This is an amazing book. Cahki starts out being kidnapped and sent to another Empire to marry Prince Sung-Jin. Oh, from there the adventures begin as they try to save the empire. I found this book to be fast-paced and action-packed. I have enjoyed everything this author has previously written. This type of book is new and I loved the pace of the story along with the characters. They are feisty and determined to save the kingdom. It’s a wonderful read that I would recommend to anyone.

This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy her writing style and attention to details that make her stories pop. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is hard to put down. The characters pulled you into the story from the start and kept me engaged to the end. They are connectable, strong characters that have great growth throughout which made the story easy to read. This is a story about saving a kingdom when the odds are against you. This is a story you don’t want to miss. It is fast paced and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

Camden is in over his head, there is much happening on this island and it’s hard to tell who is on which side. Who can he trust? Will his father catch wind of Cam resurfacing after all these years? Will they make it off the island?
This book was chalk full of adventure and had elements of magic, murder, ghosts,and pirates. It also delved into some darker themes like sacrifice, sexual assault, and suicidal thoughts. This book is not for the faint of heart. The characters have a lot of depth but are very relatable. I found myself connecting with Annie. She seems quiet and dark but she has a sweet side and wants to help those around her. Camden appears arrogant and full of himself but is actually full of self doubt and regret. I enjoyed getting to know these two.

This is definitely different than my normal reads because I usually stay away from romances set in the past/outlander/historical romance type reads BUT I am very glad I picked this one up! It sucked me right in and kept turning page after page. The story was very fast paced and I liked the authors writing style. Anna is the MC and she was awesome. She makes the best of her situation gets stronger and stronger as the story goes on even though she has every reason not too. I am very glad I got to read this story and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! Happy reading!

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster! Lady Ann Aubrianne went through great lengths to protect the ones she loves. She questions her husband when he starts disappearing for unknown reasons, and hopes that it won’t have dangerous implications. Larkin who is a royal guard has been having these dreams about this mystery woman, whom he met many years ago. When he meets her again, the sparks seem to fly. This historical romance had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I as reading. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series!

Not only is this book cover beautiful but the story itself is so good. I cannot wait to continue this series! Kelleher has such a beautiful way of eloquently writing her story. Female lead character, Anna, goes on with her life as planned with a quick marriage to Lord Roger. She thought she was going into a marriage of love but it is quite the contrary. Her husband treats her poorly and disappears randomly quite often. Then, there is Larkin, who is a member of the Royal Guard, and had a previously chance meeting. Meeting now again, they help each other as well as develop deep romantic connections. I absolutely loved fantasy, romance, castles with secret passages, etc.

This is the first book in the Heart and Hand series and what a start, I could not put this book down! Even at almost 450 pages, it was too short I needed more, especially being part of one of my favourite genres – historical fantasy romance. I enjoyed the way in which the book was written; I found it easy to follow and flowed well. The descriptive world creation allowed me to feel immersed in the book, stepping into the pages alongside the characters easily. I absolutely loved Anna, she’s so strong in the face of her arranged marriage and the secrets and ‘unpleasantries’ (to put it nicely) surrounding her husband. She’s capable, gifted and ahead of her time in many ways, becoming more determined at every instance of cruelty from Roger. I felt so bad for her, she had such hope only for it to be dashed away, but I was so happy to see how she rose above and was rooting for her possible second chance with Larkin. I loved this book, but I will state that it is not for everyone. Trigger warning – Do not read this if you are not able to read about sexual sadism and just straight up violent cruelty. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!

Wild Lavender (Heart & Hand Series Book 1) by Nicole E. Kelleher. This is a great fantasy romance. Its set in in the Kingdom of Aurelia and Anna is from Chevring where her family is known for having war horses Anna at 18 marries Roger due to her father basically bartering her to him and at first seems perfectly happy but as time goes on she sees him less and less. She becomes suspicious of his being gone and what he is doing. While he’s not cheating on her he is making choices she would not approve of. Anna becomes happier with Roger gone than when he is home. Anna often thinks of the man she met when she was 16, Larkin. He was gentle and kind and was the kind of man she wanted to marry. Larkin has thought about Anna for years but could never find her. Then he is told that he has to investigate Roger for Treason he finds her again. Will Anna be able to finally find real love and be treated the way she should be? I loved this amazing book!

