I’ve never read a book like this. The love story is unexpected, the plot twists are unpredictable, and the characters are undeniable. If you are planning on reading this book, be prepared for intense scenes, turns you aren’t ready for, and truths you can’t help but cry about. The main characters are very relatable, yet intangible at the same time. The book has a happy ending, so know you are working towards positivity.

This boxset is a great 5 star read.

You get pulled right in and get to know all of the different characters. We get different worlds and timelines as well. It took a little bit of time for me to get to know everyone and what was going on, the more I got into the story the more I liked it. Each of the characters are connected in one way, they have a voice that speaks to them and they are each facing some dangerous issues in their worlds. I almost felt like I was reading multiple stories in one book.

There is so much going on again with all of the characters. James pulls you right in with his writing and detail, you feel like you’re right there with them.

We have a race against time to find two seperate treasures. .
The reptilians are searching for something to help with their new weapon.
And Matt, Dan and Julie are trying to learn skills that focus around having a united front.

Overall, this boxset will have you on the edge of your seat with all the twists and turns
If you like action packed reads with great characters this is the series for you. I suggest reading somewhere where you can stay focused with no interruptions because there is so much happening. 1-click and find out for yourself who will be successful in their hunt. 1-click and get started with this great boxset today.

A must read! I am normally not a fan of sci-fi fantasy novels, but the Journeys Set takes you into a multiverse that really brings you to a place of wanting every complex drop of knowledge you can wring from the story. The first little bit of the first book can be confusing (I actually read it twice) but is full of very important details that you need to really be cognizant of space time dimensions and the silky threads that bind it together. If you are reading the series and feel like giving up I urge you to keep reading. The author really brings all these seemingly unrelated events to fruition. I thoroughly enjoyed the complexity of the inter dimensional threads that combined the characters.
The author takes you to places in such detail that you can actually see, feel and smell what he is describing. I absolutely love the details in this book. To me there is nothing better than an author who can create a picture so clear in your mind you can swear you have been there and This author does exactly that!
I also find the parallels between our world and the universes that have been created particularly fascinating. Believe me this series is a hidden gem. What a masterful multiverse the author has created!!! This story will take you further through time travel than ever before. Absolutely an amazing read!! Don’t miss out, grab this series as a set because you won’t want to put it down once you get started!!

I have said it before and will say it again, I love boxsets. This is a fabulous series to get in that form because you are getting an enormous amount of story and adventure and more for such and amazing value that it almost feels like a disadvantage to the amazing author. You can always tell with these books how much time and effort went into them with the imagination and fervor that is in the worldbuilding of the novels. They are just amazing and each one is a new adventure that will have you hanging on the edge of your seat as you navigate topics I am sure most wouldn’t even imagine could be so amazing and beautiful as well as fascinating. I am going to include the reviews of each of the first two books for now. I am not done with the third as it just released and just can’t give that to you yet until I do but I will be back to add to this when I do!

Journeys Through SpaceTime: Book One
Journeys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman is his debut novel and it is a doozy. This book is not one that I would normally pick up because I tend to get extremely overwhelmed with multiverse story lines. Now, I must say this book had its confusing times where I found myself rereading sometimes three times to finally sort it all out, but I felt like this book was worth it. That is where the key to a great book lays for me. He has managed to build up these beautiful and vibrant worlds so that you feel as if you are traversing space right along with the characters. I enjoyed the amount of effort and time that was so apparent while reading, that was put into this novel to make it all that it is. This book also incorporates a lot of different characters as well as the worlds so be prepared to take a deep breath and dedicate the time to this novel to get the maximum enjoyment out of it. I read it over holiday break so I feel like maybe I will need a reread when the tiny terrorists return to school lol. I will definitely be around for a book two to see what will come next.

