Quick read as a lead in to the book Savage Lies. This story ends on a cliffhanger. When I started reading it, I was a bit iffy about it. I didn’t really feel any kind of real connection to Riley’s character. But things got more interesting when Cole’s character was introduced. The things going on in his life kept the pace of the book going to keep me interested enough to finish it. And while the events toward the end of the story are predictable, if I read through the series, it’ll be because I need to know how things play out between him and his father. Overall, a good read.
This was a great suspense/thriller read. Even though it is book 3 in the series, it is able to be read a stand alone. I love a suspense book that you can’t figure out how it ends, until it ends. This story has that element. I connected to the characters and enjoyed the tie in of a mysterious death to a current case. The idea that the people that are on the force had ties to the past case made it that more suspenseful because I wanted them to find out the answers. I really like the both Elizabeth and Lila’s characters – even though I felt there was some angst between the two, they worked well together to solve the case. I would recommend this book to mystery/thriller genre lovers.

This is my first book by this author which I look forward to seeing what is next for her. I enjoyed reading this suspenseful story. This is a well written story that has characters that not only bring the story to life but also add so much to the story. They are creative, unique and connectable. They are strong and supportive of each other. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. The twists and turns are like no other. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot. I was pulled into the story from the first word. I really enjoyed this story. I highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite romance stories by this author. I enjoyed how she is able to pull me into the story from the start and how she gives her stories a realistic feel. This story is no different. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. An engaging story about secrets and what those secrets could do to lives if found out. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story. They are strong, supportive characters that are not only relatable but add so much to the story. This is an easy and entertaining story that has great growth as well as chemistry. You don’t want to miss what happens with this story. I really enjoyed reading this romance story. I highly recommend this book.

This is the 2nd book in the Billionaire Blind Dates series, and it was just as good as the first. I love the connection of this group of friends. They are always there for each other no matter what. Evan has been a silent partner in Kayla’s brain child Blind Dates and now he was on blind dates of his own there. Would he find love? Would Kayla ever tell him how she really feels about him? If all the crazy things that were happening with the restaurant would stop, maybe they could figure it all out. I can’t wait to read the next book!!!!

A Dowry of Snails and Mud by Brittany Tucker is an enjoyable young adult fiction book with history embedded throughout. It follows 16 year old Rhia as she enters into an arranged marriage with Prince Emerys. The young couple faces many challenges, especially coming from different classes and places. The added pressure from parents out for opposite goals ensures that the story is fast-paced. If you love a good opposites attract story with a strong heroine then this little treat of a book is for you.

S.Ann Cole brings another exciting book to her Red Cage Series with The Golden Garza. The beginning of the book contains a Quick Information Guide with all of the characters that are part of the series. This book focuses on Soleil and Tripp. Soleil is best friends with Tillie and has decided to visit her in Los Angeles. Soleil (aka Sunny) is a YouTube fitness trainer and has been able to save up the money she needs to get an interview with Red Cage to help her find out what her real identity is. Tillie is elated when she greets Sunny at the airport. Then the shoe drops—they are staying at Tripp’s house because Tillie’s has had to be worked on and is not inhabitable currently. Sunny likes Tripp, but he is not a fan of her after their past. While she was drunk and in Costa Rica with the Garza family, she attempted to kiss Tripp while he was sleeping. He woke and shoved her away. Six years had passed since then, but he still avoided her like the plague. Tillie reassures her that Tripp is away at work and insists that Sunny occupy his room while she takes the guest room. However, Tripp returns in the middle of the night. Sunny has a secret crush on Tripp, and when he starts to become intimate with her, she goes along with it. Right before he reaches to put a condom on, Sunny tries to kiss him.
Tripp Garza does not kiss! He stops and turns the light on to discover Sunny in his bed and not his long-term friend with benefits, Maggie. Sunny tries to apologize, and Tripp knows that Tillie is responsible for the bedroom fiasco. He tells Sunny to stay in his room and that things will be sorted out in the morning. He leaves the room. The following day, Sunny is waiting for a taxi to Red Cage for her appointment when Tripp pulls up beside her on his motorcycle. He tells her to get on, and they zip through traffic, arriving in time for her to be early for her appointment. When she starts to say thank you, Tripp drives away.
Soleil goes to the meeting with Red Cage. Trent, Guy, and Ruebin are at the meeting where she tells them about her dilemma. She had been adopted and had no recollection of her memories before age thirteen. Her “father” died, and that was when she discovered he was not her real father. When she was willing to sign over the gym to Lance, the co-owner of the business, he disappeared. They tell her they will call her in a few days with their decision. Trent is against taking the case because of the cost and knowing she can’t afford it. Tripp has compassion for her and says he will pay for it. Guy also contributes $200,000 to the pot. Unbeknownst to Soleil, Tripp has feelings he is trying to hide, and they all go back to before the attempted kiss in Costa Rica.

