As the chill of winter begins, Fay and her friends start to move to warmer waters. Along the way, Fay and her friends help other marine animals. Once they have been helped, the other animals join Fay and her friends in their pursuit of warmer waters, causing a parade of friends, and kindness. This is an adorable book for young children that not only promotes helping others, but also brings up topics like things in the oceans that are dangerous to the animals, and getting separated from your parents in child friendly ways that parents can choose to expand on as they see fit. The illustrations are beautiful. I shared this with my children (who are admittedly older than the target audience, 4th and 5th grade) and they loved it as well.

I have read a few of these books by G Pa Rhymes with my son. We always enjoy the adventure the characters go on. This time, it was an adventure of kindness. Fay and Cray start swimming to warmer waters. On their way, they find some animals who need help. These books always flow nicely and will keep kids entertained. They will also learn something along the way. At the end of each book, there is always extra fun included.

It was brilliant to get back into a story with Cray and his friends. Each one is always so entertaining and just as good as the last. This particular book is all about friendship and kindness and it was such as joy to read. the author takes the readers on such a fun journey, right alongside the characters. it is imaginative and engaging. Each book that we read by this author is always one we enjoy. I love being able to read them to my children and they also enjoy connecting with the story. This author has really proved they know how to right a fantastic children’s story and we will be eagerly awaiting the next book.

Another enjoyable story from this author. Cray goes on a new adventure with Fay. They meet new friends and help other animals along the way. The story is very cute and helps making to discuss being kind with the littles. The illustration in here is rock solid! Good colors that will draw the eye of readers. I always look forward to more in the delightful series.

This is a super cute book about kindness – so important! It is a great read aloud for young children and would be a great addition to a school bookshelf or at home. The story is of Cray and his friends who go about finding other sea creatures who need a little kindness. As they complete each act of kindness, they find that they are spreading joy throughout their ocean community.

Turtle Fay and Cray Crab are back for another adventure in Fay’s Kindness Parade. This is another wonderful story as my great nieces and great nephew enjoy all the books in The Adventures of Cray series. I can say I LOVE these book as well. Colorful and beautiful illustrations and rhyming storytelling really draw you in and you cannot help but not love Turtle Fay with Cray Crab and friends.
It is time for Turtle Fay to travel to warmer waters and invites along Cray Crab. What fun to have is a Kindness Parade before departure. As Fay and Cray start their journey…they meet and help new friends along the way.
Wonderful story and I love all the adventures that Turtle Fay with Cray Crab and friends have. This story made me smile from ear to ear.

Winter is coming and Fay must migrate to warmer waters. G Pa Rhymes always such realistic situations that Cray and the ocean’s creatures face such as the whale trapped in the net. The always beautiful illustrations of Erica Leigh bring the words to life with vibrate colors. There is always time to help those around you in need as Fay and Cray show throughout this fun read. At the back it has information on why Turtle Fay needed to leave the Bay for warmer waters and how we can help the ocean and its creatures from harmful situations like the whale faced. Fun informative little series that always spreads good values can’t wait to see what Cray and his friends face next.

Fay’s Kindness Parade is the fifth book in The Adventures of Cray series by G Pa Rhymes. This is such a cute series of books and I have really enjoyed reading the charming books with my young grandchildren- Cray, Hay, Gray, Fay, and Ray have such fun adventures, and always learn something along the way. This story sees Cray the crab set off on an adventure with Fay the turtle when she sets off on her annual migration. All their other friends had plans, and Fay didn’t want Cray to be alone, so she invited him along. They set out and immediately begin doing small acts of kindness, making new friends along the way. Through their acts of kindness, they spread love and good vibrations, and as their new friends join them, a parade is formed. This was such a lovely story that also imparts messages of being kind, helping others, teamwork, friendship/making friends, compassion, empathy, contributing to the community, enriching lives, and facts about turtle migration. Again, this fun story is accompanied by lots of lovely, bright, colourful, interesting, and engaging illustrations — which help to bring the whole story to life. G. Pa Rhymes tells another really cute tale in his clever rhyming/rapping storytelling style, which adds an extra element of interest to the whole story. Easy to read. Educational. Fun. Interesting. I really enjoyed this book. I love this series and the author because the stories are so uplifting and full of characters that help show children how working together can be fun and rewarding for everyone. This story of Cray and Fay’s adventure as they travel together to warmer climate was inspiring. They connected and helped so many individuals on their journey. It shows that helping each other is a great way to connect and make friends. I really recommend this series and author to parents with children who love to read.

