Oh my word, what a book! This is a first read for me by this author, and I will now be going back and reading the first two in this series. I was able to read as a standalone but I want the backstory.
Its been a bit since I’ve read a mystery that I didn’t figure out way way before hand. I couldn’t read fast enough. I was sucked right in and while it took a bit to get used to realizing whose head we were in, as every chapter it switched with no header, i quickly picked up on who was who on how they thought/spoke.

I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Winds of Fear is the third book in the Fearless Series by Gledé Browne Kabongo. This is the third book but it can be a stand alone. I did not read the first two books but believe me I am reading them for sure now. Kabongo promised a gripping thriller suspenseful story and I believe she delivered that promise. Her plot line had me guessing throughout the story. Her characters were complex and relatable. In this book, Abbie Rambally is going to school for her PhD. She lives with her husband and three children. Being that she is in school, her family is a little busy and keeps her on her toes. New neighbors move in next door, and Abbie is concerned about the attention that they are giving her oldest child. Too many things are happening to her family and those around them. What exactly is going on? Will Abbie be able to figure it out? Is there something more happening that meets the eye? It is such a great read I HIGHLY recommend this story.

What a brilliant read! This had everything and more! It had twists and turns throughout that had me completely captivated and had me turning the pages until the very end! It had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation and leaves you actually second-guessing all you know about your neighbours. It is a vivid read, that you can’t help but become invested in. This was a brilliant introduction to this author and I can’t wait to discover more.

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series Book 3) by Gledé Browne Kabongo. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it certainly won’t be my last. Its the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Abbie Rambally who is chugging along with normal single mom problems until she gets new neighbors. They are fascinated by her oldest son to the point of being weird. When Abbie’s loyal Nanny up and quits without giving her any notice her new neighbor Jenna is more than happy to take over. Abbie begins to suspect the Payne’s are hiding something huge and she feels like she might be in danger. This book is so amazing I can’t wait to go back and read the others. Buckle your seat belts because its a fast ride!

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this suspenseful, scary yet terribly entertaining psychological thriller, you’re thrust into the world of Abbie, a driven, determined, strong-willed, dedicated mother, and wife. She’s dedicated a good chunk of her life to making the best life for her family. One that includes furthering her education, a goal she’s held strong with for a long time. Now, with things on a good track she feels like she can breathe again. But all does not stay on that track when her past threatens to overtake her current reality and her future. It started out with small things like new neighbors, questions being thrown out to them, moments of unease as well as incidents that shake the foundation they’ve built. Then it all hits the fan and suddenly Abbie is fighting for the one thing she holds closest to her heart, her family.

An unexpected threat is trying to tear her world apart. The question is, can she defeat it and get her life back? For a woman who has survived the unthinkable, this is the biggest crisis of her life.

This book was so amazing! There were so many times that I racked my brain, questioning everything and everyone as I read. I’ve become a suspicious reader that makes me think about things on a whole other level with each story I read. For me, this was an exceptional winner! I was thrown around with each twist, various POV’s and the sheer determination of Abbie. It has been quite some time since I’ve read a thriller that was able to grab me from the beginning and hold my attention. With this book, not only was my attention caught but held steady! I found myself reading half the book in one sitting, not wanting to miss a thing! I loved every bit of this book. Even though it can be read as a standalone, I would suggest reading the other books leading up to this one for more history on the characters and their stories. I will be going back to read them myself very soon.

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From the very beginning Glede Browne Kabongo sets the scene of intrigue which makes the reader want to know more. Winds of Fear twist and turns with every page you read – just when you think you know what really happened to Lucas and who the Payne family really is, the author sends in a curve ball. By the end you realise that a mother’s instinct is never wrong and it a reminder to us all to listen to this little inner voice. This is the third book in a series about Abbie Cooper and while I haven’t read the others the author has done an excellent job of making it easy to understand events in Abbie’s life that have led us to this unthinkable situation. I am now looking forward to going back to the start of the series and re-introducing myself to Abbie Cooper.

