What a great sequel! Well just when you think Lillie has things worked out things spiral out of control again at the end of book one. This makes you immediately want to start part two! With trying to navigate new things and then to have a power hungry sorcerer coming after you makes life even harder. Will things finally work out for Lillie and the Zayed? On a side note, I love how you get to read from everyone’s perspective as well!

I basically jumped right from the first book into reading this one because I just had to know what happened. This was an excellent read! The Zayed community was fun to imagine and the pictures in my head gave me small town vibes, and made me wish I could meet all of them. The relationships highlighted the differences in each of them in a way that in real life, they would be teased by their friends for being too cute, and gave some diversity in the relationship as well as inclusivity in the type of relationship. The diversity between the friends was also very prevalent and was awesome to see, because it’s relatable in that most of the time, we don’t become friends with people just like us. If everyone were the same, life would be boring. Also, seeing the evil sorcerer and the way they all plotted to keep him from winning was definitely fun and kept me engrossed throughout the entire story.

Blue Summer Part Two is the second book in the Blue Summer series by Everly Taylor. This paranormal fantasy is a short read that I couldn’t put down. This book begins wherebook one left off with Lillie captured by the evil sorcerer. She needs to escape and get back to the Zayed, where she finally feels like she has a home. This book is filled with action just like the first, and we learn more about the characters, which just makes me want more. I was really enchanted with how this book ends, but I hope that Ms. Taylor will continue to write about the Zayed people in future books. I recommend that you read part one before you dive into this book or you will not have all of the important backstory. These two books were a prefect start to my summer reading.

Blue Summer Part Two is definitely everything I had hoped it would be. Now, I hope it would go without saying that this being a part two you should read the first book before diving into this one, but to each their own. This is an interesting set of books that builds a whole new world that is set up for us in book one and we revisit in this installment with the same wonderful characters that we fell in love with. I love how Ms. Taylor has made this unique world for us to escape into so easily. Her writing style is so descriptive and flows so well that the reader is transported easily and feels as if they are walking alongside the characters. I am eager to see what else is available by her Everly Taylor and what will come next!

Terrifying Love – A Halloween Anthology – Review by Angela Hayes

Terrifying Love: A Halloween Anthology is a collection of 7 stories and additional poems by 8 talented authors. With plenty to choose from- there’s romance, suspense, the supernatural, paranormal, fantasy, Halloween themes, some horror, emotion, and lots more.
If you love stories that keep you on the edge of your seat, with enough thrills and chills to keep you hooked, then this is an anthology you will want to add to your reading list.
I read quite a lot of anthologies as I love the diversity that can be found within these collections. And this certainly fits the bill, as it has a great mix of storylines, all with their own originality, and assortment of interesting characters.
I thought I would just read one story a night, before bed, until I had finished the book- but I got so caught up with it that I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting #sleepisoverrated.

The collection contains:
-Bring Him Home By: Serena Nova
-His Dancer By: Isobella Dunn
-La Siguanaba By: Everly Taylor
-Reflections of the Past By: Melody Calder
-Runes and Fangs By: Victoria Larque
-Bloody Money By: Annelie Janssen
-The Patio and the Spade By: Ada Rossi
-Poems by Helle Gade

The book contains the work of some authors who I am familiar with, but most stories are from writers who are new to me, so this has been a fantastic introduction to these new (to me) authors- as well as allowing me to catch up with the work from authors that I know and love.

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Taylor is really done an interesting approach with an underlying story that harkens back to my childhood. This book and its series predecessor definitely were imaginative and took me down a path I was unprepared for. I found the plot to move well and appreciated the conflict that lay underneath everything. It was well written and interesting and I look forward to seeing what the author writes next.

The continuing adventure from part one of Lillie, Heath, Chief, Brian and Clay against the bad sorcerer, Erius. When we last left Erius had kidnapped Lillie and the guys were trying to figure out how to safely get her back. They are trying hard. Lillie has grown so much during these challenges. She has become stronger and braver at standing up for herself, much to the chagrin of the guys. It is wonderful to see because the Zayed allow her to be who she is. She is not supposed to stifle herself. She also learns a life-changing secret that has been kept from her her entire life. Again the author has outdone herself with some major finale action. The ending is outstanding!! I could picture the scene with color and sound just like I was there. I have truly enjoyed this series. I hope to read more from this author.