Sarge by Stuart Ledwith is a unique story woven around a lot of interesting elements- intriguing characters, military missions, UFO’s, drama, action, romance, heartache, emotion, and more. This book expands on Mission 3047, but here, we get Sarge’s story. Again, Mr. Ledwith gives us a unique opportunity/perspective by giving Sarge a chance to tell his story- along with some of the author’s own experiences to help build the body of the story. Again, as with his other unique offerings, I appreciate the amount of blood, sweat, and ‘soul’ that the author puts into his writing, as well as his unique take on things. This isn’t the last we hear of Sarge as apparently we get to hear more from him in the next book. Happy Reading…

This is the 1st book in the Hearts Below Series. I blew through this book in one sitting. Truthfully, I liked the romance/relationship between the two main characters, Arryn and Rowan, more than the mystery and adventure in the story.
While the adventure is not boring, it just falls a little flat and I felt there wasn’t many details on what was actually going on besides the people Above thought they were monsters below and the people below thought they were monsters above. There wasn’t much background on why the wicked forced people to suffer down below or why anyone thought they were monsters. There also wasn’t a clear understanding of WHY the King Below wanted to break the barrier. We also don’t know much of Roman’s powers and why people are scared of them. The void itself is also another unknown, but that part didn’t bother me as much. It also was a little confusing how the Royal Guard treated Rowan, sometimes they seemed overly nice and at other times completely hated him – with no context as to why (besides his mysterious powers no one even knows the full extent of).
With that being said, I did very much enjoy how the relationship evolved with Roqan and Arryn. I absolutely loved BOTH of their growth, not only together but in their own separate growth. I love the new Arryn and Rowan, and I enjoyed watching them get to where they ended up by the end of the book. I wish we would have seen a little more interaction with Rowan and Phaedron to really grasp the brotherly bond between them.
I will definitely read book 2 and recommend this series to those who love a little romance with their fantasy and fae characters.

Rowan is an outcast because of his use of black magic, but he only has one person he cares about: his brother Phaedron. Rowan succeeds in defending his brother Phaedron from a creature from the Worlds Above. Rowan, though, is prepared to give the woman to the king and put an end to monsters once and for all when that first monster is joined by a second, this time a woman yearning for her prince.Any woman would do it for the man she had been brought up to wed. Additionally, saving the prince could be enough to persuade the monarch to approve the marriage that her parents have been attempting to set up for her whole childhood.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.
Arryn has to rescue the Prince. I mean, when a girl is born and raised to marry said prince and then he just vanishes into the Lands Below what do you expect? She’s not some damsel in distress who’s not going to at least try to save him…but this Land Below is not what she expected.
Rowan cares about one person and when his brother is injured, he’ll do anything to make the culprit from the Worlds Above pay. But when his brother asks, he’s forced to help a second person from that world and do what he can to get her back…
What happens when they get to know each other? Can he let her go when they find the barrier? Will she go back home and happily continue on with her life?
This book starts right in the action! I love when I get pulled in right away and this definitely did that for me. It is compared to ACOTAR and I can definitely seem some similarities in the way the story feels.
Typically this would be a book I’d have flown through, but I don’t think I was in a good space to read it fully. Despite that, I enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to try again when I’m feeling more in to it.
It has a good level of spice without being too overpowering to the story and enough to bring you back for book 2. Definitely would recommend this for any fantasy romance readers!
We first met the elusive Sarge in the sci fi adventure prequel Mission 3047 who was the partner of June. Unfortunately, we did not get to know a great deal about him in that book, but this is his story. Sarge is an engaging original story, which is as unique as Stuart and his story telling. Stuart is good at giving his readers stories that are easy to read, intriguing, interesting and entertaining but also a little different and that is what I have come to like about his writing. It was easy become invested when learning more about this complex yet simple man. It is about his life, his struggles, his hopes, his passion, his friendships, his love and dreams and so much more. It shows just how this man became who he was that we met in Mission 3047. Sarge is a man with a deep sense of compassion and embraces life even though it was once highly lacking. He develops deep connected friendships/relationships. He finds the woman of his dreams. He joins a top-secret agency. What happens when he joins? Is this where he goes on secret missions, explorations into space, meets aliens or is it something else? To find out you will need to grab a copy and settle in. This is a tale that will engage readers right to the end.

