Stone of Destiny by Nadine Travers is an absolutely amazing action packed adventure, one that will keep you hooked from the very first page. This is book one of Juniper’s story, and i admit, i am already addicted and need more! This is not my first book by Nadine, so i went into this excited, and came out of it ready and needing more. Nadine has truly outdone herself with this detailed, engaging, work of art! If you are a fan or the paranormal, this author is definitely for you. I recommend this book, as well as the rest of Nadine’s work! I look forward to seeing where this story goes, and seeing more of Nadine’s world!

What a great fantasy read! This is a great quick read. Its a fast pace story following Juniper on her mission to find the stone before anyone else! There are so many characters to read and learn about. It definitely keeps you reading to see what will happen next! Can’t wait to read the others to see where Junipers calling takes her next!

I give Stone of Destiny (Juniper Samoni Trilogy Book 1) by Nadine Travers, 4 stars.
This was a very good urban fantasy packed with suspense, action, and all the emotions you can fathom. The author does a good job of throwing in surprises that keep you guessing. If you have read the Supernatural Intelligence Agency series, then you will already be familiar with the characters in this book. Juniper is a good main character and I cannot wait to see where the next books lead us in her life. The book splits between the different characters as did the previous series, and the only disappointing thing to me was that for a trilogy named after her, I would have like to see more of her point of view. Other than that, it is an interesting story that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and you will be on the edge of your seat until the end.
If you are a fan of action packed urban fantasy, this book is for you.

The Graceful Ghost by Eleanor Dixon was a really good read! It started off a little slow in my opinion, as an adult, but got better as it progressed. This was a very sweet story, and definitely a hit for all ages. I loved the sweet characteristic of Grace the ghost, and how Lauren overcomes the fears and guilt that bothers her. The character development was great for every character. This was the first book I’ve read from Dixon, and I can’t wait to read more in the future!
What an amazing adventure that was!! The story was told from many points of view. It was very interesting reading all sides to the mission. The love stories, of course, are what kept me intrigued the most. I wanted so badly to know everything about all of these team members and their fated mates! Magic and all of the different creatures that it derives from is my favorite part of reading!!

Nadine Travers has another hit on her hands. The story of Juniper Samoni was an exciting adventure. This adventure included some twists and turns, surprises, and even love. Nadine Travers has created a vibrant alternate reality and I really enjoyed continuing the journey in this universe. I liked this story. It was a light hearted look into the life of a ghost who was on a mission to leave the school she was haunting and see the world. The journey Grace went on so that she could accomplish this was difficult and had some twists and turns. I had not really read a book that was told from the point of view of a ghost, so I found this book a refreshing change. Eleanor Dixon is a good author and I look forward to reading more from her.
Athalie (Sacrificial Chronicles Book 1) by Jordan Elizabeth. This book was soo good. Its not my usual genre but I loved it and it kept my attention turning the pages as fast as I could! Its the story of Athalie has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. She is to be the sacrificial lamb for her tribe but the Gods don’t see it that way they resurrect her and give her the task of saving the world. No biggie right? Somehow the Emperor has gotten his hands on a weapon that will not only take down the enemy but it will destroy their whole world. Athalie has to find the tailsman who can negate the power of the weapon. This sends her on a journey of all journey’s. Heading to Neoma she tries to talk to the High Priest but he does not believe her and locks her away so that she can not keep him from unleashing the weapon. Will Athalie be able to escape the prison the High Priest has put her in and if she can escape will she be able to save the world? Such a fun, fast paced adventure.