Blue Summer Part two starts off directly where Part One finished off. If you haven’t read the first part yet, I would suggest doing so before reading this book.
After reading the first book I was very intrigued to see where Part two was going to take me. Part one finished with a cliff hanger so I immediately started the second part and I was not disappointed.
The characters are sarcastic, witty, smart, caring and just really relatable except for, you know, the magical aspect of their lives. I loved seeing the relationships build into something powerful and loving. Lillie the main character always felt like an outcast but the Zayed made her feel like home even before becoming one of them.
There are a few unexpected twists in this story which made it more exciting than part one in my eyes. It is a quick and interesting read.

Terrifying Love: A Halloween Anthology

4 out of 5 stars

The new stories of the frightening ways love can manifest are interspersed with haunting love poems. Each tale takes you to the edge of your seat. Will strangers risk everything for each other? Does true love last through the centuries? Can beings see past their differences or long-held beliefs to find true love?

One of the stories that had me gripping my pillow was Reflections of the Past by Melody Calder. Mary’s story started with feeling out of place where she should have felt at home. The chances Mary took to find belonging led her to real love. When everything in Mary’s world is destroyed, she finds a way to get her revenge. Sins of the past haunt Lia in ways she doesn’t even know yet as Mary’s vengeance collides with Lia’s heart. With Lia’s understanding, Mary is finally able to find peace.

The other story that caused my pillow distress was Runes and Fangs by Victoria Larque. Kayla has every reason to hate after what she has gone through. Minette should feel the same way but doesn’t let her light fade because of the actions of others. When Kayla first meets Minette, Minette should cower but doesn’t. Minette finds it within herself to be strong. Kayla should despise Minette but can’t seem to feel anything other than protective. Together, they seem to be able to accomplish the impossible while finding love.

Which story will be your favorite?

This is the second and a continuation fro part one. While it is a nice short story I struggled to connect to the characters. I almost think with this many main ones a longer story would have given me a chance to get to know more and feel more connected to them. Maybe a part of each as a couple or more than just a bio.

The bad guy is classic…pure evil. I did enjoy each of these characters and still liked Heath the best. This is an okay story and perfect for a short quick read.

Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is a fantasy paranormal story and the second book to this tale. It is full of drama and suspense, fantasy and romance, sarcasm and wit, and magic. What more could you ask for? Again, as with the first book the premise of the story is interesting, but it felt like there could have been so much more to take it to the next level. It was good to see where Everly took the story and seeing where it ended, and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is the second story in the series and is not meant to be a stand alone story.

First of all, I think the synopsis is adorable and I loved the go big or go home statement! Everly has written Lillie as a wonderful character and someone I would either love to be, or at least hang out with! I was worried the second story wouldn’t be as good as the first, but it truly exceeded expectations.

When Lillie finds herself in a similar position, can she and the Zayed find a way out, or are they all spiraling towards disaster?

This is the second part to the book Blue Summer which is just as great as the first book. I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that is a continuation of the first book. The characters are even better in this book and made the story pop. This is a shorter story that really packs the action. With Lillie being kidnapped a second time the sorcerer is out for more power than ever. Thinking that she knows more than what she is saying, will this put her in more danger and will she be able to save herself this time? This was a fun and entertaining book to read. The characters made the story come to life on every page. It is a fast paced story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

I had recently read the first in this amazing series. First off I love that this series is so orginal! Its not what you expect and your truly in for a great adventure. If an anuthor can captivate thie readers, as this wonderful author does, you know hands down the book is going to be beyond amazing!

In the second book in the series we go more down learning about Lillie and her relationship with the people she met whom are called The Zayed. I love learning about the Zayed. Its a culture defined in the novels like no other. You could give me a whole novel learning about them and Id be more than interested.

Not only do you see the Zayed change though out the book but you also see Lilie. Not only in mind and heart does she progress from whom she was in the first novel but with her powsers as well! And that to me was super awesome by far. But with everything comes a price..the more she grew profiecent with her powers more she was put in danger, as well as the Zayed I would say, by the sorcerer. But as I read on Lilli is not someone who needs saving or a danzel in disttress. She becomes quite brillant with her powers. In the sense of you wouldnt want to anger her, now would you?

But I also was suprised to learn the sorcereer himself was not the only one to grow some certain powsers which made him more of an even more interesting character or a villan I should say.