Nicole Kelleher ‘s Wild Lavender is a second chance romance set in medieval times when women were often considered property, Anna had run into Larkin one night years ago- both held that moment in their thoughts. Larkin wanted to see her again but nobody knew Anna. In court her formal name of Aubrianne was used.
Anna was part of an arranged marriage to Roger of Stolweg. As part of her dowry, was her knowledge of Chevlain horses. However, Anna’s fairy tale marriage thoughts come crashing down when Roger was forceful with taking her maidenhood. His abuse didn’t all fall upon Anna, as he often targeted his servants too. When the stableboy,Will, was tied to a post for 15 lashes, Anna intervened and took 9 lashes in his place. Grainne, her lady’s maid, helped Anna with teas that would prevent pregnancy, healing balms and sleep aids preventing Roger from physically harming her. However, the beatings continue and Anna plans to escape after killing Roger.
Meanwhile, Roger has garnered attention from the Royal Guard. Larkin believes the appearance of Chevlain Destriers at Stolweg was part of an elaborate plan against King Godwin. Therefore, Larkin joins Captain Baldric, Warin, Trian, Tomas, and Ailwen as they ride to Stolweg to determine if Roger will be charged with treason and murder,
The perspective of this story is told from multiple well-developed characters. The journeys of each group are written in detail. This made it easy to envision the surroundings. The flow of the story was easy to follow. However, I think the constant turmoil between Larkin and Anna was somewhat tedious. I would happily rate Wild Lavender 4 stars.

This is the first fantasy/paranormal romance book in the series. In this book we follow the story of Arryn and Rowan. As one of my favourite genres, I was looking forward to getting into this one and I’m glad I did, it was great. There are some mature scenes so I would not recommend for younger readers. I enjoyed the world that the author created, and the descriptive writing made it feel like I could step into it to join the characters in their adventures. I can’t wait to get my hands on another book in the series just to continue exploring the worlds, so much potential for more great plots – the below and the above! The plot was incredibly interesting, the above and the below created an intriguing element that had me wanting to know more, there’s so much more to be explored there. The characters were also well-written, described well so I could picture their mannerisms and features, and believable. I loved both Arryn and Rowan, especially given how they started out. Enemies from different worlds, I enjoyed how they gradually got to know one another and sparks flew. It was a believable and enjoyable transition, and I was rooting for them to the very end. They’re both determined and strong characters, and even with magic, they felt real for me. I look forward to seeing what the next book will bring!
The author did an amazing job building a world with fantasy and characters where you can connect with them. When I got this book I thought about the Thorne of Glass with so much action and compassion. This book has so much vividness in it.
The main character Arryn is wow… Love how she makes the decisions and how Rowan is brave and knows what he is doing. Most heroes stumble and don’t know what to do. Since there is a little spicy scene but there is a whole lot of action in this story that makes it amazing. The connection between Arryn and Rowan was amazing and how their magic works in different ways.
Ooooh, I loved Anna and Larkin. The chemistry was amazing between them. Not to mention, fate is intervening here. Now, this book is a slow burn. Anna finds herself in somewhat of an arranged marriage and not with our hero. This isn’t a spoiler because it happens right in the beginning. I will say I felt some disappointment that she wasn’t going to be with hero right from the beginning. But this story isn’t just a romance. In fact, the start is somewhat of a rough read. I found myself engrossed as Anna weathered the storms. In these times, we see just how strong she is. I love the mystery of the castle, the feeling of “espionage” but not really in a traditional sense, and the love the people started to feel for Anna. I had trouble putting this book down because I needed to feel Anna was safe. Amazing writing! I was hanging on every word!

