
The second book is Monica and Matt’s story. They meet when they are thrown together to plan a party of sorts, but nothing gets planned that first night, but so much does happen.
I enjoyed each of these books and good grief there were some pretty hot moments, the night on the barn comes to mind. If you’re looking for a good escape from reality then I recommend you give this a try.
Double Delight is a combination of two great stories that are the perfect escapism romance. I really enjoyed both of these books. They were quick and easy to read, the kind of books that are made for those lazy afternoons set aside for reading. I thought they were well developed and engaging. I wanted to know what would happen and I enjoyed the stories the author created. I thought the characters in each book were highly entertaining. They pulled me into the stories and I connected with every one of them. They each fit perfectly with their own story and made them both distinct from the other. This is a great collection that I would definitely recommend.
This is two books in one and it was a steamy, quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series because of two reasons; one, I didn’t have to wait for the next book to come out in the series and two, it had some pretty decent steam throughout the book. The two stories are different but have the same strong romance brewing between the main characters. In the first story the FMC has been crushing hard on the MMC and makes some major decisions which leads them down the path that becomes a page turning story. The second book is giving all the push and pull between the main characters and what they think they want and what they are starting to feel they want. It is hard to discuss without giving away spoilers, so I am going to have to leave it there. The story line is going to get you hooked on both stories but the steam is going to keep you turning pages as fast as you possibly can. The fact that I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next made this a quick read. Discovering Desire is the third book in the Shattered Embrace Series and is a wonderfully written Hot and Steamy Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’ve read other books by this author and this one may be my favorite yet. I absolutely loved reading this book and the characters are fully developed,raw, real and relatable. I loved all the heart that was put into this story. I’m not going to give anything away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Three hearts are involved will one or all be broken? I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
Wow! I was not expecting the heat, the steam, the fire from the beginning. This author stepped on the gas from the beginning and did not let up. The characters are strong and loveable. The women have been burned by men and are cautious but are all in when they find their one. The teddy bear men can go Alpha when needed. I love the kink play and exploration.
If the entire series is this delightful and sinful, there is no reason not to read it. Just have a fan for you and your device because the heat is on!!!!
Discovering Desire is the third book in the Shattered Embrace series by Alyndra Quinn. It is a steamy, contemporary romance, with red hot chemistry, BDSM club, light BDSM scenes, Dom/sub dynamics, Alpha type male/s, dramatic developments, an unhinged adversary, danger, angst, spicey encounters, emotion, and more. This instalment gives us Derek’s story, ex-Navy SEAL – businessman – and DOM, whom we have met in the previous two books as he is Zachary’s brother and also Ashton’s best friend. But here, we get so much more of him- and let’s just say the temperature skyrockets and sparks fly. I do wish I had read ‘Whispers in Wonderland’ (a Club Wonderland/Shattered Embrace novella) which is where Derek’s story started, as I think knowing what happened there would have made this book an even better reading experience. Both books were pretty fun. I was laughing out loud at Monica, she was a complete hoot. Great chemistry in both books. Definitely a book to put a smile on your face.

April has decided that since her ex cheated on her, the issue in her relationship was that she was a virgin, and sets out to remedy that. This book is steamy and a guaranteed HEA that I didn’t want to end.

Monica Landers wants to find happiness, after the failure of her first marriage. She, along with her friends, has started working on a manhunt to find her a husband from the eligible men in town. When she comes across Matt Sheppard, she knows he is less Mr. Right and more Mr. Right Now, but she can’t resist him, and he seems to feel the same. When all of the guys she goes out with are even more wrong that Matt, and she and Matt can’t seem to resist each other Monica gives up on her hunt for the time being and discover that the right one was right there all along. This book is steamy and a guaranteed HEA, with characters from April Love, and I didn’t want to leave their world by the end.
This was a great book filled with 2 stories. Both of them were steamy reads with our main characters having a lot of chemistry and passion between them. These stories are both short and I read then both in one evening as I couldn’t put them down.
Book 1 is April’s love. After savings herself for marriage April was devastated when she catches her ex cheating. When she meets her old school flame Will she decides he’s just what she needs to get over her ex. When Will offers to teach her all the ways of making love she doesnt object. But what happens when the one night stand April plans turns into something more? Could a relationship work between Will and April?
Book 2 is Monica’s Manhunt. Monica is April’s friend and she is back looking for Mr right after her last marriage failed. Matt is best man at his friends wedding he isn’t interested in the whole happy ever after thing but when he meets Monica he can’t deny the pull and chemistry between them. Could Matt be Monica’s Mr Right? Can they both get what they need and want from this relationship?
Who doesn’t love getting two books in one! Double Delight features the books April Love and Monica’s manhunt. Both stories are wonderfully written with great characters and plenty of steam to keep us readers very happily turning page after page. These fun and spicey reads are not to be missed.