Journeys Through TimeSpace: Book Two
Ok so I do not read multiverse or sci-fi books, like ever, but the first one in this series of Journeys Through from James Talisman kept me hooked completely from beginning to end and I am so excited that the second one lived up to the same standards and hype. Talisman has a knack for writing some vivid scenes that will literally take you away through the vast ‘multiverse’ and make you fall in love with the characters along the journey. I love how this is not an original idea per say amongst the sci-fi world, it is completely written in a way that it is fresh and very original. I can’t honestly say I have ever read other books like this or enjoyed them.

I know this is said to be able to be read as a stand alone novel but I would HIGHLY recommend that you start with the first book, Journeys through SpaceTime. You will not be disappointed that you had the chance to experience the universe that Talisman has created in these novels. I am very excited to see what the next book will hold and what characters and worlds we will get to visit in that one.

A box set is such a great thing, there is no waiting for the next book when you finish one. This is a great set of books. These books have taken me on an adventure of great world building, complex storylines, a large array of characters and so much more. Each book in this series got better and better. This author writes with such great detail that you get pulled right into these Sci fi books. The complexity of these stories are definitely thought provoking and they are books that you can read multiple times and find things you may have missed the first time. I found these stories to be original and hard to put down. These are definitely a must read!

The Worry Knot by Mary Bleckwehl – Review by Erica Shoebridge

The Worry KnotThe Worry Knot by Mary Evanson Bleckwehl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an engaging, realistic, and well-written novel. When the novel opens, Rourke is in Grade 7, starting middle school, and is hoping for a fun year with friends, enjoying sports, and maybe making some new friends. His older brother Carson has autism and his parents have decided to reintegrate him into public school. And not just any school – Rourke’s school. Carson struggles a bit to fit in, and unfortunately causes more than one incident that embarrasses Rourke. Rourke loves his brother, but is sometimes caught between defending him and making the friendships he hopes to have. He feels a sense of responsibility for Carson, and so he worries a lot about how to best protect him.

I thought this book tackled a really interesting theme. Though Rourke is only 13, he spends a lot of time worrying about his vulnerable brother, while also having all the same challenges that middle schoolers face. He tries hard to make the best decisions for both of them, and his anxiety over Carson bleeds into all areas of his life. Learning how to manage competing demands with grace and loyalty is lesson that is universal. The story is nuanced and realistic, and very well thought out.

Is there a third book?! Cliff hanger!!! I am so captivated by Arabella’s story, I need to know what happens next! The trip to Ireland is not what I expected to happen, it was so much better. The storyline touches your heart when the witches see the conditions of the field workers’ families, you really feel for them. But now Arabella’s life may be in danger and you become so connected you have to know what will happen! Very good series so far, I hope there is much more to come.

I absolutely love when authors put out box sets. This set of books is a great one if you’re looking for an adventure you won’t forget anytime soon. Each book just gets better and I keep finding myself like each one more than the last. The characters are complex and well written so easy to imagine them all. The storyline definitely plays out in front of your eyes so easily, you can tell the amount of details the author put in. If you’re in the need of a read that’s just a bit different than what’s out there already I highly recommend this set of books. Excited to see where this author takes readers next. Four stars!

Book1
Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) is the first installment to this Sci/Fi/ fantasy story. Mr. Talisman gives us a complex and detailed story with lots of characters to keep track of. This story has everything that a reader could ask for including action, hidden agendas, politics, adventure, and danger. There’s so much in this story that you find yourself flipping the pages eagerly to find out what happens next. Since this is the first installment to this series there are a lot of suspenseful moments, some of which get tied up in pretty bows and others that are left unsolved, leaving his readers to anticipate book two. But if your looking for an exciting Sci/Fi/fantasy book to read this weekend then I highly recommend Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman.

Book2
James Talisman does it again! Journeys Through TimeSpace was even more amazing then Mr. Talisman’s first book, he really knows how to deliver a plot that hooks us from the beginning and characters so fantastic that you can’t put his books down. While this book includes time travel, danger and more, Mr. Talisman has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are right there with his characters. Mr. Talisman has a very vivid imagination and he gives his characters lots of plots and agendas, the question is will his characters succeed? You will have to read Journeys Through TimeSpace to find out.

