Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell Series by Isra Sravenheart. This book takes us back to the beginning. We see how it came about that one beautiful woman who believed in love and all things good and how she turned her back on it all and became the blackened heart and souled dark witch. This fantasy story is full of magic and witches, love and heartache, secrets and lies, revenge and treachery and hate. This story is full of emotions and what our witch goes through will leave your heartbreaking for her. This intriguing fairy tale fantasy has something for anyone who loves something a little different and dark.

I enjoyed this shifter paranormal story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is part of the series Dark Spell which I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that has characters that not only bring the story to life on each page but pull you into the story from the beginning. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. Lady Iris is back in another page turning story. She has not always been on the dark side but at one time she was on the light side. Now she is faced with trying to get into the light before she has to stay in the dark side the way everyone thinks she is. There are quite a few characters in this story and they all have their own uniqueness and bring something different to the story. They are connectable and truly made the story enjoyable for me. This is a great story and worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book.

The fourth book in the Dark Spell Series, Her Dark Love, takes us back in time to Isra’s days at the Wingdom’s Academy. Isra has come to the academy to hone her craft. Being the child of mundanes, Isra has not had a chance to study the craft of witchcraft before. She is looking forward to learning everything there is to know.

Isra, not being a social person, does befriend Everilda. They become friends even though they are drastically different. Isra is not a social creature and wants nothing to do with finding a male friend; she is at the Academy to learn. Everilda has not mastered her craft, but she’s really not interested. She is self-absorbed and cruel. She is looking for fun while she is at the Academy.

Shockingly, Isra meets Jonathan while on one of her evening walks. She is intrigued by Jonathan, so she agrees to meet him once more. Unbeknownst to Isra, Everilda has already begun a relationship with Jonathan. Everilda is cruelly intrigued by the thought of being in a love triangle with Isra and Jonathan.

Astrid, now a raven, is working for Samuel, a light-bringer. He watches over magicals that have turned dark. Samuel is tasked by the people high up in the light-bringer society to watch Isra because she is part of a prophecy. According to the prophecy, Isra will turn dark. Astrid watches Isra and Jonathan on their date. From observation, Astrid thinks there is no possible way that Isra will turn dark.

Can Samuel and Astrid stop Isra from turning dark, or will the prophecy come true?
