I enjoyed this young adult/child’s story. This is the second book in this series which is just as great if not better than the first one. If you haven’t read book one I highly suggest doing that as you will enjoy it as well. This is a well written story that has great creative, unique characters that are magical. A story where they find themselves in a race against time and bigger challenges that they never imagined. This is an engaging story that kept me reading to the end. The characters bring the story to life on each page. This is a great story for any age child, they would enjoy it. I highly recommend this book.

This novel is well written and has a very diverse cast of characters. While I enjoyed the premise of the tale I found it lacking in detail and in answers. Why are these lost souls stuck and can they move on? Are they doomed to purgatory in Limbo forever? Thus I gave it 3 stars. I really feel there is more to this world that needs to be built upon and with a little more detail and a better back story this book could hit the best seller list. It is definitely a book I would love to see updated with more information. I can see a great story in between the lines and I really like the idea behind the scenes.

Tally and Jophiel are back at it again with a new adventure! We go the exact opposite of warm India to cold snowy Canada and its definitely a wild ride! We learn sledding with Tally and I adore the huskies. The village was a complete surprise and then for Tally to have to face the fear of losing someone else so soon after her mother’s death my heart went out to the girl. It’s another great story where we learn of more mystical beings and once again we see Tally being her strong and courageous self with the help Jophiel.

This was such a good children’s book. Teaching that there is greatness in everyone is a good lesson for everyone to learn. My kids loved it. The main character being a cat made it even more adorable. My kids laughed and loved the pictures. The message was simple enough that my 5 year old understood what was going on and my 9 year old understood that little things can build up to bigger and better things! This author did a wonderful job! I’m glad to have it on my shelf for my kids to read over and over again!

What can I really say about this book without giving it all away, it takes place in the limbo, the same place where Catholics are used to think souls go when we pass, so does this mean everyone in here is too good for hell or too bad to go to heaven?

Limbo, by its description, reminded me of a wild west city, but without its life, you have the buildings, but its empty, there’s nothing to do, nothing to help pass the time, a bar that don’t have drinks, a card game made from the wallpaper…

You have animals there, dogs, cats, mouses, cows, but the people there don’t see these animals growing, eating or anything, so are they being punished as well?

This book, reminded me very much of the show the good place, most people in the limbo are old, but there are exceptions and to make things worse you won’t find anyone you loved in your past life… you may find people you hated but why are people sent there? How can they move on? Why can you find children there?

Alyse, one of our main voices is only a teen that died of cancer… other people on the book we get to know their backstory and some of those stories only make us wonder, why are they there?

Probably If you liked the good place you will like this book, you get to know almost all people background and how they got there, but at the same time there’s many things left to learn about them.

Priscida is a cute cat that goes from being an alley cat to having owners that are like her parents, she never loses her hope and learns new things (like reading) and this is a wonderful teaching message to children, don’t forget, “greatness is contagious!” ^___^

My oldest daughter is having a tough time in catching up on school (she has autism), and she thought it was brilliant that a cat could learn to read, the only down to the book, that we could find, was, that it doesn’t have too many pictures.

It’s a good bedtime story, not too long, and it ends in a really positive note, but it is better for a plus 7 years old kids in my experience, my youngest son that is 4 got distracted, I recommend this story!

This is definitely quite an odd book to read as there is no set storyline to it. The author just seems to meander through the book with the help of a few characters. And yet it works. You don’t really miss not having that typical structure. You find yourself caught up in the story anyway and wandering along with it. I enjoy the range of different characters in the book and how they all felt unique. This is a strangely enjoyable read that I would recommend.

Limbo is a very thought provoking book. That is down to earth and beautiful in its own way. I have to say I have never read a book like this and I truly enjoyed it. This book raises so many questions and does not answer them by the end. Usually that would have me upset but that felt perfect for this book. I actually felt peace and a lightness after reading it.

