I fell in love with both of these books. There is steam in both to go with some well-written romance stories. They are both well-done. The characters are so relatable. I found myself diving in because it felt like I was reading about friends. I didn’t want to put it down. It’s got some drama and lots of chemistry. I highly recommend you read this.

Double Delight was a quick and steamy read from author Julie Castle. I enjoyed both stories a lot. The characters were enjoyable and the stories flowed well.
April Love starts when April Brooks moves home to take over her aunts business after she has a stroke. She is a 28 year old virgin and wants to remedy that. Looking for a one night dream lover she heads to Red’s Bar & Grill where she runs into Will (Billy) Shepard from her school days. After she propositions him things get steamy. As they spend more and more time together they find themselves falling for each other. Will they both be able to move past their previous relationships?
In Monica’s Manhunt, Monica has decided that she’s ready to find a partner to spend her life with. While on the hunt she has to help plan various wedding activities with the help of Matt Shepard, the best man. Both are instantly attracted to one another but they are both honest with each other about their intentions. While Monica goes on some pretty horrible dates, Matt is there with steamy interludes. How long will it last? Will Monica be able to see past Matt’s player side? Will Matt realize that Monica just might be the one?

With the brief plot given, that definitely convinced me to give this read a try. The words like steamy, kinky, romance and drama caught my attention! Another aspect of a great novel is also their character development, which Ashton and Zachary were vividly portrayed. Ashton is shy and withdrawn but after years alone is making a bold move in her exploration experiences. Zachary, a strong headed CEO, looking for a strong partner to help in more than one endeavor. As Ashton gets familiar with her new surroundings, Zachary eases her way through it. Very exciting start and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

This book will send you through an absolute loop but the ride is oh so worth it. Will their relationship survive? Thankful for super spicy fast read, you’ll quickly find out.

Alyndra Quinn has done it again with this second book in the Shattered Embrace series! This book was even steamier than the first book in this series, it is for a mature audience for sure! I love that we get to continue the storyline between Zachary and Ashton and watch their romance continue to blossom in ways that are unimaginable and unexpected for both of them. The storyline gets very exciting as new characters are introduced and a competition arises that may just steal Ashton away from Zachary’s embrace. This book had me drawn in right from the first page, I could not put it down, I was intrigued by the development of the character’s lives.

In the first book, Hidden Mischief, we were introduced to Zachary and Ashton with all their heat. Managing Mischief got hotter on so many levels. I felt that their characters were much more developed and realistic. Their relationship matured on many levels also. Zachary is still intense and demanding while Ashton is still growing into her new role.
This series is not for everyone, but if the topics involved are you thing, start reading!

This is the second book in the Shattered Embrace series, and it was extraordinary! Zach and Ashton have the best chemistry and getting to read more about their relationship evolving was incredible. There is plenty of Dom/sub spice in this book and while they absolutely add another layer to the story, the author doesn’t rely on just the steam to pull through. The storyline, characters, and world-building are absolutely astounding! I love the dual points of view as it makes me feel like I’m experiencing the story from both perspectives. I highly recommend picking this book up if you love spice and mystery with your romance. I can’t wait to see what the next book in this series has in store for us!

Having been introduced to the main characters in the first book in this series I was looking forward to continuing with their story, and once again I was kept happily turning the pages. In ‘Hidden Mischief’ we are introduced to the BDSM club owned by Zachary ‘Club Shattered Embrace,’ and follow Zachary and Ashton as they began their romance and develop their Dom/sub dynamic. This storyline continues with their romance and follows them as their relationship develops. This is a hot and steamy romance between a couple who’s chemistry sizzles off the page and results in some rather steamy scenes. As Zachary and Ashton explore the BDSM lifestyle their connection grows and they enjoy doing scenes together both privately and at the club. However, work wise when an opportunity arises for Ashton to lead a dream team of the world’s best researchers, it means moving to Atlanta. A dangerous rival of Zachary’s makes Ashton a pawn in a deadly game forcing him to reveal past sins in order to keep her safe. I was hooked from start to finish and the exciting plot kept me guessing as to the outcome of the story, although I was hoping this opposites attract couple would get their HEA. No spoilers, I recommend reading both this book and the previous one!