Book 3

While this is the third installment in the series it definitely didn’t disappoint. Once again we’re taken on a wild fantasy/sci-fi adventure. Several of my favorite characters make a reappearance in this third installment, and several new characters that just pull the story together and give us a fantastic adventure. Personally I really recommend reading the previous two books in this series, while you technically don’t have too it is highly beneficial for reacquaint characters, plot lines, and backstory. This story is so well thought out, full of complex characters, multiple layers of detail, and an adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This story was so great I can’t wait to see what our author gives us next.

Arabella discovering her powers and accepting them so quickly but having to convince those around her that her powers are good. I loved the different writing style on this story vs. most other witch stories that focus more on how society treats them rather than their own community and the development of skills. Rowena is my favorite sister, accepting and protecting Arabella at all times. Elizabeth seems to have a back story deeper than what the book leads on. Very well written, can’t wait to read the second book!

Unlock the Angel (Seraphim Angel Order 1) by Calla Zae – Review by Erica Shoebridge

Unlock the Angel (Seraphim Angel Order, #1)Unlock the Angel by Calla Zae
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A very engaging romance between an seraph come to earth and an entrepreneur in New Hampshire with an affinity for the moon and her goddess. When Dae moves in next door to Cathy as a cover for fighting deadly demons, the sparks sizzle immediately upon them meeting. Despite their instant attraction, there is much that Cathy doesn’t know about about Dae. Would she believe him if he told her he was an immortal angel sent to earth to battle evil? Or would she think him crazy and run away?

The connection between these two was irresistible and engaging. I had a bit of trouble connecting to the story in the beginning, but once the relationship started to develop, I was hooked. There are some steamy sections that definitely hit their mark. Tika is a fun character that added some levity and humour to the story. A good read!

I never thought that someone could depict all of the emotions and anxiety that someone experiences in middle school, but our author has definitely captured all of those emotions perfectly. The characters are endearing, the plot intriguing, and the tension and anxiety almost feel real. This story is full of friendship, sibling love, acceptance and so much more I simply couldn’t put it down. This book was so good that not only does it show all of the anxiety and angst of teenage drama, but also shows us the assurance that everyone has challenges. So if your looking for a good emotional book with a fantastic ending then pick up this one today.

Things always warm up quickly when a firefighter or an arson investigator are involved!! Bryce loves his work, so much that he often times becomes consumed by it. He’s used to seeing some pretty traumatic things as a result of fires but often doesn’t give them a second thought.

Gina, or as her friends like to call her, “Fish”, has seen some pretty traumatic things in life too. After all, she did a stent in the service and has the wounds to show it. Since returning to civilian life, Fish enjoys her online teaching job, as well as sewing and craftwork. She finds a lot of purpose in her work and is doing all she can to get on her feet and be the best she can be.

When Fish and Bryce meet up, the fireworks aren’t on display right away but hold on to your seat…they will come quicker than you might expect!!

I loved the character of Gina as she reminds me a little bit of myself. I am a crafter and love teaching children as well. Gina loves doing craft shows every weekend and having new items to display. Her house is covered in supplies and creations. I can identify with her!

This was a fun and rather quick read for me by a new-to-me author! I understand that this book is part of a series but I didn’t feel like I was missing information by not reading the books that came before it. I do plan on reading the other books to learn the back stories of Gina’s friends, who she calls her sisters.

I enjoyed this new world, but most of all I was caught up with the characters. The mystery and intrigue surrounding the characters definitely ramps up the plot because you don’t know who you can trust. I’m not sure if who appears to be a friend is actually a friend which is so realistic. I could not put this book down because I had to know what was going to happen. This is not a predictable story. Beautiful world, great characters, and unpredictable plot.