Maya dismissed the stories about magic as make-believe or perhaps senility from her godmother. Then the unthinkable happens. In Titanian’s Phoenix, Victoria Saccenti shows Maya Brown’s discovery of the truth behind Anna’s stories. Mays arrives home from work and is drugged by an unknown assailant. When she wakes up, she finds Anna has also been abducted. Anna assists Maya’s escape with magic and advises her to find Soren or Brant. When she arrives at the bar, she asks the barmaid where to find Soren. The large Titan appears suddenly behind her, causing her to faint. He has been expecting to claim Maya as his mate. Before her arrival, Soren had been watching a meeting between a man, daemon and an elf about production of something that would change the dynamics of the magical realm’s existence. Maya is about to embark upon a journey into the magic realm.
There is nothing negative to say about Titanian’s Phoenix. The descriptions of the scenery and the well-developed characters allowed my full engagement with Saccenti’s story. I felt the frustration that Maya felt when she didn’t understand how Soren could be amorous one day and dismissive the next. I was suspicious of Talaith’s quiet role as a powerful seer. This is a story that will captivate your mind and keep you begging for more. I sincerely look forward to reading the other books included in this series. I recommend this book for mature adults due to the explicit scenes, violence, and profanity. These elements do not detract from this five-star novel’s quality.
This is the story of Juniper Samoni, she travels the world on missions to retrieve relics and she has just come off of one mission and is debriefing the elders when we join her, she is recalling her last mission, it was successful, but she came across some unusual activity while she was returning, she was attacked by an opposing group which was made up of a quartet who do not normally work together and she was also rescued by someone while she was in the middle of it all, which was fortunate as if he hadn’t helped her out, then she probably wouldn’t have been where she is now.
While Juniper is going through all that, the Lady in charge of that mixed group is angry that she lost the relic and that the group failed her, but she is ready and has the location of the next relic and the group she wants to go after it, it is the Stone of Destiny, it holds the power to control people so that they will follow whoever wields it and it lies in Scotland and she sends her chosen group on their way there as soon as they are physically able to. Meanwhile Juniper is debriefed and has returned to her apartment to rest, but is waylaid by her friend who she has asked to look into a few things for her, however, she hasn’t found anything useful, but she finds out some other news instead and it increases her suspicions and makes her even more stressed about the situation. She talks with another friend who reveals that she is worried about her and that she has a bad feeling about the current situation, but she cannot pinpoint why and needs to do some more digging, as she leaves Juniper to rest, Juniper is hoping that she actually will as she has a feeling she might not get much of a chance in the near future.
The next thing Juniper knows is that she is dreaming of a cry for help, it is a stone and it is calling to her, she knows she has to go to the Isle of Skye, but she has no idea what will be waiting for her there, or whether she will be able to physically manage it on the little sleep that she has, but she has no choice, so she packs and gets ready to go on another mission, but before she leaves, her friend gives her a ring which supposedly matches her energy, but before she can ask for more information, she has left.
Will Juniper manage to find the Stone of Destiny in time, or will the worst case scenario come to pass? Will she run into the mysterious stranger who helped her the last time, or will the enemies she is sure that she will be encountering? This is a journey of twists and turns, the unpredictability will leave you wanting more and the amount of action contained in the pages will increase your investment in the characters.

Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team: The Complete Season by Claire Luana is made up of the 6 books of this series. It follows Zariya, a powerful half naga, on her quest to find out who is responsible for the death of her father. However, she doesn’t expect to find out her father was leading a double life, a life that she is drawn into as a member of the Phoenix Team, part of an elite secret organisation challenged with maintaining the safety if supes. As part of the elite team she must get to know her fellow team mates, track down those who betrayed her father and learn how to be a phantom. This series is really enjoyable, each book is a different mission so can be read on their own but I liked having them all together as it was so much easier to jump into the next story. As the books progress you get to know more about the other members of Phoenix Team and learn their stories. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of fantasy.

This is one series you do not want to miss and having the first six books, or the complete first season in this case, is a perfect way to devour this gem of a series. I was hooked right away with the detail in these novels. They make you feel as if you are right there with the Phoenix Team and the characters as they traverse and manage to make it through this inventive and fast paced world that Claire Luana has woven masterfully. This series kicks off with a woman who is facing the death of her father and figuring out this world she is thrust into. Nothing is what she has believed it to be her whole life and she is forced to make sense of it fast. The adventure and the intrigue is really fast paced and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat as they try figuring out what could possibly come next. Every book builds perfectly on the previous and this makes you feel as if you are in the thick of it. I am anxious to see what may come next!

I’m a sucker for a good plot, down to earth characters and a love story. And oh boy, did this story deliver and some. The story starts off with you stepping into this magically world with mythical creatures, humans and then you meet Soren – The tall, handsome, gets you weak in the knees, Titanian warrior that is not only trying to solve a murder mystery but also trying to find his mate. In his search, he finds Maya – the beautiful, witty, smart and charming human. I absolutely fell in love with these characters individually but when these two came together – the chemistry that Victoria Saccenti writes is perfectly done. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes adventure, supernatural beings and a good, hit you right in the heart, love story.

This was one of my favourite retellings so far! The way she writes this story is magical and I loved it. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come, it was a good story. I really liked that we have the regency period and it has the full beautiful ball gowns, chivalry, and proper etiquette. Melinda was a really interesting character and I love the interactions she has with other characters. It’s certainly a good story and when fairy blood meets tall, dark, and handsome you know it’s going to be good! Really enjoyed the book can’t wait to see where it’s going to go in the series.