This is the second book in the Shattered Embrace series. I do highly recommend reading these books in order so that you can fully appreciate the characters and their journey together. The author does an incredible job of opening the world of BDSM and Dom/Sub relationships to the reader giving them an insight into things they may not be aware of before. What I really loved about this story is that not only is Ashton learning to become more submissive and trusting of Zachery but at the same time Zachery is learning that he needs more than he previously has before and that Ashton is the only woman to make him feel this way.
Zachery has claimed Ashton as his and is opening her eyes to the world of Dom/sub relationships. Ashton can’t deny the attraction between them and the feeling of wanting to do anything to please Zachery makes fully submitting to him and easier process. Their relationship starts to grow and as a reader I couldn’t help but feel excited with a warm fuzzy feeling for their happy ever after. However the author wasn’t going to let us have it easy.
A miscommunication causes damaged between Zachery and Ashton. When something happens with their businesses it has Zachery questioning everything between him and Ashton. Was it all fake? Was Ashton just using him?
Heartbroken that Zachery could even think this way Ashton is desperate to get Zachery to listen to her and understand that everything they felt was real but will this stubborn Dom who is now hurt be able to listen to her or will his subborness and his need to protect himself make him close off from the only woman who made him feel more than he ever has before.
This is a steamy read but at the same time it is beautiful to see the development and growth of both characters as they embrace their life. The author has definitely put me on a rollercoaster and at times I wasnt sure they would get their happy ever after or not.

The cover it draws me in lol 🤭 well that and the fact i loved the first book.
Hidden Mischief. This book still follows Ashton and Zachary while they continue to grow and build their relationship through the ups and downs. I could not finish this book fast Enough. It had twists and turns but that last one at the end, I think no one saw coming. Even though the next one isn’t about them. I really hope we get to see them in it. Speaking of which, 😭 April 30th is almost here yess lol. I can’t wait to read the 3rd book in this series, especially Since the first two were soo good! Great job to this author for another great read!1🥰

This book is a continuation of Zach and Ashton’s story. It definitely gets better in this book. There’s a lot more going on and the book gets better and better. As they get to know more about eachother, what they have is tested. Will they be able to overcome what Happens next? There’s definitely more spice in this book with relationshipy stuff too. I enjoyed reading more about this couple and seeing how they get passed certain things. I had a real soft spot for Ashton in the first book loved to see her grow.

Managing Mischief is the second book in the Shattered Embrace Series and is a continuation of the couple Zachary and Ashton in book one. The author says it can be read as a standalone, and there is enough details, clues, and context added that would allow you to read it as a standalone, but I always love to read in order as it makes the whole relationship between the two deeper and helps me understand what’s what. Book two focuses on the relationship dynamics, more ‘real life’ over ‘club life’, between the two rather than the club dynamics of the two as book one did, but it was as equally entertaining as book 1. The chemistry between the two was still high, and there was some spice. I loved the point of view being from them both. Overall this was a great follow up and I am excited to see where book three takes us.

This is a more serious book than the first but just as enjoyable. I absolutely adore Ashton, and admire her for stepping so far out of her comfort zone at the beginning and while submissive she didn’t lose her voice.
The twist in Atlanta caught me off guard, but I loved it. I hope it comes full circle before this series is done.
Zachary is a Dom in every aspect of his life. He takes control and gets most people to do what he’s needing with little argument.
I’m curious about the location of the Austin club since it’s home for me.
I hate the fact that I have to wait for the next book, but I’m expecting to enjoy Derek’s story as much as Zachary and Ashton’s

As we continue into Zachary and Ashton’s relationship, they are trying to find the trust that they have developed in the club and establish it in the outside world. That seems a lot easier said than done, especially when Ashton receives a job offer that will have her moving away. Secrets come out, the past rears its head, and it seems like everything is not how it seems. Will these two be able to work through it and maintain a real relationship? Or, do they really only work when they are at the club?
Managing Mischief continues the dom/sub relationship between Zachary and Ashton. And, don’t get me wrong, there are some hot and spicy scenes. However, the focus shifts to how their relationship will work beyond the walls of the club…and I’m here for it. There was drama and ups and downs, just like any relationship. When they finally hit their breaking point…it was needed! I enjoyed these characters, and look forward to where the third book will lead me. While this is the second book in the Shattered Embrace series, and it follows the same couple from the first book, I don’t think you have to read the first book to understand what is going on….but it would give you some context and backstory of both characters.