4.5 stars Between Managing Mischief book 2 & Discovering Desire book 3 in the Shattered Embrace Series, I made a little side trip & read Whispers in Wonderland where Derek’s story started. You don’t have to, but I suggest you do read it first & the first two books because they work well together, and you are missing out. Hidden Mischief & Managing Mischief are the first two book where they take us into the life of the sinful Club Shattered Embrace where your deepest & darkest desires come to life. It takes us into the world that is captivating & complex. Club Shattered Embrace is the place to be when letting go of your inner inhibitions. A place to let go. A place where dominance & the power that one’s body secretly yearns. This is a sexy, sizzling, erotic, sensual tale that will have you sitting up & taking notice. In Discovering Desire things heat up. You are in his world where he can take you to a place only, he can take you. A place of wonton behaviour & self-discovery. A pleasure you have never known before. But just as the club will pull you in so does the story where our MC will do whatever it takes to save those, he loves from a very disturbed man, even if he is his brother. I need more. Enjoy!

Double Delight (Double Delight) is two short stories that will have you turning the pages till the end. These stories are hot and steamy . I pretty much devoured this book in one afternoon because I couldn’t stop reading. There’s just the right amount of steam, drama, chemistry and so much more. April Love is a virgin who is about to get more than she expected when her high-school crush offers to teach her a few things. Both are in for eye opening experience. Can these two have a relationship? Monica’s Manhunt Monica is on the hunt for a husband, but this time she’s being picky especially after her first marriage was a bust. Matt is the best man of his friends up coming wedding and isn’t really the marrying type. Can these two have what they both want and need in a relationship? I highly recommend reading this book (boxset) to find out how everything turns out. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The first story is April Love and its the story of April Brooks who is a 28 year old who has just left her cheating boyfriend. She is also a virgin. She has always had a crush on a guy named Will Shepard and she has decided he will be the one to take her virginity. He gladly accepts and decides to give her lessons beforehand. In the second book Monica’s Manhunt, Monica has decided she needs to settle down and find her a partner. While she is hunting she is also doing wedding things for her boss who is getting married. While working on the wedding stuff she has to work alongside the best man Matt. They begin to feel major chemistry between each other but realize they want different things. Matt is a player and Monica wants to settle down can Matt change his ways? There are both sweet love stories that are a joy to read.
Double Delight is two shorter steamy romances rolled into one. The author brings us to a small town of what seems to be second chances at happiness. The four main characters for their own reasons are/aren’t looking for sex let alone romance but it finds them. The way the author navigates both stories keeps the reader wanting more. Story 1: April is determined to lose her v-card. Everyone she knows seems to be getting married and in relationships. Her on the other hand is in a failed 3 year engagement. Her aunt’s medical emergency gave her an easy out. Out on the prowl April decides Will is her target. Who is a very willing target indeed. Will wants her more than just one night. Especially once he finds out her secret. He knows it should be special. However can he put himself in a place where he’s available for more? Both have meddling exes. Will they make it as a couple? Story 2: Monica is on the hunt. The hunt for a husband. Creating lists of potential suitors and weighing the pros and cons of those decisions is her strategy. After one failed marriage she wants to get it right this time. That is until Matt blows the whole thing out of the water. He’s not the marrying type. But she can’t keep her mind and thoughts off of him. As for Matt he’s never felt this way and is determined to prove her wrong.