I really loved these books. They are full of action and adventure which keep you gripped from the very first page.
Each book can be read as a standalone as each book deals with a different mission, however if you read them in order it builds builds characters better and makes the overall explanation of the big baddies easier to understand as the books progress.
I can’t recommend these books enough. I was hooked and read them all in 2 days as I couldn’t put them down.

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me hooked all the way until the end. This book is full of suspense, danger, action, magic, and wonderful characters. The author did an exceptional job making me feel like I was right in the story with her storytelling rich in detail. I found myself at the edge of my seat and turning pages quickly to find out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait to read the next one.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I love a good paranormal story but she exceeded all my expectations. This could be read by Jr High students as well as adults. The characters will draw you in and you will not stop until you are finished with this book. There are a lot of good lessons in the storyline that most teenagers should learn. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Grace has been bound to the ballet house for almost two hundred years. She has to figure out how to break her spell and she was told by one of her friends that she has to make a girl’s dream come true. Such a fun read. I was immediately sucked into this story, with all the magical beings and action involved. The part about Maya being the destined mate for Soren was so sweet and watching their relationship unfold was also very sweet. Maya is a human and Soren is of the Titanian race, but Maya is not only human. Soren and his friends find out what Maya is truly capable of and the powers she receives and it is nice to see she is fitting in and grasping her new life. Their relationship starts of kind of iffy, due to Soren following the laws of his people, and for a minute I didn’t think Maya was going to accept their relationship but, they worked through it and came out stronger. I loved this couple and watching them go on an adventure to figure out who and which race was trying to destroy humans and other beings. It might be a long shot but for some reason I feel like Soren’s uncle Gustaf has something to do with it, he seems kind of shady. I loved all the characters in this book, each was very well written in and interesting to get to know. I hope there is another book, I can’t wait to see what is in store for these friends next.
Athalie by Jordan Elizabeth a fantastic four-star read. This is number one in the Sacrificial Chronicles series and I want more, I so nearly gave this five-stars, as in places it needed it, but then in others it did not deserve it. The drama and action will keep you on the edge of your seat, while we follow Athalie on her journey as she carries a massive burden, a burden for someone who is much beyond her years. I have high hopes for the next story in this series as I am sure it will continue with the great world building and just get stronger.

I really enjoyed this story. It is another version of the classic story of Cinderella. I loved how it had the elements of the classic story, the orphaned girl, a prince, and lots of magic. However what I found endearing is that it is set in more real life situation. Although there is some fairy magic it contains more realistic elements such as the respect that Miss Wychwood had for her family who took over her home when her father past. Even though they treated her as a servant she was always respectful to them.

The Stone of Destiny by Nadine Travers is a paranormal fantasy story about Juniper. Juniper was an orphan at a young age and adopted by Lilandra, the mentor of the Witch Warriors. Juniper was extremely emotionally driven in her missions. In her dreams, magical stones would call to her to rescue them from evil forces. The book opens with Juniper using her limited magical powers to keep a stone from a group that was made up of a werewolf, a witch, a vampire, and a demon. Just when it seems that she is about to succumb to her enemies, a strange man comes to her aid, and she escapes to safety. While recovering, Juniper is called again by the powerful Stone of Destiny. A secret power that Juniper holds is becoming stronger the closer Halloween approaches. Meanwhile, a strange being has sent the evil group in search of the same stone. Donovan, the werewolf, is mated to Sophia, a fire witch. Cross unions are illegal and the mysterious Lady has promised to use the powers of the stone to change the laws so that crossing of species is no longer a death sentence. Unbeknownst to them, the Lady has a much more sinister plan and is using the group as mere pawns.
This book defines good and evil but there is actually good within the evil. The group fighting against Juniper is actually looking at making life better for all. They are extremely loyal to one another and on many opportunities, try to avoid conflicts with the Witch Warriors. When they encounter Lilandra, she also avoids killing any of her enemies. Juniper is very hot-tempered and acts without thinking about the immense amount of danger she places herself in. The strange man that saved her in the first fight starts following her, which she resents. For some reason, the young woman seems to think that she should always be alone. This attitude and lack of forethought does have disastrous results to others that want to ally with her.
I would recommend this fantasy book to young readers with caution to some profanity used. There is a lot of action and the fight scenes are not exceptionally gore filled. Most of the book is from Juniper’s view but occasionally shifts to the perceptions of the other main characters. I couldn’t help but empathize with Donovan’s intentions because, as an antagonist, he was literally trying to make a better life for everyone. The ending of this book allows a seamless transition to the sequel.