After 16 year old Alyse dies of brain cancer she finds herself in a ghost town that is quite literally occupied by ghosts. Everyone there calls the town limbo. Because they are presumably stuck in-between the living and the afterlife they expected. No one knows why they’re in Limbo, how to leave it or why their afterlife is filled with strangers or people they dislike.

This book takes us on a beautiful journey of self discovery, acceptance and making the best out of a less than ideal situation. The multiple points of view allows the reader to join many characters on their discovery of growth and acceptance. For me this book was about finding peace within yourself and with the people around you. This is a must read!!!

This was a beautiful book. I found it haunting and original. Following along as Alyse learns about her life, I felt every emotion she was feeling. The characters were very well-written and had a lot of depth to them. They were relatable and felt inspirational. I found myself enjoying every moment of the book because you were learning something but you were also enjoying the story as you read. I would give this more than a 5 if I could. I definitely recommend you read it. You should experience the feeling of the story.

Tally is on to the next adventure and a beautiful change of scenery in Canada. It is a book for those between the age of 9 to 109 and is a family tale. This paranormal fantasy tale is beautifully written and very easy to imagine. This author creates worlds and characters from love and that is the magic ingredient that she weaves into her writing. With mythical beings, wolves, gold hunters, Angels, and an old curse, Tally, and her offsider Jopheil have their work cut out for them but this time the stakes are higher.
I wonder where the author will take us next.

It was lovely to be able to get back into these characters, they had been so enjoyable last time. I picked straight back up with them no problem and soon found myself invested in their journey.
The author has created another book that is easy to connect with, no matter what your age. This is another great story line that appeals to all and is another Book that I enjoyed from start to finish.

I really enjoyed this unique read. It’s a story I’ve never hear of before or have read anything like it. I love the author’s characters and how they are all relatable in some aspect. The idea of having the characters stuck in Limbo and trying to find their way to heaven/hell is a great read as they have to learn the reasons why they are there. All of the characters have a different story and different memories of their life but each one is on a journey to find the reason why they are stuck in Limbo.

Limbo is a little rundown town where people who have died ends up if they aren’t ready to go to heaven. Most of the people living there are their to find the reason why they were stopped from moving forward. As pleasant as Limbo is its only a very lonely place as the people try to get their way to heaven to be with their loved ones. But is there even such a place as heaven or is this place all there is when we die?

“Tally whooped with delight as the dogs pulled away. Soon, fingers of icy air crept into the tiny gap that she’d created for Jophiel’s pendant, but her hands were too clumsy in her three layers to close it up. She would have liked to pull her balaclava off her face – the inside was wet and clammy from her breath but she knew she would freeze instantly if she did. To take her mind off it, she concentrated on finding her balance and listening to Amka’s amusing stories about the dogs.
The distant shore of the frozen lake loomed closer, and before she knew it, they were sweeping into the compound.
As the teams slid to a stop, the baying and howling of forty more dogs dotted around the site greeted them. Tally clapped her hands over her ears and stared round in delight. Each dog had its own little house with a thick bed of straw for warmth, and a chain that gave him or her enough freedom to run around. Some could interact with each other, while others were further apart. More than half had leaped up onto the at top of their kennels to get a better view of the newcomers.”

Tally and the Angel: Book Two, Canada by Eleanor Dixon continues the adventure we started in book one, following Tally and Jophiel as they brave their latest adventure.
We met Tally when she inherited a necklace that contained wonderful surprise- finding the necklace housed an Angel, Jophiel- and they soon found themselves thrust on an adventure to save the day.
Well, this book sees them set off on a new quest to break a curse in a race against time with life or death consequences. As with the first book, this is a fun Middle school age children’s story by Eleanor Dixon- a paranormal fantasy, with adventure, action, mystery, wolves, hunters, challenges, mythical beings, danger, drama, lots of detailed descriptions, and much more.
This story may be aimed at a younger audience, but I feel it could be enjoyed by all ages.

My school life was spent in a girls’ boarding-school specialising in classical ballet and on leaving I danced professionally, touring Europe, for 4 years. After that I ran my own ballet school in Athens, Greece and simultaneously volunteered as a veterinary nurse, as my love of animals is the driving force in my life. I returned to England with my horse and my cat, and now live on a smallholding in Shropshire with various farm animals and a constant stream of pets.