This might just be my favorite book so far by this author. Great illustrations, great rhyming storyline,and as always a great lesson within. This time, about kindness. There’s also questions at the end that help your child openly chat about the story/lesson. This is another fantastic addition to the Cray’s Adventure series. In this book, Fay the Turtle has to make her way to warmer waters for the winter and along the way spreads kindness by helping out her fellow creatures. I love the sing-songy nature that Rhymes writes in. It gives the story such a nice flow and rhythm to read out loud in that children love. The lessons that kids will get from this book (and all of the others) are lifelong. The illustrations are fabulous, brilliant, and so vibrant that they will capture the attention of children and adults alike. I’m also a huge fan of the discussion points at the end of the books. This is a great opportunity for teachers and parents to look for comprehension and understanding from their littles. I love this series and can’t wait for the next one!

I have really enjoyed this series so far. Each story is full of beautiful illustrations and wonderful prose. In this story we learn that it is ok to be afraid and admit you are afraid. I would highly recommend all of the books in this series for all ages and abilities to either read together or alone.

Let me tell you, “Hay Goes Home” by G Pa Rhymes is an absolute gem of a children’s book. I loved the way it emphasizes friendship and overcoming those little hiccups we all face in life. Cray the Crab and Hay the Fox make an adorable pair, and their journey to Hay’s mother’s birthday party is a blast to follow.
What really struck me about this book is the way G Pa Rhymes uses playful rhymes. They flow perfectly, making the story a treat to read aloud. Plus, Erica Leigh’s illustrations are super charming and really bring Cray, Hay, and the world they travel through to life.
The friendship between Cray and Hay is so heartwarming. They support and encourage each other the entire way, making it a great example for kids. And as they face their challenges, you really see how important it is to persevere and know when to ask for a helping hand.
Honestly, “Hay Goes Home” is the kind of book that stays with you. The story’s great, the illustrations are a joy, and the messages about friendship and overcoming obstacles are spot on. I’d definitely recommend this one for any child’s library.

Hay the Fox is headed home for her mother’s birthday party, and she is taking Cray the crab with her. Along the way, Hay and Cray learn how to be braver and how to ask for help. From being afraid of crossing rapidly moving water, to being afraid of an unexpected animal in a cave, the friends must learn how to manage and find their way safely home. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is short with a rhyming cadence that makes it quick and easy to share with young children. I would recommend this book for any child who may be struggling with feeling scared or unsure. This is a great book for young kids, preschool age or older.

We were so excited to pick up another book by this author! I haven’t found anything I disliked about his books yet because he has such a way with words. Rhyming is great for kids, but I find myself bouncing along with the rhythm as well. Somehow, he created something that is part rhythmic fun and part valuable life lesson. The list of courage builders at the end was something I hadn’t seen before and made my kids add more ideas to their own courage lists! We all experience these big feelings like fear, panic, relief, and bravery, so to learn about it in a children’s book was fascinating! It should absolutely be focused on more with earlier development. The illustrations were icing on top of a delicious cake as well. These books by G Pa Rhymes are always full of beautiful illustrations. I absolutely love them. I read these with my son and we enjoy them. They always have a great lesson too. This one teaches about courage and that it’s okay to ask for help sometimes. Cray and Hay are great friends going on an adventure. They also meet some new friends along the way.