This is a very interesting story. Getting the backstory to Sarge was quite intriguing. I do have to have say that I was lost a couple times but did come back to the trail. The love story was well-written. Finding a beautiful woman unconscious and rescuing her is most mens dream. It’s a story that may send me to read Mission 3047 again. The story will have you thinking. It’s a good story with lots of adventure and a bit of romance.

Captivating sorry line This is the first book in the Heart & Hand Series and the first I have read from this author. It is an intriguing historical fantasy romance based in a world made up of realms. There is a little bit of everything in this book -from heartache to love, war to hope, politics to prophecy and so much more. The writing is well paced and executed well. I would have liked a bit more focus on the magic and a bit less focus on the drama but that’s just my preference. Recommend.

Another delightful book by Dr. Stu Ledwith for your reading pleasure. This book contains the backstory of the mysterious character in the prequel Mission 3047 named Sarge. It delineates his upbringing as a disadvantaged youth to becoming a highly decorated Navy SEAL. It describes his rescuing and marrying a wealthy young woman in Portugal and settling in America where he begins a new job with a secret security agency.
In this day and age with UFOs and UAPs being seen by military personnel and civilians alike, it seemed only appropriate that I include them in my latest book, “Sarge.” ETs, extraterrestrial beings, have been a part of my life for many years now. I have talked with many and have taken pictures of UFOs with my phone’s camera. You can see three of them on the cover. I was lucky, I guess, that the soul of a dear friend of mine cared to share her deepest fantasies with me and gave me permission to write them as I saw fit. It was a nice fit since I love to write soul’s stories. All of my books include the story of at least one soul. My lifetime work has been to help souls heal and arrive at the destination here that most fit them and their particular gifts thus helping their human hosts heal as well. I was shocked when I learned that this is the author’s first book. I cannot recommend it more highly! It is beautifully written and so easy to get lost in. This historical fantasy romance is perfect for curling up on the couch with a blanket and just losing yourself in the pages. The characters are interesting and relatable, and I could not help but be intrigued by Anna’s story with Roger and then Lark. This book does involve mature themes but was not a problem for me. I found that every aspect of the story made the world that much richer in my mind’s eye. You will find a little bit of everything in this book, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Get ready to devour!

I cannot describe how amazing this book is! The beginning was the perfect setup to meet the main character Cam (a man of many names). He has been working under a pirate crew since his mom was killed. After taking a dangerous mission he instead finds himself waking up with new powers of flame. He must now try to save his crew from the hands of an evil doctor.
I absolutely love both Cam and Annie! Cam is a kick ass pirate that is trying to the best he can in his life. Annie has been forced to endure horrible acts by her adoptive father. The plot continues to thicken and comes to life with many twists and turns as we discover more about the key players on the island and their true intentions. Get ready to trust no one!
This book is full of suspense, mystery, and great world building! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

Wild Lavender is the first book in the Heart & Hand series. It’s a beautiful historical fantasy romance with a heroine who resists society’s expectations of her. Adventurous and inquisitive Lady Aubrianne is an enjoyable character, and her love of horses will make her particularly appeal to animal fans out there!
There is, of course, a strong romance story in this book established from the outset where a chance encounter brings Larkin and Aubrianne into each other’s lives. But there is also plenty of action and mystery adding layers to the story!
There are plenty of great characters in this book! One of my favourites is Gilles, the stablemaster. It takes time for Aubrianne to win his trust, but as she and we get to know him he definitely grew on me!
This book gets five stars from me, and I’m keen to read more of the series. I would recommend it to fans of mediaeval fantasy romance, particularly if you love horses!

Fantasy, enemies to lovers action adventure This was an unexpected find. I wasn’t really sure what I was delving into, but I was glad I did. Told in dual POV, Hearts Rescue follows Rowan and Arryn as they navigate the Lands Below to access the Worlds Above. What unfolds is an intriguing story filled with action, romance , monsters, magic and mayhem. A well written first in a series that has me eager for the next book. Highly recommend.
Shadow’s Fall (Shadowstalker Series) by Natalie Johanson – 4 out of 5 stars
This is the third book in this thrilling series. I highly suggest that you read the series from book one or you will most likely get confused on some parts too. All in all it is a wonderfully written dark fantasy. It has great characters with elements of magic. I recommend.