 I started writing while in Greece and completed a Creative Writing Course with the Writers’ Bureau. The same year, I won an annual competition in the Writing Magazine for an adult Fairy Story.

On my return to England, I wrote two children’s books, but my new life, caring for Highland Cattle, sheep, hens and pets, coupled with extensive global travel, meant that writing for publication took a back seat. I continued my love of writing with a daily journal and amusing travel blogs of each trip.

I am now writing full time and working on two series: TALLY AND THE ANGEL and THE AMBERWOOD HALL BALLET SCHOOL.

My first published novel, THE GRACEFUL GHOST, part of the Amberwood Hall Series, draws on my own experiences in ballet-boarding-school and my early teenage life and is a story that has lived with me for many years. It was shortlisted for the UK Selfies Award 2021.

This is a sweet story about a stray kitty that finds herself adopted into a loving and supportive family. Through a series of adventures, she comes to understand that being great is more about loving people and being loved back than by material gains. Through the act of love and compassion towards others, we all can be great individuals. I found this to be an understandable way to introduce compassion towards others in children with colorful childlike illustrations.

Limbo by Laura Koerber is a story of discovery- with a combination of the supernatural, some spirituality, life lessons, revelations, exploring the afterlife, touring the in-between (Limbo), quirky characters, and plenty of originality.
I have come to expect the unexpected from this author, and this story is definitely unique. We get a front row seat to all the goings-on in Limbo (yes, THE ‘Limbo’)- only, who knew it was actually a ghost town, literally. When Alyse dies and gets stuck in Limbo she ends up on a bit of a journey of discovery, along with other residents of Limbo. What ensues made for a unique read. The story is told from multiple POV’s which were a little confusing and distracting at times- and left me with a few questions. But, overall, the story and characters kept me interested enough to want to see what happens in the end.
I wonder what she has in store for us next?

This is a beautiful children’s book for I would say 1 to 5th grade age. Priscidia is a great cat and in this story it teaches you how to find greatness a how to feel it. You can be great in any and everything you do. You are loved and valued but those that love you! I enjoyed it and shared it with my Godkids!! A great read and definitely a sharer!!

This is probably by far the most beautiful book that I have ever had the pleasure of reading, everything in it just shone. It was so wonderful to gain insight and view the world how Chelle sees it. It shouldn’t need to ever be said but it is said wonderfully here that life is still vibrant, still colourful and beautiful even without sight. I adored the little activities she got the reader to do, really challenging you to step outside your comfort zone and really put yourself in the shoes of someone who is blind. Above everything else, what I adored the most was the playful and positive style that literally dripped off every word. Reading about the world from Chelle’s perspective, it felt fun and wonderful. Just adored reading this and I am sure that everyone else will too.

I had the opportunity to read the messages within the book, and it was great to see what it is like to work within the confinements of blindness and other impairments as well. It reminded me of some of the exercises done to settle anxiety and return to oneness! I think these exercises were quite calming, and the commentary throughout the book was insightful. I look forward to continuing these exercises regularly!

Limbo was not what I expected when I read the summary of the book. I almost expected a story about Alyse just entering Limbo and having to discover why she was there. The real story was better! Alyse and her village had to learn together how to make the most of what happened to them. Although Alyse was the lead character, my favorite was TheNakedMan. He had to learn how to be accepted, but he did so with cows. I do wish the book went into more detail of each of the characters and their backstories. This was a good, quick read!

Priscida Finds Greatness: In Herself and In Others is a charming children’s story by Constance Mays. This wonderful story teaches about finding greatness in yourself and also in small things around you . Priscida is an alley cat , has a rough patch in her life, she is caught, then rescued by an animal shelter, lost and then found again. But through out this rough journey Priscida finds that love and kindness lead to great things and patience and perseverance are a key to the greater good. It is a wonderful book for children and I loved the illustrations. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

“Priscida Finds Greatness: In Herself and in Others” by Constance Mays is a very sweet and interactive children’s book. I read this out loud to my 5 and 8 year old boys, and they both enjoyed pretending to be Priscida! They did impressions of her posture and actions. We enjoyed learning new vocabulary and now have an affirmation posted on our school board to recite daily: “I am great. Go be great today!”

