The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed
by Meghan O’Flynn is an absolute fantastic series. There is nothing better than having more than one book available to you for a great series because you can just jump straight into the next book. Meghan delivers stories that will leave your heart beating fast and wanting to turn on every light in the house.

Famished is very very dark and twisted serial killer mystery thriller story that contains very disturbing and extremely graphic scenes and may cause triggers in some. This style of story may not be for everyone and certainly not for the faint of heart. But for all that it is sickening and perplexing, gruesome and in parts repulsive, Meghan did a really good job at keeping me guessing right to the very twisted and creepy end. The story is told in several POV’s and I am still a little confused at some parts but soldiered on. At the end I just sat there and went wow, what did I just read and how do I feel? I still can’t answer how I feel but the story is well written, and the characters are disturbing and damaged, and the shock factor is off the charts.

Conviction An Ash Park Novel (Volume 2) is another winner in this thriller series. The angst, the tension, the lies, the fear and the loss is so strong that you will find yourself creeping closer to the edge of your seat and your shoulders tensing with each passing page. The emotions this story provokes are at times overwhelming and the tears flow but you are so glued to the story and what is happening that you can’t break away. If Meghan makes you feel like you are in the story and it is up to you to work out what is going on but don’t be fooled because what you thought you knew may not be as it seems. This is one book that needs to be read with a good strong drink. Good work Meghan.

Repressed is the third book in the Ash Park Series and is another brilliant addition to the psychological thriller series. Repressed is a lot dark and disturbing, a little chilling and super thrilling. Whenever I read anything from Meghan, I know I am in safe hands and always enjoy the fascinating and twisted world in which she weaves. The tension and suspense that built, not only in the story but within myself as I watched what these characters went through was compelling and gripping and had me on edge right the way through. I think this maybe the best book in the series to date. Will they survive all that is thrown at them or give up and give in?

I was so engaged and engrossed in this story that I read it all in one sitting.

I highly recommend this boxset to those who like to read something dark and twisted.

Famished (Ash Park, #1) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Jana Teppih

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is the opening to her Ash Park series that introduces us to Detective Petrosky who will be our lead throughout the series. How do I know? Well, I happened to pick up the fourth book first and realized that even though it sort of seemed like a standalone, I needed to come back to the beginning …
This opening to the series was a bit underwhelming, at least that is how I felt as I had read the fourth book … I know though that it will get more intense with each book as the writer gets more and more into the characters, giving them more dimension … it is a great start to a twisted labyrinth of violence where everyone has too many skeletons in their closets. The writer gives us a cat and mouse serial killer universe that leaves you doubting yourself and guessing at who it is.
I loved that the story was told from multiple characters’ point of view as it added dimension and layers. I have to warn you that it is very graphic so it is not for faint at heart! I will forge on to the next book in the series!

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you love murder mysteries, detectives that never quit, and stories that keep you guessing while turning the pages, then this is a book for you.

Detective Petrosky has a past that we get bits and pieces of throughout the story. It doesn’t seem like a good past, which makes him a hardened cop. But he’s perfect for Ash Park and the killer that’s on the loose.

Hannah has a past of her own, which is why she’s in Ash Park. But the sad thing is her past followed her here. Now people around her are dying.

Meghan O’Flynn is a new to me author so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this story. What a surprise! While this story is gruesome to read it is quite the adventure with surprises at every turn.
Well worth the read. This story is written in every character’s point of view which certainly keeps the mystery going of who the killer might be! There seems to be an awful lot of crazy in these characters heads.

Looking forward to the next book to see where Detective Petrosky and his friends end up!

Famished: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 1 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book was a tough one for me to get through, I will be honest. This book had me scared in a few places and I had to put my kindle down at times to catch my breath. Hannah Montgomery is a volunteer at a local women’s shelter in Ash Park. When women from her shelter go missing, Hannah starts to suspect that something is wrong, very, very, wrong, and she is very, very right. A serial killer is slicing and dicing up women in her neighborhood.
The police think that Hannah has something to do with it after her boyfriend is murdered in the same fashion. Hannah knows who the murder is…problem is….they are only getting started.
I couldn’t sit still with this book. I was so antsy reading this because of the detail of this book. My cat jumped on my bed at one point and I screamed! I love a good thriller and this book delivers all of that and more. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence. Highly recommended

Famished (Ash Park, #1) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Emily Walsh

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished
ByMeghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Famished (Ash Park #1) by Meghan O’Flynn was dark, gritty, and apart from having my heart in a vice, it had me hooked from start to finish.

My first read by this author I didn’t know what to expect. I just thought I was in for your normal, thriller mystery, like a CSI/Criminal Minds mix… No, no, no.. It was more on the darker side of Criminal Minds. Not only did I get attached to Hannah, I felt for her, somehow connected to her, and, I don’t even know what to say or think anymore.

Hannah was a good character, like I said I connect with her, and every minute of her hellish life I wish I could have been there to give her a hug, and just, put her in a bubble. Strong in her own right, Hannah was that MC you root for, hope for and just want all the good things for.

Damn Meghan O’Flynn, you managed to not only rip out my heart, but just when I thought things were looking up, you ripped it out again and stomped on it. Thanks….Sometimes there are no happy endings, and this book shows us, will for me I felt, it showed the real look at what goes on when trying to catch a killer. The grunt work, the long hours, and the constant feelings of guilt and grief that, you weren’t fast, or strong enough.

This book will push your emotions, will make you think it will end like your normal TV drama. Be prepared for some gut punching feels, and a good slap to the face. And that my friend is where I leave you, but yes, before I go, I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

I will now dive into the next book.