As I read on you learn of how much Lillie’s fondness for the Zayed and to me it really shown from the first novel to where she was now how much the Zayed have come to be not just a part of her life, but people she would risk everyting for, even if it meant her own life. She truly loved them in the way she showed how much she cared and knew she had to save them from what was to come in this novel.

I love this series. If your looking for a quick read where you stay up at night to finish bcause the pace really flys, this is a novel for you! I love the romance, suspsense, and the drama scenarios put into this.I really enjoyed this one, I actually think I might have been more in deep with love love for this novel by a bit more than the first!

This author truly has a gift and their amazing! I would say read these in order. It helps to understand Lillie and The Zayed very much. Trust me, it ll make sense if yo u read it in order 🙂

Again, loved this novel. Im so glad so far I have gotton two beautiful about The Zayed and the adventures they face with Lillie and those around them!

Again, Phenomenal work on this beauitul novel Everly Taylor 🙂

This was another phenomenal read by this talented author! Just like the first book I completely devoured this one, I ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down!

This author once again took me on a roller coaster ride with the non-stop action, steamy moments, and mystery. I loved every second of this book and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I loved the characters, all of the detail, from big things to small everything was intricately detailed leaving nothing to the imagination which I loved!

This cannot be read as a standalone so I would suggest reading Blue Summer Part One first before diving into this one. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read, it’s a story you won’t want to miss!

Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is a story full of paranormal and romance. There is so much romance and drama that is ready to be unfolded. The paranormal is a nice bonus in this love story.

Most people believe that one kidnapping in a lifetime is enough. But, being an overachiever, she had to go for two. Isn’t it true that if you don’t go large, you’ll never go home? That’s incorrect? If she believed she understood the sorcerer’s power previously, she was dead wrong. Nothing, or no one, was going to stand in his way now that he had what he desired in his sights. Even if it meant murdering those who had previously been his pals, with her dream life on the line, as well as the people she was beginning to care about, she needed to find out a way to go back to The Zayed before it was too late.

The first book was great. I continue to enjoy this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was lovely.

Blue Summer Part Two by Everly Taylor is a brilliant follow up to Part One. This is a series that you need to read in order so that you can fully understand it all. I found it so easy to pick back up the story. This book starts where book 1 left off and continues right on with the great story. This is a pretty quick read and it is quite fast paced. The author has done well to keep the momentum going in the second book and I found myself to be just as engaged with the characters.
I couldn’t wait to see how this was all going to play out. I was invested in the story and wanted to see how it was all going to end. I liked how much more the story was developed in this book, I thought you got more detail than with the first. I thought this was an overall enjoyable book and a great series.

This book picks up where the first one ends therefore you need to read the books in order. As Lillie grows closer to the Zayeds, the sorceror’s need to find her increases. Chief has returned the Zayed’s powers and after mating with them, Lillie has gained some as well. Upon being captured again, Lillie has a few surprises for her captor. The sorcerer will stop at nothing in his quest fir the ultimate power. Lillie is a force to be reckoned with. She will not allow him to harm the ones she loves.

The story had some drama and action which flowed well. The author threw in a surprise that even I didn’t see coming. I’m usually good at figuring out things before they happen. Lots of points for that Ms. Taylor. This was a fun series to read.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it was pretty good and different. The characters are well written and the way they play off each other with their little quirks.

Lillie has been kidnapped again by the evil and powerful sorcerer who is obsessed with gaining even more power and believes that Lillie is the key. Escaping from him this time turns out to be much harder but Lillie is desperate to get back to the Zayed before it’s too late.

Can the Zayed or Lillie defeat the evil sorcerer? Will the Zayed have a happily ever after? Will Lillie have a happily ever after with the Zayed?

You really need to read book one in order to understand the whole story. I really enjoyed and highly recommend this story

Blue Summer, Part Two continues where Part One finished so the books do need to be read in order to fully enjoy this entertaining and engaging paranormal, fantasy romance. Escaping from him this time turns out to be much harder but Lillie is desperate to get back to the Zayed before it’s too late. I liked seeing how Lillie’s character had grown and developed during this story and thought she was a great main character who bought the story together. I also liked how her relationship with Zayed’s, Chief, Clay, Heath and Brian continued and how their chemistry really came across in the narrative, which led to some steamy scenes. This fairly short but fast paced story is full of drama, suspense, magic and romance and the plot had me hooked from start to finish.
