Tapestry of Worlds, Part Two: Running and Gunning by Hadley Thorne was a very intriguing book. Even though I haven’t read Part One: The White Raven Awakens, there was still enough backstory cleverly woven through this book that it could be read as a stand alone. I will still go and check out Part One before moving onto Part Three though. The world is amazing and the mix of paranormal, current times and mythology had me enthralled. The writing was well executed and the characters were relatable. Not a cliffhanger but a nice set up for Part Three.

I enjoyed this young adult adventure story. This is a great story for any young adult who is looking for adventure and they will find it in this book. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help get to know the characters better but can be read as a stand alone. This is a well developed story that took me on an entertaining, fun adventure and fantasy. The characters bring the story to life and make it engaging. I enjoyed how they were not only paranormal but also creatures. This is a fast paced story that pulls you into a magical world of friends and enemies. I am happy I picked up this book and I think you will too. I highly recommend this book.

Wow!!!! I need more stars and exclamation points! I’m not even sure I have adequate words to describe the adventure I found in these pages. The author did an amazing job crafting this story. I didn’t feel at a loss not having read book one but I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Just a fantastic book and one that I will gladly reread as soon as possible!

Hadley Thorne was born in the great state of Mississippi, self-identifies as a steel magnolia, and

reads Zombie fiction to deal with anxiety and stress. Some of her favorite movies are Big

Trouble in Little China, Flash Gordan, and the Evil Dead. She believes laughter is the best

medicine, music is food for the soul, and that everything you need to know about someone can

be figured out by playing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody when you are alone with them in the

car.

Before the pandemic, Hadley enjoyed spending time with the family of friends she has created

throughout her lifetime and has even been known to attend the occasional medieval

re-enactment or renaissance fairs. Besides hiking, she loves spending time in her garden,

exploring all things spooky and strange, and learning about dreams, energy healing, and

shamanism.

Ultimately, she believes finding magic in everyday life is a necessity. Due to this, she does her

best to weave spectacular tidbits of truth, myth, and legend into the same magical realism she

views the world with. Through her writing, she hopes to create a mythic world kindred spirits can

escape to, at least for a few hours.

When not writing and researching the Tapestry series, Hadley works with Producer Lauren

Smith, paranormal writer Gracie Ellison, and James Erby on the Wyrd Realities podcast

featuring the Wyrd Ink Sessions, and the Wyrd Realities YouTube Channel.Find her on social