What is wrong with me? Good writing that’s what

Happy Reading

Imagine feeling so safe, feeling like your past is behind you, UNTIL killings start happening. That is how Hannah felt in Ash Park, just outside Detroit. She tries to tell herself this isn’t tied to her until the killer takes the life of her boyfriend and the killings are centered on the shelter where she volunteers.
Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is the first book in the Ash Park series and let me tell you, this book was intense, this book had a plotline that drew you right in, and by the time I hit the last page I was wanting more and more. This is the first I read by this author and it won’t be the last! This thriller, had me at the edge of my seat, with the vivid detail, I could close my eyes and see this town, the characters! Meghan O’Flynn is an amazing author and one I will want to read more of!!

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Completely Riveting! I could not put this book down! Famished is a novel written by Meghan O’Flynn. It is the first book in the Ash Park series. This author truly is an amazing writer! I love murder mysteries to begin with and have read some of the greats and this book is right up there with them! This story is spoken from many different points of views. However, it mainly follows a woman named Hannah, who is beyond a little bit on the scared and nervous side. It also follows Detective Petrosky who starts as the lead detective following a series of murders in Ash Park. Every character in this story has a dark past that we learn about as the story unfolds. Every character that is mentioned plays a part that makes the bigger picture. Somehow, Hannah plays the biggest part in all of this story. There are so many twists and turns and everything is so calculated. I was completely glued to my kindle! Unlike some of the main murder mystery writers, this author chose to add in some seriously sexy and steamy scenes. These scenes are pretty graphic but written so incredibly well! This story simply blew me away! I loved the writing and the characters and how everything calculatingly unfolds. I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I would definitely recommend this book to any reader who loves murder mysteries. Absolutely Brilliant! There are no other words to describe it!

Famished (Ash Park #2) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Crystal Davidson

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Meghan O’Flynn is a new to me author and I’m excited to explore more of her novels, especially the rest of the Ash Park series as Famished is book 1, and I enjoyed it alot! I was a little surprised and put out by the relationships in this story because all of the characters struck me as disconnected from their partners. I didn’t feel any passion or spark, and not just with Hannah. With Noelle as well. This took away from the feelings evoked when tragic events happen, lessening the overall edge of your seat excitement. I think what I liked the absolute most was that all of the characters are eccentric. And I LOVED how many twists are in this story. At no point was I 100% positive who the serial killer was, who was next, or why. 4 out of 5 stars!

The book was full of suspense, with an intense plotline. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!!

Famished: An Ash Park Novel #1 by Meghan O’ Flynn – Review by Liz Vrchota

Famished (Ash Park, #1)Famished by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I will admit I was hesitant going into reading this novel. I ADORE thriller novels. Love the gore and scares, and by all means give me all the twisted intrigue, mystery, with a twisty plot. I want to believe this could be real so I can be scared. See, we live in a pretty scary world already. One, where just watching the daily news is enough to make me want to put three locks on my door and cameras in my home with a fully loaded gun in my nightstand. So what really confused me was when I began to really get into this novel, was all those one star reviews that had me so hesitant to pick up a thriller novel from an author that I adore. I have several points I need to make because it has been really weighing on my mind here. First, Meghan O’Flynn is a clinical therapist and a mother. Can you imagine the horrors she hears and sees on a daily basis while having to go home and live a “normal” life and be a nurturing mother? I struggle as a mother with the guilt of knowing I brought a child into this world that is slowly, each day, becoming more and more depraved to a point where I fear to go to even the grocery store. She gets a backstage pass to this stuff. So yeah it isn’t so shocking to envision the phrase so often used to describe such shocking writing…

“Thomas grinned like a fifteen year old girl with a cock in her ass.”

Umm… you apparently don’t read, watch TV, or go to the mall, etc. I have heard phrases like this be slung around, all too much, sadly in one form or another. This is supposed to be from a depraved person and depicts a state of mind. It is crucial character development.

Second, gore and sex is definitely a major role is this book. Now I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It isn’t a necessary aspect for a thriller book, but for this storyline it was necessary to have the details in order to fulfill the plot. Given that nugget of information you can decide whether you’d like to give it a try or not, but don’t rule it out completely just because it is a part of the story until you consider that. It is not done in distaste or overwritten and everything has its place. I can think of many great horror movies that were amazing because they managed to be detailed with gore and violence to a realistic point. It made the movie realistic and feel as if it happened not was a written script. Those are the ones that get you. Famished does this, and that is a difficult feat!

With that said and out of the way, and if you have decided to keep going you are in for one hell of a thrilling ride. I picked this up about 8:45 at night, it was raining (again) and I just needed something to help me unwind to get to sleep. I had no idea that I would be reading well into the night and devouring this book in one sitting. In fact I am actually typing this review very sleepily at 4 am because I awoke with a start from a disturbing dream (those darn scary bedtime stories) and had to do something to distract myself for a bit. This book is still very much on my mind and I am sure it will be for quite some time. Luckily, Conviction, the second book is available now so I am off to dive right into it after this. I think I am going to skip out on those reviews this time! Happy reading, and scary dreams! Thank you so much Meghan O’Flynn for the bloody amazing thriller!

Famished (Ash Park Series Book #1) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Angela Hayes

Famished is the first book in the Ash Park Series by Meghan O’Flynn. It in an intense, dark, gory, clever serial killer thriller/crime novel that had me completely gripped in its hold from beginning to end. There were times I thought I should have looked away, closed the book and stopped reading because it was quite shocking and disturbing in places- but I couldn’t, I was glued to the page, heart in my mouth, on the edge of my seat trying to piece everything together and figure it all out before everything was revealed. But, wow- I did not see THAT coming, at all!!! Ms. O’Flynn spun a brilliant web of intrigue, mystery and danger- cleverly choreographing everything into a riveting story and keeping me guessing right till the very end!!

I can’t wait to dive into book #2!

Thank you, Ms. Flynn!!!