I really enjoyed this paranormal story by this new to me author. I haven’t picked up one of their books before but I decided that this one sounded good and had an amazing cover so I took the leap, I am so glad I did. The writing was good and the characters were fantastic. I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2 & 3 and I hope they’re just as good as this one! This story follows Emma as she runs from her ex. She ends up in a small town in England where she meets Toby, an innkeeper, but he also has secrets of his own. They get their start when he saves her from being mugged. Turns out, Emma has a stalker and Toby will not let anything happen to her. What made this story pop for me is that both main characters are strong, and I loved that it was set in England. I have never been, but the descriptions of scenery were detailed nicely.

Nice short and sweet read perfect for young girls or any age really. I was sad for poor Lauren, she seemed to be at war with herself. She loves dance but feels she shouldn’t be doing it anymore as a punishment to herself. On one hand she is mad at her dad for leaving, on the other she thinks it’s her fault for his accident. She also seems older than her years for wrestling with her feelings of staying in the dance school or leaving but wanting to do what is best for her mom, not herself. The character of Grace is great in helping Lauren realize her dreams and helping achieve them by stopping the bullying that is going on from another dancer who is jealous of the attention Lauren is receiving. I really enjoyed watching the sweet friendship of Lauren and Katie grow and, seeing the bully of the school, Allison, finally come to realize that the way she had been acting was only hurting herself in the end. This book has such sweet moments and nice lessons to be learned.
Such a fun retelling of Cinderella. This book was giving me Pride and Prejudice vibes and I was loving it. I like how two friends devised the plan to trick everyone to see how they would treat each of them based on their status. Melinda however was not too sure about the identities of each man. Melinda is smart, independent and a little on the rebellious side. It’s sad to see she has to suffer with her cousins and Aunt who treat her like Cinderella was treated, but she found ways to get around her orders. I like how Kaye, her childhood friend fell for her, and she thought she was falling in love with the poorer of the two men… Such a nice short and sweet story.

What a wonderfully written story that can be enjoyed by all ages. It’s a fast paced story I absolutely devoured. I’ve already told my twelve year old niece about it she’s excited about reading it. This author, Nadine Travers has become one of my go to authors. Her descriptive writing styles make reading effortlessly. She creates the world and I just get lost in it. The descriptive scenery makes the world real. Her plot line has some punch to it. It kept me engaged the entire time I read the book. Her characters fly off the page. In this book, Juniper is a fabulous main character. Juniper has been asked to go and get the Stone of Destiny. She needs to get it and protect it from evil. Stone of Destiny has the power to make people slaves. Can you imagine this getting in the hands of evil?. Juniper is up for the challenge and what a challenge it is. This story is packed with adventure and mayhem, I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to see what is coming up in the next book.

Wow what can I say about this book. It was a very gripping story that I couldn’t put down. I was hooked from beginning to end. The book is full of adventure and also romance and how losing a loved one isn’t always the end.
Athalie is 17, she is engaged to be married and her life seems happy. However every year her town sacrifices a virgin to the God’s so that there town in blessed and this year Athalie is chosen.
Sentenced to die she faces her death head on but when she gets to haven she realises things aren’t what they seem. The high priest is planning on releasing a weapon with dire consequences.
Athalie is sent back to her life to stop this event happening and with the help of her fiance they travel the world trying to save it.
Can they succeed in time? Will Athalie live to he with her true love? Or will she need to sacrifice herself again for the safety of the world?

This is a quick read that encompasses a wonderful faery tale. It is easy to read and enjoyable. It’s been a while since I’ve read a historical romance. I was delighted in being taken back to a different time. The story moves at a fast pace. The character easily drew me in. While I didn’t connect much with the Davenports, the two guys seemed fun and I liked their camaraderie.
Overall for a sweet, fun read..this is your book! Who doesn’t love a little faery tale?

Athalie meant to be the yearly sacrifice just wants to live but knowing she will benefit her emperor accepts her fate. Unknowing to her empire the emperor wants to use a deadly weapon that can unknowingly destroy the planet once activated.
The book is full of twists and turn. You never know what will happen next. It leaves you on the edge of your seat with each new chapter. I can’t wait for what this series may have in store.