Book One:
Journeys Through SpaceTime is the first installment in The Journeys Through series.

As a reader who does not often read sci-fi, I actually, really enjoyed this book. Although there are quite a few characters and different points of view to follow at the beginning and it is a bit confusing, I enjoyed the character building and how it kept my attention and, in the end, all came together.
The story had a very interesting plot and I enjoyed how the author brought all the characters together.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I cannot wait to read the second instalment Journeys Through TimeSpace.

Book Two:
Journeys Through TimeSpace is book 2 in the Journey Through series and just like book 1 it did not disappoint! I loved how readers learned more about the characters throughout this second installment in this series. It captured my attention and kept me wanting to know what happened to the characters when I had to be away from reading it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this series and book to those who love sci-fi and those who are looking to step outside their comfort book genre and want to read something fun, adventurous with a great storyline and awesome character building!

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Mr. Talisman has me hooked. I can’t wait to read the next book.

There are so many characters so it was hard to choose the quotes. Two that stuck out were characters from different worlds. Or different parts of the MultiVerse.

The first quote comes from Matt. He’s a college student in Colorado. The quote I chose for Matt is: “Doubt that, buddy. You seemed to be the one taking a beating earlier.”

The other quote comes from Queen Neferities. Part of another part of The MultiVerse. The quote I chose for Queen Neferities is: “I would like some time to think about your request. I will ask Aderan to arrange accommodations for you and Thoran while I spend a few days pondering your entreaty.”

Journeys Through TimeSpace (Journeys Through #2) by James Talisman

Mr. Talisman has done it again. The Journeys Through Series is now one of my favorite series. I absolutely love how he works his characters in.

Once again there were so many characters I could choose to get quotes from. These amazing characters are hard to choose from.

The first character is Captain Critosson. Captain Critosson from the Elipsson galaxy. They are heading to the mountain to get an ancient artifact. The quote I chose for Captain Critosson is: “I promise, Your Majesty. I will not let you down.”

Jennifer is Matt’s mom. She is worried about her son. There was a close call when she thought she would’ve lost her son. When the Director calls them together she needs the reassurance. The quote I chose for Jennifer is: “Thank you, Andrew. I just get a sense that young man has a very dark side. Almost like he is possessed somehow. With his resources, I wouldn’t want him to find out about those three.”

Journeys Through AllCreation (Journeys Through #3) by James Talisman

Another great read by the author. They sure know how to keep readers interested and I sure hope we get to see more of the characters.

Once again I had a ton of amazing characters to choose from. The two I chose seem to fit this story.

Rashael is from another planet and is sent to get something. When she and a friend get there they encounter things they weren’t expecting. The quote I chose for Rashael is: “Okay. I was enjoying the target practice… but you are right, as always.

Damon is the one who gives powers. He is also looking for something, but can he find it in time? The quote I chose for Damon is: “Of course not, my new friend. I have big plans for you. Please get up and join me for a discussion you will find interesting.”

Highly recommended for Epic Fantasy lovers.

Sci-fi is not my usual choice of reading material but every now and then I like to mix it up some. My go to sci-fi author? James Talisman for sure!

Journeys Through series is turning into a must-read series! This author does a great job creating not only one fantasy world but several within a universe. Those many different Verses are shown to us in the first chapter of the first book. And the adventure begins right away.

All three books keep you engaged and turning those pages. They must be read in order so you can follow Matt, Julia and Dan. These three friends grow throughout the entire series. I can’t wait to see what they do next! There are other characters from the different worlds who are just as intriguing and interesting! This sci-fi series is top notch and full of adventure!

Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3Journeys Through Collection: Volume 1-3 by James Talisman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In book one of this trilogy, “Journeys Through SpaceTime” the main characters are introduced as they learn about their special gifts. As an ancient being makes himself known to some key individuals across the MultiVerse, he embarks on a mission to show how they can manifest these gifts in the world around them. From an enlightened queen, to a skilled warrior whose determination is legendary followed by a university student, a leader of a utopian world who is as intelligent as she is beautiful and some humanoid alien species with an interest in science. These are the ones who will develop their skills, ideals, beliefs and values by learning about ancient secrets of creation, but will they learn what they need to in order to keep the MultiVerse safe from harm?