Evan is the second book in the Billionaire Blind Dates series by Toni Denise. This could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple. Having said that though, I recommend reading the first book before starting this one, as it will definitely add more depth to your reading experience. Plus who doesn’t love a hunky billionaire? This story engrossed me right from the start with Toni Denise weaving another captivating billionaire romance with a ‘friends-to-lovers’ element, office/workplace romance, friendship, an intriguing new dating app experience, chemistry, connection, blind dates, drama, angst, emotion, and taking a chance on love. It is a wonderful follow up to the first book and I am having a hard time choosing my favourite between the two. Kayla has been busy helping others find love with the launch of her novel restaurant and dating app, Blind Date. But she has yet to find a lasting romantic connection of her own. Evan, her friend and silent business partner is excited to see the business doing so well. He sees the results second-hand, from behind the scenes, so after a friend finds love using “Blind Date”, Evan decides to try the experience for himself. What happens makes for a fun read. As I mentioned in my review of ‘Jake’, the first book in this series, I really like the blind date/dating app aspect to the story, it added a fun and intriguing element to the whole storyline. I also found Evan and Kayla to be quite likeable- they were easy to connect with and I easily became invested in them and the outcome of their story. I can’t wait for Cade’s story which is due to release this June (2023)… Looking forward to “Cade” (Book #3). Happy Reading!

This is the first novel that I have read by this author and i thought it was a good one. It was a New Adult Sci-fi Romance that caught my attention because of the pretty cover and the interesting synopsis. It was fast paced and involved a romantic adventure in space. This author’s writing style was good and for that reason alone I am looking forward to more by this author in the future. I would recommend to anyone wanting a fast paced sci-fi space adventure. Wow, following Landry’s story of teenage life brought me back to late middle, early high school years. Krysten perfectly tells what it is like to be a teenage girl. The stress, the betrayal, the finding yourself, and everything that comes with it. I wish I would’ve had this book back then so I knew it was okay and it wasn’t always me when those two faced friends made you think it was.

Dusty is a lone widower with a gambling problem. In order to keep his ranch he needs to make a lot of money quickly. Dusty finds Lovely Jo who just so happens to have a hefty bounty on her head. Dusty must decide to either protect Lovely Jo or claim the bounty for turning her in.
This is a short, easy read, but I found it a bit too short. I wanted more of the backstory to understand the characters and their motivation. The romance was good and the story was sweet. I appreciate that Dusty was a true gentleman towards Lovely Jo.

Having read books from the author’s other series; I was so excited to get to check this book out. I had not read the first 3 books, but the author did an amazing job of recapping the relationships from the previous books in a way that was seamless with this story. The connection between Adam Tron and Cristy Valor was immediately electric and steamy. The character development of the characters as a couple and as individuals was well written. The author did a great job of setting up Cristy’s past and how it affects her life now in a way that you truly feel for her. The story definitely had some great twists and some seriously emotional scenes! If you are looking for a fun and steamy story, full of heart and wonderful characters, this is the book and series for you!

What a glorious addition to this series! I loved every Single Second! I started this and struggled to put it down. Yes, it is that good! It is filled with action, drama, suspense and kept me highly entertained. It is a well done story that pushes all the characters to their limits and shows what they can really do.
I really thought Soleil was barking up the wrong tree with Tripp. He’s mean to her and really shows no interest. Luckily this story has some chapters from his POV so we get a peek inside his head.
I loved all the times with his brothers, wives and their family. Their camaraderie makes me smile. Red Cage activities always intrigue me and keep me entertained.
I eagerly look forward to that sassy Tillie getting her story and finding out who can handle her.

The first book was definitely harder to get in to than I first anticipated. But once I got use to how all the characters were being introduced, I really started to get into it. I found these stories hard to put down and was able to read them quicker than I initially thought. Mr. Talisman did a wonderful job, not only with the character building but the multiple worlds building. I was able to visualize what I was reading and picture myself a part of his story. I had my favorite characters, but really enjoyed them all. I would definitely recommend this series, whether you enjoy this genre or not. I hope to read more from this author in the future.

Pirates and pigs, what’s not to love? This book was entertaining and had classic pig jokes. Read it to my 5 year old niece and she absolutely loves it. Birthday present here you come! Half-Pint learns a valuable lesson in waiting and it was a fun little adventure!