Winds of Fear gripped me from the very beginning. Glede Browne Kabongo does a great job of building suspense and making the reader want more. As a mother, it was easy to connect to the main character, Abbie, as her suspicions grow when she notices her new neighbors are a little too interested in her oldest son. This story is emotionally packed as Abbie battles with trusting her instincts and trying to focus on her responsibilities as a doctoral candidate. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo is an amazing and gripping story. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone – it is the first book I have read by this author and I didn’t at any point feel like I was missing something from having not read the previous ones.
This book was an absolute thrilling ride. The description alone caught my interest and from the moment I started reading the book I was hooked. At times it honestly felt like the pages turned themselves I was reading it that fast. I just had to know what was going on!
Having never read anything by this author before I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was a well developed and intriguing psychological story that I couldn’t put down. With fantastic characters there was nothing about this book I didn’t like. I cannot wait to read more by this author – starting with the rest of this series.

Winds of Fear: A gripping psychological thriller (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo and as the title states it is certainly a thrilling read. I have not read anything by this author before and I must say I am impressed with her work. This story is enthralling and intriguing. It is full of suspense and definitely leaves you with goose bumps, your heart pounding and sitting on the edge of your seat.

When the new neighbours visit, one thing Abbie Rambally is certain of is that something is not as it should be, call it mother’s intuition Their interest in her eldest son is not normal. When things don’t add up and their sitters go missing and their son is kidnapped all the pieces start to fall in place. Will they ever find them in time to get their son back?

This thrilling journey is a must read and I look forward to going back to the beginning, but I also look forward to more from Glede.

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love a good gripping and suspenseful thriller novel, so when I saw Winds of Fear and the thriller experience is screamed with the cover I knew I had to find out what the book was all about for myself. I have never read Glede Browne Kabongo before Winds of Fear, so naturally I was unaware until I started this book that it was actually book three in a series, The Fearless Series. I did not struggle reading this book or have issues with it as a stand alone read but, having read this one and enjoying it as much as I did, I am anxious to discover what those other two books hold as well. I am definitely going to check out all that Ms. Kabongo has penned as well.

This book was a crazy thrilling and mysterious read. I loved how I was constantly on the edge of my seat and waiting for that next spin in the plot. This book kept me guessing longer than most thrillers and had a few surprise twists that I never saw coming. That’s something I love in a good thriller as I tend to get them figured out fairly early on and it ruins the suspense build up for myself. This was so not the case with Winds of Fear.

Abbie Rambally is the main character, and we follow her as she is juggling her life precariously. She is busy raising youngins while also working hard to get her PhD. Everything seems to be mischief managed until a new set of neighbors move in and in turn turns Abbie’s world upside down. She is forced to listen to that inner mom voice and fight to keep her family safe. Things get crazier when the families nanny shows up dead and the neighbor has a hankering for her oldest child. As you can imagine just from these tidbits this book builds the suspense and takes you on a thrilling ride. As for more details you will have to devour this gem for yourself to get them. I can’t wait to see what will come next and read the other books which I am off to do right now… one-click syndrome lol.

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Winds of Fear is the third thrilling instalment in the Fearless series by Gledè Browne Kabongo. This is my first read by Ms. Browne Kabongo, and so I was excited to see what she could do. The blurb certainly promised a thrilling and suspenseful read- so I was sold- happily one-clicking a copy for myself and diving in- and I am happy to say it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be.
Even though this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone, which is exactly what I did. Anyway, this story has made me want to explore the other two books to see what they hold. It looks like they may be about Abbie, our main character in this book- so I am intrigued by the ‘backstory’ that may be contained there.
This book is an intriguing, suspenseful, chilling, and ‘edge of your seat’ thriller. It grabbed me from the get-go and had me avidly reading to discover just how everything would play out.
We follow Abbie Rambally who is working on getting her PhD. With her husband and three young children, they have a busy, but loving household. When new neighbours move in, strange things begin happening and Abbie’s motherly instincts are triggered when the neighbour shows a little too much interest in her oldest child. Things take on a more sinister edge when their nanny quits out of the blue, and later found murdered. What is going on? With danger close at hand and suspicions all round- you’ll need to hang on for this thrilling ride.
I am definitely looking forward to exploring the rest of this series, and anything else Ms. Browne Kabongo has/or does release.

Thank you, Ms. Browne Kabongo!

When other situations occur that feeling becomes stronger. Is Abbie right about her new neighbors? Are they not who they say they are? Is her family in danger? Read this book to find out.