This is a very cute story. I read it to my eleven year old son and he enjoyed it very much. He loves the message of the story that you need to find greatness in yourself and others. He said that he liked the breakdown of each little chapter as well.

Priscida is an alley cat that got adopted into an amazing family. She knew she came from nothing so she loves her humans so much. They took good care of her. Priscida finds the good and all things which makes her special.

Going into this understanding that it was a quick read, I wasn’t as disappointed with the length, as some readers mentioned. And really, wanting to read more is a GOOD thing. If it was a poorly written book, I’d be happy to put it down. However, I was so intrigued and inspired by the insight and activities in this book, that I didn’t want to put the book down at all. I feel like I could even use some of these activities in my daily practice as a School Nurse during vision screenings and counseling sessions. I love reading about different disabilities and their adventures in the world from the perspective of an actual disabled person. Please read!

The message that’s written in Priscida Finds Greatness is a wonderful message to push along to children, let alone the adults are sharing it with them. However the way it’s written here I feel it could be confusing. I tried to view it through the eyes of a child, but had to read it twice to best understand it.The illustrations are cute. Any child would be all for it.
Only thing I’ll say as the reader is that a parent may want to read through this book before sharing it with a child. I say that because you want to make sure that you’re sharing the message, which is Greatness, and not confusing them. Greatness can be shared and found everywhere and that’s the point here. A wonderful message for young and old.

This is such a lovely book. The poems are absolutely beautiful. It is extremely informative, but not in a boring textbook way. It has several activities in it as well, making learning more fun. This book is perfect for young kids to learn about people with disabilities in a way that they can better understand some of the struggles they face daily. It is also great for older kids and adults as well. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I loved this book. It really made me stop and think about those who experience blindness. The writing is beautiful. The activities included really give you an idea of what it would be like to experience the world without being able to see. I completed the activities with my family and kids. I’m always looking for new ways to help them understand and experience the world from other perspectives. This was the perfect book to do that with. I think this book is a great resource for everyone. I read the kindle version, but plan to order the physical copy to read again and keep it as a resource.

This book is a fantastic and insightful look into the lives of those without sight and how they perceive the world in a different way to those who can see. It speaks about different experiences of how not having sight can impact on the other senses and between the poetry, vivid descriptions and exercises within it, you find that it changes how you see the world as well by giving you a glimpse into a different version of the world around you.

This book isn’t a title I’d normally gravitate to, but the description intrigued me a bit. I grew up with a few girls that were deaf and it always interested me how they could adapt and how we (their classmates) adapted and learned with them. Although I don’t remember all the sign language I once knew, I still remember most of the alphabet and have found it helpful in my life.

That said, this book wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be. It was short, which I was expecting by the page count, but I felt like it was missing… something. I wanted more.

It would be a good resource for those unfamiliar with blindness at a young age. The activities could teach lasting lessons if done right. I liked the overall ‘our differences make us special’ message, and how the author touches on the fact that we’re all more different than we are alike. I’ve never really thought about it that way.

I’d give this book a 3/5 just because I think there needs to be more. More in the beginning, middle and even the end. Great idea overall though. Happy I took a look, hope the author will expand on the idea in the future.

I loved reading the poems. They really are spot on and made me think. The next portion of the book is filled with activities foe the reader to do. It was fun and I did learn a few things. The last portion is a QA. I can see why a few of the questions asked..because people are curious or nosy. The first one just flummoxed me. I think its because people with vision only think of colors…so seeing blank is unfathomable to someone not vision impaired.

This is a great book that is quick but very informative. The author does a good job getting her thoughts across. Very thought provoking.