This book was a lot of fun and lead to a lot of conversations about bee’s and what they do for us. Those conversations lead to more research and learning about bees. Since I am allergic to bee’s we wont get a chance to make a beehive for our backyard, that this book provided instructions for, but it was great to learn how to do! I love how this author’s books always lead to better conversations for us. I would recommend!
The first book, Journeys Through SpaceTime, falls a bit flat. There was no emotion or connection to the characters. I felt like I was watching movie scenes instead of reading a book. The change in viewpoints consistently was confusing. There were viewpoints that I liked and some that I did not. It was nice when the story switched to the characters, I was most interested in. It was like reading five different books and hard to remember it all. I was confused by how it was all connected, when I reached the end of the book it was not any clearer.
The second book, Journeys Through TimeSpace, is much better and starts to help connect a few missing dots. Instead of being all over the place we are focused on saving the Earth with Matt and his friend, Dan, and girlfriend, Julia. The secret societies add to the story instead of taking away because they have the information needed to save Earth. My favorite part is when Matt, Dan, and Julia time travel to different lives that they have previously lived throughout time. The few cuts to the enemy reptilian species add to the suspense, starting with them gaining the power to destroy Earth. It helps to put more tension or pressure on the main characters.
The third book, Journeys Through AllCreation, helped to further connect the dots. It starts two years after our last adventure. One of the characters from the first book turns out to be Matts’ twin in his past life and they must save the MultiVerse. Another of the viewpoints that we haven’t heard since book one comes back into play. Still one of my biggest issues is that ideas that I need (or like to be) explained are not. This is a Billionaire Blind Date Romance. This book is the continuation of the billionaire best friend romance series. However, it definitely is a stand alone. It is not necessary to read any of the others and you will not feel lost at all. I’m going to leave this at a very vague review, as I do not want to risk spoiling anything. Evan and his friends have agreed to set up their friends on blind dates. So far, they have been very successful. Now, its Evan’s turn. He isn’t expecting much because he isn’t sure he really wants to settle down or truthfully, if they can even find anyone worth settling down for. But he is willing to give it a try, especially since he is the silent partner in a new business venture in town, a blind date restaurant. He loves the idea so he is willing to give it a try. He has a few awful dates, but then one hits it off. But this date may be more complicated than meets the eye. I truly enjoyed this story. It was an easy read that I definitely recommend.

This is a quick and enjoyable mystery story that is also quite light hearted and fun. It was an easy book to get into and is the kind of book that you read in one sitting. It was great to get caught up I the story the author was telling and the characters on the page. I wanted to see how things would place out and if the main character would figure it out. This is a relatively new author to me but so far I can definitely say I am a fan of her work. This book was thoroughly enjoyable and clearly the start of what will be a fun new series.
This book took off from the start with me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put the book down because I just needed to know what happens next! This book won’t disappoint. Dominic has had to fight for everything he owns from a very early age. When he is accused and arrested for his girlfriend, Juliana Rutherford’s disappearance, he only wants revenge for what he’s been through. When Whitney comes into the picture, she thinks she can help Dominic. But can these two trust each other enough to get the job down and to find out what happened to Juliana before it’s too late.

This book is the second in the Anderson Sisters series and was definitely as good as the first. It is a contemporary romance that can be read as a standalone. The book is certainly emotional, tackling a sensitive topic in a gentle way. For me this really impacted the characters and made them much more relatable and real. They had a great connection right from the start but had such a huge obstacle to overcome. The author weaves and enjoyable story that connects with its audience. It has a great balance between emotional, romance and an overall enjoyment. I think this is a great book and I am looking forward to more from this author.

Can she come to terms with this new life of Titans, mates, and evil necromancers in time to be of help? Or will she condemn them all to a worse fate because she cannot trust her new life, mate, and friends?
This is the third installment of this series. I HIGHLY recommend you read them in order from the beginning. There are so many characters filling different roles that it would be easy to get lost in the plot. They are strong characters that all work together to overcome the evil that threatens our world, though. Faiza’s struggle to move past familial loyalty was well written as well as her doubts about what was happening to her. Her acceptance of herself is struggle that I think everyone can identify with. It will be interesting to see how the series progresses from here.

Her aim; to be happy, find some answers and run the hardware store that her father left her.<br />The added family issues bring this book more into reality than some romantic fiction, what a mother and father will do after a relationship breakdown, and how they protect the children, which can be seen in the emotional issues that Lily (and Jake) have to deal with later in life. <br />Jake knew Lily’s dad, and wants to help her as much as he can to come to terms with the man she never knew, he finds himself wanting to get to know her too.<br />Emotions roll up and down as this pair struggles to come to know themselves, and each other, and Lily struggles to get the business running whilst coming to grips with the past. <br />A great read that I hope will be the first of many by this author.<br /> <br/><br/> <a href=”https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/34425105-tracy”>View all my reviews</a>