Zachary and Ashton are back in this 2nd book of the Shattered Embrace Series and I am loving it. It brings you further into their exploration of their developing relationship and the world of D/s. I have truly come to love these characters so I really enjoyed reading more about them. During this book we also learn more about Zachery. Now, yes you could just start here with this book and I think you’d still follow the storyline ok BUT I highly recommend starting the series at the beginning with Book 1 to fully enjoy all that happens and these wonderful characters. You will not regret even for a second reading as much as you can by this very talented author.

This was a steamy 5 star read. This is Zach and Ashton’s story. I highly suggest reading book 1 first. I like the duo POV so that we can see what they both are thinking. They continue to explore their relationship and try some things. The author does such a great job with her writing you feel like you are right there with the characters. Will Ashton let herself fully go or will she hold back on some things? Overall I really enjoyed this read. There are several steamy scenes that could melt your kindle. Managing Mischief really kicks things up a notch from the first book, and I loved it! The covers of this series are extremely eye-catching. If you haven’t read the first one, I would recommend it.
Alyndra really gets into how their relationship grows and changes, both inside and outside the club, as they deal with all sorts of drama. And let’s talk about those spicy scenes—whew! Also I could not believe the plot twist in this one!
Overall, it was a fun and steamy read that kept me hooked from start to finish.

I absolutely love the Shattered Embrace Series and this second book, Managing Mischief. This book is a continuation of Ashton and Zach’s story and their Dom/sub relationship. The author does a great job connecting the reader to the characters as you join them on their journey as they navigate life. As with any relationship, there are ups and downs and good and bad but the author does an amazing job bringing everything together.
I can’t wait to read the next installment.

First book was so good and I couldn’t wait to read the next one. This second book in the series was even more intense. Both Ashton and Zachary’s attraction and desire grows and intensifies as time moves forward. Both are very taken with one another in every way possible. Their heated connection takes them on even more twists and turns then before. Even through the difficult situations they endure, they are able to manage the circumstances together. It is amazing to see their connection grow even through challenging matters.

If you love stories and spice, this is the book for you! Many of these tantalizing stories include themes of enemies to lovers, dark romance, kinks, and so much more. The book is very long but has so many stories full of intrigue and smut that it will keep you engaged and attentive to each of its stories. Personally, I felt much more of a productive reader as I read through each one since it takes me some time to get through a novel. The diversity of the themes also keep you continually engaged!

A whole lotta heat!!! My goodness! I love my smut, so I’m not complaining! If you’re the type who likes the smut more than story, this is 100% the book for you!!! There was a little bit of this and that. A lot of “forbidden” love, which is one of my favourite tropes, so I was all over it!! Much longer than I expected also! Not a quick read that I was expecting.
One down fall (that I didn’t even realize until reading) I clearly like the story and character development more than I thought because as much as I loved this book, I missed rooting for characters or couples. Only thing I disliked but as a whole, amazing!!!

This is the second book of Ashton and Zach. This book did not disappoint. I will start off by saying that you really need to read the first book to fully comprehend what is happening but if you didn’t, you would be able to understand everything that is going on. It just might take a little while to piece things together. This book is not short of steam and passion. It will have you blushing while reading this. It was a very quick read and even though I felt that it could go on forever, it packs a big punch for the storyline in a short amount of time. You will be turning pages as quickly as possible to see what happens next. There is the element of surprise with this book when the past comes lurking forward. There isn’t as many scenes in this book as I thought there would be with it being somewhat centered around a BDSM club. The said, it doesn’t mean that the steam between the characters isn’t there. This is the continuation of their relationship and them learning to really trust each other. They already have trust inside the club but they now need to really trust each other on the outside. This is such a good read and it won’t take you long at all. Again, I suggest that you read the first one because it is a continuation of the characters but you can pick it up quickly if you didn’t. Also, if you didn’t and read this one first, go back and read the first book in this series, it will help fill some gaps that you might experience.