In the second book “Journeys Through TimeSpace” we observe the next stage of development in the key individuals we met in the first books as they go into the next stage of their development. However, it is the university student who must take on the responsibility of keeping the MultiVerse safe as yet another enemy attempts to do it harm. As they learn the ancient wisdoms taught to them by the celestial beings training them in a mystical land in the Himalayas, the humanoid alien species are seeking aid from other Secret Earth organisations. Both sides seek the ancient treasures needed for their plans to succeed, but as they journey through time and space, who will find them first, the aliens or those from Earth?

In the final book of this trilogy “Journeys Through AllCreation” an ancient prophecy speaks of dire consequences to the MultiVerse of an all powerful “God like” creature uses their intelligence and power to ally themselves with the Dokkaebi-of-all-Creation to create their vision of reality in all its glory. Meanwhile, the celestial beings who would be capable of stopping this diabolical plan in its tracks have gone missing, so ancient twins from the lost continent of Atlantis recruit a beautiful Queen and other team members to join their search for the Master Mage and the ancient artefacts they will need to stop this creature in its tracks. As this unpredictable prophecy plays out among the MultiVerse, the two opposing sides prepare for a confrontation between mortals and “gods” as the future of all the beings in creation hangs in the balance, but which side will be triumph?

This box set is as it says on the cover, a journey through space, time and all creation to attempt to save the MultiVerse and those who inhabit it, but whose beliefs will be the strongest and who will win out in this fast paced race against time, as those whose opinions lie on either side of the spectrum rush to confront those on the other?

I really enjoyed all three exciting and fast paced novels in this boxset and ‘binge read’ them all, as I was hooked from book one. Set in the ‘MultiVerse’ of multiple worlds scattered through both space and time this sci-fi/fantasy series took me on an immersive adventure. The world building is so well done that I felt as though I was on each world, and through the descriptive writing the sights, sounds and smells all came alive. Book one, begins with a mysterious voice which is heard in the mind of a selection of inhabitants, across the multiple worlds within the MultiVerse of space and time. There are a lot of different characters introduced from the various worlds, each with their own intriguing backstories.

I liked how the stories are told from each characters point of view, and all the characters are both likeable and relatable, which made me feel engaged with them. I felt as though I was there along side the adventurers throughout the three full sized novels. The novels do have multiple characters and it is hard to keep track of them all at times, however, the list of characters at the beginning of the books is a great idea and really helps. I feel that you do not have to be familiar with the MultiVerse genre to enjoy this boxset, as each novel has an exciting storyline which had me gripped, and introduces fabulously original characters. I recommend this series of enjoyable, exciting and engaging novels, which make up this boxset.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a fantastic set of books that will capture your attention right from the first word. I found that each book just gets better and better, building on from the previous. The stories and exciting and so well written that it was not hard at all to find myself getting lost within them. I loved the diversity of the characters and what each of them brought to the story. This is a fantastic series mac duo if three amazing books. I would highly recommend them and can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us.

A mysterious voice is heard inside the minds of multiple people across time and the multiverse to spread warning and encouragement for the amazing journey they are about to undertake. Beings across time and space will have to work together to save the multiverse from complete destruction.

This series is the first Sci-fi series that had me hooked from Page one. The intricate world building and character development is nothing short of amazing.

There is multiple POV in this story, and this story will explore the theories of multiverse, consciousness, time travel, prophecies, spirituality, and ancient wisdom.

the characters introduced will grow, learn and change with each subsequent story leading to a action packed conclusions.

Can they save multiverse from destruction? Will “good” or “evil” prevail.

This is a can’t miss series!!!
